Lately, I have been thrilled to find different features on my Windows 8 Phone (Nokia Lumia 1020)! And after being an Apple iPhone user for three years, I seriously think making the switch to this Windows Phone was worth it.

With my Windows Phone, I get the updates I want, and am not bombarded with thousands of notifications I have to check. The live tiles and constantly updated streams of media through the social network apps I use, e-mail, and people hub are very useful. From my home screen, I can quickly see what my friends are up to, what’s going on my Twitter and Facebook account, and the e-mails I need to read without being forced to see these notifications at once on my lock screen.

I love the personalization on this phone! I can pin anything to my home screen that’s important to me. Got my best friend, Mom & Dad, and even myself on my home screen so I can contact them and get updates in an instant. Saved all my favorite websites onto my home screen (a feature that’s on the iPhone as well) and my favorite photo albums so I can easily access them (a feature that is not on the iPhone).

Less apps could actually be a good thing. The number one thing I discovered to be the best part of having a Windows Phone is that you aren’t well “pressured” to download new iPhone Apps and therefore, your phone is only full of apps you actually use often. There are thousands of apps in the Apple App Store and the sad, but true part is you don’t need them! All you really need is the few apps you use on daily basis. Twitter, Facebook, Whats App, Skype, or even Evernote. All of which are offered in the Windows App Store.

The productive user interface (UI) is also a nice add. Being a business type of person, I love looking at the clean and professional layout of all apps being organized and less distracting than the overly colorful graphics on the iPhone.

Overall, I love my Windows Phone very much! It’s a great switch!

I recently switched up my iPhone 4 for the Windows 8 Phone Nokia Lumia 1020. In one word this phone is amazing. It’s camera and photo features are brilliant. The storage capacity is perfect. Plus, the clutter-less start screen and app menu contribute to the beautiful and modern nature of this phone.

I switched phones for several reasons. The iPhone 4 is about four years old. It outlasted its warranty and was barely making it through. The iOS update back in October renewed this phone for me, but deep down I clearly knew that the iPhone was no longer my style.

The first thing that sold me to the Nokia Lumia 1020 was the fact that it’s camera is 41 Mega-Pixels. That is quite a lot for a phone! QUITE A LOT! Not even the Nikon D7100 which is more than $1,000 in price has 41 Mega-Pixels. This feature was obviously a big deal.

Beyond that, the phone is wider than you would expect. The screen size is 4.5″, but boy does this comparable to the Samsung Galaxy phones. The size fits in the palm of my hand and the iPhone 4 was a bit small.

Then, the software. Perfect for this phone. Lots of great apps to enhance your photos, take wicked awesome photos, panoramas, GIFs, and stunning videos! Along with all the apps to fix up your photos, the phone provides tutorials for every type of photo so you can fix up your skills also. You do not have to be a professional photographer to grab this phone and get amazing photos.

The automatic brightness feature on this phone is very accurate. I literally tried to read an article with no light at night and felt as if I was reading from an e-reader (with just the perfect amount of light) and when I turned my lights on, the brightness adjusted instantly. The brightness feature is highly functional. Very convenient!

The Nokia Lumia 1020 makes everything easier for me. The photos, the uncluttered spacey storage, beautiful and intuitive design, reading and browsing at night and of course the ease of taking photos.

I highly recommend this phone for any photography fanatic and if you love Nokia phones, this phone is the best one yet.

The comic Superman #0: War of the Superman, follows the story of Kal-El also known as Superman. In this particular adventure of the Man of Steel he seeks to uncover the truth about the events taking place on the planet of New Krypton. Here Superman finally confronts General Zod about his use of the New Kryptonians to invade earth. After some back and forth banter Superman discovers that his suspicions were indeed true. Now Clark must stop an army of Kryptonians that are just as powerful as him.

