The service has gotten underway and offers tiers for users looking for something suits your financial means.

The basic Verizon Cloud service will be available with 500 megabyte of free Cloud storage. If you use that up and need something more accessible there is a 25 gigabyte plan for $2.99 a month. Additional services includes a 75 gigabyte plan for $5.99 per month and an ultimate plan for 125 gigabytes for $9.99

Verizon’s Cloud is currently available for iPhone 5 smartphone users.

The latest Apple retail store wasn’t scheduled to open for a hours and had already attracted a line. Some of the people had been in that line for almost 15 hours. As of writing, there were about 30 people waiting for the Rundle Place location’s grand opening. This is the first Apple store they set up in South Australia. It is scheduled to open 10 am Saturday. People had lined up around 8:30 the previous night.

 According to Apple’s website, the Rundle Place Apple Store will have a Genius Bar, in-store workshops, One-to-One service and business-class offerings in addition to free youth programs like Youth Workshops, Field Trips and Apple Camp.

Starting Sunday, Best Buy will be offering $50 off any new iPhone model with a service contract. The upcoming sale is a four week promotion that applies to the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S on Verizon, AT&T and Sprint. The discount doesn’t apply to the iPhone 4 or older models. Though the iPhone 4 is already free with a two-year service contract.

For the duration of the sale the iPhone 4S will be $49, a 16-gGB iPhone 5 is $149 and a 32 GB iPhone 5 is $249 with the high-end 64GB iPhone 5 priced at 349.

Customers will need to buy a new two-year service contract in order to receive the typical handset subsidy and the special discount from Best Buy. Discounts for Apple’s iPhone tend to be infrequent because of Apple’s strict pricing strategy, so get it while you can.

Lab tests comparing the quality and efficiency of camera phones reveals that the iPhone 5 may not be the top of the crop when it comes to smart phone photography.

CNET has a rundown of the stats from the tests conducted at the DxO Labs, where they compared a number of high-end smartphones and scored the results accordingly.

At the top of the list was surprisingly the Nokia 808 Pureview, which managed an impressive 77 out of 100. CNET notes, however, that despite the good score the smartphone itself was hampered by the poorly implemented OS.

Next on the list was the Samsung Galaxy S4, which managed to score an impressive 75 on the chart, just two points behind the Nokia 808 Pureview, and last and least on the list was Apple’s iPhone 5, which managed to under-perform at the 72 mark. Ouch.

Nevertheless, the test results hasn’t really inhibited anyone from using the iPhone 5′s camera, in fact it appears that just the opposite is happening with a lot of consumers more than ready to dive head-first into iPhonography.

The Android version is live worldwide, while the iOS version is available in most countries. New colors have been announced for the iPhone 5S, sort of. Some Apple enthusiast sites have come across a cache of potential new colors leading up to what they believe will be a bona fide September launch.

MacRumors spotted the news from Japanese blogging site, Macotakara, where they state that the iPhone 5S is rumored for test runs this June, July production date and a September launch.

Additionally, Macotakara also states that the iPhone 5S could come in a number of different colors, including navy, gold orange, white, and gray. This means that you could end up with a cheap, convenient iPhone 5-branded mobile smartphone with a color of your choice and the best part about it is that September is really starting to look like a legitimate release window for the handset.

A new app for the iPhone called Montaj lets you record up to 12 clips at 5 seconds each, resulting in a minute of total footage that you can save, edit and share to friends.

CNET did a brief write-up on the new app for the iPhone, detailing how users can easily and conveniently capture, edit and share videos with just a few easy swipes and touch-screen presses.

Apple apparently is allowing German customers to complete purchases on their localized online Apple Store using a Paypal account. They have offered Paypal as an option in the U.S. for both digital consumer sales on iTunes and education customers buying software in volume. However, Apple has never instituted online paying with Paypal.

At the moment it is unclear as to why Apple is changing their methods by enabling the option and why Germany is the test case. The move could signal a staggered worldwide roll-out. But that is mere speculation. Macerkopf.de first spotted the new payment option on the online Apple Store in Germany.

Adding Paypal for online store purchases gives an additional layer of security for shoppers. They no longer have to hand over credit card information to Apple. Instead Paypal will charge your bank account or credit card on file.
