Ever since Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo—collectively known around the globe as the Lucha Brothers—made their highly anticipated leap to WWE, the wrestling world has been eagerly holding its breath for their iconic tag team run. However, WWE threw a curveball right out of the gate by placing the two real-life brothers on entirely separate brands. With Penta carving out his legacy on Monday Night Raw and Rey Fenix lighting up Friday Night SmackDown, the duo’s journey has taken an unexpected but deeply fascinating turn. Now, Fenix is finally shedding some light on his current solo run, his brother’s immense success, and the eventual, inevitable reunion of one of the greatest tag teams of the modern era.

The decision to split the brothers initially left some fans scratching their heads, but the creative choice has paid off in spades by allowing both men to flourish as singles stars. On Monday Night Raw, Penta El Zero Miedo has fully embraced his vicious, unapologetic persona, shattering expectations by capturing the WWE Intercontinental Championship. The title victory marked his first taste of championship gold in WWE, cementing his status as a premier singles competitor.

Meanwhile, over on the blue brand, Rey Fenix has been nothing short of spectacular. Bringing his jaw-dropping, gravity-defying offense to SmackDown, Fenix has consistently stolen the show. Although he hasn’t captured a singles title just yet, he has continuously knocked on the door of the United States Championship, delivering incredible open challenge performances against top-tier superstars like Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams.

Speaking recently in an interview with RRBG Inc, Fenix offered an incredibly positive and mature perspective on their current brand separation. Instead of expressing frustration over being apart from his brother, the high-flying luchador sees this as a crucial chapter in their respective careers.

“I see it this way. It’s not bad. Obviously, I miss fighting with my brother, but it’s a good opportunity to show who we are individually,” Fenix explained.

By functioning as a solo act, Fenix has been able to mix it up with a diverse array of opponents that he might not have faced otherwise. “I’ve worked with Je’Von Evans, I’ve worked with Andrade when he was there, I’m working with Sami Zayn, I’ve worked with Rey (Mysterio) at recent AAA events. I think it’s a good opportunity for us as wrestlers and for the public to see something different.”

Of course, the burning question remains: when will the Lucha Brothers finally conquer WWE’s tag team division together? According to Fenix, the master plan requires one vital ingredient—patience. He reassured fans that the WWE brass is fully aware of the demand for a Lucha Bros run, but they are deliberately holding off to ensure maximum impact.

“And believe me, they know that people are waiting for the Lucha Brothers, and the Lucha Brothers are waiting for the moment,” Fenix revealed. “But something that wrestling and this sport have taught me is patience. It’s going to be the right moment that the Lucha Brothers deserve. It’s not that we don’t deserve it and you don’t deserve to see the Lucha Brothers today, but I know that when the moment gets there is the right moment, and it’s going to be the right moment.”

Interestingly, fans were almost treated to a pseudo-reunion outside of the WWE umbrella late last year. In late 2025, the Lucha Brothers were slated to team up in Lucha Libre AAA for the Guerra de Titanes event. The highly anticipated match would have seen them square off against WWE’s own Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano. Unfortunately, disaster struck when Penta suffered a shoulder injury just a month before the event, forcing him to the sidelines. In a poetic twist of fate, WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio stepped in to replace Penta, but it left fans yearning even more for the true brothers to ride together once again.

For now, the WWE Universe will have to practice the same patience that Fenix preaches. With Penta reigning supreme as the Intercontinental Champion on Raw and Fenix continuing to dazzle audiences in his pursuit of gold on SmackDown, both men are proving exactly why they are main event caliber on their own. But as Fenix warned, the clock is ticking. When the stars finally align and the right moment arrives, the WWE tag team landscape will never be the same.

