Loss of loved one

This is a real life story of a tragic death of a loved one in which is too painful to even write or talk about.

I would like to share a short tragic story that occurred in my life. My friend Leea who I thought was my girlfirend died while in my next door neighbor's house. I never knew she was there becuase she told me she was at her family's house. So I was naive and believed her story until the day came when the police were called saying there is a lady dead in the apartment next door.

Leea and I were together 6 years. We had our struggles but I never thought the day would come where she would lie and deceived me in this way.
Her death was and still is the worst thing ever happened to me. She was a great inspiration in my life and her death is a bitter pill to swallow knowing she died in this fashion.

When our love one passes away

When loved ones passes away it feels unbearable grief. It can feel like part of you have died too. But do you think your loved one would not want you to stay in grief? Your loved one would want you to stay strong and keep moving forward in the Lord. I pray you can find comfort in the following poem I wrote.

When our love-one pass away,

God wants us to stay strong,

Because when we believe in Him,

life continues on…

But the grief of death is more

than most can bear,

so I went to the Lord

and asked Him about death in prayer:

I asked:

"Why do we have to die?”

"You shall understand this one day.”

was His reply.

Then He said:

"Life is only a short phase,

so don’t despair--

In the midst of grief and sorrow,

My Grace is always there…”

The God of Is-Real

O Lord, people are saying You are just a prophet

or just an imaginary tail,

they say no man ever died

and came back from hell.

Some say “there’s no God”

people worship You in vain,

Why you allow them to blasphemy Your name?

Did You create the rain, lightning and thunder?

Lord, do You know hardships on earth

causes people to wonder?

“Behold, whoever asks anything in
My name is not asking in vain,
to give man a sign was one of the reasons I came.
All the things I did, I told man to write them in a book,
but unless a man is born again,
he cannot see a sign even when he looks.
I showed man one sign when I walked on the sea,
but many of them still doubted and did not believe in Me.

The Spiritual Warfare

The Four of Spade is an anagram meaning Spiritual conflict or war between Christ and Satan. This is a war between good and evil is taking place now spiritually. There’s a conflict of interest between God and man. God is the creator of heaven and earth, but satan has lead people to believe that God is a myth! Satan even told Jesus “IF” He bowed down to him he would give Jesus the kingdoms of the world and their glory. Matthew 4:4-9

Satan said the kingdoms of this world is his to give to anyone he wishes including you and I, but there is a price to pay if you accept his offer. Material possessions and money can’t save us from judgment. Even if satan could give us the world what good would it do us? Would having the world in your hands make you right with God? Would having all the money in the world save you from death?

The Four of Spades came to me by means of a dream. I have decided to make an attempt to help those searching for answers. I pray that the following anagram has meaning to your soul.

F—the letter F stands for Faith. The bible tells us the Faith is things hoped for and evidence of thins not seen”. By faith we are saved! But the bible also says that “without Faith it’s impossible to please God.

O—the letter O is for Obeying. We must be obedient to His commandments and His Will. The Bible says that we should obey those in authority. Hebrew 13:17

U—the letter Uis for Unbelief. It’s difficult for anyone to believe in things they can’t see, but this is exactly what God is asking you to do is believe no matter how good or bad things appears. For example, Jesus wasn’t able to perform miracles in His hometown because of people’s unbelief. People only saw Him as the carpenter’s son but not the Son of God. As a result of their unbelief, Jesus departed from their presence. We can’t afford to allow Him to depart for us due to unbelief. The people missed out on great blessings due to their unbelief. Blessed are we who have the faith to believe without seeing Him physically.

R—the letter R is for to be Ready! Jesus said “watch and be Ready” No one knows the exact time He is coming back to earth to bring wrath. Yes, many will be condemned because of the evil deeds but you and I have Life and don’t have to experience His wrath. We should be ready to meet Jesus at all times. Satan wants to trick you to believe that you have nothing to worry about. Satan wants you to believe that the Bible isn’t true. But Jesus is asking you what do you believe in your heart?

“He who believes and is baptized will be saved,

This poem is called The Road to Success. This is an inspirational poem that I wrote while in prison. I hope and pray you enjoy it.

The Road to Success

O lord, I’m lost and don’t know which way to go,

My frustration is so great that only You would know…

I’ve been traveling on this road seven days a week,

I’m so stressed until I haven’t been able to sleep.

My burdens are more than I’m able to bear,

I try reaching out to others, but no one else seems to care…

“Blessed is the man who turns to me for advice, indeed, I charge nothing except thou shall honor me with thy life,

I have heard thy prayers and thou shall surely see peace,

I shall bless thee abundantly as sure as the sun rises in the east.

Refrain from evil and my grace shall guide thee through,

if thou will trust and believe,

then there’s no limit to the things I shall do.

Man seeks success to honor his own glory,

but take heed to what I did in King Solomon’s story.

