تعاون جديد بين منصة إستكانة الإلكترونية ومهرجان بانوراما للأفلام القصيرة الدولي

تم توقيع اتفاقية تعاون بين منصة استكانة الإلكترونية و مهرجان بانوراما للأفلام القصيرة في تونس الذي ستقام نسخته العاشرة في تونس بتاريخ 4 إلى 8 فبراير 2025.

تهدف هذه الاتفاقية إلى منح صناع الأفلام المشاركين في المهرجان فرصة عرض أفلامهم القصيرة على منصة إستكانة - المنصة العربية الأولى المهتمة بنشر الأفلام العربية المستقلة حول العالم للتعريف بأعمالهم و بالسينما التونسية المستقلة.

كما وتعتبر هذه الأفلام إضافة نوعية لمكتبة الأفلام المستقلة التي تحتويها منصة استكانة و خاصة لمحبي و متابعي السينما التونسية بشكل خاص والسينما العربية بشكل عام.

تأسس موقع إستكانة في عمان، الأردن سنة 2011 ويعتبر أول وأكبر منصة الكترونية لعرض الأفلام العربية المستقلة الروائية الطويلة والقصيرة والوثائقية.

حققت المخرجة الفلسطينية مي المصري نجاحات متتالية في مجال السينما. تمتد تجربتها السينمائية على مدى أكثر من خمسة وثلاثين سنة وحازت أفلامها على أكثر من مئة جائزة دولية منها: جائزة Mipdoc Trailblazer Award في مهرجان كان في فرنسا (2009) والجائزة الأولى في مهرجان جوائز الشاشة الآسيوية في أستراليا (2007)؛ وجائزة الإنجاز عن مجمل أعمالها في مهرجان الجونة السينمائي الدولي (2019).

Amman International Film Festival Launches Digital Edition using Istikana platform

In its quest to reach the widest audience users, the Amman International Film Festival has contracted Istikana to showcase over 25 films included in the festival this year through its digital platform. These digital screenings offer films from a variety of festival categories including Arab Feature Narratives, Arab Feature Documentaries, Arab Shorts, and International Films.

This new service allows, for the first time in the Middle East, audiences the ability to purchase tickets and watch festival films exclusively through Istikana’s platform online immediately after showing them in cinemas for a limited time.

في سعيها للوصول إلى أوسع شريحة ممكنة من المواطنين والمقيمين في الأردن، تعاقدت إدارة مهرجان عمان الدولي للأفلام مع موقع إستكانة الإلكتروني لعرض بعض الأفلام المدرجة في المهرجان لهذا العام من خلال منصتها الرقمية.

تتيح هذه الخدمة الجديدة ولأول مرة في الشرق الأوسط إمكانية شراء التذاكر ومشاهدة أفلام المهرجان حصريًا عبر موقع إستكانة مباشرة بعد عرضه في صالات السينما ولفترة محدودة.

Palestinian director Najwa Najjar has achieved great success in cinema. Most recently her latest film “Between Heaven and Earth” won the “Naguib Mahfouz” award for having the best screenplay at the Cairo Film Festival. Istikana’s VOD Library Now Available on Sling

Sling customers who are subscribed to the Al Ostoura pack can find the Istikana video-on-demand library within the Sling app, either via the Sling guide or by using the search feature.

Short Palestinian Films by Mahdi Fleifel Streaming on Istikana

Istikana has recently acquired the rights to stream a series of short films by Mahdi Fleifel, a Danish-Palestinian filmmaker and visual artist.

Fleifel’s critically acclaimed films Xenos (2014), A Man Returned (2016), A Drowning Man (2017), I Signed the Petition (2018) and 3 Logical Exits (2020) which have been officially selected to screen at numerous international film festivals globally and won several awards, shed light on the struggles and hardships faced by Palestinian refugees.

“If you put all of my short films together, it feels like one long movie. It’s all part of a bigger world, it’s one body of work,” he said in describing his films, in which he gives war, crisis and economic recession a human face.