When fans and pundits discuss the foundational pillars of All Elite Wrestling (AEW), one name consistently rises to the top of the conversation: Jon Moxley. The former AEW World Champion and current reigning AEW Continental Champion has built a reputation as the undeniable beating heart of the promotion. Known for his unapologetic brawling style, gritty promos, and willingness to give everything he has to the business, Moxley is an athlete cut from an old-school cloth. In an era where many top-tier professional wrestlers negotiate for lighter schedules and load management to preserve their bodies, Moxley is firmly marching in the opposite direction. Recently, the superstar made headlines by declaring that, if given the green light by management, he would lace up his boots and step into the squared circle every single night.

In an illuminating new interview with TV Insider, Moxley peeled back the curtain on his mindset, explaining the deep-seated philosophy that fuels his unrelenting work ethic. For Moxley, wrestling isn’t just a job or a television performance; it is a continuously evolving craft that demands rigorous, physical practice. “The only way you get better at this is to do it a lot,” Moxley plainly stated. This straightforward approach highlights a relentless dedication to the art of professional wrestling. To him, in-ring reps are everything. He firmly believes that the nuances of ring psychology, timing, and physical storytelling can only be perfected through consistent, active competition.

However, Moxley’s desire to perform isn’t entirely rooted in personal glory or an ego-driven need to be the center of attention. In fact, one of the most revealing takeaways from his interview is his profound dedication to the next generation of wrestlers. Moxley spoke passionately about the immense satisfaction he gets from watching his peers and opponents develop. Having experienced the whirlwind journey of going from an absolute “nobody” working the gritty independent circuits to becoming a global television megastar, Moxley feels a unique responsibility to bring others along for the ride.

Whether he is teaming up with his Death Riders stablemates or locking horns with a fresh-faced opponent, Moxley is constantly evaluating the talent around him. He noted that he often looks for the subtle, intricate details that most fans or even other wrestlers might completely ignore. “I’m like, ‘f*ck yeah’ when I see someone is leveling up and their understanding of this is leveling up,” he remarked. For Moxley, a strong work ethic is the ultimate currency in the locker room. When he sees someone putting in the necessary effort to improve their in-ring IQ, it resonates with him on a deeply personal level.

Interestingly, despite his craving to wrestle 365 days a year, Moxley showcased his unselfish leadership by adding an important caveat. He acknowledged that while he and his crew would happily be in the ring every night, he also recognizes the absolute necessity of stepping aside to let other talents get their essential reps. He wants the younger roster members to have the same opportunities to grind, make mistakes, and ultimately improve under the bright lights of AEW television.

Moxley’s philosophy of staying active will certainly be on full display in the immediate future as the road to AEW Revolution reaches its climax. Fans can look forward to seeing the Continental Champion in action on AEW Dynamite, broadcasting live from San Jose. He is slated to join forces with his trusted ally and fellow powerhouse, Claudio Castagnoli. The formidable duo will be going to war against the dangerous Don Callis Family representatives, Konosuke Takeshita and the phenomenal luchador Hechicero.

This high-stakes tag team collision is far more than just a standard television exhibition; it serves as the boiling point for Moxley’s upcoming pay-per-view title defense. On Sunday, at the highly anticipated AEW Revolution event, Moxley will put his prestigious AEW Continental Championship on the line in a blockbuster singles match against Takeshita. Given the brutal, hard-hitting styles of both men, the championship bout is already widely expected to be a grueling test of endurance, showcasing exactly why Moxley believes in the power of staying battle-tested and active.

Ultimately, Jon Moxley’s recent comments serve as a powerful reminder of why he remains one of the most beloved and respected figures in the professional wrestling industry today. He is a tireless workhorse who leads by example, actively lifting up the roster around him while simultaneously defending his spot at the top of the mountain. As long as AEW has television time to fill, fans can rest assured that Moxley will be ready, willing, and eager to step through the ropes and go to war.

Professional wrestling is an industry built on grueling schedules and physical endurance, but few challenges are as daunting as pulling “double duty” on a massive pay-per-view stage. When All Elite Wrestling (AEW) heads into its highly anticipated Revolution event on March 15, 2026, the AEW women’s division will take center stage in a monumental way. As confirmed on the March 11 edition of AEW Dynamite, two of the company’s most formidable competitors—Willow Nightingale and Lena Kross—are officially slated to wrestle twice in one night, with multiple championships hanging in the balance.

