Refresh all Pivot in one go

If you are handling any reporting based on huge data, without doubt, you would have made some 'n' number of pviots to represent data. Only problem is, once the base data undergoes change, you end up manually refreshing the pivots.
Few people though opt to refresh the pivots when workbook opens, but that also does not help, if you want to see the change without closing and opening the file.

It's only recently, I discovered this simple option to refresh all pivots, thanks to Chandoo.

Here's how to do that -

Goto Data Ribbon
Click on Refresh All button (shortcut - Ctrl + Alt + F5) and you are done.

Often encountered workbook with many worksheets hidden? If so, you would be knowing the pain of un-hiding each worksheet one after another. It's both time consuming and boring.

Here's a quick macro to do that at once...

Finally the day ended on some real good note. Good note in it's very true sense, with one hour of real music by Rabbi Shergill on MTV Unplugged.

After all this years of hatred towards MTV for showing only advertisements and promos rather than some good music... with Coke Studio and Unplugged - MTV is back on my favourite lists...

One more bomb blast and the debate across the news channels started about the security and steps taken / learnt from the last bomb blasts....

I am sure, with so many 24x7 news channels around, they would be the only happy lot to have bomb blast again. Most of them were tired with Anna Hazare and than Cash for vote scam coverage. They got some more 'masala' to debate on.

After long time, going through my "add remove program" to do some cleanup of the junk applications which I don't use any more. Something which really stopped me for once was IrfanView.

I think this tiny utility called IrfanView, which I started to use, back in 2004 is one of THE best application for Photo viewing, which I have used till date. Even after so many years, every-time I get hand on new machine or format my machine, thing app is first to get re-installed.

Reason I like this application so much...

It's super fast to open
Opens up almost all the earthly possible image format
Quick re-sizing, color balancing, cutting, cropping, etc. Think of any image editing required option you need and you have it.
Unicode support
and much much more

To top all this.. It's a freeware. So if you have not tried yet... well, go ahead and try it for yourself... IrfanView

I think one of the least used feature on Blogger platform is the new visual overhaul look which Blogger announced back in March 2011. Even I could not figure out, how to best implement this on blog. Despite of the fact, that it's most easy to use.

All you need to do is add "/view" to the end of your blog's url to enable the new views which include Mosaic, Flipcard, Sidebar, Snapshot, and Timeslide.

For example, if you want to see Flipcard view of this blog... you need to goto http://ivijay.blogspot.com/view/flipcard

Even I am not sure, how to get this on blogger blog... so finally just adding one link on the top.

Any suggestions on how to use this feature to take advantage of this feature !!

After long break, went today to watch part 2. Primarily because I had seen part 1 and wanted to complete the series. Frankly speaking, it was big disappointment. Feels like a complete waste of money and time both.

The only thing, I remembered at the end of the movie was the SMS I got few days back...

Thanks to multiple flyovers coming up on the Outer Ring Road, the only thing you find is traffic and dust. Though one thing which stands out is the beautiful Hanuman statue at Agara lake crossing.

25 paise fades in history

Yet another coin takes a bow from the Indian currency scene... humble 25 paise will cease to be legal tender money from of 30th June 2011. Now the only place it will find some space is in collectors boxes.

Last time, I used 25 paise was probably travelling by bus in Kolkata might be in 1996 or so.

Many people wonder, why to do away with 25 paise... apart from obvious reason that now a days you don't even get a mint at that value... main reason is the rising metal prices. To put it in simple words, if you melt the coin and sell it as scrap, you will fetch more value.

Goodbye 25 paise.. or as we say Chawani..

Watching hindi movie after long time. Sadly, it does not even reach to the mark of its own predecessor. Only reason I watched the movie was because of Vinay Pathak. Script and plot is absolute below mediocre.
