As we have all heard, there is non-stop talk about Healthcare in politics. But.....did you hear that President Obama referred to Geisinger Health System as an "island of excellence"? Geisinger Health System was a former SeeBeyond customer and remains a loyal customer to Sun. Learn more about what they have been doing to achieve their success!

Case study video from the Gartner MDM, November 08

Success Story

Podcast

More on what President Obama had to say:

"In describing what he wanted to do, the
president said that his plan
would be guided by a simple principle: Fix what’s broken and build on
what works. Later, he specifically mentioned 452-bed Cincinnati
Children’s Hospital Medical Center, 453-bed Tallahassee (Fla.) Memorial
HealthCare, Geisinger Health System, Danville, Pa., and Intermountain
Healthcare, Salt Lake City, as “islands of excellence” that have to be
replicated elsewhere."
http://www.modernphysician.com/article/20090622/REG/906199992

introduces a special savings offer for Oracle WebLogic customers to
reduce costs and eliminate vendor lock-in with Sun's SOA.Learn more about the limited time offer and how Oracle WebLogic customers can save with Sun SOA.

Sun Microsystems is a recognized leader in providing a comprehensive
SOA solution with open source core components. Java Composite
Application Platform Suite (Java CAPS) is the most unified SOA platform
based on open source and modular standards based "pluggability",
providing IT managers with more choices, flexibility, and no vendor
lock-in for evolving to a service-oriented architecture.

Compare how much you can potentially save with Sun's SOA platform vs. Oracle's WebLogic Suite.
Learn More.

Join Sun's Ross Altman at the ebizQ
roundtable discussion for an Open Source Market Update. This session will present an overview
of ebizQ research findings into the various ways that open source
software (OSS) enables both infrastructure and applications software.
Panelists include representatives of the two leading industry
consortia for those categories, the Linux Foundation for
infrastructure software and the Open Solutions Alliance for
applications. The panel will discuss opportunities, risks, and best
practices for adopting Open Source technology for both these needs in
your enterprise.

Featured Speakers:

Dominic Sartorio, President, Open Solutions Alliance

Ross Altman, CTO for SOA and Business Integration, SUN Microsystems

Jim Zemlin, Executive Direction, Linux Foundation

Dennis Byron, Analyst, ebizQ

What you will learn:

The types of applications and solutions where open source software has been most successfully implemented

How enterprise software users base the choice of an open source stack depending on what application/services/solution type (TP, BI, ECM, etc.) (and why)

The maturity of open source software in various industries

How involvement with the open source community can help your industry

Join Sun's David Codelli at the ebizQ roundtable discussion on MDM's
Role as a Critical Enabler for SOA and learn about the key issues and
identify best practices for using MDM to maximize the value of
enterprise information. As organizations move toward distributed and
federated SOA architectures, there is increased value on making
enterprise information readily available and increased pressure to
ensure its quality and integrity. Enterprise application integration
(EAI) offered proprietary mapping tools. Organizations are now looking
for more open and enterprise wide solutions.

What you will learn:

The types of practices and tools required to provide a unified and
consistent view of business entities common to the organization

Best practices for implementing processes and tools

How MDM can benefit other enterprise initiatives