One night, not too late, I asked Solomon what he wanted in a dream, I wanted him to have great success with Me working as a team…

He said, “Listen, out of all the things in this world, I just want to govern Your people right, so please give me, I pray thee, what’s best in the Lord’s sight…”

I, the Lord, found honor in his request, and because he did not seek his own glory, his life was truly blessed.

The instructions I gave him were plain easy, and simple,

he glorified Me when he built the world’s greatest temple.

He endured great sorrows, but he taught men to glorify My Name, and I blessed him abundantly with wisdom, fortune and fame.

This is a poem is called “A Great Vision”. This poem is about having faith when things aren’t going well.

A Great Vision

The day is a little weary,

I’m deep in despair,

My grief and frustration

is so difficult to bear.

it’s hard to keep calm living

in so much rage,

It’s like a wild animal

whose locked in a cage.

Clawing and fighting,

wanting to be set free!

In this state-of-mind isn’t

where I want to be.

There’s no one to rescue me

or help bear my grief,

just to have a warm embrace

would be a big relief.

Are my emotions are too extreme?

I’m trying not to shed a tear,

I go through hardships year after year.

I’m not seeking sympathy,

nor do I want to complain,

in spite of the stormy weather,

I know that there’s sunshine

after the rain.

I have a Great Vision, but it seems so far away,

but I have faith in GOD that

HE will bless me to see that day!

When I was in prison

When I was in prison I did not have any place to turn for support. No one visited me, but there were a few faithful servants of the Lord who faithfully wrote me letters. My mother was one of those servants. Since I have been out of prison I have not been able to establish work here that's why I am pleading for your help today. I am asking you to partner with me and help my efforts in buying a used picked up truck so that i can not only provide for myself, but also provide for others in need. God bless you thank you for your support. I am sharing a favorite bible scripture I memorized while in prison. I pray it touches your heart like it did mine!

"I cry aloud to the Lord;

This is a poem called "God is real". Its about faith in God! Many say there is no God and Jesus did not exist! But the question is what do you believe?

The God of Is-Real

My first poem I wrote in prison

This prison poem is one I wrote while in #prison. I was very hurt and discouraged about being locked up and how I was convicted to prison. It was as if I was a murderer or rapist. I prayed and asked God why? He said if the laws of man could convict and sentence Him to death then surly I had no chance, but He also said He would deliver me so the world can see that He can deliver those who trusts and believe in Him!

Sentence to Die

When I first broke the law,

I had never did any time,

I was ignorant about the judicial system,

and they convicted me of an outrageous crime.

I had no money to pay an attorney to advocate my case,

so I testified to the court asking for mercy and grace.

I fooled myself by thinking everything will be fine,

“just plead guilty” was the only thing came to mind.

“I’m sorry your honor about this crime”,

but there was no mercy,

I was sentence and had to pay a huge fine.

But thousands of innocent people are also

unjustly judged and tried,

some suffer greatly where the law is unjustly applied.

I prayed hard about these things, I know God heard,

because He shared with me a very special word…

“Do thou not remember when I was prosecuted,

judged, and tried?

They charged Me with speaking blasphemy,

but everyone knows they lied.

I did not need an attorney because

the truth speaks for itself,

but they said I had no evidence to support my story

and sentenced me to death. I told the truth,

but the prosecutors turned it into a lie,

I had many witnesses but they still sentenced Me to die.

Wherefore, thou shall know the truth about the laws of man,

thou shall be prosecuted and convicted

without ever taking the stand.

But I shall deliver the captives so the world can see,

that I can deliver those whose trusts and believes in Me.”

The Freedom Challenge!

Do we really want to be set free? If So, we must first be set Free from our self everyday! I invite you to try the Freedom Challenge today!

Apostle Paul describes so often as being victorious in adversity and sufferings vs being overcome by them, to the point of not just buckle under and enduring them, but we can "Take pleasure in our infirmities?

"...My strength is made perfect in (your) weakness...Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: 2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV

Where does this 180 of Freedom Happen?

You mean we can 'SUFFER' and not be thrown off course, but become more deeply anchored? Another translation puts it this way: "Therefore, I take pleasure in being without (my) strength, in insults, in being pinched, in being chased about, in being cooped up in a corner for Christ's sake; for when I am without (my) strength, than am I dynamite!" What a description of having met the Freedom Challenge! Emptied of my strength and filled with God's strength!

How Rare is That Experience To Us?

'Paul willingly carried his cross, out of which sprang his chorus of victorious praise; and the harder the trial, the more he trusted and rejoiced!" And we can too!

Shouting from the very Altar of Self Sacrifice declaring, "Yea, and if I be offered upon the service and sacrifice of your faith (to benefit others), I joy and rejoice with you all."

