Hipnosis rahasia dapat digunakan untuk mengatur seseorang ke dalam keadaan hipnosis, atau kondisi kesadaran dimana mereka rentan terhadap saran-saran dari hipnotis. Rakyat terhipnotis dapat menerima gagasan, meskipun mereka masih sadar, dengan kata lain ia tidak tertidur.

Mengatasi kecanduan seperti merokok dan makan berlebihan adalah beberapa masalah yang dapat disembuhkan dengan hipnosis. Psikiater telah menggunakan berbagai teknik hipnosis untuk beberapa dekade. Salah satu yang paling terakhir dan dipelajari, adalah metode yang digunakan dalam percakapan hipnosis.

Dr Milton Erikson, seorang dokter terkenal psikiatri pengembang untuk teknik umum dari studi mentalitas human, memelopori konsep hipnosis rahasia. Dr Erickson awalnya menggunakan praktek hipnosis dimana hipnotis menggunakan metodologi langsung atau ketat, memanfaatkan rekomendasi dan petunjuk untuk mendapatkan seseorang dapat fokus dan berkonsentrasi pada apa yang hipnoterapis katakan.

Dalam bentuk yang lain hipnosis, hipnoterapi menginduksi keadaan hypnosis pada pasien dengan mengajak mereka untuk fokus pada saran yang diberikan oleh hipnotis. Karena sifat hipnosis di diri pasien bertentangan ini mungkin menjadi resisten dan saran menjadi kurang membantu.

Hipnosis rahasia, atau percakapan yang lebih bersahaja. Erikson menemukan bahwa pikiran bawah sadar tidak pernah dalam kondisi mati atau tertidur, sehingga dapat dimasukkan ke dalam kondisi terhipnotis relatif sederhana.

Erikson menguasai metode menempatkan orang ke dalam kondisi terhipnotis menggunakan kegiatan sehari-hari, dan berbagai metode verbal dan diam.

Dengan hanya berbicara kepada pasien, Erikson mampu menginduksi keadaan hypnosis pada pasien. Arahan yang ia lakukan adalah mengajukan banding ke bawah sadar pasien dan mengurangi tekanan dengan membuat pasien lebih terlibat dalam prosedur. Jika pasien ingin berhenti merokok, Erikson akan mengatakan sesuatu di sepanjang baris "Anda dapat berhenti merokok".

Dia menggunakan berbagai teknik tambahan untuk menginduksi trance pada pasien nya. Dia berpikir bahwa dengan membingungkan pikiran sadar pasien, mereka akan menggunakan bawah sadar mereka untuk memahami apa yang dibicarakan. Penggunaan bertele-tele pola kata dan kalimat adalah beberapa pendekatan Erikson memanfaatkan untuk mencapai keadaan kebingungan.

Erikson memanfaatkan prosedur untuk membangun ketidakpastian adalah metode gangguan jabat tangan. Karena mengganggu aliran reguler jabat tangan, pikiran pasien akan menutup dan mereka akan masuk ke dalam keadaan terhipnotis.

Dalam hal ini menyiratkan, bahwa dalam hipnosis, pasien mungkin sama sekali tidak menyadari bahwa mereka sedang terhipnotis. Ide bahwa masalah telah diperbaiki ditanamkan ke dalam pikiran bawah sadar pasien. Dan mereka tetap sadar dalam melakukan hal tersebut semakin yakin akan perubahan perilaku yang mereka sendiri lah pembuatnya.

Ayah: Percaya pada diri sendiri dan mengetahui bahwa Kamu pantas mendapatkan yang terbaik itu sangat penting.

Cukup dengan terus mendorong anak anda memiliki kepercayaan diri melalui penggunaan percakapan hipnosis, dan seiring waktu, harga dirinya mulai berkembang. Dia hari ini jauh lebih percaya diri dan juga dapatvmenyesuaikan diri dengan baik di sekolahnya, tidak ada yang tahu dia punya masalah di masa lalu.

