Today went to the Hindi movie 'Prince'. Starring Vivek Oberai.

More or less this movie did the mixing of so many Hollywood films and done like a Rich mixed Rice!..

After interval( here there is no such thing, but they cut and rejoined that 'interval' frame and joined together the first and second part) I slept slightly for 2-3 minutes.. Oh gosh, still I can understand the story flow...

The superman cum spider-man story to Bollywood.

All credits goes to 'Reliance - Big Picture'. Its show time. :)

All we did is spent $10.75 ( saved $1 by getting tickets on theater instead of getting on-line).

Not bad Nightmare.

Will I have a chance to meet her again?

We just returned from customer company after completing the on-site support. I heard a sweet voice as soon as I entered the Hilton Austin Airport. I just throw my vision around the hotel. I saw a lady singing with playing the Piano in the Hilton Bar.

We just filled with the happiness of return and tiredness due to heavy rain in outside. Just entered the 'Starbucks inside the Hilton' and ordered the 'Coffee Macho' and started to listen her singing.. She just started her program and planned to play from 6.30 - 8.30 PM.

After listening the song, I just left that place due to some other works. But I did not forget to collect her business card. Alyse Black have a beautiful voice, not only the voice she too beautiful. She did 2 albums and won first prize for Jazz in world level competition. Thanks to Wikipedia and her personal site.

I missed to take a photo with her. Since I left my personal camera in San Jose itself. I felt guilty for this. :(

அட பாவி என்னத்த கூட்டி கழிச்சாலும், இங்க இத( கட்டுரையின் முதல் 3 வரிய திரும்ப வாசியுங்கள்) சாப்பிட்டா வர்ற காச விட $10 கம்மியாதான் வருதுனு சொல்லிக்கிட்டேன்..

மக்களே, பார்த்துக்கோங்க... இந்த மாதிரி வசதி சென்னைலயும் இருக்கு..

Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap

- Chopped romaine, shaved asiago cheese and Caesar dressing, with grilled chicken breast.

Dinner

Ice Tea + Lemon Slice ( oh my gosh, forgot to tell less or no ice. he filled 3/4 with Ice and remaining with Tea :( )

Chicken Fried steak.

- Made from hand cut Strip Loin, fried golden brown in the Texas tradition. Accomplished by cream gravy.

Dessert : Buttermilk Pie

- An old Southern favorite served with fresh (straw)berries and whipped cream.

In the memory of waking early on next day morning, i reached the bed for 12.40 AM.

For 3.30 alaram ringed to wake-up me. There is so much of pain and tons of remaining sleep, but if i missed the flight, whole plans will be collapsed. Come on Ramesh, Come on Wake-up.. No time to sleep.. I said to myself in order to wake up Ramesh.

For 4.15 AM i get ready to start. And I waked my colleague cum Sr.Design Engineer Mr.R.S.,

I am going with him to customer place reg the Project X.

Sharply the cab came to hotel to drop us in San Jose Airport. Reached the airport in 10 minutes drive and gave some $15 ( minimum scale )

After check-in our luggage in cargo, we went to the boarding place; after the usual checking ( remove your shoes, removes your belt, remove your ...?? what else laptop from its bag and remove the jerkin etc., reached the 'food court' after completing this formalities in 20 minutes.

Welcome to "Burger King". After few minutes looking and discussion decided to buy 2 set of 'Double Crois burger combo' with Coke ( totally $10.58).

The flight started sharply @ 6.30 AM after 5 minutes delay :D

We are traveling in Business Class. No need to say, we had very luxurious hospitality and some more juices and break fast ;)

A cub of fruits, bagel, Omelet with spinach and Apple Juice. That cup of fruits contain 2 circularly sliced orange piece, 5 seedless grape, 2 Strawberry and 2 long piece of papaya. I left the half of omelet and did not interested to ask bagel. Since just 45 minutes back only we finished breakfast in food court ;)

Reached Minneapolis - St. Paul International Airport after traveling 2,069 miles in ~3.30 hours.

After turn on the mobile, in few minutes i got the call from our Indian team. I got a compliant that the porting what you done for Kernel 2.6.31 is not fitted backwardly to 2.6.21 but the previous package is fitting for both like..

