What brings me great joy is when clients share with me how happy they are working with me. It is such a gift for me to hear from someone that I have helped them make major shifts in their life in less than 5 weeks. But when I encounter anxious moments, I close my eyes and see with my heart.

I was speaking with a dear friend recently and we were talking about how much “courage” it takes to clean your emotional house. I certainly agree. It is not easy to see and then release your past experiences; however, the freedom that you will gain is priceless.

As we are preparing for 2010 some of us are getting ready in a conscious deliberate way while others are just going along in life and accepting what comes our way as if we are dragging a heavy weight on our shoulders. We must make a decision– what are you doing to prepare for your life today and in the future? Remember we have free will!

Living your present moments in a joy-filled experience will heal you and I might add is one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself. As this year is beginning to come to an end and a new decade is dawning, I hope you will take control of your emotions and choose the feelings that you want to experience.

How do I honor who I am and follow my life’s purpose? I am a 60 year old woman who has a job but I have no security so how do I move forward with my life, its purpose and meaning?

I guess I am hoping to discover my soul’s purpose and my future while I am on this planet. I am not sure how to begin. If you can give me some insight I would be most grateful.

Dear Heather:

It is about your soul discovery. I think you are too focused on your Ego Mind, which is well intentioned however, out of ignorance it is focusing on fear and worry which is actually tripping you up and preventing you from bringing flow into your life. To unblock it means that you have to do your work, which does take conscious intention, willingness and commitment. We all have the opportunity to choose feeling blocked or feeling the flow. Which are you choosing? Please take a look at yourself and see what frequency you are marching too—your self-observation will be most helpful.

You have powerful thoughts and you are the solution, so I suggest that you move away from fear or insecurity. You can flow but it is about the frequency that you are identifying with. So again I emphasize, you must begin to decide how you want to live and where you want to put your focus. What you dwell on all the time will materialize your outcome.

One of your life lessons is for you to learn and understand why you have needed to be in the place you are in. This is not a punishment. It is a wake-up call. Also, allow yourself now more than ever to create clarity on what you want your life to look like. What is it you want to bring into your life? I have said it before and I will say it again, I wrote my book: “Soul Discovery to help people like you. If you sincerely want to discover the answers that you are seeking, you will reach out for the tools that will guide your journey.

Dear Samantha:

This is a powerful question and one I deal with often with my clients. What seems to be happening is conflict between your Higher Self (your soul) and your Ego. It is really important not to force anything. Your child within is scared and you need to get to the bottom of it with her and find out why through your self-observation. Your Ego Mind actually believes that it is protecting you by bringing up your fear but in truth it is preventing your forward movement as you focus on your limiting beliefs.

I always recommend to my clients to ask their emotions to speak to them. Sit with your anxiety and fear- they have a voice- go beneath the words of what is there and allow the emotions to lift so you can let them go. By observing our Ego thinking, we can become aware of those beliefs and feelings that are holding us back. It is important to learn how to create a continuous flow of love energy. Any of my meditation CD’s will assist you with this. The Forgiveness and Healing Program will help tremendously as you change your feelings and dwell on that which brings you joy.

Our Ego is actually a gift to us when utilized in the right way. It reveals to us all those emotions that we need to let go of so we can grow and heal.

Are you wearing a mask to hide your sadness or identity?

But let’s not forget that autumn is more than a time for trick-or-treating; in fact, it’s the perfect occasion to harvest the abundance that awaits you if you’re willing to realize your potential.

I can’t do it!

How many times have you thought that you just can’t go any further? How many times have you questioned your own abilities to create happiness and prosperity in your life? How often have you asked yourself, “Why should I even try?” If you’ve asked yourself any of the aforementioned questions, then it’s time to unveil your authentic self so you can rise above life’s circumstances to initiate real forward motion.

Here are a few tips to start your inner-healing process:

1. Stop beating yourself up. When you begin to over-criticize yourself, you plant negative seeds in your mind. Once these seeds take sprout, the roots of pessimism begin to implant themselves in every cell of your body, mind, and spirit. This type of thinking results in stress, anxiety, and even physical illness.

2. Replace negative thought patterns. Reinvent the way you think. Instead of focusing on everything that went wrong, I want you to concentrate on everything that can go right. Don’t say, “I can’t.” Instead, say aloud to yourself, “I can.” When life begins to get you down, throw a boomerang of happiness. When you project happiness, it comes back to you. Break here

3. Visualize your success. I can’t stress this enough. In order to start creating prosperity in your life, you must imagine the success that you can achieve. Figuratively speaking, you need to get down to the nitty-gritty details of what it is you want so you can embrace it fully. If you’re unhappy with your mundane career and are interested in pursuing a more exciting one; for example, in seeking a rewarding position as a firefighter, the first thing you need to do is imagine yourself in uniform. Imagine yourself dressed in yellow. Visualize the red fire truck, and you’re driving it to the fire scene. Whatever the career of your dreams is, you have to taste it, feel it, see it, and focus on it – every single day until you get it. In doing so, your intention transforms into action. Action results in the outcome you want.