Prinsip Kekuatan Otak

Otak manusia adalah suatu yang tampak mempesona dengan jutaan kumparan yang berkelip membentuk pola tertentu, suatu pola yang penuh arti dan tak kunjung diam, yang terdiri atas perubahan yang harmoni dari pola-pola yang lebih kecil. Itu seperti Galaksi Bimasakti memasuki suatu kosmik yang berdansa

Dalam diri seseorang sebenarnya telah dikaruniai oleh Tuhan sebuah jiwa, di mana dengan jiwa tersebut, tiap orang bebas memilih sikap. Bereaksi positif atau negatif, bereaksi benar atau salah, bereaksi berhenti atau melanjutkan, bereaksi marah sabar, bereaksi reaktif atau proaktif, bereaksi baik atau buruk. Andalah sebenarnya penanggung jawab penuh dari reaksi diri anda, sikap anda, dan keputusan anda.

Sebuah contoh yang lebih ringan lagi. Ini sebuah kisah fiksi dalam melodrama layar lebar yang bertutur dengan latar belakang perang dunai kedua. Sang anak ingin menghentikan permainan tersebut dan berkata: “Saya tidak mau melanjutkan permainan ini.” Benigni merasakan perasaan sang anak. Lalu dengan wajah sedih dan memelas Benigni berkata kepada sang anak: “Baiklah kita menyerah kalah, mari kita hentikan permainan ini,” sambil membereskan pakaian dan perlengkapan yang dimilikinya, yaitu selimut kumal, baju kotor dan sepatu buntutnya. Kemudian Benigni berjalan gontai ke arah pintu keluar kamar sambil berkata lirih kepada sang anak: “Kita kalah…, dan hadiah sebuah tank akan diambil oleh orang lain.” Sang anak menatap ayahnya dan tiba-tiba berseru: “Tidak ayah, saya ingin memenangkan permainan ini dan mendapatkan hadiah sebuah tank!

Pada suatu saat sang anak bertanya kepada sang ayah setelah mendengar berita dari temannya, gianluca dan Bartolomeo, bahwa penghuni di kamp kosentrasi ini akan dibakar hidup-hidup di dalam oven dan kemudian menjadi bahan pembuat kancing dan sabun! Benigni tercenung lalu menjawab dengan jenaka: “Masak sih temanmu si Gianluca dan Bartolomeo akan dijadikan bahan kancing dan sabun?” “Kalau begitu mari kita cuci tangan dengan sabun yang terbuat dari Gianluca.” Kemudian Benigni mencopot salah satu kancing bajunya dan menjatuhkannya ke lantai dingin dan kotor seraya berkata: “Lihat, si Bartolomeo jatuh.” Sang anak tertawa.

Suatu hari tiba-tiba pasukan Jerman melakukan pembunuhanmassal di kamp konsertrasi tersebut, setelah mengetahui bahwa pasukan sekutu akan menguasai kota Auscheitz. Benigni harus menyelamatkan anak dan istrinya. Maka mereka berdua melarikan diri dari kamar untuk mencari tempat persembunyian. Benigni menyembunyikan sang anak di dalam sebuah kotak kecil. Benigni berkata: “Nak, hari ini adalah puncak permainan. Kita hrus menang. Kamu harus bersembunyi di dalam kotak ini dan jangan sampai terlihat oleh siapa pun karena semua orang akan mencarimu, kamu harus mendapatkan hadiah tank.” Maka Benigni memasukkan sang anak ke dalam kotak tersebut. Lalu Benigni mencari ibu dari sang anak itu menyelematkannya pula. Sementara itu proses eksekusi atau pembantaian sedang berlangsung dengan keji. Pembunuhan massal dengan cara memasukkan para tawanan ke kamar gas dan kemudian membakar mayatnya. Abu mayat berterbangan di atas kota Auschwitz. Namun malang bagi Benigni, dia tertangkap oleh tentara Nazi. Dia digelandang oleh seorang tentara Nazi. Dan ketika mereka berjalan bertepatan melewati kotak kecil di mana sang anak bersembunyi, serta moncong senapan mengarah di belakang kepala beginin tersadar bahwa ia sedang diawasi anaknya, dan ia lansung berjalan dengan sikap tegak layaknya tentara yang sedang berparade sambil memberi hormat. Sang anak belummenyadari. Ia masih tetap bersembunyi, sesuai pesan sang ayah. Tiga jam kemudian, tiba-tiba terdengar suara menderu-deru. Sebuah tank Amerika lewat di depan tempat persembunyian sang anak. Sang anak langsung loncat keluar sambil menatap tank Amerika tersebut: “Inilah hadiahku, aku menang ayah…” tang tersebut berhenti, seorang tentara Amerika mengangkat anak tersebut dan mengikutsertakannya masuk ke dalam tank. Sang anak memanangkan permainan ini.