Oh man, you are still in office.. Its 11.00 PM there in India. He sent the compile time snap shot in mail. I tried to log-on and answer his question before catch the next flight from here to Austin.

In the mean time i need to finish the Lunch and get the boarding pass for the next flight.. I reached the gate 1.15 hours in advance.

Opened the laptop and connected with the near by hotspot in airport. Hey what the heck its asking? It asked $6.95 to browse per day. I will be there for 15-30 minutes in connected state while there.. For that am i need to pay such amount? Oh no...

I called my man in India and asked him to send the working and non-working package in mail. I shall look at it once I reached room (in Austin)

He realized that I was on traveling. Oh goodness.. I am on the way to 'Food Court' and planned to finish the lunch on time. I got the call from my man again, and he clarified the doubts by telling the sequence after compilation. Also he told he fixed that issue by himself and now it finished the compilation successfully.. What a result.. :)

Finished the call, bought 2 set of fried rice, with spicy chicken as side dish and coke.

After all we reached again the gate C21 40 minutes advance. There is a lot of human heads on waiting. Suddenly the Delta airway boarding receptionist called my colleague by his second name in mic. He went and get the boarding pass for both of us.

:D we are the final members to get the boarding pass so we got the seat in tail end of the flight. Behind us is the 'Rest Room'. Ha ha ha.

In the meantime I called to our office in San Jose and activated the abroad calling facility to my all new Verizon LG - mobile. Its looking cool with flip type.

For 2.35 PM our flight started sharply (with out delay) and reached the Austin Airport after traveling 2,067 miles in 3.30 hours.

Reached the Austin airport and claimed our luggage and took a cab to reach Hilton Hotel in Austin Airport.

We showed the wrong address to the hotel by mistakenly, she(yes lady driver) took some 3 minutes ride to that wrong place. But we realized shortly and informed her that we gave the wrong address and showed the correct one.

She told after waiting 3 hours You guys got my turn and now told its the within the airport hotel; she told even i did not get $3 for this ( but finally she scored $10 from us for the meter reading of $8). Hmm its alright.

Finally we reached the hotel for 5.30 PM ( GMT -6) of Austin time. $190 per day, and for wi-fi free, wired internet costs $9.5 per day. We chose Wi-Fi and entered the room.

Till 8.00 PM we browsed afterwards we were so hungry. We went to the 'Food Court' situated in side the hotel itself.

Ordered Arabiatan Shrimp Pasta & Chicken Pasta with home-made salad and some the server's favourite choice dressing. He told lot of varieties.. none of the names are never heard before. So I left it to server' choice..

For starter he asked the driver what we needed. We told plain water and coke. (oops forgot to tell 'No Ice' )

He brought the drinks with 3/4 of ice cubes.. :(

Ha ha ha . After finishing all with little bit, finished our dinner with Vanilla Latte and Hot Chocolate.

Now its 2.50 AM.. Just now finished the working with one of ~~our~~ Indian team in online... :)

Total distance covered : 3,249 Miles( ~ =5,528.75 Km. )

To disable the screen display power off

When I tried to run a stress endurance testing regarding my project, I got struck with the monitor. It is often getting display powered off.

Normally during the endurance testing, To reactivate the display back to power-on by moving the mouse or pressing any key on keyboard can help.

The real issue in this place is during the display reactivating time, processor's resources will consume some more and the memory too will be taken a little more for few seconds. In generally this change does not exceed the 3 - 7 of the total percentage of resource usage.

This may have a chance to affect the whole testing performance. In order to avoid this we need to disable the display getting powered off.

By googling the answer to do this, I got the answer as a linux command with arguments 'set s disableblank'.

அடடே! - புத்தக விமர்சனம்

பேர் போலவே புத்தகமும் ஒவ்வொரு கார்ட்டூனும் அடடே போட வச்சிட்டு.
ஒவ்வொரு கார்ட்டூனும் ஒரு குட்டி கதை சொல்லுது. மேலோட்டமாக பார்த்தால் அன்றாடம் நிகழ்ந்த நிகழ்ச்சிகளின் தொகுப்பாக இது தெரியும்.