If we too are willing and faithful to take this Freedom Challenge, to take up our cross is the way Jesus put it as the one condition to Follow Me! Then we can learn to draw strength from all that comes to us vs being defeated again and again!

The Freedom Challenge is costly, it will cost us our very selves because ultimately it's not about us as a SOURCE but of SERVICE -- in fact it will take a personal cross of willingness on our part to accept the dynamic required of –

NO INDEPENDENT SELF

Which sheds off 'self-pity, resentment, retaliation, anger at God and others, and on and on! Basically, the carnal fleshly 'person' of self that only taking up our cross of self denial can render powerless in us!.

We need to look at two things specifically in this and that is the manifestation of Love that SETS US FREE! Because we can't have one without the other:
Again, the Apostle Paul speaking of any 'loss to himself' described in 2 Corinthians 4, summed his Christian life and experience as "Always bearing our cross of self-denial that the LOVE of Christ might be made manifest in us' --

And whose words in 1 Corinthians 13 painted the incredible portrait of that Love in it's full display or manifestation, that "Without LOVE we are nothing!" I debated with calling this the Love Challenge, but I realized that they each require one another FREEDOM THROUGH DIVINE LOVE!

HOW FREEDOM WORKS IN US?

Jesus' words give a description of many aspects of when we are walking in the Freedom Challenge: "If someone strikes you on the one cheek, turn to him the other cheek...if anyone asks you to go with them one mile, go with them two...Forgive 7x70, love your enemies, do not seek revenge, give freely to others asking nothing in return -- without offense and bitterness.

And on and on to the point of the most extreme manifestation of love which is to lay down our very lives for others in all ways both small and large, even to death if need be.

In a word, Jesus taught and demonstrated that 'LOVE IS A LIVING SACRIFICE" -- Paul describes the meaning of the 'altar' for Christians as the offering of our lives to Christ, 'to be ever consumed, yet ever living: to be ever living, yet ever consumed.'

Our day by day walk with Christ propels us to 'grow out of ourselves and grow into Him' to the point that less and less we love ourselves and more and more we learn to love God and others.

As only the power and virtue of the Holy Spirit through the Word of God, can take the great ego and nail it to our cross: If we don't take in JESUS, there will be no JESUS in us to meet The Freedom Challenge that we can only experience through Love!

The references for us to “Die TO Self” means coming into places of total dependence upon Christ to do in us what we cannot do from our own selves. The reproduction of the Love of Christ is the fruit that appears on the branch as it clings to the Vine.

Freedom is Beyond Ourselves!

ONLY being consumed in the love of Christ through the Holy Spirit and the inspiration of the Word can set us free -- free of the SELF that is in direct conflict with GOD'S DESIRE TO PERFECT HIS LOVE IN US! See Ephesians 3:9-21

We have the first and most perfect example of fulfilling the Freedom Challenge which is Jesus Christ obedient to the Father's will within their love relationship, and He alone can ask us to take this challenge which He did, again and again in the Gospels:

He died and He rose from the dead. He issued the challenge to FOLLOW Him!

He has handed us our Cross of Self Denial so that we could both receive and fulfill The Freedom Challenge and be filled with all the fullness of God!

God is Love!

How Strong is Your Faith?

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego is an example of great faith. See Daniel chapter 1-3. They knew they would be thrown in the hot furnace to be burned to death, but the situation did not alter their faith! Their faith got stronger as a result the Lord delivered them from death of fire. The Lord is still looking for great faith today! God is looking for those who are face to face with death, but will not alter or change his or her faith in God!

This is an inspirational poem I wrote about winning at life. Its about enduring great challenges in life. I pray every day that God blesses me with strength to endure my trials and life challenges.

Win This Race

God please bless me with the strength

to endure this never ending race,

O Lord when things aren’t going well,

I want to keep a smile and continue seeking Your face.

Lord, I very weak and need help to make it to the finish-line,

O Lord please comfort my body, soul, and mind.

O Lord, my goal is to get there, but it’s a long way to the finish,

Even if Satan gets in my way You will not allow my hard work be diminished.

I won’t stop running until I see that ole familiar sign,

but Lord it’s a long, long way to my destination, which is the finish line.

Nothing will stop me even if I have to run with bare feet,

O Lord, I’m willing to sacrifice everything not to suffer the agony of defeat.

My body and mind is tired from stress and strain,

Be Thankful for Today!

I am letting my worries, problems and stress go today! I’m thankful and grateful for making it today! In spite of all my hardships, grief, loneliness, or despair, I am thankful and grateful about God allowing me to see another day!

No, Being grateful doesn’t change my situation, but it allows me to be thankful for the opportunity of living this very moment!

I do not take for granted that I suppose to wake up and be living on earth. Even though I am facing great obstacles in my life, I try to take a moment to just be thankful about being alive right now!

