The challenges we face are multifaceted and require immediate intervention from the government to mitigate the adverse impact on our people.

First and foremost, the economic conditions in our community have deteriorated significantly. Unemployment rates continue to rise, leaving many of our people without a means of sustaining themselves and their families. The high cost of living further exacerbates their plight, as essential goods and services have become increasingly unaffordable. Citizens are struggling to afford necessities such as food, housing, and healthcare, which has led to a decline in their overall well-being and quality of life.

Additionally, the security situation in our communities has become a cause for grave concern. Incidents of violent crimes, including robbery, kidnapping, and assaults, have instilled fear and anxiety among our citizens. The lack of effective law enforcement and security measures has left our communities vulnerable to lawlessness and has significantly impacted the safety and peace of mind of our people.

Moreover, essential infrastructure and social services in our community are in dire need of improvement. Access to quality education, healthcare, and public utilities is often inadequate, further hindering the ability of our citizens to thrive and prosper.

The Asiwaju coalition of Yoruba Youths implores the government to take immediate and decisive action to address these pressing issues. It is paramount that our community receives targeted support and intervention to relieve the hardships faced by our citizens.

In light of the foregoing, we urge the government to undertake the following measures:

1. Implement robust economic stimulus programs to spur job creation and alleviate the financial burden on our citizens.

2. Strengthen law enforcement and security infrastructure to ensure the safety and protection of our communities.

3. Enhance access to essential services, including education, healthcare, and social support programs.

4. Initiate substantial investments in the development and maintenance of critical community infrastructure, including transportation, utilities, and public amenities.

The Asiwaju coalition of Yoruba Youths is committed to collaborating with the government to implement lasting solutions that will uplift and empower our community. We stand ready to work alongside government officials in a spirit of cooperation and collective endeavor to bring about tangible improvements in the lives of our citizens.

We implore the government to give urgent attention to these critical issues and take proactive steps to address the hardships facing the citizens. Together, we can build a brighter and more prosperous future for our community.

Yours faithfully,

Ayinde Akorede Abduljaleel

(National Coordinator)

Asiwaju Coalition of Yoruba Youths

20th February, 2024.
ALLISAYhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13495332804256254589noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3884466764520066864.post-22565793306505670862024-02-06T18:00:00.004+01:002024-02-06T22:44:23.371+01:00TWINS TOURISM SET TO STAGE IBADAN TRAVEL AND TOURISM EXPO 2024
The Most Famous Twins in African Tourism and Initiators of Twins Tourism, Ambassadors Taiwo and Kehinde Oguntoye are set to stage the maiden edition of Ibadan Travel and Tourism Expo (ITTE) 2024 at the ancient city of Ibadan.

The Ibadan Travel and Tourism Expo scheduled for April 22nd and 23rd 2024 will also feature as the 10 years anniversary of quality tourism broadcasting of their popular weekly travel and tourism magazine radio show known as “Travel with the Twins”.

According to the release by the Oguntoye Twin brothers, “ITTE 2024 is a 2-day international travel roadshow platform that aims to drive the sustainable tourism sector by bringing together buyers, consumers, airlines, travel techs, tourism/travel service providers, hospitality value chain, influencers and the media to review, network and discuss sustainable tourism development and trade in the travel industry.

The Ibadan born tourism twins which are the first twins in the world to be honored by the world busiest and most travelled international airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, USA further stated that “The Ibadan Travel and Tourism Expo is set to Unplugging the largest city in Sub-Sahara Africa for tourism kickstart and opening up the abundance of tourism opportunities to the untapped markets in Oyo State and South Western Nigeria for and to international and domestic buyers and sellers”.

ITTE 2024 with the theme “Tourism Kickstart: Maximizing Tourism Opportunities for Sustainable Development in Nigeria” is expected to welcome about 3000 attendees over two (2) days and will feature activities ranging from The Tourism Roundtable, The Premier Tourism Awards/ Dinner, 10 Years Anniversary of ‘Travel with the Twins’ Radio Show, Young Professional Forum, Fam City Tour among others.

Oguntoye Twins however stated that “ITTE is privately driven with sponsorship and partnership options available in different categories with different negotiable costing as terms and conditions apply to all. Plan Your Meals

Strategic Meal Planning: Begin by planning your meals for the week. This helps you buy only what you need, reducing waste and impulsive purchases. Look for recipes that use similar ingredients to maximize the use of everything you buy.