Xenos follows two young refugees who venture from Ain El-Helweh refugee camp in Lebanon with smugglers through Syria and Turkey into Greece. Like so many other migrants, they went looking for a way into Europe but found themselves trapped in a country undergoing economic, political, and social collapse. A Man Returned, which won the Silver Bear Jury Prize at the Berlin Film Festival in 2016, has one of the characters from Xenos, Reda, returning to Ain El-Helweh as a drug addict after spending three years in Greece. Meanwhile, A Drowning Man, the only fictional film of the series, focuses on the existential crisis affecting an undocumented migrant in Greece.

I Signed the Petition is a conversation between the director and his friend about the effectiveness and implications of publicly supporting the cultural boycott of Israel. Fleifel is wracked with worry having signed a petition asking Radiohead not to play Tel Aviv, the other is more sanguine. Their conversation offers a glimpse of what it is to be a Palestinian in today’s world. The film won the Best Short Documentary Award at the Amsterdam International Documentary Film Festival in 2018, and was described by the jury as “a film that has simplicity at its heart, in means as well as form. In between the funny, razor-sharp, harsh lines of text, wrapped and constructed along poetic, subjective images and interesting sounds, dooms the filmmaker’s vulnerability and fear over yet again something so seemingly simple: his own signature.”

His latest film, 3 Logical Exits, is a sociological meditation on the different exits that young Palestinians choose, in order to cope with life in the refugee camps.

Born in Dubai, Mahdi Fleifel moved to Denmark in 1988. He currently lives and works between Denmark, England and Greece. A graduate of the UK’s National Film & Television School, he studied Fiction Directing under Stephen Frears and Pawel Pawlikowski. In 2010 he founded the London based production company Nakba FilmWorks with Irish producer Patrick Campbell.

أفلام فلسطينية قصيرة للمخرج مهدي فليفل على إستكانة

حصلت إستكانة مؤخرًا على حقوق عرض سلسلة من الأفلام القصيرة لمهدي فليفل، صانع أفلام وفنان تشكيلي فلسطيني دنماركي.

تلقي أفلام مهدي “زينوس"، و"رجل عاد"، و"رجل يغرق"، و"لقد وقعت على عريضة” و" ثلاثة مخارج منطقية" الضوء على المعاناة والمصاعب التي يواجهها اللاجئون الفلسطينيون، وقد تم اختيارها رسميًا لعرضها في العديد من المهرجانات السينمائية الدولية وفازت بالعديد من الجوائز.

“إذا جمعت كل أفلامي القصيرة معاً، سيبدو الأمر وكأنه فيلم واحد طويل، فكلها أجزاء من عالم أكبر، كأنها عمل واحد،” هكذا وصف مهدي أفلامه التي يعطي فيها الحرب والأزمات والركود الاقتصادي وجهاً إنسانياً.

فيلم “زينوس” (2014) يتتبع إثنين من اللاجئين الفلسطينيين الشباب الذين يغادرون مخيم عين الحلوة للاجئين في لبنان مع مهربين عبر سوريا وتركيا إلى اليونان. ومثل العديد من المهاجرين الآخرين، ذهبوا ليبحثوا عن طريق إلى أوروبا لكنهم وجدوا أنفسهم محاصرين في بلد يمر بانهيار اقتصادي وسياسي واجتماعي. أما فيلم “رجل عاد” (2016)، الحائز على جائزة الدب الفضي في مهرجان برلين السينمائي عام 2016، يتتبع قصة رضا، إحدى الشخصيات من “زينوس"، الذي يعود إلى عين الحلوة كمدمن على المخدرات بعد أن أمضى ثلاث سنوات في اليونان. وفي الوقت نفسه، يركز فيلم "رجل يغرق” (2017)، وهو الفيلم الروائي الوحيد، على الأزمة الوجودية التي تؤثر على المهاجرين غير الشرعيين في اليونان.

الفيلم الرابع “لقد وقعت على عريضة” (2018) هو محادثة بين المخرج وصديقه حول فعالية وآثار الدعم العلني للمقاطعة الثقافية لإسرائيل، حيث يشعر مهدي بالقلق لأنه وقع على عريضة تطلب من فرقة راديوهيد عدم الذهاب إلى تل أبيب، والآخر أكثر تفاؤلاً. وتقدم محادثتهم لمحة عما يعنيه أن تكون فلسطينياً في العالم اليوم. وقد حاز الفيلم على جائزة أفضل فيلم وثائقي قصير في مهرجان أمستردام الدولي للأفلام الوثائقية عام 2018، ووصفته لجنة التحكيم بأنه “فيلم بسيط في الصميم من حيث الوسائل والشكل. من بين النص المضحك والحاد والصور الشعرية والأصوات الشيقة، يظهر خوف المخرج من شيء يبدو بسيطًا للغاية وهو توقيعه”.

