Qin F21 Pro with Dumbdroid

最近入手了 Qin F21 Pro 這台按鍵式安卓手機。幾年前曾看過 Jose Briones 的評論影片，後來也陸續在 r/dumbphones 瀏覽過相關分享，但不曾對這支手機產生興趣。直到 2025 年 10 月，Dumbdroid 的開發者 Michal Brzozowski 發布了一篇文章，介紹這個作業系統的基礎資訊，才引起了我的關注。

什麼是 Dumbdroid？

Dumbdroid，中文或許可以譯為「笨卓」，是一款基於 LineageOS 的客製化作業系統。其底層採用了 Andy Yan 開發的 LineageOS 21.0 GSI，再由 Michal Brzozowski 針對特定機型進行客製化與優化。除了最初的 Qin F21 Pro 之外，目前亦擴大支援 Qin F22 Pro、Doov R77 Pro 與 R17 Pro 等按鍵式安卓手機(Keypad Android Phones)。Dumbdroid 作業系統吸引我的地方有以下三點：

Dumbdroid 支援的四種機型，Qin 與 Doov 均為中國的品牌，這類手機的客群是以學生為主體，強調能減緩手機成癮問題，且支援家長進行遠端追蹤與監控。相對於一般智慧型手機，它們的售價較為親民。以 2022 年上市且仍在販售的 Qin F21 Pro 為例，入手價大約落在新台幣 3,000 至 4,000 元之間，具體取決於購買的版本與平台。

從 PUNKT MP02 到 QIN F21 PRO

我對於小手機有著莫名的喜好。或許是受到 MP02 的影響——那 100 克的輕巧重量、袖珍的外型與舒適的握感，讓我對其硬體設計讚不絕口。而 Qin F21 Pro 採用傳統的扁平長方體設計，重量也與 MP02 相差不遠，這便是我決定買一台來刷 Dumbdroid 作業系統的主要原因。

一波三折的刷機過程

在刷機過程中，我原本參考 Dumbdroid 的官方教學，但無論在 Windows 還是 Linux 環境下都無法成功。後來在 Discord Duoqin Hacking 頻道上，使用了網友 @zmwa 分享的可開機作業系統刷機包才順利完成。有興趣的朋友可以試試看這個方法，但務必記得事先做好資料備份。雖然 Dumbdroid 官網也有販售已經刷好系統的 R77 Pro，但近期在歐洲的需求量大增，因此自行購買機器來刷機，或許是目前比較快速的途徑。

實際使用體驗

目前我已經使用將近兩週，整體的體驗可以拆成軟硬體兩個部分來分享：

軟體表現： Dumbdroid 作業系統運行相當穩定，我已經成功進行過兩次 OTA 系統更新。平時使用頻率不高，多數用來通話或接收 Signal 訊息，保守估計待機時間大約可達三天，這與我之前使用的 Pixel 8 表現相差不遠。不過，目前 Dumbdroid 尚不支援 Wi-Fi Calling 以及 Type-C 有線耳機，得觀望未來是否會釋出相關的修復更新。
硬體表現： F21 Pro 握持的手感略遜於 MP02，但優於 Light Phone 3。相機畫質雖然不佳，但已經足夠讓我快速掃描條碼以新增 Signal 設備——回想起幾年前在 MP02 上透過 Pigeon(第三方 Signal 客戶端)新增設備的折騰過程，現在的體驗已經讓我相當滿足。缺點方面，F21 Pro 的鈴聲偏小，且通話音質的清晰度也不及 MP02 與 Light Phone 3。

I recently picked up a Qin F21 Pro keypad Android phone. A few years ago I had watched Jose Briones' review video, and later browsed related posts on r/dumbphones, but I never felt particularly drawn to this device — until October 2025, when Dumbdroid developer Michal Brzozowski published a post introducing the operating system's basics, and that's what finally caught my attention.

What is Dumbdroid?

Dumbdroid is a customized operating system based on LineageOS. Frequent system updates: The developer continuously releases updates to fix bugs and add new features.

What are Keypad Android Phones?

Keypad Android Phones are Android smartphones equipped with a physical keyboard. The keyboard types include numeric keypads (T9) and full QWERTY keyboards. Notable examples of the former include the CAT S22 Flip and Punkt MP02, while the latter includes the Unihertz Titan and the Minimal Phone.

The four devices supported by Dumbdroid — Qin and Doov — are both Chinese brands. This category of phone is primarily marketed to students, with an emphasis on reducing phone addiction and supporting remote parental tracking and monitoring. They are also considerably more affordable than typical smartphones. The Qin F21 Pro, launched in 2022 and still available today, typically sells for around TWD 3,000 to 4,000 (roughly USD 90 to 125), depending on the version and platform.

From the Punkt MP02 to the Qin F21 Pro

I previously used the Punkt MP02, which also ran a customized Android OS (AphyOS). That experience gave me a deep appreciation for just how difficult it is to adapt a touchscreen-based system into a smooth keypad-driven interface — and it was precisely this software development bottleneck that caused the MP02, despite its excellent hardware design, to gradually fade from the market.

I have an inexplicable fondness for small phones, likely shaped by my time with the MP02 — its 100g weight, compact form factor, and comfortable grip left a strong impression on me. The Qin F21 Pro follows a traditional candybar design and weighs similarly, and that was the main reason I decided to pick one up and flash Dumbdroid onto it.

A Rocky Flashing Process

For the flashing process, I initially followed the official Dumbdroid instructions, but was unable to get it working on either Windows or Linux. I eventually succeeded using a bootable OS flashing package shared by Discord user @zmwa in the Duoqin Hacking channel. If you're interested, it's worth trying — just make sure to back up your data beforehand. While Dumbdroid's website does sell pre-flashed R77 Pro units, demand in Europe has surged recently, so buying a device and flashing it yourself may currently be the faster route.

Real-World Experience

After nearly two weeks of use, here are my impressions split into software and hardware:

Software: Dumbdroid runs remarkably stable — I've successfully completed two OTA system updates. I don't use the phone heavily; it's mostly for calls and receiving Signal messages, and I'd conservatively estimate about three days of standby time, roughly on par with my previous Pixel 8. That said, Dumbdroid currently does not support Wi-Fi Calling or wired Type-C headphones, and it remains to be seen whether fixes will arrive in future updates.

Hardware: The Qin F21 Pro's feel in hand is a notch below the MP02, but better than the Light Phone 3. The camera quality isn't great, but it's more than sufficient for quickly scanning a QR code to add a Signal device — a far smoother experience compared to the ordeal of adding a device through Pigeon (a third-party Signal client) on the MP02, so I'm quite satisfied. On the downside, the F21 Pro's ringtone volume is too low, and call clarity doesn't match either the MP02 or the Light Phone 3.

As for the Light Phone 3 I had been using, since its software features are still being actively developed, I'll probably set it aside for a while and bring it back as my daily driver once it's more fully featured.

看似完美，但在最關鍵的「物理體驗」上，它卻讓我猶豫了。它的寬度與 Pixel 8 相當，手感上失去了 Punkt MP02 那種一手掌握的俐落；加上官方保護殼的廉價塑膠感，拉低了整體的精緻度。這讓我意識到，我追求的不僅是介面的極簡，還有物理型態上的輕巧與無負擔。

終章：Qin F21 Pro —— 意料之外的終極解答（搭配 Dumbdroid）

Finding the Sweet Spot Between Digital Life and Real Life: My Long Journey from Nokia 8110 to Qin F21 Pro

A few years back, I watched The Social Dilemma and it kicked off what I'd call my great digital migration. This wasn't just about switching phones—it was this whole drawn-out internal debate between "taking back control of my life" and "not completely losing touch with modern conveniences." Looking back now, I went from the most retro flip phone you can imagine, tried out cutting-edge privacy phones, and finally found some peace with the Qin F21 Pro. System power (fixing the Nokia and Punkt issues): Unlike KaiOS being all locked down or Punkt's modified Android having compatibility issues, the Qin F21 Pro runs full Android. Which means I can use Signal no problem, even install necessary open-source apps.

