The ‘Rubber Barber’ by Chen Lu Wei for Megawing, is a simple eraser that will make you smile. Each one has a face at its center, surrounded by a square of colour, which as the user erases, gradually creates various funky hairstyles, depending on how you work it. This process not only results in a happy interaction between user and the eraser, but also reminds people to use their imagination, and that sometimes mistakes can bring humour!

French artist Phillipe Petremant creates a comical collection of artworks entitled ‘The Magnificent Seven’ by folding banknotes and transforming the ornamental motifs into absurdist portraits, currently being shown at festival circulation(s), at Parc de Bagatelle in Paris.

Artist Iris Scott proves that finger painting isn’t just for kids. The painter has opted out of using brushes and, instead, chosen to slip on a pair of latex gloves and dip her protected hands into some paint.

The artist first discovered her finger painting talents as an adult on an artistic retreat in Taiwan, where the high temperatures led her to settle indoors in her air-conditioned room where she could paint comfortably. Rather than leaving her pleasantly temperate quarters to clean her paintbrushes, a process which she is self-admittedly terrible at, Scott chose to start painting with her fingers. (via)

We all know and love double exposure photos. San Francisco-based artist Pakayla Rae Biehn uses oil and acrylic to create incredible paintings that look like pictures.

Biehn makes us think that we’re looking at double exposure photos, a technique in which a piece of film is exposed twice, to two different images.  via

Roberto Bernardi is a hyperrealistic still life painter from Italy. Born in Todi in 1974, Bernardi first work in oils date back to the early 80s. In 1993 Bernardi moved to Rome where he worked as a restorer in the church of San Francesco a Ripa. After an initial foray with landscapes and portraits, Bernardi turned towards Hyperrealism.

Originally presented as the ‘Porsche 901 classic’ at the 1963 Frankfurt Motor Show – eventually renamed to the ’911′, as french car maker Peugeot objected to Porsche using any three digit number where the middle number was 0 – marks its 50th anniversary with the introduction of the ’2013 Porsche Carrera 911 4S’.

To commemorate ‘the most successful sports car ever produced – of which over 820,000 were sold’, the official Porsche museum in Stuttgart will host four special exhibitions, including an early-model 911 turbo coupe, 1981 911 cabriolet concept, a 1997 GT1 straßenversion supercar and a pre-series type 754 T7 – leading to the final’50 years of the Porsche 911 exhibition which will be hosted from june 4th until september 29th 2013.

When the ’911′ was officially launched to the market in 1964, it boasted an air-cooled, six-cylinder boxer engine that developed 128 hp capable of reaching a top speed of 131 mph (211 km/h).

London-based artist Jonty Hurwitz creates amazing anamorphic sculptures that can only be seen in their own reflections. In fact, without the mirror cylinder, most of his pieces would look like rubbish.

To create these sculptures, Jonty first scans a three-dimensional object, then uses computational software to come up with new physical forms.

“Finding that line between art and science is the underlying motivator in my art life,” says Jonty. “At heart I’m an artist scientist archetype that loves projects and people. Each of the art works and ventures on this site represent a part of what I am.”
