Rise and Shine, Beloved...

But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, staying right at the center of God’s love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ. This is the unending life, the real life! Jude 20-21

In a time of vexing trials, darkness, and anxiety, it is so easy to lose sight of what’s most important. It is so easy to be distracted, deterred, and detoured from righteous practices, patterns, and perspective. But don’t let these trying times compel you to cease pursuing HIM that came from Heaven to earth pursuing you.

Stay determined to stay devoted to HIM that is your soul’s deliverer. Daily, let your soul feast on a hearty meal of the Word of God that your faith be fortified. Add to that the powerful practice of praying in the Spirit, yielding yourself to the Spirit’s leading and feeding of your heart, mind, and Spirit. Allowing God to direct you by HIS wisdom and strength.

Keep yourself rooted and grounded in the love of God, unmoved by what the masses are doing, assured and secured by what God is doing. God is love. Those born of HIM have HIS love flowing through them. Let brotherly love continue, love one another as Christ has loved you, despite a growing culture of partisan division and hate. Obey HIS truth because you love HIM so.

The reason you do these things is that you got a living hope in a risen Christ, who was dead, but behold, HE now is alive forevermore. In HIS mercy, HE is coming for you to bring you into HIS eternal presence where you shall forever dwell in everlasting bliss—love, peace, and joy.

Therefore Beloved, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord as you await HIM. Keep looking up, Jesus is coming soon. Hallelujah. To God be the glory…

Trust and obey HIM. Where HE leads, follow, even if it is to a desert place. Don't look at what you don't have, but consider HIM who has you. Offer you and all you have up to HIM. God can turn your wasteland into a wonderland, take a little and bless you a lot, and then take the fragments and make a great feast. Oh taste and see that the Lord is GOoD. More of our children are in an emotional funk, a spiritual slumber, nothing motivates or moves them besides base things. They are not afraid of much of anything and have little regard or respect for any type of authority, or value of the aged. Lord have mercy. Save Jesus, renew hearts and minds towards righteousness. Father forgive us for failing our children, teaching them to value possessions over people, encouraging them to pursue personal happiness even if it hurts others, failing to righteously teach about respecting others, authority, or boundaries, failing at helping them learn self control and righteous sacrifice in serving others, failing at teaching them to know YOU. Be advised. God uses HIS servsnts in different ways, for different seasons, on different levels, to differing degrees. While all have purpose, all may not have the same purpose. Let each discover their own purpose in the Lord and fulfill it for the Lord. Be careful in thinking everyone should be doing what you do, how you do it, where you do it. Let God be God and use HIS people as HE purposes them. Even if it don't make sense to you.

Grandma's Quilt...

She took the broken pieces, some tattered, some torn, some well worn, sewed them together stitch by stitch and made a masterpiece, lovingly and beautifully adorned.

She took her time to get it just right, she sewed and she sewed, both day and night. Her endeavor of love was done with the utmost detail and dexterity, with all her might.

She took the broken pieces, some tattered, some torn, some well worn, sewed them together stitch by stitch and made a masterpiece, lovingly and beautifully adorned.

What I didn't know is that while she did sew, that cover was from an uncovering of her life, the time, the trials, the tears, the troubles, the toil, and the strife.

Whether jubilation or tribulation, it was all a part of her education. The school of life taught her to turn a mess into a blessing and pass on her lessons to the next generation.
