Fri, 8 Jun 6:00 PM - Veteran-Civilian Dialogue: What happens when veterans and civilians come into conversation?

Dozens of strangers come together to discuss a topic important to both the veteran and civilian communities: the impacts of war. In our Veteran-Civilian DialogueTM project, guests participate in a three hour session and have an opportunity to talk about how war has impacted their lives and others.

Join us at Intersections on Friday evening, June 8, 2012 from 6-9 PM for a VCD. The dialogues are intentional conversations between equal numbers of veterans and civilians revolving around the shared impact of war upon both groups.

as a Catholic priest.

Alan Lurie, formerly a Managing Director at Grubb & Ellis Real Estate, as well as an ordained rabbi, is a contributing writer to Huffington Post, and author of the business bestseller, Five Minutes On Mondays: Finding Unexpected Purpose, Peace and Fulfillment at Work.

Joshua M. Greene, described by The New York Times as “a storyteller…who traces journeys to enlightenment.” His books on paths to enlightenment include Here Comes the Sun: The Spiritual and Musical Journey of George Harrison and Gita Wisdom: An Introduction to India’s Essential Yoga Text.

Carol Fox Prescott, a celebrated actor, director, master teacher, and performance coach. Carol’s clients include actors, business leaders, clergy, doctors, artists and educators - anyone for whom presentation and self-discovery are essential to success. Carol’s book on acting is Breathing, Awareness and Joy.

Intersections will participate in the New York City Partnership 4 Family Caregiving Corp. event on Tuesday, June 19th. The event provides an opportunity for corporations and individuals to get information about family caregiving options, and introduces people to the family caregiving community.