The dialogue was very well played, each piece of dialogue fit very well with each character. The story was fluid, simple, and straight to the point, none of that useless overly dramatic super-long script where you are half bored to death. Instead the pacing was quick, clean; crisp and it engulfed you and tempted you to read on. Personally I would have bought this comic for myself and the following issues as well. I will have to point out some things I did not like so much. The part where Kal gets cut with the kryptonite blade seemed random and out of place since the setting of that scene is filled with Kryptonian technology, it felt out of place and an excuse to use kryptonite.

The art was superb, the colors used and the lighting was very well executed. It was not to dark as to take away from the Superman theme, and not to bright as to make it cheesy or corny. The lines are detailed, and the contrast was there. All these points made it a very enjoyable sight to look at. I will have to bring up the fact that again the scene where Ursa is licking the kryptonian knife rubs me the wrong way. Her face was not done very well at all. Otherwise everything else in the art was executed with expert hands.

Finally to wrap it up I would definitely tell you to read this book as soon as possible. Its dialogue, story, and pacing are superb. If the other issues of this story arc are all like this I would pick them up as soon as they reached the store. The kyprtonian knife scene felt to me as an excuse to include kryptonite. The art was exquisite and very eye pleasing. The color, textures, contrast and lighting was something that made this book great. My final verdict is that I would give this book is that it is amazing and fantastic if you enjoy Superman.

eBooks, magazines and PDF Documents have been quite popular since the creation of eReaders and smart phone apps. What happened to those good old newspapers everyone loved to read? Introducing Press Reader, an app that brings your old fashioned newspaper to your modern smart phone. Press Reader was created by Newspapers Direct in order to fulfill one’s need to stay in touch with technology while still being able to do something as simple as reading a newspaper.

This app has a simplistic design which gives you ease of navigation and a stunning view of any of your favorite daily newspapers! It’s a beautiful new transition from old fashioned newspapers to digital e-reading. Browse through their vast selection of newspapers, discover top stories around the world, and keep up to date with world news in a modern way. No more buying issues through newsstands. Simply download the app, select your subscription package and get your newspapers your way! Press Reader has a selection of over 2,300 newspapers. That includes publications from over 96 countries in 54 different languages.

Other great features include being able to pan and zoom through the images in the newspaper itself, share the most interesting news articles on Twitter, Facebook, and e-mail, listen to your publications in full clear audio (great for discovering news on the go), and you can even flip through your newspapers like you would in real life.

When I first downloaded Press Reader, I was surprised to see my local newspaper available for me to select. The newspaper was displayed as it should be and on the bottom, all the articles and contents were in one place. I was able to read the top headlines in a clean and sophisticated new layout. Every article from the newspaper was available for me to read in full mobile format from my iPhone. It was very impressive; no other news reader apps that I have tried gave me this advantage. Apps such as Flipboard and Flud News were able to combine news from all over the internet in one place, while Press Reader delivers real newspapers directly to your electronic device. Bringing you offline news in real-time. How cool is that?

You can download your favorite newspapers on your tablet, phone, and computer. This app is currently available for download on most operating systems such as Apple iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Blackberry, and Windows 7 Computers (Check Press Reader to see if you’re computer is compatible). The app has various subscription packages to get the most out of your daily publications. You can Pay As You Go for only 99 cents or upgrade to a monthly subscription starting at $29.95.

This is definitely an app worth trying! Get on your smart phone, tablet, or computer, and download Press Reader! I highly recommend it! Definitely an It’s Technologic approved app! Check out all their publication features and go digital with your newspapers now!

Lately all you see in the app store are new games or ways to post more on social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and even Instagram. Some apps are really cool, others just aren’t necessary.

I’ve been off this blog for a little while now and it’s only because I have been trying to focus on my personal blog The Eternity Journal. While I was focused on the Blogger world instead of WordPress, I came across a really awesome app called BlogGo!

BlogGo’s concept is to allow anyone to blog from anywhere at any time. It’s why the app is called “BlogGo“. There are many neat things about the app as well. You’ll find a simple yet modern design, an easy to use blog post editor, easy blog integration, and plus, the app was made by fellow blogger whose personal blog is The Wonder Forest.