Ini adalah kisah dari sebuah film peraih piala Oscar yang berjudul “Life is Beautiful”. Kisah ini dekiranya bisa menggambarkan bagaimana dia mampu menentukan pilihan, sikap, dan reaksi atas kejadian yang menimpa anak dan dirinya. Kemampuan mengendalikan hati dan pikiran. Meskipun secara fisik ia terbelenggu, namun ia mampu berpikir merdeka. Itulah yang disebut kemerdekaan yang sesungguhnya. Berpusat pada prinsip. Tanpa memiliki prinsip yang kuat dan benar, maka rintangan dan cobaan tersebut niscaya akan menggilas dirinya, kamp konsentrasi Auschwitz hanya bisa membelenggu fisiknya, namun tak mampu membelenggu pikirannya.

Hal ini menjelaskan bahwa kita memiliki suatu kebebasan untuk memilih reaksi terhadap segala sesuatu yang terjadi atas diri kita. Andalah penanggungjawab utama atas sikap anda, bukan pada lingkungan anda. Di sanalah bersemayam kepedihan, atau kebahagiaan. Andalah sang penentu.

Lingkungan bisa berubah-ubah dalam hitungan detik tanpa bisa diduga. Namun prinsip adalah abadi. Prinsip tidak berubah. Di sanalah terletak pusat rasa aman yang hakiki. Rasa aman yang tercipta dari dalam, bukan di luar. Prinsip yang benar bukanlah sekedar sikap “proaktif” yang selama ini dikenal di barat, yaitu melihat dan berespon dengan cara yang “berbeda” tanpa prinisp dasar yang jelas. Prinsip dasar adalah suatu kesadaran fitrah (awarenes), berpegang kepada Pencipta yang abadi. Prinsip yang esa, Laa Illallah.

Kemampuan untuk “mengendalikan sukma” ketika suatu permasalahan terjadi atas diri kita (proaktif) adalah sangat sulit dilakukan tanpa adanya kekuatan prinsip yang bisa dipegang teguh. Kemampuan untuk mengendalikan suka (proaktif) melalui prinsip Allah Yang Esa saya namakan Kekuatan Prinsip. Inilah dasar penjernihan emosi kita, bukan proaktif seperti yang diajarkan oleh kalangan orang-orang barat yang masih meraba-raba itu.

Kekuatan Prinsip selanjutnya akan menentukan tindakan apa yang akan diambil, jalan yang fitrah atau jalan non-fitrah cenderung menyesatkan danmerugikan. Sedangkan jalan fitrah membimbing ke arah tindakan yang positif. Jalan fitrah adalah suatu tindakan yang dibimbing oleh suara hati. Suara hati berasal dari God-Spot. Ini sesuai dengan pendapat jalaludin Rumi, Danah Zohar, Ian Marshall, V.S. Ramachandran.

Caranya :
Tetesi dengan jeruk nipis dan berikan 3 lembar daun pandan wadah yang akan digunakan memasak nasi, beri air secukupnya. Masukkan beras, rebus hingga nasi benar - benar masak. Dengan cara seperti itu nasi menjadi pulen, wangi dan tidak cepat basi.

