Prayer for Help With Finances

Dear God,

I surrender my financial affairs and concerns about money to your Divine care and love.

I ask that you remove my worries, anxieties, and fears about money, and replace them with faith.

I know and trust that my debts will be paid and money will flow into my life.

I have only to look to nature to see proof of the abundance you provide.

I release all negative thoughts about money and know that prosperity is my true state.

I commit to being grateful for all that I now have in my life.

I learn to manage my finances wisely, seeking help where needed.

Padre Pio was an Italian priest who was known for his piety and charity, as well as the gift of the stigmata, which has never been explained.

St. Padre Pio was born Francesco Forgione, on May 25, 1887, in Pietrelcina, Italy. His parents were peasant farmers. He had an older brother and three younger sisters, as well as two other siblings who died in infancy. As a child, he was very religious and by the age of five, he reportedly made the decision to dedicate his life to God.

Fortunately, his parents were also very religious and they supported his Catholic development. His family attended daily Mass. Francisco served as an altar boy at his local parish. Francisco was known for taking on penances and his mother once scolded him for sleeping on a stone floor.

Francisco's community was also supportive. Saint's days were popular celebrations and commonly celebrated in his town.

From his tender age, Francisco had a peculiar ability. He could see guardian angels, spoke with Jesus and the Virgin Mary. This was not something taught to him but occurred so naturally that he assumed other people could see them too.

Although Francisco and his family were very religious, they were also very poor, which required that he work. He spent many years as a child tending to a small flock of sheep owned by his family. Unfortunately, the work meant he was unable to attend school regularly, so he quickly fell behind other kids his age.

Francisco was sickly as a child. He suffered an attack of gastroenteritis at age six and when he was ten, he had typhoid fever.

In 1897, after three years of schooling, Francisco expressed to his parents that he wanted to become a friar. His parents traveled to a nearby community of monks and asked if Francesco could join them. He was evaluated, despite his young age, and was told that he needed more education before he could join.

To prepare Francesco, his parents decided to hire a private tutor. To pay the cost of the tutor, Francesco's father traveled to America to find work and sent the money home.

At the age of 15, Francisco was finally ready and he entered the novitiate of the Capuchin friars at Morcone. He took the name of "Pio" in honor of Pope Pius I, whose relic he often saw at his local chapel.

At the age of 17, Brother Pio became extremely ill and could only digest milk and cheese. He was sent to the mountain for better air, and when this did not work, he was sent home to his family. Amid all this, he continued to study for the priesthood.

On one occasion during prayer, a fellow monk astonishingly reported he saw Pio levitate during an episode of ecstasy.

Brother Pio became a priest in 1910 but was permitted to remain at home because of his poor health.

In 1915, with World War I afflicting the world, Padre Pio was summoned for military service. He was compelled to leave a tiny community of monks, with whom he was then housed, and drafted into medical service. However, he was so sickly that he was often sent home, only to then be recalled for service. In March 1916, he was finally dismissed because of his poor health.

On September 20, Padre Pio was hearing confessions when he felt pain in his hands and feet. He noticed the stigmata, the wounds of Christ, appearing on his hands and feet. The experience was painful. Bleeding occurred. The wounds smelled of roses, and although they continued to weep, they never became infected. Doctors who later examined the stigmata were amazed at their perfectly round shape.

By 1919, word began to spread about Padre Pio's stigmata and people came from far away to examine him.

Padre Pio became popular with the people he encountered and soon began to attribute supernatural occurrences to him. For example, he was said to levitate, and able to perform miracles.

His popularity became a source of concern for the Church and the Vatican began to restrict his activities to minimize public interaction. Padre Pio himself was uncomfortable with his newfound popularity and the attention he received because of his stigmata. A Church investigation into his stigmata concluded that his condition was not faked.

By 1934, the Vatican began to change its attitude towards Padre Pio and he was again allowed to perform public duties. He could preach, despite never being officially licensed by the Church to do so. Pope Pius XI encouraged people to visit him.

In 1947, Fr. Karol Wojtyla visited Padre Pio who prophetically told him he would rise to the highest post in the Church." Fr. Karol Wojtyla became Pope John Paul II in 1978.