This rare and physically taxing scenario was set into motion during a passionate in-ring segment on Dynamite. Willow Nightingale, currently enjoying her impressive second reign as the AEW TBS Champion, took to the microphone alongside her tag team partner, Harley Cameron. Together, the champion duo known as the “Babes of Wrath” has been dominating the women’s tag team division. However, Nightingale wasn’t just focused on tag team glory. Demonstrating the fierce fighting spirit that has made her a massive fan favorite, Nightingale laid down a direct challenge to Lena Kross for a one-on-one showdown for the TBS Championship, essentially volunteering for an exhausting two-match schedule.

The first chapter of this intense rivalry will kick off before the main pay-per-view even begins. Nightingale will put her TBS Championship on the line against Kross during the AEW Revolution Zero Hour pre-show. For Kross, this presents a golden opportunity to secure singles gold and make a massive statement on one of AEW’s biggest platforms of the year. For Nightingale, it is a chance to solidify her legacy as a fighting champion who refuses to back down from a threat. However, the result of this high-stakes singles bout will inevitably bleed into the rest of their evening, as both women will have to ice their wounds, catch their breath, and prepare to go to war all over again on the main card.

Later in the night, the bad blood will spill over into the tag team division. The Babes of Wrath (Nightingale and Cameron) will defend their AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships against the powerhouse duo of Kross and Megan Bayne, collectively known as “MegaBad.” The challengers have been riding a massive wave of momentum heading into Revolution. Just days prior, on the March 7 episode of AEW Collision, MegaBad cemented their status as top-tier contenders by decisively defeating the Timeless Love Bombs. With Megan Bayne’s sheer, unadulterated strength and Kross’s ruthless aggression, MegaBad poses a legitimate, potentially title-ending threat to the Babes of Wrath’s championship reign.

The psychology of this double-duty scenario adds an incredibly compelling layer to both matches. Whichever woman walks out of the Zero Hour pre-show with the TBS Championship will carry a distinct psychological advantage going into the tag team title bout. Conversely, the physical toll of the first match cannot be ignored. Will Nightingale’s legendary resilience allow her to successfully defend two championships in a matter of hours? Or will Kross and Bayne capitalize on a potentially fatigued champion to capture tag team gold—and perhaps see Kross walk away with the TBS Championship earlier in the night as well? Harley Cameron and Megan Bayne, who will be completely fresh for the tag team match, will also play massive roles as they try to compensate for their respective partners’ exhaustion.

AEW Revolution 2026 is shaping up to be a historic night filled with incredible in-ring action, but the spotlight is undeniably fixed on Willow Nightingale and Lena Kross. By stepping into the squared circle twice in one night under such high-pressure circumstances, both athletes are proving their immense dedication to their craft. Fans in attendance and watching around the globe are guaranteed to witness a masterclass in endurance, heart, and championship grit as these two iron women attempt to survive and conquer one of the most demanding nights of their professional careers.

The landscape of professional wrestling broadcasting is undergoing a massive, unprecedented transformation. As the streaming wars continue to evolve, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has made a monumental leap in its international media strategy. Beginning on April 1, 2026, Netflix will officially become the exclusive broadcaster for all WWE Premium Live Events (PLEs) in Germany. This groundbreaking shift represents a major win for international wrestling fans, signaling the beginning of a highly accessible and streamlined era for sports entertainment consumption in Europe.

For years, WWE fans have had to navigate a changing tide of localized television deals, pay-per-view models, and standalone streaming apps to catch their favorite superstars in action. Now, the process is becoming incredibly simple. According to the newly minted agreement, all WWE Premium Live Events will be available to Netflix users in Germany both live and on-demand. Best of all, this massive addition comes at no extra cost to the consumer; the events will be fully integrated into Netflix’s standard subscription offering.