Tips yang kedua
Bahan :
1. Lima belas biji asam jawa
2. Segenggam ketan putih

Caranya :
Sangrai keduanya sampai berwarna kecoklatan, tumbuk hingga halus, gunakan untuk luluran pagi dan sore hari, jika anda rajin melakukannya kulit wajah anda akan tampak bersih dan halus.

Ada seorang dokter yang memberikan “resep” khusus kepada pasiennya sebagai salah satu alternatif untuk mempercepat kesembuhan pasien. Dan terbukti secara umum pasien yang mentaati “resep” ini lebih cepat sembuh dari pada pasien yang tidak mentaati “resep” yang di berikan dokter ini. Apa sih resep dokter tersebut? Resep rahasianya adalah dokter menyuruh pasien setiap jam mengatakan “saya sudah sembuh, saya sehat”. Aneh namun sederhana. Ternyata akar dari masalah tersebut adalah pikiran dari pasien. Dalam kasus ini dokter menanamkan kepercayaan kepada pasien bahwa dirinya sudah sembuh. Nah saat pasien percaya pada apa yang dikatakan dokter tersebut setiap sel dalam tubuhnya di program untuk melakukan apa yang dipikirkannya. Sungguh luar biasa !! Self Hypnosis - A Powerful Tool

Self Hypnosis is a process of autosuggestion, by which an individual trains the subconscious mind to believe something, or systematically organizes the person's own mental associations to achieve a given purpose. This is accomplished by presenting the mind with repetitive, constant, self-affirmative thoughts until those thoughts become internalized.

The acceptance of autosuggestion may be quickened through mental visualizations, verbal affirmations, thinking using one's internal voice of that which the individual would like to believe.

The purpose of deliberate autosuggestion are intended to change the way one believes, perceives or thinks, to change one's acts or to change the way one is composed physically or physiologically. A good example is if you are reading every night aloud a written statement describing how you would like to be and then repeating the statement in your mind until you fall asleep. Have that written statement worked out ahead of time, properly prepared and worded and memorized. It is not too difficult to remember them as they are rather short and it is you who composed them. If you have them ready and remembered, you can simply think your way through them at this point.

People have reported changes to such a nightly routine or such other methods of autosuggestion, for example, increased confidence, the conquering of life-long fears and improved mental faculties.

When you are doing monologue i.e. conversing with your self, you just talk to yourself about what it is you want to do, be or become. Don't say 'you.' You are talking to yourself, so use the first person personal pronoun 'I.' Some suggestions can be more clearly stated in a somewhat more formal sort of way, like, 'I am eating less and becoming more slender every day'

Relaxation is the first step before beginning autosuggestion. With a tensed mind and an aggressed body autosuggestion wouldn't work effectively. Once you have relaxed then comes the deepening the relaxed state without falling asleep. One simple method is the count-down technique where you simply start counting downward from, say, 20 or 100 or what suits you best. Imagine that you are drifting deeper into deep relaxed state with each count. Other images and thoughts will probably force themselves as you count, which is natural. But gently brush them aside, continuing with your counting.

Never end the session abruptly but rather think to yourself that you are going to be fully awake and alert after you count up to say, three.

I hope by now you realize that you are a BEING OF LIGHT. Learn to work from your heart and you will be a master at anything that you want. Learn this and you will be wealthy and joyful and fulfilled in your life. Learn this and you will always know what to do and who to trust, who to love, and how to proceed. What I'm talking about is working from your heart. There are two forces at work in your life: Fear, and Love. There are two places that give you messages, the mind and the heart, and sometimes they give you conflicting and opposing information. Your mind many times gives you wrong or distorted information. Your heart, on the other hand, is connected to the truth.

To access your heart takes patience, trust, silence, and calm. Your mind is a place of agitation and unrest. If you trust the mind, it will lie to you all the time, and you will be spun this way and that way and you will feel pressured, pained and guilty. If you learn to
trust that inward spirit in the heart, you will feel collected, peaceful, calm, joyful and incredibly loved, and you will know what to do in all situations.