Padre Pio used his newfound popularity to open a hospital in San Giovanni Rotondo. The facility opened in 1956.

Pope Paul VI reviewed the controversies surrounding Padre Pio and dismissed any concerns over his conduct and the authenticity of his stigmata.

Padre Pio became internationally famous. He was known for his piety, charity, and the quality of his preaching. He famously advised, "Pray, hope, and don't worry."

He had other illnesses, as well, including cancer which was miraculously healed after just two treatments. Other problems, such as arthritis, which plagued him in his later years, never went away.

Padre Pio died on September 23, 1968. His funeral was attended by over 100,000 people.

Pope John Paul II recognized Padre Pio as a saint on June 16, 2002. His feast day is September 23. He is the patron of civil defense volunteers, adolescents, and the village of Pietrelcina.

What does the Bible say about Christian saints? What are saints?

Saint originates from the Greek word meaning "holy" or "set apart." For example, in Acts 9:13, Simon says, "Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to your saints [set-apart people] at Jerusalem." Here, saints refer to all the Christians at Jerusalem, not to a special group of Christians.

The New Testament uses the word saint or saints 67 times. In every instance, the reference is to all believers (e.g., Acts 26:10; Romans 1:7; 1 Corinthians 1:2). Never is the word used of a special group of believers who serve God better than others. Scripture is clear that all Christians are saints.

This biblical view is much different from the traditional Roman Catholic view of saints. In Catholic theology, saints are a special class of believers who have been canonized. Canonization is the process by which the Catholic Church confers sainthood upon a person based on that person's special needs. It is an honor bestowed posthumously. In contrast, the Bible views every Christian as a saint, as someone set apart for God's work. Ephesians 4:12 teaches that spiritual gifts are given "to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ." Clearly, the "saints" are ordinary Christians involved in service in the church.

Christians are called saints because they are called to live set apart from the corruption of the world. Followers of Christ are called to be holy (1 Corinthians 1:2; 1 Peter 1:15-16).

Another interesting observation regarding the biblical view of saints is that they are almost exclusively referred to in plural form—"saints." Even the one exception, found in Philippians 4:21, has more than one believer in mind: "Greet every saint in Christ Jesus." The church is a team.

7 Signs the Angels Are Guiding You

An angel is a spiritual being who serves as a messenger of God. Angels deliver messages of wisdom, inspiration, and support to each of us at different times in our lives. Often angels communicate by sending signs to guide and encourage us along our paths. These signs may or may not be recognizable to us at the time. Angelic messages are perfectly timed coming to us at just the right moment. The messages can be hints, nudges, provide specific answers, messages of support, and encouragement, or warnings. The messages are sometimes repetitive and delivered over a period of time. Signs of angelic guidance appear out of the ordinary often with a unique personal meaning. The key to receiving angelic guidance is to notice the signs that are being sent to us so that we can interpret the meaning of each sign for ourselves and apply the angelic guidance to our lives.

There are many different ways that angels may communicate with each of us including visions, dreams, hearing a voice, and through signs. Receiving angelic guidance through signs that have a symbolic significance to the receiver is the most common form of angelic communication. The following are 7 of the most common signs of angelic guidance and what they mean.

White Feather

The white feather is the sign most commonly associated with angelic guidance. While feathers of all colors and sizes can be a sign, white feathers are especially considered to be a sign of angelic guidance. White feathers that appear in your path or that appear in an unusual place that you would not expect are likely a sign. White feathers found on the ground as you are walking can be a sign that you are on the right path, literally and or symbolically. White feathers are symbols of encouragement and reassurance. Feathers can be a reminder to keep going and not give up. A white feather also can be interpreted as a comforting reminder that your angels are watching over you and that you are divinely protected. In some cultures, white feathers are believed to be signs of hope, faith, and a strong connection between the physical and spiritual realm. Often a feather will be found immediately after a prayer or request for help from the angels. In these cases, you may have a sense right away of what the unique meaning of this sign is for you.