That same methodology works well with anything that you are presently seeking. Doesn’t matter if it’s a job, a home, a relationship, health, wealth or prestige…whatever it is that your heart desires can become a reality when you remove the mask and start listening to your intuition and redefining your future.

The key for all of us is to identify the underlying meaning behind each mask and see if the one you are wearing today is serving you. If not what can you do on a daily basis to begin to make the necessary changes?

The word responsibility keeps coming up among clients and friends lately. There is change going on for so many of us right now. I used to hate change, but now I really embrace change as I have learned to fall in love with the unknown.

In order to heal and grow even deeper we must embrace what is going on and decide what we want to do about it. At the end of the day, we are all responsible for our actions and/or reactions. If we are stuck in the mud, maybe we need to enjoy that experience for a while. If we feel unhappy about being in the mud, then it is our responsibility to either call out for help or get resourceful and choose a different experience.

We are on earth and whether we like it our not–things happen! When I have been in situations that just didn’t work for me anymore or that didn’t feel comfortable, I begin to look for ways to change and create something different.

When you are tired of sitting in the mud and have really had enough you will begin to do something about it. The only way our lives are going to be different are if we take responsibility and choose different action.

Dear Sammy Jo:

First and foremost you must control your mind.  It is taking over your life and setting you up for failure and destruction.  The best thing for me to do with you and everyone reading this answer is to put the ball back in your court and ask you to step up for yourself and take responsibility for your own answers.  What do you need to do to completely turn your life around?  If you could identify the biggest block that is stopping your forward motion in your life right now, your whole life, in an instant, could dramatically change for the better.

I want you to see where all the lack is in your life, not just with money but all aspects in your life.  Possibly it could be with communication, your health and /or your attitude—take the time to sit quietly and write about all your feelings of lack.  Then I want you to write out all your blessings - is anything going your way?

What is a gift in your life?  Where can you be a gift to yourself?  You are steering your ship towards the rocks.  The key for you right now is to turn the direction of your ship but that will take a strong intention, willingness and commitment.  You need to decide where you belong, where can you benefit and be of service and what can be a benefit to you.  Yes it takes work, of course, it can be exhausting—but we are speaking about you and your life and maybe it is time for you to be responsible for your choices.

When we focus on blessings and gifts even if it is one thing- and you focus on it often this alone can begin to open your heart and prepare you to receive another blessing such as a job.  Honest and sincere self-discovery is beneficial.  A pity party is not.   Start having open and honest communication with yourself and your partner.  Get real clear with what is working in your life.  Understand what is not working and decide to change it.

Self-observation is powerful.  Let go of what does not serve you, get resourceful and breath life back into your body, mind and spirit.  Before you can enjoy and experience positive change in your external life, you need to work on the positive and nurturing change on the inside of you.  Learn to receive and appreciate the blessings that are waiting for you.  Believe that you deserve to receive

How can I figure out what my life’s purpose is?  I enjoy helping people but I am tired of not making any money.  When will I figure it out and how can I make my life flow?

Dear Mary Sue:

This is a great question because I find that most people want to know what their purpose is.  For many of us our purpose is to heal the deep seated wounds within our Soul.  We are all helping people every single day of our lives on many different levels.  I think many don’t realize that being a great listener for a family member or friend is a gift and actually quite purposeful because you are helping someone and giving support.

When we become conscious of our need to heal from the inside out and are willing to spend time and money working on ourselves, that is, our inner being, we will become more whole.
As you continue to heal from within your purpose will become clearer to you.  A great question to ask yourself is: “What do you enjoy doing on a daily basis?”   I was just speaking to a friend of mine who wants to help those less fortunate.  He wants to travel to other countries and help build schools.  As a result of him sharing this with me, I suggested that he look into organizations whose expertise fits that ambition.  Quite possible they would hire him and they would both benefit.

My point being there can always be a solution to what you want to do.  Your life purpose is to create joy in your life.  What does that look like?  Can you actually imagine having a life that flows?  What would your life look like, and feel like if it was actually flowing.  Start visualizing that and allow the images to appear in your conscious mind often during the day.  Soon you will begin to get ideas that will allow new possibilities to open.