Minimalist soul (carrying on the GrapheneOS spirit): With Dumbdroid (vanilla) flashed on it, all the tempting entertainment features and trackers are gone. The tiny 2.8-inch screen and physical T9 keyboard physically discourage browsing the web or watching videos for hours, but when you need to find a restaurant, it handles that just fine.

Wrapping Up

From Nokia's complete disconnection, to Punkt's elegance but limitations, to Pixel's power but bulk, to Light Phone 3's refinement but disappointing feel—my journey proved that digital minimalism isn't about pursuing "feature deprivation." It's about finding this balance where "hardware limits entertainment, software enables life."

The Qin F21 Pro with Dumbdroid is pretty much the best version of that balance right now: it's got a feature phone body (compact, physical keyboard) but runs on smartphone brains (Android). I get to keep modern conveniences while still being in control of my own time.

針對澳洲青少年社群網路禁令的想法

我是一個七年級生，西方定義為千禧世代 (Millennials)，我的成長過程經歷了從「類比」到「數位」的轉變，青少年時期，網際網路剛開始普及，從早期的撥接上網，進步到高速網路，隨著基礎建設與數位科技的成熟，智慧型手機和社群媒體也隨之發展到當今的樣態。

十二月十日，澳洲政府通過一項法案，成為第一個禁止十六歲以下的青少年接觸社群網路的國家。對於這樣的措施，不同世代固然有不同的看法，澳洲青少年多數表示反對全面禁止(影片1, 影片2)，而成年人(家長)多數樂觀其成。

自己身為「數位原住民」的第一代，且家中有青少年的家長，對於澳洲政府這樣的禁令，表示可以理解，但無法認同。

我可以理解澳洲政府面對這些社群媒體公司的無奈與憤怒，這些上市公司拿著投資人的大筆現金，以全體人類為實驗對象，藉由心理學的原理設計出容易成癮的軟體互動機制，從人機互動中販賣使用者資訊並藉由投放廣告獲取巨額利潤。即便有相關研究明確指出社群媒體對人類的危害，特別是對於青少年以下的族群，這些公司卻仍然未採取必要積極的措施。過去澳洲政府不斷的與這些公司溝通，但仍舊沒有看到積極的改善，因此政府才採取如此強硬的應對方式。

我有一名十四歲的孩子，在澳洲禁令的同一日，他請我關閉 Instagram 帳號。

這個帳號，大概是孩子十三歲時申辦的，我知道社群媒體對於青少年的危害，但我可以理解孩子在群體中的壓力，孩子希望可以辦理一個帳號，在辦理帳號之前，我便向孩子說明這個帳號屬「家庭帳號」，使用家庭信箱申辦，因此我知道帳號的密碼。

在這樣的環境之下，我可以知道孩子在社群媒體上的活動，包含朋友、訊息的往來、跟隨者等，我將帳號的偏好設定盡可能的減少社交互動，而每一位跟隨的公眾人物(多數是韓國演藝團體)我都會檢視發文內容是否適切。至於孩子與他人(主要是同學)訊息的往來，除非對話內容真的很不洽當，我才會進行介入，多數都是「睜一隻眼，閉一隻眼」。

孩子之所以請我關閉 Instagram 帳號，主因是與同學間的網路互動，已經對他的身心造成巨大的影響。以孩子的話來說，他覺得自己很「焦慮」，回家後想立刻打開手機，來收發訊息，每天晚上，即便我已經嚴格限制使用的時間(十五分鐘/天)，但他經常要求我延長時間。

有一天，孩子終於受不了，他請我關閉帳號。

觀察孩子在社群網路關閉的這幾天，臉上的笑容增加了，回家後也不會立刻打開手機，孩子自己也表示，社群網路關閉之後，他不再需要關注在他無法掌控的網路空間，日子變得輕鬆許多。

我跟孩子說，經過這樣的實驗，自己應該可以清楚知道社群媒體對於心理的危害，只有當你的心智足夠承受來應對社群媒體，才來考慮使用他，而大家普遍的共識，便是十六歲這個年紀，因此接下來的這幾年時間，你可以好好思考，自己究竟需不需要社群網路，來「豐富」自己的人生，抑或是學習「獨處」，讓自己可以學習與人好好的對話。

A Millennial Parent's Reflections on Australia's Social Media Ban

I'm a member of Taiwan's "Grade 7 generation," known in the West as Millennials. Growing up, I witnessed the transition from analog to digital. During my adolescence, the internet was just beginning to spread—from the early days of dial-up to high-speed connections. As infrastructure and digital technology matured, smartphones and social media evolved into what they are today.

On December 10th, the Australian government passed legislation making it the first country to ban access to social media for those under sixteen. Different generations naturally hold different views on this measure. Most Australian teenagers oppose a blanket ban, while most adults (parents) welcome it.

As a first-generation "digital native" and a parent of a teenager myself, I can understand Australia's ban, but I cannot fully agree with it.

I understand the Australian government's frustration and anger toward these social media companies. These publicly traded corporations take vast sums of investor capital and use all of humanity as test subjects. They employ psychological principles to design addictive interaction mechanisms, selling user data harvested from human-computer interactions and reaping enormous profits through targeted advertising. Even as research clearly identifies the harms of social media—particularly for adolescents and younger users—these companies have failed to take necessary, proactive measures. The Australian government has repeatedly tried to communicate with these companies but has seen no meaningful improvement, which is why they've resorted to such a hardline response.

I have a fourteen-year-old child. On the same day as Australia's ban, my child asked me to deactivate their Instagram account.

This account was created when my child was about thirteen. I knew about the dangers of social media for teenagers, but I also understood the peer pressure they face. When my child expressed the desire to have an account, I explained beforehand that it would be a "family account," registered with our family email address, so I would know the password.

Under this arrangement, I could monitor my child's social media activity—including friends, message exchanges, and followers. I adjusted the account's privacy settings to minimize social interaction as much as possible, and I reviewed every public figure they followed (mostly Korean entertainment groups) to ensure the content was appropriate. As for my child's messages with others (mainly classmates), unless the conversations were truly inappropriate, I generally "turned a blind eye."

The reason my child asked me to deactivate Instagram was that online interactions with classmates had begun to take a significant toll on their mental and emotional well-being. In my child's words, they felt "anxious"—wanting to immediately check their phone for messages the moment they got home. Every evening, despite my strict time limits (fifteen minutes per day), they frequently asked me to extend the time.

One day, my child finally couldn't take it anymore and asked me to close the account.

In the days since deactivating social media, I've observed more smiles on my child's face. They no longer rush to check their phone when they get home. My child has also said that without social media, they no longer need to worry about things happening in the online world that they can't control. Life has become much easier.

I told my child that through this experience, they should now clearly understand the psychological harm social media can cause. Only when your mind is mature enough to handle social media should you consider using it—and the general consensus is that sixteen is that age. So over the next few years, you can take time to think carefully about whether you truly need social media to "enrich" your life, or whether you'd rather learn to be comfortable with solitude and develop the ability to have meaningful conversations with others.

