This was a event hosted by Michigan Avenue Magazine and also being taped for E! Entertainment for the tv show “Giuliana and Bill”. This was a night of lots of competing cameras, a horde of people everywhere, and fast paced pick up and go ENG style work.

After the shoot I pieced together this highlight clip to be used on the Michigan Avenue Magazine website.

Sometimes when you say you don’t like something people keep pushing it on you. These are normally the people that once you ask to stop will disregard your request and only ask harder. This normally then getting into a argument. Which then translates into your fault somehow.

All this because you voiced your thoughts on a subject that the other person opposed. This is a topic that I have misunderstood for years, as I like any other person have thoughts and idea’s on things and welcome people who think differently on the subject. Where I get annoyed is the people that think differently on the subject but instead of giving a open ended conversation- choose to only listen to themselves and anyone who differs from them is “wrong”.

It’s a sad fact but something that I think most of us have dealt with at some point or another. My point is highlighted by 2 fuzzy bears- enjoy.

This is my first in a long time off in writing sketch comedy, mainly for the lack of a group or others to collab with if nothing else. I saw videos posted from people off Xtranormal and thought it to be a great way to get back into the swing of things without having to film, cast, or shoot everything myself.

The result was this, a project I’m calling Social Media funtime. Hopefully it will allow me to get back into the swing of things, vent some personal views, and put something new out there. Of course for those of you who don’t know me or my writing style, its very straight forward and without holding punches. I have always thought of my style as not meaning to directly offend anyone but just looking at things from my point of view. Normally this means exposing things that people take for granted or are to blind in my view to see for their own.

I hate people who don’t have their own thoughts and that follow others just because its the “thing to do”. That being said, I’m not sure what will come out of this series but I’m sure it will be the same kind of things that I have always thought of, as random and off topic as they might be.

This was the first official shoot of the summer as well as the first official photoshoot with my new camera, such a difference over the Nikon D700 (in a good way mind you). The day was planned as a nice downtown urban vibe mixed with a beach set, the weather didn’t agree with this though and decided to rain a good part of the morning. We tried to wait it out but finally I decided to just find a dry place and start shooting. That turned into dragging the girls underground in the wet tunnels and streets of downtown Chicago, which actually turned out to be quite nice.

This is my second photoshoot with Whitney but my first with Holly, they are friends so everything worked out smoothly and even though the weather didn’t turn till we had to break and go back home- I feel that we got a few urban-ish alternative Vogue like shots. Mainly this was just a test to play with the new camera and many more will be coming soon in both photography and film as this sucker does both wonderfully.

This was the rough cut demo video I sent to the band the New Loud for their approval in the process of writing the script for the music video “Get Lost”. I had already pitched the idea and we set a shoot date but I wanted to visually show them some of the shots and camera moves that I was thinking for the video.

After I drew up the storyboards, I got with my friend and fellow cameraman Sebastien Audinelle along with his niece who was in America for 2 months from France, Marion Audinelle. The 3 of us over the course of 2 mornings and about 2 hours shot a basic rough of the locations and angles with practical effects that I was planning for the final shoot. The result was a combination of those shots and the storyboards mixed in a Final Cut Pro timeline and uploaded to youtube for final approval.

I’ve not touched the video (which is why there are parts that look super dark) and some of the shots/storyboards from this video and slideshow didn’t make it into the crazy one day final shoot, although it is amazing to see how many did and which ones match perfectly.
