So I've been a loyal subscriber of Lootcrate, a monthly subscription box that caters to the gaming (nerdy/geeky) community. Ohmigawd. It's been an eventful year for me. I've been MIA for literally a year since I got hired from my recent job. I thought I could do this blogging thing on the side but when you stare at a computer for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, it takes a toll. There were weeks that my computer ever got booted. It was exhausting just looking at it.

Eventually, the work got easier, nights became quieter and I felt the itch to get back into things. I kept documenting by photograph but they just stayed hidden in my phone. I stashed old tickets, brochures from places I've been but yet that also stayed hidden, almost forgotten. So, I've decided to re-open my life. I decided that this year will be my most pro-active of them all. I am currently on a Ketogenic diet, in the process of revamping my Youtube account and being more active on my blog.

So, here's to a New Year and this is the recap of my 2014.

I have yet again to fail on updating my blog (in reasons which I will cover in the following days) but to keep the appearance of consistency, here's what I've been ogling at for the past week.

I've been dreaming to replace my stolen 3DS which I have yet to tell my parents. I saw this beauty was being released and proceeded to get angry because of Nintendo's Region Lock. WHY NINTENDO?! you'll get so much money if you stop picking favorites and release all your colorful consoles to the rest of the world!

I received the Resvology Age Corrective Eye Cream. The application was very smooth. You really only have to pump once to get enough for both eyes which is pretty incredible because this little thing could last awhile! Although I wasn't consistent on applying it everyday, I did notice a significant softness around my eye area. Also as you can see below, the area around my eye has started to get lighter.

Trip Down Digital Lane!

Do you hoard digital pictures on your phone because you're too lazy to upload it into your computer? Well, join the club! I have spent all weekend going through three cellphones (two old ones) just to see what kind of pictures I have just stored in secrecy. Little did I know I'd get warped into a whirlwind of emotions and nostalgia. I literally found myself laughing and almost crying just by the amount of memories I had almost forgotten!

Here's some of the random ones I had found and had struck me with the most emotions.

Independence Day Weekend 2013. It was the first 4th of July without my family but the first with my boyfriend's. They always celebrated at their grans beach house and I must admit, it was a lot relaxing.

San Diego Comic Con 2012 had just ended and we found our way back to the pier. My feet was throbbing and my stomach was churning but seeing this majestic ship distracted me from all of it.

Yearly Fair West Palm Beach, FL. I never really thought I had a fear of heights until our carousel was stuck 24623 feet from the ground for 15 minutes!

I have about 11347 or so shots of this same spot. I am in love with how the moonlight is peaking through my blinds every single night.

5th year anniversary with my boyfriemd. We didn't have a car but managed to get to Miami and had lunch by the ocean which is one of my go-to spots.

Oregon Zoo winter of 2012. I was giving two of my friends from Florida a tour of the Pacific Northwest and just had to show them Polar Bears!

11th Quarter Midterm hustle. I miss seeing the line of computers back to back and their cords almost tripping every passerby. My batch was definitely the best crew to graduate with.

End of the line, graduatees celebration at my old Library job. My boss has this creepy sculpture of Pikachu that would always scare every patron that'd come in.

If you want a trip down memory lane, there's nothing better than old phones. I know I'll definitely have to transfer pictures immediately before tomorrow comes because it'll be there forever!

Review: Born Pretty!

I first stumbled on the Born Pretty website when I started noticing their ads on some of my favorite bloggers. When I finally checked their page out, I was surprised by how cheap their items were. Normally that would raise some kind of an internal alarm but after reading a bunch of reviews from other companies and bloggers, I decided to give them a try. I found myself already saving numerous items on my wishlist so when I had an opportunity to review an item from their list of choices, I jumped right in.

I decided to try out their Fashion Popular Lip Candy Color Lipstick (that's a mouthful!) because I've been seeing a trend of Nail Polish reviews about the company. So I decided to go a different direction...and I also needed new lipstick.

