I wanted him to see himself the way I do, as a beautiful person, and to treat himself better. This is my favorite riff on the record: It's a constant, revving build-up of tension, like an agitated, mental state that allows for no comfort or resolution. This was the first song that Jim Pinder (Sleep Token, Bring Me The Horizon) mixed from the record, and it set the blueprint: crushing, spitty industrial balanced with expansive, melancholic beauty."

"We had an hour to spare at the end of filming for another song so we decided to do a one-take, live rendition of 'Get Them Out' as an homage to our favourite music video of all time. No edits, one shot, make-up artist cameo, and all. I'm sure people will hate us for it," says Kitty.

For the first time visiting Linz, Austria and the legendary Posthof venue, there could hardly have been a more fitting introduction than witnessing Knocked Loose at the absolute peak of their powers. On a semi-rainy Saturday evening, the 1,250-capacity venue was completely sold out, something the band proudly confirmed earlier that day through their Instagram page. Even the weather could not keep fans away from what is currently one of the hottest names in hardcore and heavy music altogether. If there was still any doubt about the band’s status, the fact that KNOCKED LOOSE are opening selected dates of Metallica’s European stadium tour says everything that needs to be said.

Opening the night were Austrian hardcore heroes FATAL PATH, a band injecting hardcore with bursts of grindcore chaos and death metal brutality. Their mission was simple: warm up the crowd and ignite the room early — and they absolutely succeeded. The audience immediately responded to the band’s relentless aggression, setting the tone for the violence and energy that would define the entire evening. There was no hesitation from the crowd; circle pits and swinging arms were already in full effect before the headliners even stepped on stage.

Second on the bill were Scorn, the hard-hitting crossover thrash/hardcore force formed by members of the Swedish and Austrian DIY scenes, including veterans of Disavow and Dregs. Fresh off the release of their debut EP Cruel World earlier this year, SCORN delivered a crushing set packed with apocalyptic energy, rhythm-heavy thrash, hardcore punk violence, and even sludge-soaked atmosphere.
