How to extract email ids from received emails

People love to share intresting emails with their friends. Don't you. But all they do a most common mistake. All the those at the receiving end easily see other email id those of common friends and many stranger ids.

Here comes my work. You can extract all these emails and grow our friend list rapidly in facebook, twitter, orkut, or can invite them to take a glance on your website.
There is no perfect software to catch these contacts automatically.

Steps to extract:
1. Go to you inbox > open the desired mail
2. In gmail click on the show details option (see picture)
3. Press and hold control key and select all emails and names that are showing up
4. Open a new text document and paste their from clip board.
5. Add this line in the 1st line of newly created text file:

name,E-mail 1 - Type,E-mail 1 - Value

6. Perform a replace action (ctrl+H)
Replace "<" with "," and ">" with " "
7. Save file as something.csv (chose all file types)

And you are done. Your file is ready to upload to your email address book/facebook/outlook or to any other application.

This trick can also be performed for converting .txt contacts files (extracted from any other source) to .csv contact files.

To save your friends to being spammed like this way use the BCC option while sending emails to many people and ask them to do so.

orkuters auto deleting all your link scraps

Orkut developers deleting scraps that contains rich contents. Yes that's true. So sending style font scraps, photos and videos to your friends is worthless.

I used to send birthday wishes to my friends via scraps. For this I was using a ready-made HTML script containing text, image, flash file and link to my blog at the footer.

But since last one or two months I didn't get a single "thank you scrap". Astonished by the result I started checking there scrap book , I found my scraps was not there.

I stared searching orkut help forum and found that other users also facing the same problem. The scraps are automatically get deleted and goes to your spam folder. From the spam folder you can mark it "not spam" so that the scrap can be restored or you may "delete" it permanently. This also applies to community posts also and the rich text threads can be found in community spam folder.

Although it is a good idea as it protects and keeps you orkut profile clean, but bad also as we can't have more fun.

Download and save orkut ablum photos; No need of Right Click, Wonderful HACK

As orkut developers change the code of orkut site, now you are not able to save photos of your friends. But not to worry as I am here; The simple firefox trick can do the magic.

The new code is good to protect your own photos. No body can download them and can't miss use them as mentioned before.
But this makes headache if you want to download your college photos, birthday party photos from your friends album and reload to your album. (headache for evil purpose also)

To save orkut album photos you must have to use firefox browser.
In firefox login to orkut and go to the the desired photo page which you want to download.
In firefox menu bar (see photo) select Tools >> select Page Info >> select Media >> scroll Up/Down to get protected photos address >> select save as >> you are done , the image will be saved in your computer.

UPDATE:: Just drag and drop the photos to your desktop and to save orkut album photos to your hard disc ( works on both internet explorer and firefox and other browsers )

Finally I have managed to purchase a custom domain name name from domain registrar. It was my dream since two and half years to purchase a TLD .com to point my tech blog but I was not able to do so because I don't have a credit card. But now I got the power of innovatory ICICI Online banking by which I have managed to purchase the domain name from net4.in. Thanks a lot to my friend Amresh Das for his support.

I was not able to write any post since I was busy in optimizing posts, widgets, SEO factors for the new techyeh.com

Gmail updates: Labeling and Archving goes Easier

Gmail is the most favorite webmail service. The best feature of its is labels. Now Gmail have New ways to label with "Move to" and auto-complete options.

Many of the users don't know the use of labels. Labels do all the work folders do and give you an extra bonus: you can add more than one to a conversation. Once you've created a label, you can view all the messages with that label by searching, or by clicking the label name along the left side of any Gmail page.
Now Labeling goes better by adding a option move to in the gmail folders as you can see in the image. If you are going to archive mail under one or more labels , you can do t directly by just selecting "move to". Also there are keyboard shortcuts 'l' and 'v' to perform these actions easily. Now you can get the wordpress self hosting (wordpress.org) blog without paying neither for hosting nor for domain.