Light Phone III 經過一個禮拜的使用，摘要以下幾點心得：

電池：Light Phone 帶有 1,800 mAH 的電池，在藍芽與無線網路均開啟，且在市區網路穩定的環境之下，Light Phone 的待機時間大約三天，與 Punkt MP02(1,280 mAH)的兩天，以及 Pixel 8(4,575 mAH)的五天相比，機器的電池消耗率不相上下。不過，Light Phone 曾經發生過一次因為電力不足直接當機，需要持續按電源鍵才有辦法開機。
相機：Light Phone 的相機為 5,000 萬畫素，色調偏冷，這讓我想起 Ricoh GR Digital；其獨特的二階段快門(two-step shutter button)，讓攝影多了一些趣味，唯從「半按對焦」到「全按取景」的秒差，容易錯過拍照的時機，並增添物體移動的機會，我想這應可以透過未來軟體更新來獲得改善；至於前置鏡頭，因為比較少自拍因此無法分享。
介面：Light Phone 的進階功能，主要透過網頁介面(Dash)啟用與操作，但網頁缺乏多重要素驗證(Mutiple-Factor Authentication, MFA)，只需要密碼即可登入，這增添資訊被入侵的風險，包含聯絡人資訊、行事曆、記事本等私人資訊；在網頁介面可以按照需求新增功能，包含行事曆(Google Calendar Support)、記事本、音樂、方向(Here 圖資)、熱點等。
通知：這是一支不希望影響您生活的工具，因此任何通知，包含鈴聲、簡訊聲都很「輕」，輕到您不會注意到，因此容易錯過一些來電或簡訊；如果收到帶有網址的簡訊，會自動轉發到您初始設定的電子信箱，但這又會牽涉到隱私問題，如果內容會較為機密，經過該公司的伺服器，是否又會延伸資安的風險，這需要再多一點資訊才有辦法信服。

Light Phone III - Summary of One Week's Usage Experience

1. Battery: The Light Phone comes with a 1,800 mAH battery. With Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled, in a stable urban network environment, the Light Phone's standby time is about three days. This is comparable to the Punkt MP02 (1,280 mAH) with two days and the Pixel 8 (4,575 mAH) with five days, showing that the device's battery drain rate is similar across these devices. However, the Light Phone did experience one incident where it crashed due to insufficient power and required holding down the power button to restart.

2. Camera: The Light Phone's camera is 50 megapixels with cooler color tones, reminiscent of the Ricoh GR Digital. Its unique two-step shutter button adds some interest to photography, but the delay between "half-press to focus" and "full-press to capture" can cause missed photo opportunities and increase the chance of subject movement. I believe this could be improved through future software updates. As for the front camera, I can't share much as I rarely take selfies.

3. Interface: The Light Phone's advanced features are primarily enabled and operated through a web interface (Dash). However, the website lacks Multiple-Factor Authentication (MFA), requiring only a password to log in, which increases the risk of information breaches, including contact information, calendar, notes, and other personal information. Through the web interface, functions can be added according to needs, including calendar (Google Calendar Support), notes, music, directions (Here maps), hotspot, etc.

4. Notifications: This is a tool designed not to disrupt your life, so all notifications, including ringtones and message alerts, are very "light" - so light that you might not notice them, making it easy to miss calls or messages. If you receive a text message containing a URL, it will be automatically forwarded to your initially configured email address, but this raises privacy concerns. If the content is confidential, passing through the company's servers might pose security risks, which would require more information to be convincing.

經過將近一年的漫長等待，Light Phone III 總算抵達，先分享幾個初步印象：

手感：我不只一次在筆記本，描繪手機的長度與寬度，並想像拿在手中的感覺，比較的手機包含先前的 Punkt MP02 與目前使用的 Pixel 8，雖然 Light Phone 的寬度與 Pixel 8 相同，但是拿在手裡的感覺還是不大習慣，以整體手感來說，無疑的還是 Punkt MP02 較優。
螢幕：Light Phone 的螢幕是 OLED，並以黑底白字為主要的操作介面，唯獨使用相機時，會轉換為全彩的介面，包含相簿也是以全彩呈現。有些用戶表示，螢幕與 E-Ink 相較，注視時較為不舒服，或許這樣的原因有部分會轉向 Mudita Pure 等使用 E-Ink 的手機。
質感：無疑的，這是一個高品質且有個性的極簡手機，與 Punkt MP02 不相上下，從材質的選用到包裝的設計，都可以看見這家公司的堅持。唯獨官方保護殼，其材質為塑料，雖然價格便宜且保護力佳，但是裝上保護殼後，整體質感便下降許多。
功能：額外功能透過網頁進行新增，直覺方便，以日曆來說，可綁定 Google 日曆，雖然只能同步主要行事曆，但已經相當方便，介面能正常呈現正體中文；筆記本，可以在網頁進行新增，並於手機中進行檢視，可作為待辦事項的筆記本；通訊錄，支援匯入vcf，但是資料儲存在該公司雲端，還讓我有隱私的疑慮。

接下來會花時間來好好認識這支極簡手機的功能，包含期待的二階段快門鈕(two-step shutter button)、拍照的效果、電池的續航力等。

After nearly a year of long waiting, the Light Phone III has finally arrived. Here are some initial impressions:

1. Handfeel: More than once, I've sketched the length and width of phones in my notebook, imagining how they would feel in hand. Comparing with the previous Punkt MP02 and my current Pixel 8, although the Light Phone has the same width as the Pixel 8, holding it still feels unfamiliar. In terms of overall handfeel, the Punkt MP02 is undoubtedly superior.

2. Screen: The Light Phone uses an OLED screen with a primarily black background and white text interface. Only when using the camera does it switch to a full-color interface, including the photo gallery which also displays in full color. Some users have mentioned that compared to E-Ink, the screen is less comfortable to look at for extended periods, which might be why some users switch to phones using E-Ink displays like the Mudita Pure.

3. Quality: Undoubtedly, this is a high-quality minimalist phone with character, on par with the Punkt MP02. From material selection to packaging design, you can see this company's commitment to quality. The only exception is the official protective case, which is made of plastic. Although it's inexpensive and offers good protection, once the case is on, the overall quality feel decreases significantly.

4. Functions: Additional functions can be added via the website, which is intuitive and convenient. For the calendar, it can be linked to Google Calendar, and although it can only synchronize with the primary calendar, it's already quite convenient. The interface can properly display Traditional Chinese characters. The notebook function allows adding notes via the website that can be viewed on the phone, useful as a to-do list. The contacts feature supports importing vcf files, but the data is stored in the company's cloud, which raises some privacy concerns for me.

Next, I'll spend time getting to know this minimalist phone's features better, including the anticipated two-step shutter button, photo quality, battery life, and more.

自從中華電信於2024年6月30日關閉 3G 網路之後，使用近三年的 Punkt MP02，收訊變得非常不好，經常無法撥接電話，或者是收發訊息；向中華電信反映後得知，可能原因為中華電信並未建立 Punkt MP02 的資料，導致系統無法辨識手機的機型，進而影響收訊。

因此便開始尋找下一台功能型手機(feature phone)，之前預購的 light phone 3 需等到明年二月才會出貨，且 light phone 主要使用者為家中的未成年子女，並非自己，而市面如 Punkt MP02 支援 Signal 加密通訊的功能性手機幾乎沒有，因此只好轉向智慧型手機(smart phone)。

自己關注 GrapheneOS 已經有一段時間，之前一直希望可以買到中古的 Google Pixel Phone，以安裝這個專注於隱私的作業系統，但中古市場上不易找到 Pixel Phone，因此只好等待降價時再購買非當季的機種，近期手機價格落到新台幣 15,000 元以下，因此便購入人生的第一台 Pixel。

購入之後，便依照 Side of Burritos 的介紹，將作業系統刷成 GrapheneOS，並依照相關影片細部調整內部設定，包含安裝 Google Play Store 的替代品(如. Aurora Store, Drodi-fy 與 Obtanium)、同步私有雲通訊錄的 DAVx5 與(最重要的) Signal Messenger，最後則安裝啟動器 Unlauncher，使操作頁面轉變成類似 Punkt MP02 與 Light Phone 的文字介面。