To access your heart, first you have to stop responding to your mind. You have to shut her down. Just observe your thoughts and watch them all go by; do not engage or connect to any thought. Next, you must shut down any feeling of guilt or any impatient thought. Next you have to go to a private place and you have to get very quiet. Turn
off the radio, television, your phone, the beeper, pager, computer, etc. You have to remove yourself momentarily from your friends, and from the world as you know it. Do not let anyone intrude for the moment. Then sit very still and very quietly in a comfortable position, so that your back, legs or arms do not get tired. Close your eyes. Suspend yourself in the darkness and the silence that you have created. Began to breathe slowly and imagine that this breath is going right down into your heart. The breath is accompanied by an even bright light. As you breathe this breath, this light moves right along into your heart. With each breath you get more calm and quiet until you are very still and very calm. Then wait, and listen. Breathe in this light, wait and listen. This is the beginning of a heart meditation.

When you are very quiet, you will begin to feel a light presence filling your chest and coming into your mind. This is the Spirit of Light. Acknowledge her, and allow her to encompass the space. Just relax. This is not an evil spirit, or anything like that. This is the all knowing part of you. This is the part of you that is extremely ancient and has unlimited wisdom. And you are now accessing it.

Now you can begin to ask some questions. The Spirit of Light knows everything. There is nothing that this all- knowing part of you does not know. The question and answer period goes something like this: "Is this the right thing for me?" The answer will come in different ways. It might be an audible "yes or no". It might be a physical feeling, like a tightness in your chest, or in your stomach. That is an uncomfortable answer. Which means that something about what you are asking is making you physically uncomfortable. You could say that it is a "no" answer. These physical feelings are directly related to you and how you specifically receive information.

If you have met a person and you receive a physical feeling of a clamping of your chest or stomach, or the feeling of nausea, do not ignore this strong physical feeling. This is warning for you about this particular person. If you receive this same feeling every single time that you encounter this person, this is a clear indication that this is not a person that you should spend time with, or one that you should give any energy at all to. Most definitely you would do well to avoid contact with this person. The same thing is true if you feel this clamping of the chest or stomach when in contact with a certain group. If, upon the very first encounter with this person or group, you feel this, know that something is very wrong. Prior to getting into any relationship with this person or this group, check in with your spirit. It has already put out a warning about it. Trust that.

Patients are increasingly being advised to meditate for sometime in the day, which is believed to have a positive effect along with the allopathic medicines prescribed for a number of medical conditions.

What is meditation?
Meditation is a technique that helps us focus and calms the mind resulting in relaxed and restful state of physical and mental being. Meditation is generally focused on one constant thing, usually your breath. Meditation is an effective tool to gain mind control, self-awareness and understanding that eventually lead to inner calm and peacefulness. For people practice meditation, it can lead to profound experiences of self-realization and transcendental awareness and knowledge. A proven alternative therapy, meditation is a known stress reliever.

1. Concentrative Meditation
The approach to still the mind is to focus the attention on the breath, image or sound (mantra). This gives way to greater awareness and clarity. In its most basic form concentrative meditation requires you to sit quietly and focus your attention on your breath. Practitioners of yoga and meditation believe that there is a direct correlation between one's state of mind and one's breath. For e.g. when a person is anxious, frightened, agitated or distracted, the breath will tend to be shallow, rapid and irregular. On the other hand, when the mind is calm, focused and composed, the breath tends to be slow, deep and regular.

2. Mindfulness Meditation
In this type of meditation, the mind is aware of all that is happening around you. You just observe the sounds, feelings, sensations, images, thoughts, smells etc without getting involved in them or thing about them. The person is just like a spectator who is witnessing everything but one who does not react or get involved with thoughts, memories, feelings, worries or images. Most people have heard of using a mantra to meditate. Here the person repeats a special word over and over. Repetition of the word provides the focus needed for meditation. give than to receive." But do you actually know what hidden

I firmly believe that whatever you impart to others will
come back to you a hundred fold. You are doing yourself a
big favor by helping someone in need. By doing even the
smallest acts of generosity, you are inviting good vibrations
to come into your life.