The streaming giant is also making sure that the local viewing experience remains authentic and tailored to its audience. German wrestling fans will be treated to dedicated German-language commentary, anchored by the familiar and energetic voices of Calvin Knie and Tim Haber. For those who prefer different audio options, Netflix has confirmed that the Premium Live Events will be accessible in every language available on the platform, giving fans ultimate control over how they experience the hard-hitting action. The localized partnership will not be limited to Germany alone, as the broadcasting rights are slated to expand into Austria starting in April 2026 as well.

The timing of this transition could not be more perfect, as it sets the stage for the biggest event on the professional wrestling calendar. The maiden voyage for Netflix’s WWE PLE broadcast in Germany will be none other than WrestleMania 42. Broadcasting live from the glittering, high-stakes environment of Las Vegas, Nevada, on April 18 and 19, 2026, WrestleMania 42 promises to be a spectacular two-night extravaganza. Having the “Show of Shows” serve as the inaugural event for this new Netflix partnership ensures that the platform will immediately draw a massive audience, kicking off their coverage with the Super Bowl of sports entertainment.

However, the dawn of this exciting new chapter also brings about the bittersweet end of a pioneering era. The commencement of the Netflix deal directly coincides with the permanent shutdown of the standalone WWE Network on April 1. First launched as a revolutionary direct-to-consumer platform, the WWE Network has slowly been phased out globally as WWE transitions toward lucrative third-party licensing agreements. The April 1 shutdown specifically affects the markets of Germany, Austria, and Italy, directly resulting from the expiration of their local media rights deals. While the closure of the WWE Network marks the sunset of a beloved app that housed decades of wrestling history, the migration to Netflix ensures that fans will not be left in the dark.

Taking a broader look at the global media landscape, this localized deal highlights a massive corporate synergy. By securing the rights in Germany and Austria, Netflix has effectively cemented its status as the undisputed, exclusive international home for WWE content in virtually every single global market. Netflix is no longer just a library for movies and television series; it is rapidly transforming into a powerhouse for live sports and entertainment.

As the calendar turns to April 2026, a new era awaits European wrestling enthusiasts. With the beloved commentary team of Knie and Haber calling the action, the unparalleled convenience of the Netflix interface, and the dazzling lights of WrestleMania 42 on the horizon, the future of WWE broadcasting in Germany and Austria looks incredibly bright.

Professional wrestling fans of the late 1990s and early 2000s, it might be time to call somebody! The unmistakable catchphrases and infectious energy of the Attitude Era are making a massive comeback to the independent circuit. In a move that has sent shockwaves of nostalgia throughout the professional wrestling community, “Road Dogg” Jesse James (Brian James) and “Badd Ass” Billy Gunn are officially getting the band back together. The legendary tag team, famously known as The New Age Outlaws, have been announced as the premier guests for Great Lakes Championship Wrestling’s (GLCW) upcoming Blizzard Brawl 21.

A Historic Night in Milwaukee The highly anticipated reunion is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 5, and it promises to be a spectacular night for wrestling purists and casual fans alike. GLCW is pulling out all the stops for Blizzard Brawl 21, marking a brand-new chapter for the promotion by moving the annual extravaganza to a fresh, premium venue: the Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

By securing the Outlaws as the very first guests announced for the showcase, GLCW has instantly elevated the prestige of the event. Blizzard Brawl has long been a staple of the Midwest independent wrestling scene, but the addition of two bona fide WWE Hall of Famers ensures that this year’s iteration will be one for the history books.

Road Dogg’s Return to the Roots This reunion comes at a pivotal transitional moment for Brian “Road Dogg” James. Following a recent and highly publicized departure from his longtime backstage and corporate role within WWE, the wrestling world has been eagerly waiting to see what his next move would be. Rather than hanging up his boots entirely or fading away from the industry he helped revolutionize, James is diving headfirst back into the vibrant world of independent wrestling. It is incredibly fitting—and poetic—that one of his very first phone calls as a free agent was to his most trusted ally and former D-Generation X stablemate.