Being on Blogger opened me up to some great reads and awesome bloggers outside the world of technology and all the WordPress professionalism l am used to. Plus, after finding BlogGo, I’m even more connected with Blogger.

Some key features of the BlogGo app is it’s ability to post exactly how you would if you were on Blogger on your computer. It allows you to change image sizes to “Small, Medium, Original Size, or Large” just like how you would on Blogger itself. You can also edit, save, and publish right from the app. Plus, switch between compose and HTML mode.

Beyond that, enjoy the ability to approve and delete your blog’s comments. Now this is a feature that I have definitely been waiting for. The actual Blogger app does not allow this on the go and I always found it to be a hassle to log on to Blogger from my PC to actually approve a couple of comments.

Currently, this app has been rising up the ladder in terms of users and rankings and I am glad I got to throw in a review for it. This app is currently only available on the Apple Store a small one time fee and is definitely a huge recommendation from me! So check it out and leave your thoughts below!

Have you heard about EventWith? The great new app that lets anyone organize and share an event with ease! Attending events can lead to some of the most exciting social experiences; however planning an event is a different type of story. Planning an event can be a very stressful, time consuming, and unmanageable undertaking that a person chooses to take. Have you ever had to plan a camping trip for you and your friends? Or what about that annual family picnic? These events can be complicated to plan and have so many details that are easy to miss. What if there was an application that helped you plan your group events actively with everyone involved? With the EventWith application all this is accomplished without any hassles at all!

EventWith is a brilliantly innovative new application created to enhance the participation and organization involved with group event planning. This app has created a solution unlike any other application on the market and addresses a current social trend of involving all event participants. This one-of-a kind application began when the EventWith founders personally encountered the undeniable mess that group event planning can turn into. A fun weekend getaway turned into endless back & forth emails and a game of phone tag between all of the families to make sure we were all on the same page. Rather than complain and relive this terrible experience in the future, they decided to create a solution.

EventWith is a clever app that increases guest engagement with group event planning by creating an environment that is transparent and reveals to the entire invitee group how much each guest is actually participating. With the options to create checklists, have people choose what they would like to bring, and allowing for online voting on date, time, and venue, this application has many available options to make the event a no fuss success. The EventWith goal is to empower the event host by encouraging guest active participation with planning the event. This app also causes everyone to feel involved and completely eliminates the back and forth phone calls and emails. Ultimately, EventWith raises event success for everyone involved.

As I tried out this new interesting app that is still in beta as of right now, I was amazed at how simple it was to create an event listing and get my friends involved. Immediately after signing up, I created my first event. I added some basic details like what it was, where, and when and then I invited some friends through Facebook, Twitter, or simply sent them an e-mail! After my invited guests check out the event page, comment, and see what they are contributing to the event, I am all set for a great turn out! The feature I love most about EventWith is that it allows you to have your attendees vote for a date/time that would work best and even vote on a place. It’s extremely helpful to get as many attendees as possible at the event! Definitely a recommended app to use for your next event!

I was researching a couple of days ago and noticed this notification bar on the top of the page. The bar was in yellow and it seemed to be an important message from Wikipedia.
It was important. Wikipedia is currently having financial issues in maintaining their service. All the information you research and find on Wikipedia is given to you for free. For this one time, Wikipedia is asking for support in donations as little as $3. Help Wikipedia stay online! Wikipedia has been a part of my research even on It’s Technologic for years. Wikipedia was built to help those in need for information on a specific topic or even just for fun. It became a community full of users posting articles to help one another learn what they did not know before. If everyone donated as little as $3, think of the long way it would go for Wikipedia if we all took part in helping it.

To donate please go to Wikipedia.com to find the notification bar at the top or search Wikipedia for something and find it there. Learn more info and donate!

