IE7 float bug

I haven't tested this on lower versions of IE but this fails on IE7. Check out how the Result tab renders in IE7; any ideas how this can be fixed?

True, it's not the first app offering turn-by-turn driving instructions for the iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS -- but it is from TomTom, an industry heavy-weight that is finally delivering on years of rumor and speculation.

Mozilla released a Javascript memory profiling tool to help developers get a glimpse of what's under the hood of the browser. As web applications get more and more advanced and reside in the browser longer than normal webpages that we close often, the browser takes up a larger amount of memory that can get inexplicably big (Firefox dooh).
With the tool from mozilla we can inspect the Javascript heap and get info about our objects, functions and various components and fix leaks and other problems.

Sometimes a custom font can make a design stand out and be more visual appealing. In the web design industry we use custom fonts especially in headings but they're sometimes used in body text too. Circulau pe internet zvonuri despre un browser dezvoltat de cei de la Google, ei bine acum e oficial, au anuntat pe blogul lor noul produs Google Chrome. Il puteti downloada de aici.
Conceptul de la care au pornit este ca internetul a evoluat, paginile web nu mai sunt documente propriu zise ci sunt adevarate aplicatii care ruleaza in browser. Avem acum de la sisteme de operare ce ruleaza in browser AjaxOS, Goowy pana la aplicatii complexe de ex Aviary, Picknik, Adobe Kuler, Facebook, Famundo etc; asa ca Google incearca sa creeze un fresh start pentru un broser modern, ce poate face fata acestor aplicatii.

Printre features anuntate cele care mi-au atras atentia sunt

motorul de randare a paginilor web este Webkit, acelasi care e folosit si in android
stabilitate sporita: fiecarui tab i se aloca memorie independenta, astfel ca daca un website genereaza o eroare doar tabul respectiv va fi afectat
fiecare tab are procesul sau, adica javascript threads independente si multiple
o masina javascript care, zic ei e mai rapid si mai stabil, este un V8 ;)
un sistem nou de management al memoriei, care va preveni supra incarcarea memoriei (vezi Firefox:))
este open-source, adica asa cum am invatat din exemple de succes, va avea in spate o comunitate care va ajuta mult developerii sa optimizeze si sa dezvolte produsul.
va avea un mod pentru private browsing, asemanator celui din Safari
si multe multe altele... abia astept sa il testez

Si nu in ultimul rand, interfata va fi in genul celor realizate de google adica foarte simpla si cu usability mare. Un lucru de remarcat la design, taburile nu vor mai fi asezate clasic ci vor fi asezate deasupra tuturor toolurilor, separand intr-un fel si vizual taburile si mai mult.

Pentru cei care nu au aflat inca portfolios.ro eu un site dedicat designerilor de orice fel - graphic, web, 3d artists - unde isi pot pune lucrarile, gasi joburi etc.
Interfata e reusita, designul e clean, frumos aranjat pe grid, pacat ca e optimizat pentru o rezolutie prea mica.
E un proiect interesant si util, va fi folosit pentru ca era nevoie de asa ceva. E ca un fel de Coroflot sau Carbon made sau intr-un sens mai larg Virb.
Site-ul e dezvoltat de cei de la 2fresh.
