Many women invest in expensive creams, lotions, potions and even cosmetic procedures on their face while ignoring the decollete and chest area.   Currently, it is a personal pet peeve that some bloggers choose to write only favorable reviews. I perceive this behavoir as entirely offensive due to the absurdity connected with the idea that every product (especially cosmetics for women???) would appeal to everyone.

 I threw caution to the wind because I was very impressed with the professionalism of the woman behind the request, as well as the full service offering of related products, mineral makeup education, companion cosmetic brushes and an appealing website.

   I had a Kabuki brush in my cosmetic bag although I paid MUCH more for mine than the comparable brush available on LushBrush.com where you can also purchase Erth Minerals.

  I decided to use all Erth products for two consecutive weeks. To my the delight, the foundation shades adjusted several levels to accommodate my deeper skin tone which was a big plus. My foundation preference is a dewy finish which cannot be achieved with just the mineral Foundation however once I brushed the Glow on top, it was closer to the look I prefer except too labor intense and sheer for me. At the end of two weeks, I noticed my skin appeared dry and was flaky in some areas. Minerals of any sort have not suitably performed on my specific skin type in the past, so I am not faulting this product.

  No Problem…

  I passed the products over to my daughter for review. She enjoyed wearing the Minerals 2.0 and Petal for the natural, fresh look of very little makeup with the added benefit of a 15spf for daytime. She loves the Eye Cream due to it’s non creasy and weightless feeling  unlike any she has tried in the past. She continues to wear the Glow Erth Minerals over a tinted moisturizer and finishes with a light dusting of Moth Veil to create a genuinly flawless look for evenings out. She plans on purchasing both on a regular basis and is anxious to try shadows in the future.

  3. White Eyeliner Pencil/Shadow – Why?

• A white liner pencil/shadow on the inner bottom lid will give make your eyes appear whiter, brighter and larger.

• My favorite is a gel white eyeliner pencil with the ease of a retractor.

  4. Eye Whitening Drops – Why?

  5. Contact Lenses – Why?

I am not recommending that you run out and purchase contact lenses if you do not require your vision corrected, you may want to consider these lenses for pure cosmetic enhancement. Compliments galore will come your way!

•  Allure/Equinox contact lenses by Marietta vision, come complete with what I refer to as semi permanent Iris Eyeliner on the lens. This circle appears to look like eyeliner will enhance the color of your iris and make the whites of your eye appear much whiter and brighter. The deep black small lines around the contact lens are called a “Limbal” ring.

  Begin with a safe and healthy self tan followed by a few simple tips that will springboard you on your way to fabulous this summer.

Looking and feeling your best doesn’t need to break the bank. Oftentimes, it will only take a couple of low cost cosmetics and beauty regimens to arrive at a brighter and more youthful appearance.  In fact, you may consider subtracting makeup that you deemed necessary in the past when putting your best face forward daily.

1. Never underestimate concealing your way to a flawless finish. A white concealer can easily be blended with your foundation to give you a fully customized color specifically for your skin. Take a small amount of the white concealer and blend it to approximately two shades lighter than your foundation. Dot a small amount of your blended concealer on any brown, green or red spots that need concealing. Use a small brush to stipple your way to blending perfection. Use a more generous amount of concealer under your eyes, let it set and access if you require second layer. This artistic technique of camouflaging your skin imperfections promises to add to the mystery of your age.

2. Throw away the Powder!  Move on to a lighter cream foundation that promises to give you a natural youthful glow. The dewy luminous look of a creamy foundation will make you appear radiant.
As you age, powder tends to accumulate in crevices (wrinkles) that results in the appearance of looking dull, matte and tired. Powder also stops light dead in its tracks and offers no hope for the desired end result of a soft sheen. Release the powder and watch the compliments come your way.

While I was shopping at the mall last week-end for my 4th pair of

It’s time to hit my Halloween Box and resurrect those lovely treasured garments with
Shoulder Pads.

Shoulder Pads are back on the Runway for Fashion Week in an exaggerated way up to 2 inches thick. It is suggested to start small and work you way up as confirmed by The Huffington Post.

It is my opionion that I have been there…done that and I have vowed to never say never again because each and every time it bites me…you know where.

True Story! and fresh in my mind.

My good friend, professed back in October 2007 that she would never be seen in a pair of leggings again while I stood in front of her in my Dress with leggings. Made me feel pretty!

In late January 2009, we enjoyed our annual Girl’s Trip to Florida where my friend went so far as to foreworn me that she would be fashionably stepping out in her “new style” which would include leggings. She promptly followed her statement by refreshing my memory that she remembered saying the “Never” word to me and would glady eat her mistake.

Shoulder Pads make me smile because the Eighties were a crazy, very busy and FUN time in my life. Fond memories that were full of family, friends, parties, hot tubs and lots of subdivision chatter. This can be confirmed by me looking into my extremely valuable storage space that is adorned with a large box (labeled Halloween) full of garments from that decade. Rest assured that I will buy more!

Kidding sort of BUT instead a brisk 6:00am hour long walk with three of my friends all chatting away while solving not only our problems but also the worlds.

After clearing my head, I walk up my driveway, through the front door and arrive back into my office (home), follow it up with Coffee and “GMA” (Good Morning America) as I begin my day in front of my computer and my work day generally ends on the computer.

I have been struggling with my weight since I quit smoking 18 months ago which is often a HUGE source of frustration because I MISS MY CLOTHES and pride myself in being able to exercise self control!  UGH!

AH HA MOMENT!

My next thought was to start a Facebook group of other women (men too) that are having the same problem because they sit daily in a situation of very little accountability and could use the support within that environment. The excitement of launching such a group is building in me when on “GMA” Dr. Oz appears with his winning personality and matter of fact words of wisdom regarding being beautiful and fit.

He met with the men first, addressing the Top 5  issues that will age you . I believe these are are equally important factors for women to be aware of as well :

1. Blood Pressure – Go get yours checked!

2. Belly Fat – Dr. Oz’s words not mine! He went onto say that your waist size should be no more than half of your height. Such a simple idea that is an easy to track goal !

3. Stress – We all know that it is a killer and seems to lurk around every corner.

4. Smoking – I thank God and pat myself on the back that I QUIT! Feel free to ask me how because I loved smoking when I quit.

5. Eating Bad Food – In my book, this is the toughest one to control. Time for a food diary for this girl.

I personally embrace the belief of a “NO DIETS” policy. I know from my own past successful experience that I will only achieve my goal if I take a life change approach for the better, healthier, fit me.

Time to Face the fact that a self proclaimed fashionista determines her own wants, needs and desires and rest assured age doesn’t play a factor.

My premier gift recommendation this season deserves a bit of a prelude or more like a story. When I launched my first blog, I was clueless about all aspects of blogging except the products I wrote about.