Ransomgram is a great new picture app that has tons of cool features you are sure to find useful. This app has everything you need to give your pictures a stunning new look. Take a photo or upload from your device’s gallery to start editing your pictures into epic Ransomgrams. Then head over to the editor to edit your photo the way you want. Edit your photos with tools such as enhance, effects, crop, and text editor. Plus, use Ransomgram’s blemish remover, brightness adjuster, contrast, saturation, sharpness adjuster, and whitener for advanced editing. Ransomgram is mainly known for its ability to let users add their own ransom text to their image. This is one feature that no other picture editing app has. Instagram and Camera+ don’t let you add this extremely cool text effect to your photos like Ransomgram does! You’ll be amazed to see all the great things that Ransomgram can do to enhance your photos.

Another great thing about Ransomgram is that the app’s interface is quite simple and very functional. The design provides a unique look that allows users to easily find the editing tools they need to get the best out of Ransomgram. Besides the editing tools and the app’s interface, Ransomgram also has premium features you can purchase straight from the app. Unlock all the fonts, letter, and colors for an even better Ransomgram experience. After you’re done editing your images, save it to your phone or instantly share it via Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or e-mail. This app has it all, editing, enhancing, and sharing all in one place.

In conclusion, I love this app, it’s definitely the only photo editor I need. The first time I tried this app, I thought that the only feature I would have is the ability to add ransom font text, but I launched this app to find so much more! It’s everything you need to edit your photos rolled into one. It’s great for anyone who loves photo effects and loves to show off their editing skills and photos on their favorite social networks. If you have not already tried out Ransomgram, head on over to the Apple App Store and download it today! This is definitely another great app by FotoFiction! Can’t wait to see what other great photo apps this company will roll out next. Definitely a fan of Ransomgram and FotoFiction’s apps!

Technology has given us many advantages, but has also caused many problems to individuals & society. Technology allows people to communicate with little effort. Cell phones, computers, tablets, and even eBook readers allow the “Everyday” person to connect with the people in their lives digitally. Although this is a huge advantage when it comes to connecting with people, it can also be a disadvantage. People start to rely more on technology as their way of communication and therefore loose touch with them in person. Technology does not necessarily ruin relationships, but it contributes to less-real-life conversations and more online communication. Beyond that, with all the different types of technology out these days, everyone is spending more money than usual. Our economy has not been doing well, but too many electronics are purchased everyday regardless. How could society be so obsessed with technology that even though money is hard to manage, buying the new iPhone is essential?

Personally, I love technology, it’s helpful, keeps me organized, allows me to manage my life. But, the cost of it does not seem really worth it if you think about it. Technology gets out dated fast, you can have the new iPhone 5 in December and tell yourself you would not spend a penny more a cell phone then all of a sudden the iPhone 5.2 comes out and there goes past year’s savings. My point is technology is great, but society is losing touch with what really matters. Society is less interactive offline these days and obsessed with wasting money they need on getting the latest gadget.

Facebook has been evolving and creating new features on Facebook that allow users to interact more and enjoy Facebook as well. A new feature coming soon to Facebook is the ability to send REAL gifts to your facebook friends. How cool is that?!

Soon users will be able to send real gifts to their Facebook friends for any occasion. A birthday, an anniversary, a new life celebration, or just because. Facebook wants to make your friends feel thought of and find that users will love receiving gifts through Facebook.

You select a gift and add a personal message, put in your payment information, and your work is done! You don’t even have to add your friend’s shipping address. Facebook will then notify your friend that a gift has been sent to them and their shipping address is required. Your friend will then add their shipping address and receive their gift their straight to their door!

Facebook also allows your friend to change the size, color, or flavor of the product before it is shipped and you won’t have to pay a cent more for letting your friend choose from these options.

Getting Facebook birthday posts on your wall has gotten boring and very cliche. Getting a gift delivered via Facebook to you is very creative and will brighten up those boring birthday wall posts. Want to find out more? Go to Facebook Gifts.