Goosebumps

Goosebumps or chills can be confirmed that what you are thinking or feeling is accurate and true. The feeling of a chill or surge of energy running up or down your spine can also be an angelic call to attention. Pay attention to what comes next, to what is going on around you at this moment. This is the angels’ way of saying, “This is important! Focus!” Goosebumps may indicate that you are on the right track or that your intuition about a topic is correct. Goosebumps or chills can also be an indication that your angels are near and are watching over you.

Numbers

Numbers when seen repeatedly over a period of time, whether it be a singular number or number series, often are conveying a significant angelic message. If you experience seeing a specific number or series everywhere you look for example on the clock, the parking meter, on your receipt from the coffee shop, on a license plate, etc. this is likely a sign. In general repetitive numbers mean something divinely guided is occurring in your life now. Numbers frequently seen repeated are 1 meaning divine timing, pay attention, and that things are evolving exactly as they should so relax and have faith, 4 meaning your angels are surrounding you now, and 5 indicating a change or transition is happening. Numerology can assist you in determining the exact meaning of specific numbers and number patterns.

Butterflies and Dragonflies

In Victorian times butterflies were believed to be signs of good fortune and blessings. Having a butterfly cross your path in an unexpected way or in an unusual place can be a sign that love and abundance are flowing your way. Butterflies are a sign of good luck and prosperity. Butterflies appearing unusually in your path can also be an affirmative response to a question or thought you have been thinking.

Dragonflies are often a message to become an active co-creator of your destiny, to focus on the outcome you desire in order to attract that desire to you. Dragonflies remind us to pay attention to what we are thinking so as not to be attracting the wrong things into our lives with thoughts opposite from our desires. Dragonflies can also be signs of coming change and encouragement to continue on your path of transformation.

Coins

Finding a coin in your path can be a message of reassurance from your angels that you are loved and valued. Coins are a sign of support. Most commonly pennies and dimes are considered to be angelic signs. Coins may also be communicating the message that you are not alone and to give your worries to God. Your angels may be trying to reassure you that you are supported financially, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. If you find an unusual coin in your path notice any unique markings or messages written on it, its denomination, and the metal it is molded from in order to translate any specific message for you.

Rainbows

Rainbows have been interpreted as a sign of love, support, and protection since biblical times. A rainbow is a sign that whatever it is that has been concerning you, it is being taken care of and is working itself out. Rainbows can also be a sign of hope and encouragement, that whatever challenge you are facing you will make it through the storm and come out shining on the other side. It is an angelic message to hang in there, to have faith, and to keep going. Rainbows can also be a message from your angels to believe in yourself, that you are stronger and more powerful than you think you are.

Direct Message

Examples of direct messages include a sign on a billboard, a book falling open to a relevant passage, a verse in a song, a street sign, any literal sign that appears to you where the phrase or message holds a special meaning to you and directly addresses the specific question or thought you have been asking for guidance on. Pay close attention to your surroundings and you will notice direct messages appearing to you more and more often. These signs of angelic guidance are not only reassuring that your angels are looking over you but also provide the very specific and detailed guidance needed to choose a direction or make a difficult decision with confidence and assuredness.

Accepting Angelic Guidance

Angels are always near you and want to help you through life however you have the free will to accept or reject their assistance. Angels will not intervene without your permission except in instances of preventing physical harm. Ask your angels for a sign or message to help guide you along your path or as guidance in making a specific decision. When you receive a sign, notice it, listen, and express gratitude for the message. What do angels look like? Why were they created? And what do angels do? Humans have always held a fascination for angels and angelic beings. For centuries artists have tried to capture images of angels on canvas.

What Does the Bible Say About Angels?

"And I saw another angel flying through the sky, carrying the eternal Good News to proclaim to the people who belong to this world—to every nation, tribe, language, and people." (Revelation 14:6, NLT)

It may surprise you to know that the Bible describes angels nothing at all like they are typically depicted in paintings. (You know, those cute little chubby babies with wings?) A passage in Ezekiel 1:1-28 gives a brilliant description of angels as four-winged creatures. In Ezekiel 10:20, we are told these angels are called cherubim.

Most angels in the Bible have the appearance and form of a man. Many of them have wings, but not all. Some are larger than life. Others have multiple faces that appear like a man from one angle, and a lion, ox, or eagle from another angle. Some angels are bright, shining, and fiery, while others look like ordinary humans. Some angels are invisible, yet their presence is felt, and their voice is heard.