The free version of wordpress blog (wordpress.com) has limited function, that you can't custom the blog template according to your need nor you can't install adsense ad codes to get some bucks.
The full potential of wordpress can be utilized by downloading the software from wordpress.org and installing it in your server. But most of the server will suck you.
So I recommend you to go for zymic.com which is totally free and have sufficient disc space and bandwidth to meet your demands. And also it is better than 110mb.com as in 110mb you can't opt in for MySQL.
Follow the steps below:-
Step1: Go to CO.CC and regisster a free domain like yourname.co.cc or you can purchase a TLD like yourname.com or you can chose the free domain by zymic like yourname.uuuq.net
Step2: Register with Zymic.com
Step3: Down load the latest version of word press from wordpress.org
Step4: Create a SQL database , user and password in zymic control panel (under MySQL Database Management )
Step5: Extract the wordpress .zip file and then rename the file wp-config-sample.php to wp-config.php .
Step6: Open the file wp-config.php in notepad.
Step7: Edit the 4 marked places with your MySQL database details.
Step8: Save the file wp-config.php .
Step9: Rename the entire wordpress folder to public_html.
Step10: Delete the entire public_html folder inside zymic hosting space.
Step11: Upload The public_html folder from your desktop to zymic hosting space by using filezilla software.
Step12: Now open the file http://your-site-address.com/wp-admin/install.php to set up your username and password for your self hosted wordpress blog.

If you are going to check your board result or your passport status ; then either you to remember the exact URL or you have search the internet to find out the desired link. And it is hard to get the exact one. But now you can refine your search results by only getting official websites list of indian govt which are informatory and non commercial.

This problem has been solved by Mr. Sasidhar by the help of Google custom search. Your serch result will display only official website links related to your querry which is free from undesired commercial sites.

So next time you are trying to get the govenment sites go to indiangovsearch.com rather than google.com

One of recent update from orkut that now you can search your friends directly from the home page.

Now a days orkut is rolling out new features daily. One of the hot feature is you can search your friends from your home page . A search button is on the above of my friends list (see image). As before you have to go to yours friends page and have to type the friends name and hit enter. But this widget suggests the friends as you type 2 or 3 letters.

Now your emails are hosted at the URL like your_blog_address.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default . Copy This address to clip board.

Getting Orkut scraps as SMS:
Step 1 : To get scraps as SMS , first we have to covert our scrap into web feeds. To do this we need help of the website orkutfeeds.com by rahul bansal.

The feed URL of your scrap book will be like this

Copy your scrap feed URL to clip board.

Now go to mytoday.com and log in with your mobile number and password

To get emails as SMS >> Go to Feed Management Page >> Go to "Add Feed" >> In the "name" field put "email" and in the "URL" field put your_blog_address.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default ( From step 1.B) >> Check send SMS >> click create AND YOU ARE ALL DONE.

To get scraps as SMS >> Go to Feed Management Page >> Go to "Add Feed" >> In the "name" field put "scraps" and in the "URL" field put &amp;amp;lt;br&amp;amp;gt; ( From step 1) >> Check send SMS >> click create AND YOU ARE ALL DONE.

Limitations:

Scraps/emails sent to you via sms are 5-6 hours late.

The word limit is 71. So you wont get to read the full scrap/email if it exceeds 71 words.

This hack wont work if your scrapbook is locked or blog set as private.

This whole trick/process is for Indian cell users only.
If You are using email services which don't provide ( hotmail/live mail, zapak, rediff, indiatimes ) mail forwarding option ; you can't read them in your mobile.
The emails that you are auto forwarding to blogger.com must be less than 10 MB in size.

Displaying more than three adsense ad blocks in one page

According to Google Adsense terms of service publishing more than three ads block in one web page is not possible. If you put more than 3 ad scripts the 4th one will not be displayed .
But using iframe HTML attribute you can do so.

Place the code below where the 4th ad block will be displayed.

Yesterday when I was trying google advanced search to get ".swf" extension files, got to see that the page has a new look with new search options like date , usage rights and more. The advanced search page has beta like appearance which shows your search terms as complete search operator list. As the new year begins orkut developers added new feature by which you can organise your photos in different albums like "my birth day party photos", "school time photos", "miscellaneous" etc. To get this feature click on photos like [ left column of home page/profile page] , you will redirected to a page where you have to give the album name and then description. After that upload your photo to the album and chose a photo to make it album cover . Yo.. happy orkutting.

No word verification for sending links in orkut scrap

Yesterday when I was scraping all a just resealed hindi movie song ; got to know that there is no word verification [CAPTCHA] for sending links like http://www.orkut.com/blahblah.... and ~~http://......etcetc.blogspot.com/~~ in orkut (to friends only). So what is the advantage?
You can invite all your friends to your community on a go ~~or you may ping your blog updates~~ via scrap.

update: Also no captcha for
=> picasa [google photo hosting service like flickr.com] links
=> slide.com, rockyou.com flash files
=> youtube and google video links / embedded HTML scripts
as well as orkut.com links but blog*spot site links need captcha.