使用 Pixel 至今約一周，對於電池續航力感到滿意(畢竟有 4,575 mAh)，以我少量使用的情況，其電力至少可維持四天，且 Actua 螢幕非常漂亮，雖然自己很少會盯著螢幕看超過兩分鐘，中華電信收訊也改善了很多，通話品質則和 Punk MP02 不相上下。不滿意的地方，當然是它的體積與重量，畢竟已經習慣 MP02 袖珍的體積，Pixel 不容易放在口袋中，即便放入也非常沉重，這可能需要花一些時間來重新適應。

後續買了 Pixel 原廠保護殼與螢幕保護貼，並且買了 Apple Earpods(USB-C) 有線耳機，作為長時間通話的利器，畢竟不想長時間拿著如此重的手機，手會痠。依照 GrapheneOS 的官方文件，作業系統應該至少可以支援至 2030年10月，想想也是挺棒的。

After Chunghwa Telecom shut down its 3G network on June 30, 2024, the reception on my Punkt MP02, which I had been using for nearly three years, became very poor. I frequently couldn't make calls or send/receive messages. After reporting this to Chunghwa Telecom, I learned that the issue might be due to the carrier not having Punkt MP02's data in their system, making it difficult for the system to identify the phone model and affecting reception.

This led me to search for my next feature phone. The Light Phone 3 that I had pre-ordered won't ship until February next year, and the Light Phone is primarily for my underage children, not for myself. Since there are almost no feature phones on the market that support Signal encrypted communication like the Punkt MP02, I had to turn to smartphones.

I had been following GrapheneOS for quite some time, hoping to find a used Google Pixel Phone to install this privacy-focused operating system. However, finding Pixel Phones in the used market was challenging, so I decided to wait for price drops on non-current models. Recently, when the phone price fell below NT$15,000, I purchased my first Pixel.

After the purchase, following Side of Burritos' guide, I flashed GrapheneOS onto the device and made detailed adjustments to internal settings, including installing Google Play Store alternatives (such as Aurora Store, Drodi-fy, and Obtanium), DAVx5 for syncing private cloud contacts, and (most importantly) Signal Messenger. Finally, I installed the Unlauncher launcher to transform the interface into a text-based one similar to Punkt MP02 and Light Phone.

I've been using the Pixel for about a week now and am satisfied with the battery life (it has 4,575 mAh after all). With my minimal usage, the battery lasts at least four days. The Actua display is beautiful, although I rarely look at the screen for more than two minutes. Chunghwa Telecom's reception has improved significantly, and call quality is comparable to the Punkt MP02. The dissatisfying aspect is, of course, its size and weight. Having gotten used to the MP02's pocket-sized dimensions, the Pixel is difficult to carry in pockets, and even when it fits, it's very heavy. This might take some time to get used to.

Subsequently, I bought a Pixel original protective case and screen protector, along with Apple EarPods (USB-C) wired headphones for long calls, as I don't want to hold such a heavy phone for extended periods as it causes hand fatigue. According to GrapheneOS's official documentation, the operating system should be supported until at least October 2030, which I think is quite impressive.

2021 年當我在選購功能型手機時，便注意到 light phone 2 這支使用電子墨水(E-Ink)螢幕的功能型手機，今年六月，這家公司推出了第三代的 light phone。

第三代的 light phone 捨棄了原本的 E-Ink 螢幕，改為 3.92 吋的 AMOLED 螢幕，尺寸為 106mm x 71.5mm x 12mm，重量 124 克。傳輸介面從原本的 micro-usb 升級為 type-c，並在前後各增加一個鏡頭：前 800 萬畫素，後 5,000 萬畫素，容量 128 GB，記憶體 6 GB，電池 1,800 毫安培，而且支援電池的(維修)更換，它還包含 GPS、藍芽 5.0、NFC 及指紋解鎖等功能，並支援 IP54 防水。

當我看見宣傳照時，便愛上了這支功能型手機，特別是它的二階段快門鈕(two-step shutter button)設計，也就是我們過去熟悉的「半按對焦、全按快門」的拍照模式，讓我直呼 light phone 3 是一支「可以打電話的相機。」它的外型設計，讓我想起過去的 iPhone SE，只是更寬、更厚，而 light phone 3 的鏡頭設計，不同於現在的主流「鏡頭島」，它採全平面設計，也就是您可以安穩地將手機放在桌上，不會因為背部的鏡頭而突起。

目前預購要等到 2025 年一月才會出貨，這家公司會針對這支手機開發出什麼樣的軟體，他們還沒有一個清楚的方向，不過看看初始的配備，是相當讓人期待的，不是嗎？

When I saw light phone 3, I fell in love with it. Especially its' two-step shutter button which reminds me of the good old "camera" day. Its' body design made me think of the old iPhone, only wider and thicker. Finally, its' repairable battery and sturdy material made this phone quite durable.

It will start to ship in Jan 2025. Even though this company has no idea what kind of features they are going to develop. But with these specs, it is very exciting to see its' future development. Isn't it?

Punkt MP02 入手

20 年秋天，受到唐鳳(@audreyt)的感召，開始使用功能型手機 Nokia 8110 4G，與智慧型手機分手的這 18 個月感到無比的自由，雖然外出時已經習慣「離線」，但是偶爾還是會需要與家人傳訊息來報平安，且原本的月租費即包含行動數據連線，因此便開始尋找可以支援點對點加密通訊軟體(ex. Signal)的功能型手機。在尋找的過程中，發現 Punkt MP02、The Light Phone 2 及 Mudita Pure 這三支功能型手機，但是當初均不支援這類型的通訊軟體，當然，也曾經祈禱 Signal 可以支援 Nokia 8110 4G 的 KaiOS 作業系統，但這從來沒有發生。

21 年春天，Punkt 推出支援 Signal 的通訊軟體 Pigeon (鴿子)，從那時候便開始關注這支手機，年底 Punkt 推出新款的 MP02，新舊款的差別是移除了 Blackberry Secure。今年初，便下訂了這支小巧可愛的手機，使用 MP02 至今約一週，感到很滿意，它的待機時間大約三天(使用不頻繁，偶收發訊息)，支援正體中文輸入(注音)；在啟用 Pigeon 時會遇到一些困難，需要不斷的按 0 更新 CAPTCHA 直到可以勾選圖片，才有辦法通過機器人驗證，大約 10 分鐘可以解決；在收發訊息及通話則完全沒有問題，通話的品質相當的好；握持的感覺很棒，僅 100 克的重量，應該是我用過最輕巧的手機，非常喜歡。

Good Reports: Best mobile devices 這篇文章探討尊重隱私的設備(privacy-focus devices)，認為 Punkt MP02 的作業系統是開放式的 Android，依然會有受到監控的風險，因此不推薦；Good Reports 推薦 The Light Phone 2 或 Mudita Pure，因為他們的作業系統都是自行開發設計，與 Android 與 iOS 相較，受到監控的風險較低。回到 Punkt MP02，雖然它是 Android 系統，但是其內部軟體並無 Google 所設計，例如 Gmail, Google Maps, Youtube 等等，因此照理來說，行為受到 Google 監控的風險應該是較低的。且 Punkt Tronics 這間瑞士的公司為了追求通訊的隱私，還自行開發了支援 Signal 點對點加密通訊協定的 Pigeon，這在功能型手機中應是絕無僅有，即便目前 Pigeon 依舊屬於開發階段，充其量僅能算雛鳥，但是基本功能包含傳訊、通話都沒有太大的問題。光是這點就足以鼓勵，不是嗎？

I've been used Nokia 8110 for 18 months. It's a good phone, which has a custom OS, removable battery, and a reasonable price. I used it to call, send text message, and wifi-tethering. But sometimes, there is still need to send message or call my family through internet. Then, I started to look for a feature phone which support the end-to-end encryption message(i.e. Signal). There are 3 feature phones I like: Punkt MP02, Light Phone 2, and Mudita Pure, but none of these support end-to-end encryption message then. I even wished Signal could support the KaiOS which 8110 use. But unfortunately it never happened.