This is a poem I wrote about being thankful and grateful. This poem will not take your problems away, but it will help provide a remedy for your problems--- be grateful!

Just for Today

Everything happens in life for a reason,

Just Like winter, hardships only last for a season…

What is the greatest evil on earth? Did you know one of the greatest evils in the world is drug addiction?

Yes, believe it or not addiction to drugs has destroyed many lives. My addiction to crack nearly took my life. My addiction caused me to spend many lonely years in prison. Addiction to drugs took my sister’s life and I am sharing her story with you to let you know that addiction is bondage of Satan.

This memorial is dedicated to Tonya Rose Gillam. Tonya was born in Detroit, MI. on July 5th 1967. She died on June 15th, 2008. Tanya was 41 years of age at the time of her death. She died on the streets of Detroit addicted to crack cocaine.

Crack took her life. Satan robbed her of her life. Satan tricked her in believing a lie. Satan tricked her into believing that drugs was the best thing on earth and that she should do anything to get it. Her mother, Ms. Irene Gillam, loved Rose dearly. It broke her heart when she discovered her only daughter was dead. I believe the worse part about my sister's death was how they found her.

Police records say she was found in an alley behind a garage. At the time of her death, I was in prison. My mother wrote and told me what happened and sent her obituary to me. I knew my mother was deeply hurt about Rose's death. I could see how brokenhearted she was in her letter. Not only was she grieving this tragedy, but she was also in despair about me being in prison. I am truly sorry my mother had to bear such grief.

Rose died a horrible way. I pray to God that He forgives her of her sins. She wasn’t able to ask for forgiveness before she died. I ask God to look at her baptism into His Church. I ask God to remember all that my mother did to raise her. I ask the Lord on her birthday July 5th to forgive Rose of her sins!

We show our grief when our loved-one die,

it hurts inside, but you try not to cry.

We mourn we our loved one has become deceased,

but with faith in God we know their burdens was released!

Going to Jail poem

This is a poem I wrote while I was a prisoner in the Michigan prison system. I did not like being in prison, but it taught me a great lesson about appreciating life!

GOING TO JAIL

Breaking the law and going to jail,

becoming a prisoner who is locked in a cell.

Different races, colors and ages,

all together like animal in cages.

From stick-ups to drug dealers to stealing cars,

they are taken off the streets to be placed behind bars.

Different people that have been charged with a crime,

the consequences are, you have to serve some time.

From all across the state from city to city,

there is a person who enforces the law that shows no pity.

It is from Zero to life depending on the case,

and you think of the precious time in jail that you will waste.

All of your freedom is left behind,

and you are feeling hurt because you are confined.

Leaving loved-ones, now you are wondering who is your friend,

as your life on the streets has come to an end.

From hustling on the streets trying to go from rags to fame,

to becoming a prisoner and wondering who is to blame?

Some get frustrated, miserable and mad,

and others get depressed, lonely its really sad.

Being convicted of a crime while trying to obtain,

an unlawful way of a financial gain.

Wanting to be the man who is headed in a one-way direction,

but unfortunately it turned out to be in the Department of Corrections.

Some try to change because it is never too late,

to turn your life around from this terrible mistake!!!

I often think about

all the things

I would do,

To show how much

I really love you…

I would travel to the farthest galaxy

many light years away,

Just to buy you a gift

to brighten your day…

I would go diving for pearls

in the deep blue sea,

Just to show you how much

you mean to me…

I would walk through the hottest desert

known to man,

to find you a treasure

hidden in the sand…

There’s nothing I can think of

God Will Revenge Them!

Even though evil terrorist groups like ISIS exist in the world and they kill innocent Christian people, I know beyond a reasonable doubt that they will answer to God (the Great Humanitarian) soon for their great crimes against Him. The people who died in the Lord did not die in vain!

The Great Humanitarian

O Lord, there’s decades of conflicts with no end in sight,

There’s constant violence all day and night.

Hardships are causes the strongest to weep,

It’s like a bad nightmare that wakes me up from sleep.

The atrocities are truly beyond belief,

I pray, O Lord, You send some long-term relief…

"Now I shall speak to this evil generation,

to all the inhabitants dwelling in every single nation…

To all the masses dwelling in Africa, Europe, Asia, and Greece—

to the ones in America, Israel, and the entire Middle East.

This is to all the tribes of: Christian, Hindu, Muslim, and Jew—

to the Buddhist and Catholic this prophecy is also for you.

Woe to the multitudes who have mocked and forsaken Me,

and to the ones who have eyes and ears but cannot hear or see.

Woe to those who have made the weak their prey,

and all the workers of iniquity dwelling in the world today.

As I live, I shall revenge the innocent who have been and are being slain, I shall not allow their prayers and blood be in vain.

Indeed, there are great devastation, anguish, sorrow, and grief,

but I Am the Great Humanitarian who shall provide long-term relief"