You would be earning the respect and love of your recipients.
You know that you will always have a loyal group of friends
who would help, protect, and do anything for you just because
they feel that they have to repay you in any way they can.
Most people would have the urge or drive to reciprocate any
act of kindness you've shown them.

However, this does not mean that you must expect them to repay
you. Give without any expectation of rewards. Don't do it
just because you have an ulterior motive. Give unconditionally.
Give because you are happy doing it. The universe will get
back to you in its own special way.

Speaking of happiness, the act of giving can summon the spirit
of joy to come into your heart. How would you feel when you've
given something to your less fortunate neighbors? Let me tell
you that nothing could brighten up my day more than hearing them
express their most heartfelt gratitude and seeing their smiles
extend from ear to ear.

Giving is also a healthy habit. It could prolong your life by
instilling within you an inner sense of peace and accomplishment.

Just like all things in life, giving has its limitations.
Being too generous can have its toll. Your kindness might be
taken advantage of and people might abuse your good intentions.
Beware of individuals who are continuously seeking your aid.
It's better to teach them how to solve their problems than to
always attend to their needs.

As one saying goes ...

"Give them some fish and you'll feed them for a day. Teach them
how to fish and you'll feed them for a lifetime."

Lastly, here's what I consider the most important rule about
giving. Keep your good deeds to yourself. Don't announce to the
whole world that you've donated $100,000 to your favorite charity
or that you've helped save a child from a life-threatening
disease.

If you really desire to give, do it secretly and in private.
Some people would write "anonymous" rather than their own names
when they've made a contribution. The universe smiles upon
these individuals, and they will get their just rewards in due
time.

Can You Really Let Go Of Your Huge Internal Struggle?

When I was in graduate school for psychology, we had a fellow student by the name of Allan who was running a successful clinical practice and had joined our program to improve his credentials. He had a remarkable track record of successful case histories.

One day, in a casual conversation during a classroom break, Cindy, a student, asked him what the single biggest reason people did not improve after counseling.

What he said made the three of us in this little huddle near the coffee machine pay attention.

"The single reason people do not change their lives for the better is not because they don't know what to do or how to do it to change, "said Allan, speaking slowly, thoughtfully. "Clients reach a point when they have all the information that they need to change in an instant. However, they don't change because they think they're feelings about the situation their dealing with is true."

"What do you mean?" asked Richard, who was listening in. "Aren't we in the business of teaching people how to express feelings? When you face your feelings, you begin the process of healing states of low self-esteem."

"Real life is more complex than what we learn here in school," said Allan. "Yes, repressing feelings and articulating them and raising self-esteem do effect positive change, but sometimes the feelings themselves are the problem."

"I'm not following you," confessed Richard, frowning.

"People often respond to their feelings, not their thoughts about the situation that is upsetting them. They never question these feelings. They assume their feelings are making an accurate statement about reality."

"You mean they mis-feel," I interjected, suddenly grasping his subtle point.

Allan smiled. "Yes, exactly. Just as you can mis-think something, or mis-perceive something, and later on, given more information, realize that you had jumped to the wrong conclusion or had fallen under some kind of optical illusion, like a mirage, for example, you can similarly mis-feel."

"So," said Cindy, "while people are open to correct their cognition about something, they don't even think to question their feelings about something."

"And," reflected Richard, "They are so completely locked into a huge internal struggle that goes on day after day, year after year, that they never doubt that what they feel is how things really are. Thus, their problem, whatever it is, becomes chronic."

Allan nodded. "Feelings are reactions to events. They are not necessarily true statements about events. They are interpretations. These feelings, over time, become hard-wired chemically into the nervous system so that a person can't look beyond them. It doesn't matter what you say to them, they are only listening to their feelings."

"How do they make the shift, then, to a more adaptable way of coping with their problems?" I asked.