فيلمه الأخير، “ ثلاثة مخارج منطقية” (2020)، هو تأمل اجتماعي للمخارج المختلفة التي يختارها الشباب الفلسطينيون من أجل التكيف مع الحياة في مخيمات اللاجئين.

ولد مهدي فليفل في دبي، وانتقل إلى الدنمارك عام 1988. يقيم ويعمل حاليًا بين الدنمارك وإنجلترا واليونان. تخرج من المدرسة الوطنية للسينما والتلفزيون في المملكة المتحدة، ودرس الإخراج تحت إشراف ستيفن فريرز وباول باوليكوفسكي. وفي عام 2010 أسس “نكبة فيلم وركس” وهي شركة إنتاج مقرها لندن مع المنتج الإيرلندي باتريك كامبل.

Captain Abu Raed By Amin Matalqa Streaming on Istikana

Istikana has recently released the feature film Captain Abu Raed, written and directed by Jordanian award-winning filmmaker Amin Matalqa.

Described as “the best picture of the year” by Scott Feinberg, from the Los Angeles Times (The Envelope), Captain Abu Raed was a triumph for the Jordanian film industry, as it was the Kingdom’s first submission to the Oscar’s Best Foreign Language Film category. It went on to win widespread acclaim in 2007 and 2008, winning multiple awards at prestigious festivals including Sundance and the Dubai International Film Festival, among others.

Starring Nadim Sawalha, Rana Sultan, Hussein Al-Sous, Oday Al-Qiddissi, Ghandi Saber and Dina Ra’ad, the film tells the story of a Jordanian airport janitor, Abu Raed, who finds a pilot’s hat in the trash and gets pulled into the lives of the children in his poor neighborhood. What starts as a weekly ritual of storytelling of his “adventures” around the world becomes a catalyst that will forever change the lives of these troubled kids.

Born in Amman, Jordan and raised in the United States, Matalqa received his Master’s degree in Directing from the American Film Institute where he showed great promise as a gifted filmmaker. As a major advocate of Jordanian film, Matalqa makes films about dreamers and unsung heroes, bridging the cultural gaps between East and West.

الفيلم الأردني "كابتن ابو رائد" للمخرج أمين مطالقة على إستكانة

أطلقت إستكانة مؤخرًا الفيلم الروائي الطويل “كابتن أبو رائد” من تأليف وإخراج المخرج الأردني أمين مطالقة على موقعها.

“كابتن أبو رائد” الذي وصفه سكوت فاينبرغ من صحيفة لوس أنجلوس تايمز بأنه “أفضل فيلم لهذا العام"، كان انتصارًا لصناعة السينما الأردنية، حيث كان أول فيلم تختاره المملكة ليمثلها في فئة أفضل فيلم بلغة أجنبية لجوائز الأوسكار، كما حصل على شهرة واسعة في عامي 2007 و 2008، وفاز بعدة جوائز في مهرجانات مرموقة مثل مهرجان صندانس السينمائي الدولي ومهرجان دبي السينمائي الدولي، وغيرهما.

يروي الفيلم قصة عامل بسيط في المطار، يسرد لمجموعة من أطفال الحي الشعبي الذي يقطنه مغامراته كطيار سابق في أرجاء العالم، لكن أبو رائد الذي يطلق عليه الأطفال اسم الكابتن استطاع أن يمضي في حكاياته المثيرة للأطفال والفتيان مستلهمًا أجواءها من الكتب القديمة التي تحتل ركنًا داخل بيته. ومن خلال هذه الحكايات والمغامرات نكتشف أحلام هؤلاء الأطفال وأحلام أبو رائد، ومعاملته لجيرانه وزملائه في العمل، ومساعدته لهم في حل مشاكلهم.

الفيلم من بطولة نديم صوالحة ورنا سلطان وحسين الصوص وعدي القديسي وغاندي صابر ودينا رعد.

