The Vietnamese based news site “Tinh.te” was able to get their hands on the new iPad before the masses, and they’ve posted a video showing it being unboxed.

The man in the video shares his first reaction, and that’s that the new iPad is indeed very similar to the iPad 2, except for being a little thicker and weighing more. This video gives viewers the first hand-on look of the new iPad, and it previews the new and improved Retina Display screen display, the larger camera and new tapered design.

The model in the video is the iPad 16GB WiFi 4G LTE model, and I must say it’s pretty appealing to the eyes. Unfortunately, the whole video is narrated in Vietnamese, so it’s really clear to me what exactly is being said. But after taking a closer look at the video’s comments, it seems fair to say that people are extremely impressed with the new HD Video recorder.

Apple Retail stores are gearing up in preparation for the new iPad which will hit stores on Friday at 8:00 AM.

These dates were leaked out when a new Apple store in Houston posted a sign on their door saying “The New iPad, Available Friday, March 16^th, at 8:00 AM.” In past years, Apple stores didn’t open their doors until late afternoon, so this new morning sales strategy is thought it might help cut down on the chaotic crowds, though I doubt it will make any difference.

While this may be great news for Apple fans that simply can’t wait to get their hands on the new iPad, unfortunately for Apple employees it just means another busy day at the office. Reports suggest that Apple employees will be working overnight tomorrow in order to prepare for the crazy iPad 3 sales rush. At least Apple is paying their employees 10% more wage during this rush… I’m not sure how much more that really ends up being.

New reports from 9to5mac indicate that Sprint may have plans in the near future to offer the new iPad to their customers.

New pictures were leaked from Best Buy’s inventory system and they show new items labeled “SPRINT IPAD NEW”, which would suggest the mobile provider is currently prepping to sell the new 4G LTE based iPad. Of course this isn’t a huge surprise considering that Sprint and Apple have already teamed up to offer the iPhone 4S to their customers.

Most analysts assumed that the absence of Sprint as a carrier of the new iPad was directly due to the company’s unlimited data plans, which could possibly lead to potential data connectivity issues for them.  So if you are a current Sprint customer and loyal Apple fanatic, then rejoice because you may soon be able to get the new iPad on your network.

Months and weeks before Apple officially announced the price of the new iPad, there was a lot of speculation from critics that Apple would probably increase the price due to the more expensive retina display screen.

Fortunately for Apple fans, the new iPad doesn’t come with a higher price tag than previous models. But this isn’t the best news for Apple, especially since the new iPad allegedly costs them over 5% more money to make, which obviously means less profit.

A preliminary breakdown of the new iPad from UMBTechInsights suggests that the 16GB WiFi 4G version costs Apple around $310 to make. New parts like the Retina display, A5X chipset and 4G LTE are more expensive parts from the new iPad than the previous iPad 2 parts.

These costs are only estimates of how Apple really pays for the new iPad. These estimates don’t necessarily account for costs like assembly, building, shipping, marketing etc. It’s not yet clear exactly how much profit Apple makes off of each iPad sale, but I would guesstimate that it’s somewhere between $100-300 dollars per new ipad sold.

While it probably comes to as no surprise to loyal Apple fans, the new iPad pre-orders that began on Wednesday are now completely sold out.

Ever since Apple announced the new iPad on March 7^th during their big media event in San Francisco, the demand for the new iPad has been incredible. Unfortunately for Apple fans, if you have already preordered your new iPad, then you’re probably going be in for a long wait. That is unless you’re willing to get up at the butt-crack of dawn in order to stand in line at your local Apple store.

Apple had this to say in regards to their new iPad demand:
“Customer response to the new iPad has been off the charts and the quantity available for pre-order has been purchased. Customers can continue to order online and receive an estimated delivery date.”

When the iPad 2 officially launched last year around this time, the demand was very similar to this new iPad. Unfortunately, Apple has had problems in the past fulfilling the initial demand of tablets. Customers were sometimes forced to wait weeks or even months to receive their iPad 2’s, and it’s looking like this year is going to be a very similar situation as the last.

The company that made the recent iTether application for iPhone has created a new web based version of their tool. iTether was a tethering app that was included in the iTunes App store for less than 24 hours before it was removed by Apple.

The company was forced to innovate their idea because of the removal, and that exactly what they have done. Tether, the company who made iTether, has just announced an HTML5 based version that allows iPad or iPhone owners to tether their devices without having to download any special application or software.

“It was clear from our initial application iTether, there was enormous demand within the iPhone ecosystem,” said the CEO of Tether. “It was very unfortunate for us that Apple decided to take action against iTether, only 20 hours after we launched. However, this caused us to innovate. Our underlying patent-pending technology behind Tether for iPhone is unlike anything on the market.”

Unfortunately, the iTether software comes with a price tag of $30 a year. You can order it directly from their website at tether.com.

Just incase you missed the whole media hype yesterday over “The New iPad” release, Apple posted the whole thing on their website for you to watch.

The video covers the entire media event from start to end. It shows all of the new features of the new iPad, everything from the retina display screen to the 1080HD camera recorder. It also displayed a really cool new picture editing app “iPhoto“. It’s pretty interesting to see some of the top CEO’s shine on the big stage… especially Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Apple just released a sleek looking yet elegant commercial advertising the highly anticipated “The New iPad”.

Apple always launches commercials and heavy marketing plots every time they release a new iOS device– and The New iPad is no exception! The only thing that I personally found different in this commercial than past iPad commercials is that this particular one seems to focus solely on one thing, the new retina display screen.

“When a screen becomes this good, colors are more vibrant. Words are pin sharp. Everything is more brilliant. Because when a screen becomes this good, it’s simply you and the things you care about. The stunning Retina Display on the new iPad.”

You can bet that within the next coming weeks and months you will start to see a variety of New iPad commercials pop up while watching your favorite shows on TV.

During the media event today, Apple announced they would be launching iPhoto for iPad and it was ready for download. The Cupertino based company has kept to their word, because iPhoto is now officially available for download from iTunes. Apple also announced recent updates for iMovie and Garageband– both of these apps are now updated.

Apple already offers the iPhoto software on MacBooks, but adding it to the new iPad is among the many first. The iPhoto software has the ability to edit photos up to 19 megapixels, pretty amazing.

Finally fans, analysts and critics alike can put all of the iPad 3 rumors to rest.

Unfortunately Apple decided to keep this media event private and will not be streaming it LIVE to the public while it happens. The only way to know what is really going on at the event is to read the live tweets from people who are actually attending the event in San Francisco.
