Chandni Chowk To China is a Bollywood film slated for release on 16th January 2009. It will be directed by Nikhil Advani and stars Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles, with Bollywood veteran Mithun Chakraborty and Hong Kong veteran Gordon Liu also playing important roles. The film is the first Bollywood film to be shot in China. This is Warner Bros. Pictures's second Bollywood film, Saas Bahu aur Sensex (2008) being the first.

The phone also has an accelerometer, a widget-friendly OS, a still and videocamera and a 3.5 inch screen.

But other analysts don't think the phone will do much to help Nokia avoid what's expected to be a 1% to 9% industry-wide decline in sales next year.

"[Nokia] tried to cram in lots of different technologies such as a touch screen, full qwerty keyboard and plenty of memory, but it had to make trade-offs in its size and features," CCS Insight's Research Director Ben Wood told Reuters. "It has ended up with a relatively thick device that lacks some of the benchmark features expected in flagship products in mid-2009."

Said Gartner analyst Carolina Milanesi: "It might give Nokia a little edge, but it's six months until this reaches the market."

Life in South Africa has been lived somewhat under the shadow of HIV/AIDS for over a decade now. Conservative statistics put us as having 5.5 million people infected with the virus, which is about 16% of the amount of people infected world-wide. As a result of the pandemic we sit with an ever rising number of orphans, currently at about 1.4 million. And so today my blog post is a call to prayer. Won’t you stop for a second and direct some pray towards the following issues:

The rate at which the virus is spreading: Pray that God will intervene here.
The availability of medication: Less than a quarter of those infected in South Africa have adequate access to the right medication.
Child-headed homes: As more and more parents succumb to the virus, more and more children are having to take over headship of households looking after even younger children
Abstinence as a solution: Pray that people we see abstinence amongst the un-married as real solution and not something to be scoffed at.
Faithfulness as a solution: Pray that married couples would be faithful to one another throughout their marriage.
Discrimination: Pray against the terrible discrimination that some face after being diagnosed with the virus.
The orphan crisis: Pray that God would raise up emergency parents, foster parents and even parents willing to adopt.
Pray for our churches: Pray that the redemption they have received in Christ will flow out into acts of love and kindness towards those infected.

A young man identified as Rahul Raj on Monday opened fire in a Mumbai BEST bus. The gunman wanted to give a strong message to the MNS chief Raj Thackeray for his ongoing attack against the North Indian community living in Mumbai especially Biharis.

The incident took place in a double-decker BEST bus carrying a registration number 332.

The gunman sustained serious injuries during the cross firing and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. However, he succumbed to the injuries later.

In his last statement recorded in the hospital, the 23-year-old boy revealed that he was from Patna and wanted to give Raj Thackeray a strong message.

“The man fired at the police in ‘Bail’ bazar area of Kurla and was shot in retaliatory fire,” Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime), Rakesh Maria said.

Giving more details, he said that the gunman wanted to take the bus passengers hostage and “this is being verified.”

A man was killed in police firing in Mumbai on Monday, when he tried to hold a BEST bus captive. According to eyewitnesses, the man was carrying a revolver and he threatened to hijack the bus. He reportedly fired shots at two people..

AN UNIDENTIFIED man opened fire in a BEST bus in Mumbai on Monday (October 27) morning, while he tried to hold the passengers captive. The attacker was killed in police firing but before being hit, he injured two people in the bus no 332, plying on the Andheri-Kurla route.

Eyewitnesses said that the attacker was carrying a revolver and he threatened to hijack the double-decker bus, travelling at that time from Andheri to Kurla.

He also fired shots at the bus conductor and a passenger, when they tried to intervene.

He said that he had come from Patna and wanted to send a message to Raj Thackeray, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) supremo.

When police asked the unidentified attacker to surrender, he refused, forcing the police to take action. An eyewitness said that four shots were fired by the policemen of which two hit the attacker and he was grievously injured. He was taken to a hospital in Ghatkopar, where he breathed his last.

The festival of Dhanteras falls in the month of Kartik (Oct-Nov) on the thirteenth day of the dark fortnight. This auspicious day is celebrated two days before the festival of lights, Diwali .

How to Celebrate:

Dhanteras is spent in worshipping Lord Yama – the god of death – to provide prosperity and well being. It is also the day for celebrating wealth, as the word ‘Dhan’ literally means wealth and ‘Tera’ comes from the date 13th. People flock to the jewelers and buy gold or silver jewelry or utensils to venerate the occasion of Dhanteras.

Legend behind the Festival:

An ancient legend ascribes the occasion to an interesting story about the 16 year old son of King Hima. His horoscope predicted his death by snake-bite on the fourth day of his marriage. On that particular day, his newly-wed wife did not allow him to sleep. She laid out all her ornaments and lots of gold and silver coins in a heap at the entrance of the sleeping chamber and lit lamps all over the place. Then she narrated stories and sang songs to keep her husband from falling asleep.

When Yama, the god of Death, arrived at the prince’s doorstep in the guise of a Serpent, his eyes were dazzled and blinded by the brilliance of the lamps and the jewelry. Yam could not enter the Prince's chamber, so he climbed on top of the heap of gold coins and sat there the entire night listening to the stories and songs. In the morning, he silently went away.

Thus, the young prince was saved from the clutches of death by the cleverness of his new bride, and the day came to be celebrated as Dhanteras. It is also know as ‘Yamadeepdaan’ as the ladies of the house light earthen lamps or ‘deep’ and these are kept burning throughout the night glorifying Yama, the god of Death.

Most of us use the free networking site orkut.We make new friends,get in touch with old friends & share special moments through photos and videos,help each other out in several ways.
From the moment the Orkut was invented,it has constantly developed a lot,both in terms of security and user interface.
