Lil Wayne recently dropped by Mountain Dew over Emmett Till Controversy

Lil Wayne is no longer a spokesman for Mountain Dew.

PepsiCo let the Y.C.M.B. boss go as a result of his controversial lyrics, that goes something like this:

"Beat that pu--y up like Emmett Till," in Future's 'Karate Chop' remix.

Lil Wayne offered an apology in a letter to the Emmet Till's family, but I assume it wasn't enough.

PepsiCo released a statement saying that Weezy's "offensive reference to a revered civil rights icon does not reflect the values of our brand."

"We do not plan any additional work with Lil Wayne moving forward."

When Emmet Till was 14, he was beaten to beyond recognition for allegedly whistling at a white woman.

Epic Records removed the lyrics from the song and issued an apology, Wayne said that he would not be performing the song ever again.

The Till family felt that the apology wasn't sincere and called for mountain Dew to drop the Young Money CEO

As you may already know, Rapper Rick Ross was dropped by Reebok over controversial lyrics that were deemed to be pro rape. Anyway, in an interview with 'RapFix Live', Snoop Lion gave in interesting point of view concerning the fallout with Reebok.

"When you're buying Snoop Dogg you're buying all that that come with it. When you're buying Rozay, you're buying all that come with it," the newly reincarnated Snoop Lion said Wednesday when he appeared on "RapFix Live." "You know what his lifestyle is about, you know what his music is about, so you have to engulf all of that. If you're not willing to take all that on, then step out of the way and stop playing and acting like he's bringing harm to your company."

"He actually made your company worth something and made your company relevant, because who cares about your company if you don't have a rapper connected to it," he continued.

"First of all, we as rappers we have a freedom of speech and our dialect shouldn't be taken so out of context. He has the right to speak on whatever he wants to speak on and that's his perspective," Snoop said in Ross' defense. "Me personally, as a rapper, I don't have no regrets about what I say, so I wouldn't give a damn about endorsement deals or none of that. If y'all cut me loose than y'all weren't meant to be with me — that's what I say."