Billy Gunn’s Cross-Promotional Power What makes this reunion particularly fascinating is the current career trajectory of Billy Gunn. While Road Dogg is fresh off a WWE tenure, Billy Gunn has been enjoying a tremendous career renaissance over on national television as a contracted talent for All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Gunn has managed to defy Father Time, remaining in peak physical condition and maintaining massive popularity with a completely new generation of fans. Because Gunn is currently signed to AEW, seeing him step outside the promotion to link up with a newly freed Road Dogg on the indie scene creates a rare, exciting cross-promotional magic that fans simply cannot miss.

A Legacy That Defined an Era It is impossible to overstate the impact The New Age Outlaws had on the professional wrestling industry. Formed almost out of necessity in the late 1990s when both men were struggling to find their footing as singles competitors, the duo quickly discovered an undeniable, lightning-in-a-bottle chemistry. As core members of the iconic faction D-Generation X, they became the swaggering, trash-talking embodiment of WWE’s Attitude Era.

Together, they are multi-time WWE Tag Team Champions and were rightfully inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, cementing their legacy as one of the most entertaining duos to ever lace up a pair of boots. Their interactive entrance routine—which required the entire arena to shout along with every word—remains one of the most beloved and recognizable spectacles in sports entertainment history.

Looking Ahead With the Outlaws scheduled to bring their signature bravado to Milwaukee this December, the wrestling world is already buzzing with anticipation. Fans attending Blizzard Brawl 21 at the Potawatomi Casino can expect an unforgettable night filled with nostalgia, microphone mastery, and the classic DX chops. Furthermore, this landmark booking strongly suggests that we will be seeing a lot more of the decorated duo hitting the independent circuit in the months to come.

If you’re in the Midwest, it’s time to mark your calendars, because the New Age Outlaws are back to remind everyone why they are the undisputed kings of sports entertainment charisma. And if you aren’t down with that, well, they’ve got two words for you!

But according to 16-time world champion Ric Flair, the athletes generating that wealth are still fighting without a safety net.

Driving the News: In a candid new interview on the Legally Goff Podcast, the “Nature Boy” pulled back the curtain on the harsh realities of the wrestling business. Flair highlighted the glaring absence of labor unions, guaranteed health benefits, and collective bargaining agreements—protections that are completely standard in every other major North American sport.

By the Numbers:

$20 Billion: The estimated current standalone value of WWE, according to TKO President Mark Shapiro in early 2026.

418: The number of times Flair wrestled in a single year during his prime—often working double-headers on Saturdays and Sundays.

17: The total number of days off Flair had over a grueling three-year stretch between 1983 and 1985.

7: The number of broken necks Flair cited occurring in the industry over just the last five years.

What They’re Saying: * On the Healthcare Gap: “They take care of you if you get hurt in the ring, but if you have an issue outside of the ring, you’ve got to buy your own health insurance,” Flair stated.

On Industry Unions: “There’s no union, which is unheard of for a billion-dollar company. I mean, they just sold the WWE for $9 billion [in 2023]… We’re self-employed.”

On the Physical Toll: Pushing back against critics who dismiss wrestling as “fake,” Flair said: “It’s choreographed but it’s real.” He noted his own agonizing experience cracking two vertebrae in his neck from a DDT.

Flashback: The Leverage Game Without collective bargaining, 20th-century wrestlers relied entirely on personal leverage. Flair recalled a notorious dispute with WCW executive Jim Herd over an unpaid $43,000 deposit. When Herd told Flair to get lost, Flair took the most dramatic exit possible: he walked out with the “Big Gold” World Championship belt and debuted it on Vince McMahon’s rival WWF television program.

It was an audacious power move that only a massive box-office draw like Flair could pull off. For the rest of the locker room, he noted, the independent contractor structure offered zero recourse.

The Bottom Line: While guaranteed contracts finally became a reality in the 1990s, the controversial “independent contractor” classification remains the standard for most wrestling talent today. Flair’s revelations serve as a stark reminder that behind the glitz, pyro, and massive corporate buyouts, the foundation of sports entertainment was built by workers operating on a perilous high-wire with no safety net below.