ஆனா பல கார்ட்டூன்கள் காலத்துக்கும் பொருந்தும் திருக்குறளாய் இருக்கிறது.
உதாரணத்துக்கு ஒன்று,

“சரி காஸ் விலையை ஏற்றவில்லை,
பழைய விலைக்கே தருகிறோம்!
ஆனால் இந்த சைஸ்தான் இருக்கும் பரவாயில்லையா?”
(என்று பட்ஜெட்டின் போது நிதியமைச்சர் சொல்லுவதாக கார்ட்டூன் உள்ளது.)

இன்னும் சில ‘நச்’ வகை கார்ட்டூன்கள். உதாரணமாக,

"முந்தாநேத்து ரேஷன் அரிசி விலை உயர்வு!
நேத்து பெட்ரோல், டீசல் விலை உயர்வு!
இன்று மின் கட்டணம் உயர்வு!
இன்னும் உயராதது நம் வாழ்க்கைத்தரம் மட்டும்தான்!”
(என்று ஒரு குடும்பத்தலைவர் தினப் பத்திரிக்கை படித்துவிட்டு குடும்பத்தலைவியிடம் சொல்வதாக கார்ட்டூன் உள்ளது.)

இது தவிர நடு நிலையுடன்அன்றாட அரசியல் நிகழ்வுகளையும் சாடியுள்ளார்.
இவைகளை, அழகாக வகைப்படுத்தி வைத்துள்ளது படிக்க மிக எளிதாக உள்ளது.

புத்தக ஆசிரியர் ‘மதி’ கடந்த 11 ஆண்டுகளாக தின மணியில் கார்ட்டூனிஸ்டாக இருக்கிறார். மேலும் 3000க்கும் மேற்பட்ட கார்ட்டூன்களை தினமணியில் வரைந்துள்ளது ஆச்சரியப்படத்தக்க விஷயம். இவர் நம்ம பக்கத்து ஊர்காரர்(திருநெல்வேலி) என்பதை நினைக்கும் போது இன்னும் பெருமையாக இருக்கிறது.

இவர் 2002 மற்றும் 2005ல் இதே போன்று கார்ட்டூன் தொகுப்புகளை வெளியிட்டுள்ளார். இது தவிர மேலும் ஆறு தொகுப்புகள் ‘அடடே-1’ முதல் 'அடடே-6’ வரை வெளியிட்டுளளார்.

இவருடைய திறமைகள் வெளி வர காரணமாயிருந்த ‘ஆனந்த விகடனுக்கும்’, ஆர்.கே.லக்‌ஷ்மணன் மாதிரி ஒரு சாதனையாளராக வாய்ப்பு கொடுத்த ‘தினமணி’க்கும், கிழக்கு பதிப்பகத்திற்கும் என் மனமார்ந்த வாழ்த்துகள்.

உங்களுக்கும் இந்த புத்தகம் மிகவும் பிடிக்கும் என நினைக்கிறேன்.
இந்த புத்தகம் பற்றியும் இதன் ஆசிரியர் பற்றியும் மேலும் அறிய அடடே! -1

இன்றைய அடடே!

சரி, இப்போ நாம இந்த புத்தகத்தின் சில பல நிறை குறைகளை இங்கு சொல்லி விடுகிறேன்.

~~~~முதலில் நிறைகள்~~~~

#1. மிக அருமையான கார்ட்டூன்கள் :-)
ஒரு கார்ட்டூனோ அல்லது ஓவியமோ வரைய எவ்வளவு மெனக்கிட வேண்டுமென்று என்னைப் போன்றவர்களுக்கு தான் தெரியும். ஆம் நான் கொஞ்சம் சுமாராக வரைவேன். அதுக்கப்புறம் பொறியியல் கல்வி அது இதுன்னு என்னுடைய அந்த திறமையை வளர்க்காமலேயே போயிட்டேன். [;(]

#2. காலத்திற்கும் பொருந்துமாறு அநேக கார்ட்டூன்கள். :-)
’நீ எப்படியும் கார்ட்டூன் போட்டுட்டு போ; நாங்க அப்படித்தான் மாறமாட்டோம்’ என்று கொஞ்சமும் மாறாத அரசியல் வாதிகளும் அவர்களுக்கு வாக்குச் சீட்டிலும் குத்தி பின்னர் முதுகிலும் குத்து வாங்கும் வெகுஜனமும் இருக்கும் வரை பல கார்ட்டூன்கள் காலத்துக்கும் பொருந்தும்.

#3. மிக நேர்த்தியாக வரிசையாக, பொருத்தமான தலைப்புகளில் கார்ட்டூன்களைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து உள்ளமை.

#4. வெறுமனே ரசிக்க மட்டுமல்லாமல் சிந்திக்கவும் வைப்பது.