Angels are mentioned 273 times in the Bible. Although we won't look at every instance, this study will offer a comprehensive look at what the Bible says about these fascinating creatures.

1 - Angels were created by God.

In the second chapter of the Bible, we are told that God created the heavens and the earth, and everything in them. The Bible indicates that angels were created at the same time the earth was formed, even before human life was created.

13 - Angels are not omnipresent, omnipotent, or omniscient.

Angels have certain limitations. They are not all-knowing, all-powerful, and everywhere present.

Then he continued, "Do not be afraid, Daniel. 15 - Most angels remained faithful to God.

While some angels rebelled against God, the vast majority stayed faithful to him.

Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. 16 - Three angels have names in the Bible.

Only three angels are mentioned by name in the canonical books of the Bible: Gabriel, Michael, and the fallen angel Lucifer, or Satan.

17 - Only one angel in the Bible is called an Archangel.

Jesus's healing is for today just as much as it was when he walked the earth and performed miracles of healing the sick and disabled. The Bible tells us that "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds, we are healed." ~ Isaiah 53:5. Jesus can still heal today!

Feast of the Birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary

We all love to celebrate birthdays. Today is the birthday celebration of our dear mother. In December we honor her Immaculate Conception. In January we celebrate her as the Mother of God. In August we celebrate her Assumption into Heaven and there are many other days throughout the year where we honor a unique aspect of her life. But today is simply her birthday celebration!

Celebrating her birthday is a way of celebrating her personhood. We celebrate her simply for being herself. We do not necessarily focus in on any of the unique, beautiful and profound aspects of her life today. We do not necessarily look at all she accomplished, her perfect yes to God, her coronation in Heaven, her assumption or any other specifics. All parts of her life are glorious, beautiful, awe-inspiring and worthy of their own unique feasts and celebration.

Today, however, we simply celebrate our Blessed Mother because she was created and brought into this world by God and that alone is worth celebrating. We honor her simply because we love her and we celebrate her birthday as we would celebrate the birthday of anyone we love and care for.

Reflect, today, upon the fact that Mother Mary is your mother. She truly is your mother and it’s worth celebrating her birthday in the same way that you would celebrate anyone’s birthday who was a member of your family. Your honoring of Mary, today, is a way of solidifying your bond with her and assuring her that you desire her to be an important part of your life.

Happy birthday, Blessed Mother! We love you dearly!

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. How does Prayer Life? Hurprayerr life?
It’s a simple question, but it can be tough to answer. Literally, it sounds like, “How has your talking to God been lately?” Emotionally it might feel like, “Sum up your relationship with God at this point in your life.” Bible reading, by comparison, is clearer and more “objective.” How many pages? How far along in your plan? Which books have you been reading? What have you learned? Prayer doesn’t fit into an Excel sheet quite as easily.
God means for your life — married or unmarried, student or employee, young or old — to run on the power of prayer. Prayer fuels the engine of your heart and mind. It’s not coffee, or Chipotle, or social media buzz; it’s prayer. You need God in and through prayer more than you need anything else. We will not do anything of any real and lasting value without God, which means we will not do anything of any real and lasting value without prayer.
And yet you probably feel as insecure about your prayer life as you feel about anything. Prayer might be, at the same time, the most pivotal and most puzzling activity in the Christian life. It is the lifeline and life-mystery for believers. We know we need to pray, but we know we don’t pray enough. And we’re not always sure we’re even doing it right when we do pray. Should I even be asking God for this? Should I still be asking God for this? Do I even know what I need?
Conscious, Personal Communion
The Bible refuses to give us one small, simple picture or pattern for prayer. Jesus never intended for his model prayer (what we call “the Lord’s Prayer”) to be our only guide or counsel for prayer. It is a great place to start, but God’s word gives us so much more material for our prayer lives.
Prayer is objectively real — a real God, real communication, real work, real answers. But it also comes in a million shapes and forms. Prayer happens in seconds — short moments in the cracks of our day — and it can happen for hours at a time, even throughout a whole night.
Prayer is conscious, personal communication with the God of the universe. A better question than “How’s your prayer life?” might be, “Have you been enjoying conscious communication with God — over his word, in your daily needs, throughout your day?” Has your relationship with him been real — not a box to check, not just a hurried place for help, not a vague abstract idea hovering over your head and life? Has your faith been tying you to him in your heart? Have you been leaning on him, and not yourself?