In the spring of 2021, Punkt announced the new feature "Pigeon", which is based on the Signal Message Network. In the end of 2021, Punkt had the "NEW" MP02 which basically was the same MP02 without the blackberry secure. Then I bought it. After a week, I found that the phone has an elegant design, great call quality, and good battery performance(at least 3 days of normal use). And the most important thing, the Pigeon which works just fine, now I can call and send message to my family on Signal network. I'm very satisfied.

I've read a article about the privacy-focus device. It doesn't recommend Punkt MP02 because it is an android. It recommend the light phone 2 & mudita pure because they are not android or iOS. Well, I thought MP02 is fine on its privacy because there is no google app on it. After all, MP02 is the only feature phone which support Signal network. It is great, isn't it?

iPad mini or Nova3 Color

自從去年八月換了功能型手機 Nokia 8110 4G 之後，已經戒斷低頭使用手機與保持隨時連線的狀態，但，偶爾出差還是有收發信件(訊息)、處理公文或閱讀 RSS 資訊的需求，因此這一年持續有購買八吋以下平板電腦的念頭，希望它好攜帶且能滿足短暫連網的需求。綜觀市面八吋以下的平板電腦，iPad mini 及 Android tablet 似乎是唯二的選擇。

九月，第六代 iPad mini 發表之後，其外型深得我心，且搭載最新的處理器以及跟得上潮流的 USB-C 介面，看了心頭癢癢，但，後來考量到自己即將邁入四十，且工作已長時間使用 LCD 螢幕，再買一台會發光的 LCD 裝置於下班後使用，長期累積下來對於視力恐有不良的影響，且家中還有兩個小孩，因此便轉向考慮 E-INK 閱讀器。

年初工作環境購置了一台文石 Nova3，短暫使用過後感覺良好，其 E-INK 螢幕對於眼睛較為友善，且 Nova3 搭載開放式 Android 系統，可安裝許多程式以增加工作效率，更何況，Nova3 本身對於許多文件的支援程度高，用來檢視文字檔再合適不過，惟，目前許多程式對於 E-INK 的支援程度不佳，屏除了顏色，程式介面的選項很多時候僅能依靠經驗法則來猜測。

半年前，文石便推出了 Nova3 color 彩色 E-INK 閱讀器，其規格與 Nova3 相同，差別只在於顯示器，不過，多了彩色的顯示技術，讓 Nova3 可使用性大為提升，Nova3 color 與 iPad mini 相較，兩者螢幕採取不同的顯示技術，其反應速度與色彩表現完全無法比較，但是，為了自己的健康著想，還是選擇一個友善的設備 Nova3 color。

Last year, I swiched from iPhone to Nokia 8110 4G(feature phone). I did a digital detox, which means no more phubbing or social-networking. However, I sometimes need to do E-mails, offfice works, text message, and RSS when I am on a work trip. Therefore, I kept looking for a smaller tablet(iOS or Android). This September, Apple launched the new iPad mini, which has a new processer, modern design, and USB-C interface. I really like it. But, I look at the growing LCD monitor almost 8 hours a day. Therefore, the E-INK reader might be a better choice. I had used the Onyx Boox Nova3 for a while. It's a Android E-INK tablet, which means you can install many prductive apps on it. This March, Onyx launched the Nova3 color. After few days for consideration, I bougt the Nova3 color, which is good for my eyes and the life of digital detox.

目前手邊的 E-INK 閱讀器為 Amazon Kindle Keyboard，使用至今已經11年，很喜歡它長寬的比例以及它的重量(246克)，加上機器背部的防滑材質，單手拿著亦十分穩固。近期因工作需要而採購了一台 Onyx Boox Nova 3，這台閱讀器採用 Android 的作業系統，因此可以安裝許多APP，但是否合適於 E-INK 螢幕上顯示，又是另外一回事。

Nova3 的重量與 Kindle 相差不多(265克 v 246克)，但 Nova3 尺寸較為大且背部沒有防滑材質，因此要單手把持有些難度，還是用雙手會比較穩固。Nova3 的處理器及記憶體效能高，因此要執行 APP，其流暢性堪比主流智慧型手機，Nova3 的觸控螢幕與 Kindle 的按鍵式相比，其更為直覺且快速。

拿 2010 年的機器和 2021 年的機器相比，似乎有些不公平，但是藉由這兩個世代的產品相互比較，其實可以發現 E-INK 電子閱讀器的發展是非常地緩慢，畢竟這類型產品的銷售量較無法引起科技業的興趣，因此投入的研發資金想必就會少許多。

曾經，想使用 Nova3 來取代手邊的 iPad，但後來失敗，主要的原因還是許多 APP 不支援 E-INK 顯示技術，有許多色彩無法呈現，便導致功能無法彰顯。因此，即便是採用開放式的 Android 系統，E-INK 電子閱讀器能夠拓展的應用仍有限制。

但是，以電子閱讀器本身來說，Nova3 仍舊是一個不錯的產品，它能夠安裝許多電子書城 APP，其閱讀體驗與原廠閱讀器是不相上下的，例如 Readmoo 或 Kobo 電子閱讀器等等。更何況，E-INK 這個小眾市場有廠商願意投入，都應該鼓勵的，不是嗎？

回到閱讀本身，如果將電子閱讀器與紙本相較，無疑我會投紙本一票，但是電子閱讀器能夠快速地傳播新的外文書籍資訊，且中文電子書在近年的發展，質與量都有顯著地改善，且本國公立圖書館亦能夠提供不少的電子書資源，方便讀者借閱。因此，如果可以，身為現代公民，建議應該擁有一台 E-INK 電子閱讀器，以及一張借書證。

I have used Amazon Kindle Keyboard for 11 years. Its' ratio and light-weight makes it easy to grab by one hand. Recently, I bought Onyx Boox Nova3, an Android E-Ink reader. That means I can install lots of app on Nova3.

Compared with Kindle Keyboard, Nova3 is easier to use. I tried to replace iPad with Nova3, but failed. Because lots of app don't support E-Ink display. But as an E-Ink reader, Nova3 is very good. I can install lots of E-reader app on it, including readmoo or kobo reading apps.

Comparing these two devices seems unfair. But as you can see, E-Ink's development is stagnant. After all, most company is not interested in the field. So, I think we should appreciate the E-Ink reader manufactures.

Back to reading itself, I will vote paper-book without hesitation. But I can know new books information through E-Books reader(store) much faster. Besides, the mandarin E-books market is mature now, and I can borrow lots of E-books through the public library. In the end, as a modern citizen, I think a E-Ink reader and a library card are equally important.