"First," said Allan, "they have to become aware of what they're feeling. The feelings are so quick and so spontaneous that they are taken for granted and not even noticed. Someone in anger, for example, is fully aware of what irritates him, but may not even be aware that his feelings of anger are causing him to see something as irritating. He does not notice his anger-although, of course, it is obvious to everyone else. He is focused on the problem and not the sensations that arise within him to make him believe that he is confronting a problem."

"When you are able to watch your feelings, you begin to let go of your huge internal struggle," said Richard, fully in tune with Allan by this time. "You are able to transcend the emotion and see it for what it is-feelings that are controlling how you think."

"And when you grasp how your feelings are selecting your thoughts, you are able to choose new ways of interpreting your troubling experience," concluded Allan.

For thousands of years, physical disciplines like yoga, Tai Chi and Sufi Dancing have been said to increase mental and spiritual powers. If this is true, how might one explain this, and even better, how can we use this fact, practically, to enhance our lives as artists, business people, parents, and partners?

First, we have to strip away the mysticism from the activity. Not that these activities have no esoteric aspect, but rather that we have to approach them on the most down-to-earth level. The higher the tree, the deeper the roots. The taller the building, the deeper the foundations. If you want to soar, be certain that your tether is strong. So we need to start with a simple, physiological explanation (if possible!) and then suggest a way that this ties in to advanced artistic accomplishment, relationship skills, intellectual clarity, and spiritual growth.

My own enlightenment in this regard came from studying the work of Coach Scott Sonnon, the first American martial artist to train in the former Soviet Union. While there, this brilliant man met Russian sports and performance scientists who had been studying indigenous health system in the Ural Mountains for a century. There, they found movement and wellness concepts equivalent to anything in China or India. They shared many of these concepts with Sonnon, and invited him to share them in turn with Americans. Over the years, Coach Sonnon has created hundreds of books, videos and essays on his interpretations of this core knowledge.

Perhaps the single most important in terms of Body-Mind is what he calls the "Flow State Performance Spiral." In order to relate this breakthrough thinking in such a short essay, we'll have to condense considerably:

1) All physical technique is composed of three aspects: breathing, movement, and structure.

2) Each of these aspects is controlled by the other two (breath is created by movement and structure, etc.)

3) Stress "dis-integrates" this structure. In other words, when you are under stress, the physiological signs will manifest in your breathing rate or shallowness, your posture, your muscle tension. This is why lie detectors work!

Before he died, Hans Selye, the creator of the "stress" concept, said that he had misspoken himself, that it is not stress that hurts us, it is strain. Stress is the pressure we are under. But strain is the degree to which that stress warps us out of true.

Stress is not the enemy. In fact, when handled healthfully, it is the primary trigger for growth. So the key is to avoid strain.

Let's skip around a bit to a truth about artistic and intellectual pursuits: your ability to utilize your intelligence, education, skills or talents will be in direct proportion to your ability to maintain "flow" under stress. Or to put it another way, in life, we are rewarded for how much stress we can handle without folding. Writer's block, for instance, is nothing but a poor reaction to performance stress.

Combining these ideas, what we have is that mental and emotional balance under stress leads to excellence. Combine this with the fact that learning to cope with physical stress develops skills that are tremendously applicable to the mental arena. The most vulnerable portion of the "Flow State" triad (breath, movement, structure) is breathing. Proper breathing will be degraded by stress before you can detect it in posture or muscle tension. This is one of the reasons breath control is addressed in most religions and spiritual disciplines, whether this is through pranayama (yoga), exercise, hymns, ritual prayers, dance, or sacred postures.

A good yoga teacher, for instance, will place the student in a posture sufficiently extreme to force total concentration. When the student learns to relax and focus, that posture becomes relatively easy, and a more extreme posture is given. The point is to teach the student to monitor their own internal process. Fine martial arts or breathing meditation teachers use similar techniques.

The student learns to recognize the early signs of strain, and to dissipate them. NOTHING in life creates more stress than lack of oxygen, and learning to remain calm in the midst of oxygen debt will teach you to remain calm when the children are screaming, when your boss is on the rampage, when someone cuts you off on the freeway.