2. Embrace Whole Foods

Go for Whole, Unprocessed Foods: Whole foods like grains, beans, and fresh produce are often cheaper than processed diet foods. They're cost-effective and healthier, offering more nutrients and fewer additives.

3. Buy in Bulk

Bulk Buying Benefits: Shapeshift Fitness says Purchasing items like rice, beans, nuts, and seeds in bulk can save money in the long run. According to Arise TV, she said such support goes a long way in serving as lifeline to those struggling to make ends meet, while enhancing the overall well-being of individuals and families.

The transformative impact that MSMEs can have on the lives of the vulnerable ones in our society, she explained, cannot be overemphasized, considering the fact that enterprises are the bedrock of our economy.

Mrs Tinubu said MSMEs play a crucial role in fostering inclusive growth and providing tangible benefits to those who need it most, especially women and persons with disability.

She added that small scale businesses provide a platform for economic empowerment of those with limited resources who can become self-reliant entrepreneurs when equipped with skills and a supportive environment.

Her words: “It is in this regard, the rebranding of the three components of this programme is significant. Thus, Tradermoni (now rebranded Owo Oja or Olilanya Ndi Nagbambo or Tallafin Sana’a); Farmermoni (now rebranded Owoagbe or Olilanya Ndi Oru Ugbo or Tallafin Manoma); and Marketmoni (now rebranded Iyaloja or Nne Ahia or Agajin Yan Kasuwa).

“These rebranding drums home, especially among the womenfolk including traders and farmers, a deeper understanding and actual implication of the programme in our native languages.

“As I was informed that one of the strategic components of the Federal Government’s National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) is the Rebranded and Expanded Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP), this Programme is expected to focus, among others, on offering interest and collateral-free loans to small scale entrepreneurs thereby providing financial inclusion and enabling individuals with limited resources to access much-needed capital for entrepreneurial endeavors.

“This democratization of financial resources helps break down barriers and empowers the poor to participate actively in economic activities”.

Expressing reservation about traditional loans from commercial banks, she said such loans often come with high interest rates and stringent requirement for collateral, making it challenging for those with limited assets to secure funds.

According to her: “Eliminating these barriers, through Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) programs create a more accessible and supportive environment for individuals to start and expand their businesses.

“Such financial support enhances the overall sustainability of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Small businesses often face cash flow challenges, and the absence of exorbitant interest rates ensures that entrepreneurs can invest profits back into their businesses, fostering growth and resilience. This, in turn, contributes to job creation and economic stability within communities.

“My words of advice to those who might secure interest and collateral free loans through this Programme is that you should plan wisely, exercise financial discipline in managing the funds, invest strategically, be committed to repayment agreement, and be flexible to be able to navigate the dynamic business landscape.

“It is on this note, I hereby flag-off the Renewed Hope Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Programme to the glory of God, and wish you all a successful participation in the scheme. May all those who participate in the scheme prosper in their various business ventures”, she said.

Earlier in her speech, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betta Edu, said the Market-Moni scheme targeted at one and a half million beneficiaries across various states in the country would cover all the 109 senatorial districts.

She said one major market from each of the senatorial districts would be chosen, adding that each beneficiary would receive interest and collateral free loans of N50,000 after registration.

According to her: “We are at a point to lift 50 million Nigerians out of poverty. They will be registered in the market. Their BVN will also be registered in the market….It is taking governance to the people.

“As soon as they register, a loan of N50,000 will be given to them, to use it for their businesses. The target for this is 1.5 million Nigerians that will benefit. We have other programmes that are within that bracket. Some of them are special projects targeted at Nigerians.

“I must say that Mr President is in a hurry to change Nigeria for better within the next one year. Other projects include the N-Power projects, the home-grown school feeding projects, the new special vehicle which is the End-Hunger project, by the Grace of God the President will be flagging that off next month, etc.

“Beyond this, we are going to also launch other projects that will help young people to get coding skills. We have several other projects.

“There are several interventions. We are dealing with multi-dimensional poverty so that at the end, we would have a nation that is strong under God, that its citizens will beat their chest and say indeed I am proud to be a Nigerian, and the Renewed Hope has truly come”, she said.
ALLISAYhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13495332804256254589noreply@blogger.com0