From Apple Music to Spotify

16 年 Apple Music 在台灣上線後，便開始訂閱，至今已經 5 年，前陣子改為訂閱 Spotify，沒想到，甫訂閱便發生大規模帳號密碼外洩的事件，而我也是受害者之一，雖然已經將密碼重設，但是目前依舊可以在裝置清單中看見駭客的登入裝置，這作為一個提醒自己密碼管理重要性真的是再適合不過。有鑑於此，便開始認真管理自己的密碼，過去，密碼管理方式是使用腦袋強記多組密碼，但隨著年紀超過 35 歲，發現自己已經無法記得那麼多東西，雖然之前曾經使用 1password，但是沒有真正的落實不同網站不同密碼的原則，後來甚至用最懶惰的瀏覽器紀錄密碼的功能，罔論定期更新密碼。最後，我選擇 KeePass 來進行密碼管理，將所有的網站都各自設定高強度的密碼，可開啟兩步驟驗證的網路服務，還是不嫌麻煩地都開啟，目的就是為了提高帳號密碼的安全性。

回到 Spotify，它提供不同串流音質的選擇，且播放程式執行流暢，在 Windows 的使用體驗顯然更勝於 Apple Music，想想那肥大的 iTunes(喔天那)。但，Spotify 將 Podcast 整併進去資料庫，我認為會讓版面顯得凌亂，這兩種不同的類型應該還是要做個切割才好。以曲目來說，我沒有感受到明顯的差異，只是 Apple Music 提供 iCloud 音樂資料庫的功能，這功能對於本身即有一些音樂的使用者來說是友善的，畢竟不是所有的音樂都有辦法在串流平台上搜尋的到，以我喜歡的樂團 65daysofstatic 來說，便有許多專輯是兩個平台都未收錄的。

Since Apple Music started in 2016, I had subscribed it. In November, I switched to Spotify. But it had mass user data leaking, I was the one of the 35,000 victims. Even now, I can still see the login device name in the app. So, I started to use password management app, which I choose KeePass to do this job. And, turn on the 2FA to make the account safer.

Back to Spotify, I think the streaming quality is much better than Apple Music. Second, the app works smoothly in Windows. But I really don't like the podcast feature in Spotify, which is annoying. But I still missed the feature of Apple Music's iCloud database. It is quite friendly for the listener with lots of music. After all, there's still some music that these platforms don't provide.

4 months with Nokia 8110

說實在，我沒有料到自己轉換使用「功能性手機」(feature phone)會如此的順利。

從使用多年的 iPhone 轉換成 Nokia 8110 至今已經四個月，8110 是一支搭載 KaiOS 的按鍵型手機，可以用來上網，但你絕不會想用它來上網，但是可以使用它來做行動上網熱點，曾經在出差時用過一次，這個功能對於電力的消耗大概是半天一顆電池。前陣子 iPhone 12 推出，自己曾偷偷到展示店去把玩 12 mini，其小巧的外型深得我心，但價格可以買十支 Nokia 8110，想一想還是作罷。如果真的要連網路辦事，還是使用平板電腦或筆記型電腦比較舒服，手機就讓它保持原本的通話功能即可。

當然，自己也曾經想讓 8110 變得「智慧」一點，就拿行事曆來說吧，8110 內建的行事曆軟體不支援 Google Calendar，加上資通安全管理法甫在學校推行(教育雲/伺服器集中管理)，為了將行事曆同步至 8110，將原本存放在 Google 的行事曆及通訊錄移動到自架的 NAS，但是成效實在不佳，主要是受限網速與 NAS 處理器與 Google 相較，實在是小巫見大巫，後來便放棄這個方案，走回存放 Google 的老路。因此，8110 對我而言，單純只有電話的功能，當然有時會拿它來當手電筒。

「捨棄智慧型手機，使用功能型手機」對自己的影響？

我認為是優點多過於缺點，包含自己不會再低頭看手機，不會時時檢查是否有人傳訊息，或者是瀏覽社群網路的資訊流，離開辦公室之後便是真正地離線，返家後更能專心陪伴家人。前陣子看了 Netflix 的電影「智能社會：進退兩能」(The Social Dilemma)，真的很慶幸自己已經脫離這個智能社會，不能說完全，但至少，我可以控制自己進入智能社會的時間，以及方式。

I have used Nokia 8110 for 4 months(iPhone before). Nokia 8110 is a feature phone with KaiOS. It is OK to go surfing, even though not friendly. But it can be used as a WIFI hot-spot, which consumes a battery in 4 hours. When the iPhone 12 went to the market, I went to store to play the lovely 12 mini. I really like it! But the price is too high to afford. Second, using a tablet or laptop is much comfortable than the smartphone.

Of course, I tried to make 8110 smarter. For example, the 8110 stock calendar app don't support google calendar. Besides, the Information and Communication Safety Law just announced. I moved my calendar and contact to my NAS in order to make calendar sync with 8110. But it is not efficient comparing with Google. So, I gave up. At the end, 8110 is still a feature phone for me. Sometimes I make phone call, sometime to make it a flash light.

Is is good to use feature phone?

I think the answer is YES. I don't need to check my phone to see if anyone message me. Or to read the social network stuff. When I get off office. I am offline. No more emails. No more messages. I can companion my family with no interruption. When I saw the Netflix movie "the social dilemma". I really appreciate the situation now:leaving the digital society. Not totally. At least, I can control when and how I go in it.

經營十四年的部落格

通常都是這個接近年末的時間點，會突然意識到自己還有個部落格，上禮拜花了一些時間整理這個經營十四年的部落格，雖然沒有多少文章，也沒有多少人訂閱，但它就這樣默默地存在，看自己以前寫的文章，是個很有趣的感覺，刪除了一百多篇廢文，也調整了一些缺圖的文章，讓版面稍微好看一些，並且整理文章的標籤(分類)，讓標籤名稱看起來較為精簡。

經營部落格的目的純粹是記錄自己的人生歷程，從大學到工作，結婚、生子、舉家遷移東部，這些改變都可以在部落格中看見，與手寫筆記相較，部落格是一個公開的環境，因此比較不會記錄私密的事情，它屬於一本公開的日記。

從二十二歲到三十六歲，這十四年的光陰，片段地記錄在這本公開日記中。能夠持續多久，自己也不清楚，開始到台東工作且兩個孩子出生之後，發表文章也銳減，不代表我沒有認真做紀錄，而是我在認真過生活，扎扎實實地把握每一天。

師大洪儷瑜教授於今年特殊教育年會的年刊序提及，「對於許多無預期的改變，一個人或單位單獨面對這樣的事實，確實難以兼顧，但是如果能夠一群人一起，志同道合的人共同合作，眾志成城將能有效地透過改變來成長。」引用洪儷瑜教授這一席話來敘述過去這一年我們做的事情，可以說是再貼切不過。

2019年9月10日，教育部公告「國立特殊教育學校及高級中等學校特殊教育教師每週教學節數標準」，其中對於高中資源班教師的不合理規範，迫使讓我們展開為期一年的請願運動，最終成功影響了教育行政規範的制定，以及促使教育部對於高中資源班人力資源進行合理化的調整。2020年11月28日，我們在特殊教育學會年會進行論文發表，題目是「來自基層的聲音一群高中資源班教師對於特殊教育行政規範制定的行動歷程與反思」，這份簡報完整記載這一年發生的事情，有興趣者可以自行下載。

Nokia 8110 4G

這是一個智慧型手機戒斷者的心路歷程。

回顧部落格的文章，14年就曾嘗試要戒掉智慧型手機(smart phone)，但，沒有成功。近日，耳聞唐鳳政委使用 Nokia 8110 這只功能型手機(feature phone)，便開始研究它，發現它有幾個吸引人的地方：待機長達 25 天、熱點分享(wifi hotspot)、不支援 Line 社群軟體。

目前市面上已經沒有官方版可以購買，只剩下國際版，藉著一次出差的機會，到台北地下街買了一只國際版回來，之後便開始搜尋我需要的軟體，目前使用的作業系統是 iOS，有兩個功能經常在智慧型手機上使用，包含：雲端發票(載具)、TOTP 雙重驗證。