When I opened the package I immediately noticed that the lipstick that I ended up getting was a bit orange. I stared at it for about 5 minutes telling myself over and over that 'I swear I ordered the red'. Whatever, it's a lipstick and i'll review it regardless!

My package also came with a surprise which I hear they almost always do for their orders. I got a simple but cute retractable pen. I thought it was a nice touch of appreciation for their customers and almost immediately won my heart!

Regardless of the color, the lipstick was very smooth. The color was very pigmented and lasted for almost three hours and as it faded, my lip somehow turned a shade darker.

Review: BA STAR Makeup

I recently partnered up with BrandBacker and found BA STAR through their program. BA STAR is a performance makeup company for cheerleaders, dancers and for anyone with the love of glitter!

I was sent the Zebra Lip Gloss Super Sparkle which I couldn't find an individual link of on their website. I believe it's part of a duo lip gloss set as linked.

Nevertheless the packaging is very cute yet simple. When I first opened the package I'll be honest and say I didn't know it was lip gloss because of the lack of labels. Call me old school but I need to know what I'm about to put on my face.

Upon opening the tube, I was met with a wonderful scent of bubblegum. Although the gloss itself didn't taste like one, it smeared very smooth and not too glittery. Gloss in my opinion, always made me look younger so I was thankful that it was subtle after just one swab. I wore the gloss all day and it didn't stain or wear off to a point that I had to take it off myself (lol).

Pacific Northwest: Newport Bound!

I am excited to share probably my favorite place in the whole world. I know that's a pretty strong statement considering I have yet to go to Scotland or Greece (or pretty much my whole "Wanderlust" album on pinterest...) but that's besides my point. I have been visiting Newport, Oregon every year for almost six years now with my family and our friends. Even though we go to the same place, stay at the same hotel and do the same activities, I somehow still find something new.

I will take you through what we often do, give and take a couple of new things since most of the teens are a bit grown-up.

We always stay at Embarcadero Resort Hotel and Marina because they have a private dock for fishing and crabbing. This is the view from the docks where you can walk along the marina and view the private boats and occasional seals.

There is still one baby left in the gang and she is turning nine in a couple of weeks. I had already turned down swimming with her so when she begged me to help her build her tree house, I jumped right in. I mean, it's Legos, how hard can it be?....Apparently very much! HAVE YOU SEEN THESE CONTRAPTIONS? I had to resort to the instruction manual which no child should have to do.

Anyways, after a million years of building the Da Vinci Code we managed to finish the Lego Tree House. My brother (on the left) then rescued me with a boat rental so that we can go fishing, big kids style!

The Mortal Instrument series has got to be on my top 3 favorite series. When I heard that a movie was being made I remember grunting about it. I was a bit excited to see how the characters would be fleshed out though but when I saw the first couple of teaser pictures then the trailers, I almost wailed. I'm just more concerned about how others might judge the series by what they see in the movie...guess I'll have to see for myself.

Aeropostle: Love Aero Nail Sticker Review

So I was in an outlet mall with my family and we ended up inside Aeropostle. After an hour, I didn't really find anything that I wanted until some Nail Stickers caught my eye. Maybe they were new but I don't remember Aeropostle to be carrying Nail Stickers before. When I found out they were on sale, I thought I'd give them a try. They were 2 for $5 and had only a couple of designs available.

So this is one of the two stickers I got. It was the only one that had a pretty girly design and I thought it could go well with most of my outfits.

I usually only use the smallest stickers since I have baby hands, lol.

I cut the tips that I know my fingers can't reach to save as french tips for later nail art. That way I can have two uses for one set of Nail Stickers!

I decided to use my Sally Hansen Nail'd It for one of my fingers to mix it up a little.

The Nail Stickers turned out cuter than I thought. They stick quite well after adding a top coat as a seal. Although after a couple of hours the tips on some of my fingers had started to peal a little. It could also be on my part since I've been digging around in my forest of a purse a lot and or because I rushed my top coat a bit. Either way I would say it's a good bargain at the moment but if I had to buy it at regular price, I would probably just pass and opt for a more expensive yet trusted brand.