So how is your prayer life? If you (like me) are not happy or content with your answer, here are seven ways to grow in your time alone with our God.

1. Pick a time and place.

You can pray anytime and anywhere. Jesus met a woman beside a well who thought we all had to go to a particular place to pray and worship, as God’s people had prayed in the Old Testament (John 4:20). But Jesus says to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. . . . The hour is coming and is nowhere when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth” (John 4:21–23). No longer in a place, but in the Spirit (Ephesians 6:18).

The freedom to pray anywhere, though, often leads to praying nowhere. We should absolutely pray spontaneously whenever and wherever prayers arise in our hearts — during a break at work, before a test, in line with our groceries. But our lives are fueled by prayer, so we shouldn’t leave it up to spontaneity (we wouldn’t do that with fuel for our cars). Pick a consistent time and place when you can be alone. It might be in the morning at home, or during a long commute, or over your lunch break, or at a convenient time in the evening. The times and places can be different for different people — one of the stunning blessings Jesus bought — but it should still be consistent for you. And Jesus is clear that it should be consistently alone (Matthew 6:6) — not exclusively, but consistently.

2. Listen before you speak.

For some people, setting aside time to be alone with God is intimidating. In fact, for many today, any time alone at all — no friends, no television, no phones — is unnerving. We are speaking to almighty God here. He already knows everything we need and everything we are going to say. So what can we even say?

One important thing to learn early on about prayer is that it truly is a conversation. Just as God really does speak to us in his word, he is also really listening when we pray. It may just feel like journaling out loud at times, but there is always someone on the other side of prayer. Jesus promises, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened” (Matthew 7:7–8). A real Giver, a real Guide, a real Host.

On any given day, God may choose to move or “speak” in some unexpected way through his Spirit — bringing something to our mind, altering some circumstance, saying something through a friend. But God has told us how he speaks, the only truly trustworthy way we hear his voice. “All Scripture is breathed out by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Read something from the Bible (even just a verse) before you pray. Those words from God are “living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12).

John Piper writes,

Oh, how precious is the Bible. It is the very word of God. In it, God speaks in the twenty-first century. This is the very voice of God. By this voice, he speaks with absolute truth and personal force. By this voice, he reveals his all-surpassing beauty. By this voice, he reveals the deepest secrets of our hearts. No voice anywhere anytime can reach as deep or lift as high or carry as far as the voice of God that we hear in the Bible. (“The Morning I Heard the Voice of God”)

When you sit down to pray, let God speak first. Let him have the first word. Put his living and active words into your ears, and let them shape and inspire what you say back to him. If you learn something new about him and his ways, tell him. If the verses raise questions, ask him. Eventually, you can move on to today’s burdens but begin by worshiping him over and through his word. Enjoy the relationship. With reverence and awe, be a son or a daughter, and listen well.

3. Prioritize the spiritual over the circumstantial.

Often when people ask how they can pray for me, I immediately try to assess if I have any unusual needs right now (like this minute). If I don’t, I start to think about people close to me that do. “Pray for my co-worker whose dad passed away last week.” Or, “Pray for my grandmother who’s back in the hospital, again.” It’s not wrong by any means (we should be praying for these things, and asking others to pray, too). But if we take that mentality into prayer, we may only ever pray for physical or circumstantial needs. Physical needs are important, but they pale in comparison to our spiritual-emotional and eternal needs.

Paul says, “We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12). Does that mean we will never have to worry about or spend time on our physical needs — food, work, cancer? Absolutely not. “Give us this day our daily bread” (Matthew 6:11). It means life is mainly about unseen realities. At the end of each day, what matters most happens at the spiritual and emotional level, not the physical and circumstantial.

