I’m not a straight a student but I’ve always done pretty well. I’m currently pulling a 3.5 GPA in college so I figured why not use some of that talent to promote myself and my products on the internet. I started article writing back in 2007 as a way to try to generate income for myself. I use to create websites with Google Adsense, Kontera and Affiliate Programs and tried earning income that way.

It did okay but not terribly great. So in 2009 I finally setup a blog all by myself. I mean my first fully Search Engine Optimized Blog. After this we started making more affiliate sales and overall our traffic was steadily increasing after we converted our primary network marketing websites to a blog in April.

The reason is blogs are made in such a way where the search engines just love them. When we make a post to our best blog the post is usually spidered within 5 minutes and we’re ranking, not necessarily in the top 10 this quick but we do rank somewhere for whatever targeted keyword phrase we write about. This gets me excited and so does writing in general, so it’s a passion I don’t think I’ll be dropping anytime soon.

When people ask me how to become a successful article writer or blogger I tell them all the same thing. Find a niche you can sell something in and that you are passionate about, preferably a niche with a lot of buyers. Then write one unique blog post per day on that niche. Also write a separate article on that niche and point your anchor text links back to your blog. This will give your blog consistent, incoming backlinks.

If you do this everyday for long enough, say 3-6 months, you will start to see the traffic on your blog increase rapidly. When you submit articles to the major article directories, lots of other blogs pick them up and use them creating even more backlinks to your website. This will give your blog more authority in the Search Engines and it will cause the Search Engines to come back and spider your blog more often.

When I first started Article Writing it was a bit of a chore for me. But what I notice is that when I keep on doing it, it gets easier and easier to write. Many Article Marketers are hung up on using low competition, decent traffic keywords to write their articles around. You’ve probably spend some time and effort in researching and selecting your keywords, you should also know how best to use them.  Knowing this will greatly improve the efficiency of your search engine optimization (SEO) efforts.

There are 5 places in a web page where you should use keywords:
The Title Tag.
The Keyword Meta Tag.
The Description Meta Tag.
The Alt Tags for images.
In the body text on the page.

First let’s take a look at the Title Tag.  This is one of the tags included in the header section of a web page.  This section begins with and ends with .  The title information that makes up the Title Tag is what appears on the very top bar of the internet browser.

The search engines will index this tag’s information, and use it as an indicator for what your web page is about.  They will also use this information as the title for this web page in their listings.  

You may use 60 to 115 characters in the Title Tag.  And you should always use the main keywords for the page in the title information.  Consider the title as a very short description of the web page

The Keyword Meta Tag is another tag used in the header section of a web page.  It used to be the main way search engines indexed your page.  Now there is a real debate about whether or not this tag is used at all.  But since Google often deploys deception when talking about how it ranks website, you might as well use this tag.  It takes very little effort, and there is no penalty for using it.

The keywords in this tag should be separated by a comma. Put more specific keywords first, then put the less important and general keywords later on.

The Description Meta Tag is just as it is labeled, a place to put a short concise description of the web page.  This should be kept to under 50 words.  Google will use the content of this tag as the descriptive lines following the title line when the web page appears in the search results.  So make sure to use your keywords here in a fashion to attract visitors to your web page.

Alt tags are text description that are included in the html code used to display pictures or images on a web page.  This is not the same thing as the caption.  The Alt tag content is considered as alternate text to appear when the image or picture does not appear.

These Alt tags do get indexed by the search engines so be sure to include related keywords in the content.  The Alt tag text should  accurately reflect the content of the image.  No keyword stuffing please.

The main place for your keywords is in the body copy of the web page.  This is the text that your visitors see when visiting your web page.  This is not the place to jam as many keywords as possible into your content just for better search engine rankings.  That is called keyword stuffing, and you will be penalized for doing this.  Remember, you write your content for your visitors, not for search engines.  

Your job is to work your keywords into your content.  You should choose one main keyword, and then one or two secondary keywords.  This should fit into your content naturally.  Your writing needs to be easy to read and easy to understand if you are going to impress, and enlighten your visitors.

You should aim to use your keywords as about 1 to 3 % of your content.  This is called keyword density.  Too much keyword density, and you’ll be slapped.  Too little density and it won’t make any difference.  Just use your keywords naturally in your content and you will be fine.

As stated above, you spent some time and effort on choosing your keywords, be sure to follow these directions to best use them.

If you click on the tab “Pages with external links” you will gain access to the site pages which have a low number of external links and need improvement. This is very important in checking how effective is your link building campaign and how many keyword rich links are pointing to your relevant pages. 7. It allows generating / analysing robots.txt. Personally, I use quantcast. The reason you want to do this is because you want to see what your target market looks like and everything about them. using quantcast you can find these out very easily.

Okay so now you have your target market and you know who they are, now you want to research your keyword even closer. There are several toold you can use and one which I use often is google’s free keyword tool. What you are looking for is keywords for your target market that have large amount of searches (over 3,000) but very little competition. Once you have found your nugget keywords they you proceed to www.wordpress.com and register a free blog using these keywords.