Nokia 8110 4G 的作業系統是 KaiOS，官方沒有提供這兩種功能的軟體，只能透過越獄的方式才有辦法安裝第三方的軟體，因此便找到了 GerdaOS，這個開放的作業系統，刷機方式除官方提供的之外，BananaHacker 或 Martin Kaptein 的教學都值得一看。刷機之後，便安裝了 KaiAuth 這個 TOTP 軟體，至於雲端發票，只能將載具條碼截圖儲存於 8110 使用。B-Hacker Store 提供不少第三方軟體，但我不打算安裝太多的軟體，以免 8110 變得過於智慧，目前的作法是同時攜帶功能型手機與平板電腦，需要連網時再使用 8110 的熱點分享，於平板電腦上完成任務。我認為要完全戒斷智慧型手機，依舊困難，只能使用間接的方式讓連網變得不那麼方便，以減少使用智慧型手機的頻率。

好久不見，美好花生

幾年前，當它還是「好事花生」時，就知道這間店鋪，如今改名為「美好花生」，並且在新的店址營業，新的店鋪位於水田旁，是個一層樓的建築，外部放著幾張椅子與桌子，以及一壺奉茶供人取用，內部則有銷售櫃台以及小型的展示空間。

「美好花生」的銷售產品包含花生油、花生/芝麻醬、帶殼熟花生(黑仁/九號)，現場則有花生甜湯，與當初的玻璃罐裝熟花生仁相較，其產品更為多元，而目前新店鋪的設計風格亦符合當今簡約風潮，儼然已成為花蓮鳳林的觀光景點。近期受疫情及政治的影響，觀光客大幅減少，但美好花生透過網路銷售亦有辦法觸及長尾的客群—關心食物與環境的關係，大幅降低物理距離對於銷售量的影響。

看著一個專注花生銷售的品牌，在台灣東部日漸茁壯，真的是讓人很高興的一件事情。

Bye, Flickr Pro

09 年付費購買 flickr pro 的會員資格，至今已經 10 年，易主 SmugMug 之後的 flickr，原本期待它還能有所改變/創新，但唯一的改變是年費，是的，flickr 真的要漲價了。

I have been a flickr pro member since 2009. After flickr being sold to SmugMug, I have anticipated its innovation, but the only thing change is its annual fees. Yes, flickr increases its fees.

身為超過 10 年的使用者，對於這樣的漲價真的無法接受，除了是 flickr 無任何新增功能，再來是近年來上傳相片的次數已經大幅下降許多，是否依然需要付費購買圖床，一直困擾著我，這次的漲價也是我決定要與 flickr pro 分手的最後一根稻草。

As a 10 years pro member, I really can't accept its fees increases. Because it has no new functions, and I seldom uploaded photos in recent years. I wonder if I should keep the pro membership. This fees increases had made me to unsubscribe pro.

不可否認，flickr 依舊是世界上最棒的攝影師交流的空間，但是這些年隨著 Facebook/Instagram 帝國的擴張，flickr 除了不受投資人的青睞，使用者也逐漸流失，這也是 flickr 決定要漲價的(背後)原因。

It goes without saying, flickr is still the best photo-loving community. But in the Facebook/Instagram era, flickr is hard to compete with it. I think it is the reason why it has to increase fees.

雖然沒有 flickr pro，但 flickr free(1,000 張/公開/有廣告)，搭配 Apple iCloud 共享相簿(5,000 張/私人/無廣告)，我想應該就足以應付目前的需求。

Without flickr pro, I think flickr free(1,000 photos/public/ad) plus the Apple iCloud photo sharing feature(5,000 photos/private/no ad) are quite enough for me.

RHA MA650 Wireless 藍芽耳機

原本使用的耳機是 Westone UM1，用來連結手機(及電腦)聽音樂，但因為手機的耳機孔變形，無法正常連接，曾經用 Lighting to 3.5 mm headphone jack 頂了一陣子，後來心想在這個連 3.5 音源孔都顯得老派的時代？是否也該順應潮流換個藍芽耳機，就開始物色到底該選那種類型的藍芽耳機..

RHA TrueConnect

耳塞式(入耳式)是我的首選，原本是鎖定 RHA TrueConnect，它的外型和 AirPods 比較，我比較可以接受，但是發表至今台灣還是沒有正式上市，若是從日本買水貨，價格也要七千多元新台幣，後來就作罷。

因為習慣 UM1 配戴的感覺，曾經考慮 Westone Wx，但無法接受垂在後耳的控制器便作罷，在一個偶然的機會試聽 RHA MA650 wireless，便對它留下深刻的印象，再爬了一些文看了一些評價，最後就選擇它了。

MA650 是一個折衷的方案，雖然它沒有 AirPods 的輕便，但是 MA650 有較長的使用時間(12 hrs)，可以接受的價格(5,000元以下)，以及3年的保固(普遍僅有1年保固)。我對於藍芽耳機的要求，包含配戴舒適、使用時間長、連線穩定、音質中上，就算是一副好的耳機，至於 MA650 是否屬於好耳機，跟它相處兩個禮拜，我覺得它很不錯，除了那過長的耳機線之外..

feedly Pro

2013年7月，Google Reader 關閉，之後移到 feedly，至今使用超過五年，趁著今年的 Black Friday Sales，訂閱了一年的 feedly pro，說實在，訂閱的目的不是為了它額外的功能，純粹就是當個香油錢，感謝它們免費提供穩定的服務，讓我這個 RSS 讀者有個棲身之地。

是說在社群媒體當道的年代，使用 RSS 的使用者應該是日益減少的，過去這一年，觀察到有愈來愈多的訊息是封閉在特定的社群媒體、抑或是特定通訊軟體的社群中，這會造成正、負面影響，正面影響當然是信息透過推播的方式，快速地讓使用者得知；負面影響則是信息的真假，缺少一個驗證的機制，這對缺少理性判斷能力的使用者造成很大程度的影響。

先前紐約時報製作了一系列的報導，談到俄羅斯在假新聞(dis-information)的歷史沿革，以及假新聞在當代美國政治所產生的影響，看完這系列的影片，會發現要操弄(manipulate)人民其實不難，而網路網路的普及更降低了製造假新聞的門檻。

2019 年，期許自己能夠不用社群媒體，並提升自己分辨假新聞的能力。

經濟學人與紐約時報

2018年即將結束，這一年我居然沒有讀完一本書，但是今年訂閱了兩個新聞，包含經濟學人(The Economist)及紐約時報(New York Times)，雖然目前兩者均已暫時取消訂閱，但2019年我依舊會在兩者之間進行選擇。

紐約時報的收費非常低廉，一個禮拜的費用為大概新台幣30元，經濟學人的收費則大概一個禮拜100元(12週1,170元)。紐約時報每天出刊，付費會員可以無限制閱讀新聞，並且有額外的服務，例如 Crosswords, NYT Cooking 等，經濟學人每周出刊，付費會員同樣可以無限制閱讀刊物，以及行動裝置端 Espresso 的每日新聞推播服務。經過幾個月的使用，我比較喜歡經濟學人，因為它的內容呈現較為平均，包含各個國家的政經、環境的報導文章，且它一個禮拜出刊一次的頻率，讓我可以有時間進行閱讀，經濟學人除了提供文字報導，另外也提供語音版本，可以當作有聲書來聆聽。紐約時報很好，但是付費會員依舊會看到廣告(包含電腦及行動裝置)，這讓我很不喜歡，但是紐約時報的多媒體是非常豐富的，所製作的短片也都很精采，而且它的觀點是與川普政府對立，光是這點就值得去閱讀。我認為兩者都是好的新聞媒體，收費合理，在這個資訊紛亂的時代，與其被台灣的新聞媒體洗腦(公共電視除外)，倒不如花一些小錢訂閱優質的外國新聞媒體。

沖洗相片與網路相簿

很久沒有沖洗相片了。

小女兒最喜歡做的事情，除了看書，就是翻翻相簿，只是，相簿裡的照片大多數都是大女兒的，沒有小女兒的，連一張都沒有。為了解決這個問題，我便著手整理手機及電腦中的照片，使用點點印沖洗了400多張，沖洗出來的結果都挺不錯的。

