Because I want to be M.Bibelot.  She is, hands down, the most impressive wardrobe_remixer I can call a contact.  I think raiding her closet would be the highlight of my year–though I know I couldn’t pull off even a quarter of her things half as well.

Love her taste in furnishings, too.

Loved the handbags by Population One.  The mix of vinyl and fabric was even cooler in person and the color combinations she had on hand were so tempting.

Absolutely adore the artwork by Black Rabbit.  The recycled tin she uses, along with found objects, was dimensional and too, too cool in person.

And you know I love jewelry made from unexpected, interesting things.

Finally, Tako Fibers had amazing embroidery on display.  It looks like their shop is stocked with DIY kits–maybe Rebecca or Diana might take a stab given they’re much farther along than I ever got with my Sublime Stitching kit.

I’ve seen less of the U.S. than I have of Europe and these shots remind me one of my goals is to eventually make it to the east coast.

First up, a new scarf in linen, satin and cotton.  Most of these are remnants from other projects and might be familiar…

And a new necklace using the vintage lace I got from my coworker–the first one sold so quickly!

The earrings feature some of the beads I acquired recently–I usually try to mix new with old but couldn’t resist this combination.

That is, the ceremony and reception are booked on the Argosy, a four hour shindig that we’re all taking bets will end up with someone overboard.  Because I’m a dork and always think about these things months in advance, I’ve decided a new dress is in order–perhaps on my favorite sailor theme (I wanted to wear my LBD but found out that’s the color for the bridesmaids’ dresses.)

This Milly dress from Revolve has the nautical rope thing going for it but looks a little shapeless.

The sailor feel is a little more subtle with the bright green skirt of this dress from Lulu’s but it looks comfortable as well as adorable.

This dress from Mango might be my fave though I’m worried it looks a bit casual.  Love that neckline, though.  A trip to the east side might be in order to check it out in person…

The sequel, After the Thin Man, takes place over the course of only a few days so there isn’t much to see in the way of clothing.  The costume designer clearly had to settle for having fun with Nora Charles’ sleepwear, her robes looking much closer to evening wear than something you’d wear to cover up your nightie.

This might have been my favorite, worn after she woke up Nick in the middle of the night with a craving for eggs.  The bow is just too much.

She’s then wearing this robe with fur cuffs the following morning.  As you can see, Nick had to settle for one robe for the night.

While the fur is a nice touch, it’s the crazy pleating at the sleeve that really caught my eye.

If only sleepwear looked like this now.

This quatrefoil tray and Cavaillon mirrors make me feel like I must be on a French kick–though that’s never really been my taste.  Both from Ballard Designs.

Then I’m completely taken with these industrial looking wine racks and playful hopskotch rug…and know my taste is no where near settled.  Both from CB2.

Once I’m in a bigger place, I’m sure I’ll figure out a way to combine everything…

Regularly haunting ebay, which I’d mostly given up on in the past year, turned up these boots I’ve been coveting for a while.  So I was finally able to add a pic to the pool.

And yes, I added the lace to the neckline.  It’s an addiction!

My latest favorites seem so wintry–totally inappropriate given the gorgeous, sunny weather and blue skies Seattle’s been enjoying lately.