~~~~இப்பொழுது குறைகள்~~~~

#1. என் வீட்டாரிடம் கொடுத்து படிக்கச் சொல்லி அவர்கள் கருத்தையும் கேட்டபோது, என் தந்தையின் முதல் கருத்தானது, எல்லாம் அன்றன்றைக்கு படிச்சா நல்லா இருக்கும். சரி பாதி கார்ட்டூன்கள் காலாவதியாகி விட்டது என்று சடேரென்று சொன்னார்.

ஹ்ம்ம், கொஞ்சம் யோசித்துப் பார்த்தால் அப்படி கூடத் தோன்றலாம்; ஆனா இது போன்ற ஒரு தொகுப்பை படிக்கும் போதுதான், நம்மை பற்றி நாமே அறிய முடிகிறது.

கடந்த 10 வருடங்களுக்கு முன்னாடி வரைந்த கார்ட்டூன்கள் இன்றைக்கும் நம் அரசியல்வாதிகளுக்கும் பொது மக்களாகிய நமக்கும் எந்த அளவுக்கு பொருந்தி வருகிறது என்று எண்ணி பார்க்கும் போது கொஞ்சம் வெட்ககேடாகத்தான் இருக்கிறது...

#2. இதனை கையடக்க அளவில் வெளியிட்டால் இதே புத்தகத்தை, இதே பக்க அளவில், சரி பாதி விலையில் விற்க முடிந்தால் இன்னும் சிறப்பாக இருக்கும். பார்ப்போம், நம்முடைய இந்த வேண்டுகோளுக்கு நடைமுறைச் சாத்தியம் இருக்கிறதா என்று புத்தக வெளியீட்டாளர்கள் சிந்திப்பார்கள் என்று நினைக்கிறேன்.

Free Memory by dropping caches

To use /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches, just echo a number to it.

To free pagecache: Freeing

# echo 1 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches

To free dentries and inodes:

# echo 2 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches

To free pagecache, dentries and inodes:

# echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches

As this is a non-destructive operation and dirty objects are not freeable, run sync first!

Here are the before and after results from my desktop:

Dilithium develops innovative multimedia infrastructure equipment for mobile, fixed and converged networks. We are looking for a talented R&D engineer to contribute as part of the Advanced Products and Technologies (APT) group. The individual will be part of Dilithium's research and development group and will be involved in developing, analysing and improving media transcoder performance in the Dilithium products for media quality and computational efficiency. The individual will be a technical team lead and will have some oversight responsibilities for other members of APT in India (in differing technical areas). This is a unique opportunity to work on technically demanding projects with tight timescales as part of a highly skilled and innovative team.

Required Skills
Excellent communication skills, particularly written and oral/aural
Excellent C (or C++) programming skills
Ability to design, document, develop and debug complicated algorithms ensuring correctness of operation to specification
Knowledge of embedded systems and/or real time systems
Motivated and substantially self-directed (capable of working undirected for extended periods)
Ability to lead a small team (<5 person) and track and report progress across multiple projects
Exposure to video coding specifications (MPEG4,H.263, H.264)

Desirable Skills

Bliss is the name of a photograph of a landscape in Napa County , California , east of Sonoma Valley . It contains rolling green hills and a blue sky with stratocumulus and cirrus clouds. The image is used as the default computer wallpaper for the “Luna” theme in Windows XP.
The photograph was taken by the professional photographer Charles O’Rear, a resident of St. Helena in Napa County , for digital-design company HighTurn. O’Rear has also taken photographs of Napa Valley for the May 1979 National Geographic Magazine article Napa, Valley of the Vine.