That reality should be lived out in our prayer lives. We should spend as much time praying for our souls, for the salvation of our loved ones, for the spread of the gospel, and for the establishment of God’s glory and his kingdom as we pray about anything. Those prayers shouldn’t be tacked on to the end of our “real” needs. They are our deepest and most enduring needs.

4. Don’t be afraid to stop and pray now.

Prayer should be prioritized and scheduled, but the beauty of our newfound freedom and mercy in Christ is that prayer can happen anywhere. It should start alone with God in your prayer closet, but it never needs to stay there. It must not stay there. Bring prayer into the cracks of your day. And I don’t just mean before meals. When you feel the impulse to pray, seize it. Take it as the prompting of the Spirit (Satan certainly won’t encourage you to pray).

5. Identify your prayer circles.

When I say “prayer circles,” I’m not talking about circles of people that pray in a group, but concentric circles of people in your life. When it comes to praying for the needs around you, you will have to prioritize some people over others (at least consistently). Otherwise, you will do nothing but pray.

I pray outward in circles, beginning with my own soul, then for my wife, then for our families, then for our small group and our church, then for our nation, and lastly for the nations, especially the unreached in the world. I don’t hit every ring every time, but the circles lead me as I pray each morning.

The rings should not keep us from praying for the random stranger we met yesterday. They’re just meant to keep the consistent people in our life consistently before us in prayer. If prayer is the most important thing we can do for someone, shouldn’t we structure our schedules to do that for the most important people in our lives?

Try praying through your circles. And be willing to pray for someone or something that doesn’t quite fit.

6. Ask whatever you wish — literally anything.

If we’re honest, many of us the ack courage and imagination in our prayer lives. We have a tiny little box of routine things we’re willing to ask God for, and we take on everything else — our questions, our frustrations, our dreams — on our own. We assume God’s not interested in or doesn’t have time for the small details of our day. And we can’t even imagine him conquering global crises like 27 million in slavery and millions more enslaved to sin and headed to hell. And so we settle for middle-of-the-road mediocre requests. We wait to pray about something until it becomes “serious enough” for God to care about, and we don’t pray for something unless we expect him to do something in the next 24 hours. And so we deprive ourselves of his mercy and power in massive areas of our life and world.

“May God give us enough imagination to pray for the salvation of whole people groups and the end of sex-trafficking.”

Do we have enough courage to pray that God would save all Christians or people in the world?. Is that too big for God? “Is anything too hard for the LORD?” (Genesis 18:14).

Do we have enough imagination to ask God to end sex-trafficking in some other places in the world? We pray to a God “who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20). Jesus says, “If you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain”. “‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you” (Matthew 17:20). Will we believe Jesus and pray for big things?

Do we have enough faith to think God cares about another Monday morning at work or with the kids? God cares about everything in your heart and life, down to the very smallest things. Paul says, “Do not be anxious about anything” — your random conversation with that friend, your sleep tonight, this month’s budget — “but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” (Philippians 4:6). Anything and everything, every day. Don’t be afraid to pray big prayers and small ones.

7. Be willing to ask one more time.

Jesus knew we would lose heart in prayer, specifically that we would pray for things for long enough that we would start to question if God was listening or might ever answer. But he didn’t want us to lose heart or give up. He wanted us to keep asking, keep pleading, keep praying. He tells his disciples a story about a widow seeking justice from a judge, “who neither feared God nor respected man.” She pled and pled with him. Luke writes,

For a while he refused, but afterward, he said to himself, “Though I neither fear God nor respect man, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will give her justice so that she will not beat me down by her continual coming.” And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says. And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them?” (Luke 18:4–8)

“God knows what’s best for you, and he’s listening. Don’t be afraid to pray and ask him, again."

The widow was rewarded for her persistence by an unrighteous judge. How much more will God listen to his precious sons and daughters who ask and ask and ask? If the unrighteous judge could not ignore her, how much more will our heavenly Father hear us?

Don’t think now about praying for that need or desire for decades. Just focus on today. If God has given you a burden or a desire for another day, and you really believe that burden or desire might be from him, be willing to ask him one more time — one more prayer for relief, for reconciliation, for provision, for a breakthrough, for salvation. He’s still listening. Are we still believing? Jesus says,

“Which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!” (Matthew 7:9–11)

He won’t give you a stone. He won’t give you a serpent. He loves you. He knows what’s best for you. And he’s listening. Don’t be afraid to ask, again.~Marshall Segal

What Does it Mean to Train Up a Child in the Way He Should Go?

