The upcoming iPhone 5 is the next big talk in the world of Apple, and what everyone is waiting for to take on the Samsung Galaxy S3 which is the best from the world of Android. Apple has already confirmed the upcoming availability of the next iPhone in the coming months, but the date still remains in the field of speculation.

However, the new report via App4phone.fr reveals the launch of the date to be 21st November. They fetched this information via large accessory maker for Apple iPhone, which is also from China. The date falls in line with the earlier speculations, but we still don’t that, what this particular date refers to? Is it the launch of the device or unveiling date.

If this is the unveiling date, then the real availability for those looking forward to the phone is little far. We will see how this information turns out in future. Till then, stay in touch.

The upcoming iPhone 5 from Apple will have a smaller dock connector. The information has been making circles in the world of rumors, but this time though the information has surfaced though a credible source.

If the information is indeed true, the current accessories which you might own will become obsolete with the launch of the new iPhone, which is to be released in the holiday season.

Apple has made the iPhone dock connector smaller as it requires more space inside the iPhone 5 casing to accommodate LTE chipset, and also probably include a bigger battery to give more life to handset.

Apple has released the OS X Mountain Lion GM (Golden Master) to developers. The release comes after Developer Preview 4, which was issued a few weeks back, and this current seed can be considered the last testing release before the final release.

This can be drawn from the word GM which means Golden Master release. GM release is the last release version for testing before the final version is released to customers.

With respect to change-log, the details are scarce. The above image is a screenshot of an email which was sent to a developer. Further, we can note the following from the email;

Focus Areas;

Graphics performance and quality

Image & Media importing, editing or viewing

Networking reliability & performance

From a consumer perspective, we can expect to see the final release by the end of July. The availability is likely to be made via iTunes, and also via other mediums.

Apple is suing most of the phone manufacturers in the world of Android. It succeeded in getting a band on Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy Tab 10.1 products but also, lost a case against HTC in European court. The war between Android and iOS is for everyone to see, we think Android definitely copies few elements but it’s not that different for iOS either. That’s just an opinion.

Apple has been sued for Siri in China. Yes, you read it right, the voice-driven virtual assistant. The case has been filled by Zhizhen Network Technology on Siri for having uncanny similarity with their voice assistant app called Xiaoi.

The similarity between Xiaoi and Siri definitely exists, possibly in the user interface. According to the filed case, Apple infringes upon their ZL200410053749.9 patent related to a “type of instant messaging chat bot system”

Zhizhen applied for the Xiaoi patent back in mid 2004 and gained full ownership of it in the early 2006. They also say that the Siri page by Apple was similar to theirs, however Apple pulled it off when it was reported to them.

Apple is finding it hard in China, firstly, the iPad name, then the OS X and now, the shinning Siri. Android is frustrated of iOS, and iOS from China.

Stephen Elop has always been criticized for mismanagement of things in the world of tech blogs. He isn’t a very popular CEO who is often credited for wrong things, rather than creating something substantial for the company that he works for. His actions always favor the company that he worked for (Microsoft) and not the one, he works for (Nokia).

Jean-Louis Gassée, a former Apple executive was hired by Nokia as advisor to the board. He gave an interview to Computing, and revealed that he asked the board members to drop Stephen Elop from the position of CEO, and instead focus on Android OS.

“I told them to drop everything and go Android. Do it in secret and let the rumors fly… I would have used Nokia’s design flare to make very nice phones. I would integrate Ovi [Nokia's app store] into Android and people would say that Nokia sided with the winner.” Jean-Louis Gassée

He further added to the current scenario as,

“I think that Elop will have to go, but I also think that the board also needs to be renewed with people who have an understanding and working knowledge of the mobile industry.”

“He has zero experience in terms of what makes a Smartphone maker tick. And what is his experience in supply chain management? Zero.”

Stephen Elop was heading the Microsoft Office division before bought to Nokia, the board at Nokia thought that they need a person who has expertise in Software and also, understands business. I don’t blame the board for picking Stephen Elop because you can’t be judgmental without knowing a person. What I don’t like is how the board sided with Elop’s decisions.

Everyone in the tech world from bloggers to a common person in the streets could spell out the wrong decisions that he took, yet the board failed to see it. By axing everything that Nokia was standing upon, it made worse for the company. Offcourse! Things weren’t in good shape and going down, but they could have been tackled in a much better way.

Look at the first half of 2011, Nokia announced big plans where it said Symbian will be axed, then why the hell on the Earth I would buy a phone whose manufacturer says the OS running the phone is not good. Then, they announced partnership with Microsoft and major part of the year, they didn’t have any Windows phone to sell.

When they launched the phone, Lumia phones were just a replica of MeeGo. At least, MeeGo had a good camera at back, but Nokia Lumia phones aren’t very good at imaging too.

Instead of scaling to competition and use all the vast resources that Nokia had, it was busy in a restructuring by cutting jobs in thousands. They wanted to be like Apple, but forgot that Apple only does the designing stuff and manufacturing is done by others. I don’t want to spell down the things that already well known to you, if you are reading this.

Apple has finally closed the MobileMe service after warning or say reminding users repeatedly of the dead end ahead in future. The first email on users mailbox started appearing by May 31st.

Apple asked users to move their data to iCloud which is a free service unlike MobileMe. If you go today to MobileMe website, it will show you a banner stating that the site has been closed.

What if you have some data and forgot to act in time? Don’t worry, you can still move your data to iCloud, Apple has given some more time to users who didn’t act in time. So, act now.

If you have any questions related to transformation, Apple has set-up a dedicated stuff to help users. Visit this page to see for more help on the topic.

The next thing to get discontinued is the iWork suite from Apple, which hasn’t taken off. The app has struggled for a period of three and a a half years, and it will axed on coming 31st July. This will be replaced by a newer iWork which has more features.