自從使用 iPhone 之後，便很少使用 Ricoh GRD 及 Olympus E510 拍照，這兩台機器就這樣靜靜地躺在防潮箱中。前陣子，還特別跑去高雄的益昌相機維修店，將底片相機 Olympus Mju-2 的電池蓋修理好，並且從老家將舊的相機 Ricoh CX1 帶過來，打算給大女兒練習拍照使用。因此目前家中可以使用的相機有四台：Ricoh CX1, Ricoh GRD, Olympus E510 and Olympus Mju-2，不過最常使用的還是手邊的 iPhone SE。

為了尊重兩個女兒的隱私，我幾乎沒有將她們的照片上傳，因此，上傳照片便成為一個很少從事的行為，前陣子，Flickr 易主後更改了策略，對於免費用戶限制只能儲存 1,000 張的照片，我從 2008 年便開始成為付費的使用者，至今滿 10 年，原本有考慮是否要停止付費，後來考量到(~~已被綁架的~~) 4,062 張照片，便選擇繼續續約，或許，我會為了年費，積極的拍照並進行上傳，或許吧。當然，與其放在封閉的 Facebook 或 Instagram，或者是自己的私有雲，或許繼續使用 Flickr 是我"雖不滿意但能接受"的選擇吧。至於該如何與家人分享小朋友的照片，我目前是使用 iCloud 與家人共享相簿，這樣的方式既方便又不會擔心隱私的問題。

自從孩子來了之後，購買3C產品的機會愈來愈少，能維修就盡量維修，能買舊款就不買新款。上一次購買的音響是2012年10月7日的Altec Lansing IMT620，至今已經使用6年，IMT620 主要是放在廚房，播放 iPhone 的音樂，今年2月為了撥放 iPhone 5S 的音樂，而特別去買了 Lighting 的轉接頭，希望 IMT620 的生命可以再延續個幾年，沒想到因為二女兒的調皮將 IMT620 的連接介面扯壞，因此不得不開始尋找另一台音響。

預算差不多在新台幣 5,000 元以內，找到了 JBL Charge 3 以及 UE Boom 3 這兩台藍芽音響，因為所在地沒有專門的音響店可以試聽，因此只能透過 Youtube 的影片去知道它的音效，當然也爬了幾篇文章，以及 Amazon 上面的顧客回饋。後來選擇 UE Boom 3，純粹是它的外觀比較討喜，放在廚房的濾水器旁還蠻協調的(冏)。

根據2011年的資料顯示，國內橄欖油的市佔率不到1%，這些橄欖油有的是在產地裝瓶再進口、有的則是將橄欖油(桶裝)進口再進行分裝，人良油坊採取比較不一樣的方式：「將新鮮的橄欖急速冷凍後，海運來台灣再進行壓榨。」

也是因為這樣獨特的做法，我們北上走訪這家位於台北市巷弄間的橄欖油磨坊，它與細粒籽油工房相同，店面的配置都包含加工區及販售區，惟，人良油坊多了開放式廚房以及座位區。

將義大利生產的新鮮橄欖急速冷凍，海運到台灣榨油，這種做法的優點在於消費者可以清楚的看到橄欖進入榨油機，並且壓榨成橄欖油，與其它販售方式相較，透明許多；缺點就在於橄欖急速冷凍及運送過程所產生的碳足跡，無法去忽視。

如果能夠使用台灣生產的橄欖來榨油，這或許是一個比較健康的方式，但是問題來了，本國種植橄欖的農人太少，氣候、土壤以及技術都需要克服，另外一個問題是，其所生產的高單價橄欖油，只能涼拌不能煎炒，對於本國人的烹調習慣實在是一大挑戰。這也是為什麼大豆(沙拉)油會一直暢銷，因為它便宜、它好用，至於對人體是否有益，這就有待研究去證實了。

我需要一些動力來寫部落格。

2017年，僅張貼了一則文章，2018年，已經過了將近一半，卻連一篇都生不出來。別說部落格，現在連發個推都沒有動力，多數的推文都是文章/推文的轉貼，目前推特對我來說比較像是書籤，用來記錄一些值得收藏的文章，如果值得分享給臉書的(同溫層)朋友知道，則在那則推文上面加上 #fb 的 hashtag。

我想沒有動力書寫的主要原因，除了工作之外，再來就是家庭，或許等到今年8月份回任原本的職務，重回自己熟悉/熱愛的工作，會有較多的時間留給網路上的自己。我不是一個熱愛網路社交的人，因此臉書書寫絕對、絕對不是我的選項，為什麼堅持在部落格書寫，我想最大的原因還是：部落格可以讓我安靜地紀錄一些東西，不需要去顧慮太多的因素，包含人際關係、網路互動、資料保存、隱私權等等。

這篇文章同時發布在 medium，原本想搬家過去的，但後來想到搬過去也不會更新，就作罷了，還是乖乖待在 Blogger 吧，畢竟現在也支援 HTTPS 瀏覽自訂網域的網誌，很棒不是嗎？

2017年4月，我們買了生平的第二部車 Mazda 3 尊榮版，與 2008年的第一部車 Suzuki SX4 相較，空間大了不少，但對於四人的小家庭而言，只能說是「雖不滿意，但能接受」的選擇，在購車的過程，我們比較了 Subaru Impreza、Ford Focus 及 Hyundai Elantra，以下是整個購車的過程。

我們居住在台東，返鄉時都得行經南迴公路，南迴公路的彎路多，因此對於新車的需求之一就是「車輛行駛的穩定性」，原先鎖定的車輛是搭載「四輪驅動」及「水平對臥引擎」的 Subaru Impreza，同時比較的車款還包含 Mazda 3及 Ford Focus。在當時，Subaru Impreza 及 Hyundai Elantra 均尚未上市，因此僅能先去試乘 Mazda 3 及 Focus。

在試乘之後，對於 Mazda 3 及 Focus 均留下深刻的印象：Focus 有著相當運動化設定及強勁的馬力，然而它的「內裝設計」是我們較不喜歡的地方；Mazda 3 則有著較佳的內、外質感，且新搭載的動態管理系統(G-Vectoring Control, G.V.C.)使得行駛的穩定性有顯著的改善，然而 Mazda 3「低矮的座椅」是我們稍有微詞的地方，而這兩部車的車室空間都是同樣侷促的。之後上網作功課，知道 Ford 有變速箱的疑慮後，便刪除 Focus 這個選項，因為真的不想要冒這個風險阿。

Subaru Impreza

2017年2月，Subaru Impreza 在台灣上市，雖然我們很喜歡它，包含它的外型、車室空間及四輪驅動，但我們很快就放棄它了，為什麼呢？主要原因有二：「不穩定的後勤」及「昂貴的零件費」，對於像我這樣受薪階級而言，買部 Subaru 的車子真的要很有愛阿！

因此，最後就只剩下 Mazda 3 及甫上市的 Hyundai Elantra 這兩個選項，Elantra 的外型真的很漂亮，但是內裝的設計就不如 Mazda 3，雖然未曾實際試乘過 Elantra，但從網路試乘的影片得知，行駛起來的穩定性應該是不相上下的。但後來我們還是決定買 Mazda 3，為什麼呢？理由包含以下幾點：

車內質感較佳
聰明的變速箱
座椅包覆性佳
新的動態管理系統能有效抑制側傾的問題
原廠車機操控方便、美觀且合乎邏輯

整體而言，Mazda 3 是一個均衡的選項，它結合了不錯的外型及操控表現，再加上合宜的價格及穩定的後勤，真的很難讓人不得不選它阿。

10年15萬公里持有成本推估