The Announcement: The decision was revealed by NXT General Manager Robert Stone during this week’s broadcast of WWE Evolve on Tubi.

The Context: Thatcher fills the leadership void left by Stevie Turner, who was released from the company in October 2025. Since returning to WWE in 2024, Thatcher has served as both a staple of the EVOLVE brand and a trainer for the WWE ID program.

BEHIND THE DECISION: In an era dominated by digital media and flashy presentations, Thatcher brings an unapologetically gritty, old-school mentality to the front office. NXT GM Robert Stone emphasized that Evolve requires “real authority” to continue churning out legitimate NXT superstars and shaping the industry’s future. Stone publicly thanked Shawn Michaels (HBK) for trusting him to make the call.

According to Stone, Thatcher is a “different breed” whose eccentric, no-nonsense lifestyle perfectly aligns with his new disciplinary role:

Old-School Greetings: Thatcher reportedly refused to give Stone a fist bump, insisting that a traditional handshake is the proper way to conduct business.

No Pads, No Problem: He famously refuses to wear knee pads, operating under the belief that wearing them is a sign of “weak knees.”

Off the Grid: The new Foreman shuns modern technology—he avoids social media entirely and does not own a television or even a mobile phone.

THE BIGGER PICTURE: Robert Stone noted that he recognized Thatcher’s unique potential dating back to their first meeting at Southside Wrestling in England in 2015. By placing a stark traditionalist at the helm of its developmental and affiliate programming, WWE is sending a clear message about the culture it expects from its rising prospects.

Driving the Conversation: Speaking with Stephanie McMahon on What’s Your Story?, the 26-year-old athlete opened up about the annual waves of online debate—often peaking during Black History Month—where internet fans question her Black and white background.

The Reality of the Scrutiny: Ruca highlighted several frustrating dynamics she regularly navigates as a mixed-race public figure:

The Demand for “Proof”: She revealed that some fans go as far as demanding photographic evidence of her father, only to then police his appearance and question whether he is “Black enough” to validate her identity.

Athletic Erasure: In the sports world, she noted a double-edged sword where her athletic achievements are sometimes unfairly attributed solely to her genetics and Black heritage, rather than her own hard work and dedication.

What They’re Saying:

On the skepticism: “It always baffles my mind every time people start finding out again… Why would I lie?”

On the mixed experience: “I’ve never claimed that I’m a black woman. I know I’m mixed, but I still think it should be accepted. A lot of mixed people have this identity crisis because it’s like, ‘Where do I fit?’ And people are gonna tell you that you’re not this, or you’re not that.”

Why It Matters: Ruca’s comments highlight the unique microaggressions mixed-race athletes frequently endure. Importantly, she made a point to carefully distinguish her experience—acknowledging that she does not claim the full lived realities of darker-skinned Black women—while still firmly advocating for the validity and acceptance of biracial identities.

The Bottom Line: Unfazed by the digital noise, Ruca remains secure in her sense of self. “I know who I am. I know who my dad is. I know who my mom is. And there’s nothing I can do about it.”

Miro has officially requested his release from AEW (All Elite Wrestling), marking an end to a very disappointing run following buzz-worthy signing back in September 2020 which came after his run with WWE as Rusev, according to Fightful Select.

Miro landed with AEW with hopes of being utilized much better than he had in WWE and while things seemed to be trending in the right direction, Miro’s sporadic appearances on television, inconsistent booking and storylines that saw him start as Kip Sabian’s “Best Man” and then adapt to “The Redeemer”.

Miro had a memorable run as TNT Champion which lasted for 140 days before dropping the belt to Sammy Guevara, and it appears that Miro was never able to recover from the loss.

Miro is on a lucrative seven-figure contract and has been sidelined due to injury, but is reportedly healthy.

It is unclear if Tony Khan will grant Miro’s request, but it seems like the best outcome for both parties.