Or when you have a writing deadline, or when insecurity and fear hammers at the door of your resolve.

Deliberately practicing a physical discipline to enhance this quality of calmness and centeredness, while simultaneously working toward goals balanced in body, mind, and spirit, exposes you to the currents of life while helping you develop the skills and strategies necessary to excel. This, over time, leads to excellence, even in a purely mental arena.

There are numerous disciplines that will teach proper breathing under stress, and this article has listed a few. If you wish to reach your maximum potential as a mental, spiritual, and emotional being, seek one of these techniques out, and integrate it into your life. It is one of the best investments you could ever make in your future.

Tips kali ini pernah saya baca di suatu majalah tapi maaf lupa kapan terbitnya dan juga nama majalahnya, oke langsung saja dalam suatu keluarga saling menghargai satu sama lain itu merupakan hal yang luar biasa jika dapat dilakukan oleh sebuah keluarga apalagi pengantin baru.
Nah tips ini berguna bagi kaum calon ibu rumah tangga yang ingin selalu mendapat penghargaan dari suaminya. Ada sekitar 8 hal yang harus diperhatikan oleh seorang istri agar selalu dihargai suami :

~~1. Hargai dulu suami~~
Hargailah suami anda lebih dulu bila ingin dihargai. Bentuk penghargaan seorang istri pada suami bermacam-macam, misalnya mensyukuri jerih payah suami seberapapun hasilnya, menghargai pendapatnya dan lainnya. Kalaupun istri tidak puas dengan apa yang didapatkan suami, sampaikan dengan tutur kata yang baik sehingga tidak menyakitkan sang suami.

Beri perhatian pada suami seperlunya. Memberi perhatian sebetulnya mudah, istri tak harus repot ini dan itu menyediakan secangkir teh atau kopi di pagi hari sudah merupakan sebuah perhatian. Lebih - lebih bila istri bisa menyiapkan berbagai kebutuhan suami, tentu ia sangat senang. Umumnya suami bangga bila diperhatikan istrinya.

Istri yang baik selalu bersikap sopan terhadap suami. Tidak sepantasnya istri mengeluarkan kata tidak enak disertai dengan nada emosional pada suami. apalagi bila istri juga mau bersikap sopan terhadap teman kerja suami,ini merupakan suatu kebanggaan tersendiri yang akan dimiliki suami.

~~4. Cerewet~~

Suami umumnya paling malas bila mendengar kecerewetan istri, untuk itu bagi istri hindarilah untuk mencereweti suami anda, sampaikan suatu hal permasalahan satu atau dua kali saja dengan sopan suami pasti akan memahaminya.

~~5. Tidak menyalahgunakan kepercayaan~~

Sebuah kepercayaan mahal harganya, jangan sekali - kali menyalahgunakan kepercayaan yang diberikan suami. Sekali istri menyalahgunakan kepercayaan, selamanya mungkin suami tidak mempercayai lagi.
~~6. Mandiri~~
Berusahalah mandiri, tidak melulu tergantung pada suami. Jika istri mandiri tentu saja suami merasa tidak terbebani. Sekali tempo boleh lah istri minta bantuan pada suami, itup[un setelah istri berusaha dan benar - benar mengalami kesulitan.
~~7. Terbuka~~
Keterbukaan adalah suatu keharusan dalam setiap keluarga, karena itu terbukalah pada suami anda. Sampaikan keluh kesah anda jangan pernah menutupi apa yang menjadi keresahan hati anda terhadap suami.
~~8. Bantu kesulitan suami~~
Bila suami tengah menghadapi suatu kesulitan, jangan acuh tak acuh atau pura - pura tidak tahu, mencobalah membantu mencarikan jalan keluar, walau itu mungkin sebuah ide saja, ini sangat berpengaruh yang baik terhadap semangat suami.
~~9. Berdoalah~~
Doakanlah suami anda saat dia berpergian keluar rumah, ciumlah tangannya dan sampaikanlah bahwa anda selalu menyayangi suami anda.