Train up a child in the way he should go:

And when he is old, he will never forget it.~ Proverbs 22:6

Individuals regularly utilize this refrain as an assurance that on the off chance that you bring up your youngsters "in the order and guidance of the Lord" (Ephesians 6:4), they'll generally remain in the correct way. That translation can be risky, especially for the "great guardians" I realize who has seen their more established youngsters stray from the confidence. We as a whole realize that we can attempt our best, and at times the outcomes are not the same as we would have trusted. We have an obligation as guardians to show our kids what makes a difference to God. It doesn't mean driving them into a specific allowance of faith-based expectations or customs; rather, it implies exhibiting genuine confidence – one that puts the attention on cherishing God and adoring others. In my view, there's not a more noteworthy reason we can have in life than mirroring God's picture for our youngsters to see.

Our children are going to learn about the world around them and their role in it. If they don’t learn from us, they will learn from someone else. It’s our responsibility to use our time with our kids wisely.

You have influence as a parent.

Ephesians 5:1-2

1 Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children

2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

What does Mark 5:36 mean?

Mark 5:36,: "But Jesus overheard them and said to Jairus, 'Don't be afraid. Just have faith.'

The wording indicates that Jesus overhears the person from Jairus' house while He is speaking to the woman healed from an issue of blood. There is a similarity here between the girl and Lazarus—both times, Jesus waits until the person is identified as dead before He comes to them. In the case of Lazarus, however, Jesus waits a full four days from the moment of death, which is the time the Jews believe it takes for the soul to leave the body, making full restoration is impossible (John 11:6). The scope of Jesus' miracles builds gradually, and here He merely delays until immediately after the girl has passed.

"Believe" is from the Greek root word pisteuo and basically means "to be persuaded as true." This is a tall order. People have been raised from the dead before, but the accounts were recorded in the Old Testament, written hundreds of years ago. Even if he is a leader of the Synagogue, Jairus has no particular reason to believe his twelve-year-old daughter is significant enough to be brought back to life by God's messenger.

In Jesus' ministry, faith is a conduit that allows the power of God to act. The faith of the woman with an issue of blood is so great she is healed without Jesus taking an active part. Conversely, when Jesus returns to His hometown of Nazareth, their unbelief will keep Jesus from doing the miracles that come so easily in Capernaum (Mark 6:1–6).

Miracles, impelled by faith in Jesus' ministry, are meant to identify Him as a representative of God. They alert the people to the fact that His teachings are from God and to be heeded. Now that those teachings are gathered in the Bible, God works in a slightly different way.

Our faith is still required for God to work in us. It doesn't have to be big (Luke 17:6), just pointed in the right direction (Hebrews 11:6) and persistent (1 Thessalonians 5:17). It also needs to have the right intent. It is not biblical to have "faith" that God will give us riches or health (James 4:2–3). Instead, God promises to give us what we need to do His will. If our hearts are aligned with His and we value what He prioritizes, we will be satisfied with what He gives us (John 15:7). It is okay to be disappointed when we don't receive the blessings we hope for if we also acknowledge that our hope, ultimately, rests in Him (1 Peter 1:3).

God, I put everything in your hands today!

LET US PRAY

Jesus,

I put stock in you. I am placing my conviction without hesitation by putting all that I have and all that I am into your cherishing, solid, skilled, dependable, able, unfailing hands. I give all of you that I hold dear.

I give you my family. It is composed,

"No weapon betrayed you will succeed." (Isaiah 54:17)

I trust in you to think about every last one of my family, to lead everyone, to ensure everyone, to show everyone, and to attract everyone to yourself.

I give you my future. It is composed,

"For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to flourish you and not to hurt you. Plans to give you an expectation and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)

On the off chance that somebody abuses you, at that point should be away from that individual, as you don't merit negative conduct. The most significant simply petition God for them. One day they will understand that they are wrong.
