Hi y’all!  I had our lovely graphics girl Miss Jessica work these up for my own children and thought you might like them also!  Just save the PDF to your hard drive and print away.  I printed mine at my local copy store on white cardstock.  The process is super simple and perfect for your little ones to help with construction.  I layered ours on red polkadot paper, punched a whole in the corner and tied the whole thing up with some ribbon.  Super easy!  My son Jack chose to use swedish fish but you could use goldfish crackers if you’d rather not use candy.  Two of them would work really well with gummy worms also.  This is an excellent activity to practice counting skills!  Get the fish valentines here and the donut hole valentine here.  THESE ARE FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY!

We designed these ones for really special people, like grandma, grandpa, best friends and of course teachers!  Jack told me after checking this out that he could NOT give this to his teacher!  His teacher is a boy and wouldn’t like pink and he wasn’t going to marry Mr. Condie so it can’t say “love”.  Aren’t little boys the funniest?!  So, we designed one that was a tad more masculine and swapped out “like” for “love”.  These were inspired by these.

Christmas is coming and I am a Christmas Junkie!

I’m going to let you in on a few of my favorite things about Christmas and then Share a fun little tutorial and a give away!

Favorite Decoration

Do you have a favorite decoration? I really love everything that I have collected over the years. But this is my favorite (today)

In the early 70′s my Mom bought one of those cool felt ornament kits that had quirky ornaments to make:Orange and Olive bells, Maroon and pink Victorian boots with a mouse peaking out of the top, frightening angels, and pink poodles. Mom still puts them on her tree along with 32, 000 other ornaments. I love her tree.

A few years ago she let me borrow the ornaments to make copies. My favorite, of course, is the pink poodle.

I am not sure exactly where the pink poodle fits into the Christmas story but I imagine that there was probably a Shepherd that really like pink and instead of coming to the stable with his sheep or sheep dog he brought his fancy pink Sheep Poodle!

Christmas Tradition

It is almost impossible to pick one tradition that is my favorite. One of them has to be the Christmas Nativity that we do every year at my In-law’s house. All of the Grand kids have to participate even if they are grown up. The way one of them finally escaped doing it was by having kids of his own and making them go in as a substitute.

 Look at all of those happy faces!

This is one of the calmer pictures. It reminds me of the story “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”.

Christmas FOOD

Oh Yeah. Christmas is about food for my family!

well…the Birth of The Savior and what we are going to eat while we celebrate it.

Probably my very favorite treat is my Mom’s fudge.

I love going there Christmas morning, cracking open a frosty Diet Coke and eating my body weight in fudge. Mmmmmm.

Here’s a super easy fudge recipe- make sure you put in plenty of Walnuts!

Giftie For You

This little cutie nugget is my niece. I could just munch her!

 Anyway….I whipped up a little Christmas party skirt and Sweet heart applique for sweetie girls to wear to all of the fun holiday parties using my Delicious Wishes fabric that should be coming to stores near you soon!

It is feeling a lot like Fall in Utah.

The colors of the mountains are unreal this year. Maybe it’s like this every year and I just forgot.

I have been working on Christmas gifts in my spare time and have checked a few gifties off of my list.

Today I conquered the Neighbor Gifts

Instead of sewing them the usual Hot Pad or Oven Mitt,

or letting Jeff over spend making them all Christmas treats

I made Strawberry JAM.  I know! I can’t believe it either.

It was simple, inexpensive, and look at how lovely it is.  I think we will deliver this with a hot loaf of home made bread about a week before Christmas.