ولد أمين مطالقة في الأردن وترعرع في الولايات المتحدة، وحصل على درجة الماجستير في الإخراج من المعهد الأمريكي للأفلام حيث أثبت أنه مخرج موهوب. وكمدافع رئيسي عن الفيلم الأردني، يخرج أمين أفلامًا عن الحالمين والأبطال المجهولين، ويعمل على سد الفجوات الثقافية بين الشرق والغرب.

Short Palestinian Films By Farah Nabulsi Streaming On Istikana

Istikana has recently acquired the rights to stream a series of short films by Farah Nabulsi, a Palestinian British filmmaker and human rights advocate.

Her films Nightmare of Gaza, Oceans of Injustice and Today They Took My Son have been officially selected to screen at international film festivals around the world and her novel, storytelling approach has been endorsed by the likes of American Philosopher Noam Chomsky, Palestinian Legislator and Scholar Dr Hanan Ashrawi, Australian Journalist John Pilger and others.

Nabulsi’s first film Oceans of Injustice sheds light on the gross injustice that has been perpetuated against the Palestinian people for decades.

In describing the film, Dr Hanan Ashrawi wrote: “I heard and I watched and I’m deeply moved—touched to the core. The word, the image, the idea, and the emotion are all so compelling and genuine.”

Also on the topic of the endless suffering endured by Palestinians, Today They Took My Son tells a heart-wrenching story of a mother’s loss, trying to cope with her young son being taken away by a military system. The film was shot in Lebanon as the director was not allowed to enter Palestine by the Israelis.

Described as “poetic and powerful” by Roger Waters, musician and co-founder of Pink Floyd, Nabulsi’s “Nightmare of Gaza” is a haunting, abstract and experimental narrative of a woman in the streets of Gaza surrounded by the devastation after the bombs have stopped.

On her website, Farah Nabulsi has stated that arts play a crucial role in changing the world and believes film precedes them all. It gives voice to the silenced, thereby helping build the empathy and understanding needed to effect change.

أفلام فلسطينية قصيرة للمخرجة فرح نابلسي على إستكانة

اكتسبت إستكانة مؤخراً حقوق عرض سلسلة من الأفلام القصيرة لمخرجة الأفلام الفلسطينية والمدافعة عن حقوق الإنسان فرح نابلسي.

تم اختيار أفلامها “كابوس غزة” و"محيطات الظلم" و"اليوم أخذوا ولدي" رسميًا لعرضها في المهرجانات السينمائية الدولية، وأشادت عدة شخصيات بأسلوبها الروائي لسرد القصص مثل الفيلسوف الأمريكي نعوم تشومسكي والسياسية الفلسطينية الدكتورة حنان عشراوي والصحفي الأسترالي جون بيلجر وغيرهم.

يسلط فيلم فرح الأول “محيطات الظلم” الضوء على الظلم الفادح الذي يمارس ضد الشعب الفلسطيني منذ عقود. وفي وصف الفيلم، كتبت الدكتورة حنان عشراوي: “سمعت وشاهدت وتأثرت بعمق - تأثرت بالجوهر. الكلمة والصورة والفكرة والعاطفة كلها مقنعة وصادقة.”

وفي سياق موضوع معاناة الفلسطينيين التي لا نهاية لها، يروي فيلم “اليوم أخذوا ولدي” قصة أم تحاول التأقلم مع اعتقال ابنها الصغير من قبل نظام عسكري وعجزها في منع المعاملة القاسية وغير الإنسانية التي تعرف أنه يعاني منها. وقد اضطرت المخرجة لتصوير الفيلم في لبنان حيث لم يسمح لها الإسرائيليون بدخول فلسطين.

أما فيلمها الثالث “كابوس غزة” الذي وصفه الموسيقي روجر ووترز، أحد مؤسسي فرقة بينك فلويد الإنجليزية، بأنه “شاعري وقوي” فهو رواية مأساوية وتجريدية عن امرأة تمشي في شوارع غزة المحاطة بالدمار بعد توقف القصف.

ذكرت فرح نابلسي على موقعها الإلكتروني أن الفنون تلعب دوراً حاسماً في تغيير العالم وتعتقد أن الأفلام أكثرها أهمية، فهي تعطي صوتًا للذين أُجبروا على الصمت مما يساعد على بناء التعاطف والتفاهم اللازمين لإحداث التغيير.
