Ele elaborou um artigo –  digno  de &amp;quot;enciclopédia&amp;quot; – relacionando não só o uso da primeira opção,  mas o  oposto: MTB para treinos de Speed. &lt;br&gt;   Com uma explicação, simples,  dinâmica e descontraída, Hugo mostra  porque é considerado um dos maiores  treinadores de bicicletas do país.  Confiram:&lt;br&gt;   "Os atletas de MTB  me perguntam: é interessante ter uma bicicleta de  "speed" para eu  treinar? Na verdade os ciclistas nunca me perguntam o  oposto, mas também  para o ciclista é interessante efetuar treinos de  MTB? Do ponto de  vista da fisiologia do exercício, a resposta para as  duas perguntas é um  afirmativo SIM. Existe ainda o fator psicológico  que também conta muito  na hora: dar uma mudada de ares.&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; :: Treinos de Speed para o Mountain Bike&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt;   Vamos  começar pelo uso do ciclismo (bike de speed) a favor do  mountain bike. A  base como todos devem saber é o primeiro componente de  um treinamento  metódico e bem feito. Esta fase envolve uma intensidade  baixa para  estimular o uso da gordura como primeira fonte de energia  (isso ensina o  corpo a economizar glicogênio), com um volume alto para  estimular as  células e enzimas responsáveis pelo sistema aeróbico. É  muito mais  correto efetuar a maioria dos treinos de base em outras  fases na bike de  speed, porquê:&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt;   1 - O estímulo aeróbico é bem maior uma vez que, o  treino na speed o  ritmo é constante e melhor para monitorar – o pedal  sai redondo. Se  você treina de MTB, a cadência, a velocidade e a  potência não serão  constantes. É claro que por questões financeiras o  atleta pode "tunar"  sua MTB para ser utilizada no asfalto. Melhora sim,  mas não substitui  totalmente pela bike de speed. Tendo falado isso, na  fase de base é  importante que o atleta ande pelo menos 2 vezes por  semana em sua MTB,  considerando que um treinamento deve conter no mínimo  4 dias de treinos  por semana.&lt;br&gt;   2 - Vários intervalos específicos  devem ser efetuados na speed para  ter uma maior repetibilidade e também  para que o atleta não desfoque  dos intervalos por causa de pedras,  obstáculos que exigem técnica e  terreno variado de MTB; o que obviamente  vai atrapalhar por completo o  objetivo específico de cada intervalo.  &lt;br&gt;   3  - O medidor de potência é a melhor ferramenta para um treinamento   ideal, mas seu alto custo impede até mesmo os atletas – com condições –   de terem um desses na speed e na MTB. Eu, por exemplo, só tenho na  minha  speed e TODOS os meus intervalos específicos são feitos na bike  de  speed. Divido meus treinos em 50% de ciclismo e 50% de MTB.&lt;br&gt;   4 -  Por fim, porque vocês acham que um atleta especialista em provas  de  maratona não tende a ir bem nas provas de XC? Na minha opinião, o   principal culpado se chama sistema neuromuscular. Os atletas de maratona   tendem a girar mais e manter um ritmo constante, assim o sistema   neuromuscular desses bikers foram ensinados durante anos a manter uma   velocidade de perna alta (cadência), sem alterar muito o ritmo de pedal,   igual acontece nas provas de XC. Torna-se evidente que o treinamento   com uma bike de ciclismo na estrada vai ajudar muito esses atletas ou os   iniciantes que querem andar bem de maratona.&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; :: E os ciclistas? O que eles ganham nessa troca?  &lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; Quem  acha que ciclismo não exige técnica e habilidade sobre duas rodas  esta  ligeiramente enganado. Lance já nos provou isso no Tour uma vez  lembram?  Aquela cena foi clássica e histórica. O mountain bike pode  ajudar os  ciclistas a evoluirem no ciclismo nas seguintes hipóteses: &lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt;   1 -  Como comentando o uso esporádico de uma mountain bike para um  ciclista  pode ajudá-lo a adquirir técnica, fazendo com que esse atleta  tenha mais  sucesso. Podendo evitar colisões  desviando corretamente de  carros em  treinamentos e caminhoneiros que insistem em manter a  ignorância de não  nos respeitar, e simples obstáculos como um buraco ou  um "bump" em uma  estrada.&lt;br&gt;   2 - Além da técnica, o ciclista pode também ter uma MTB  para aliviar  um pouco mais os impactos diários dos treinos de ciclismo.  Um ciclista  acima de 50 anos com hérnia de disco, por exemplo, por mais  que tenha a  melhor bicicleta de speed, vai encontrar em uma boa mountain  bike  maior conforto e alívio para as suas costas e seu corpo em geral.&lt;br&gt;   3  - O mountain bike para o ciclista pode também ajudá-lo a trabalhar   alguns membros superiores com mais afinco, ajudando o mesmo a obter um   melhor equilíbrio muscular.&lt;br&gt;   4 - Na OFF SEASON, fase da  periodização, caracterizada por um  descanso ativo através de outras  atividades físicas, o ciclista pode  encontrar no mountain bike uma  segunda alternativa para se manter ativo  depois de uma cansativa  temporada na magrela, fazendo assim uma  manutenção da forma física junto  a natureza, envolvendo outro esporte  de pedalar.&lt;br&gt;   5 - Por fim,  parece bobagem, mas o mountain bike é uma atividade  longe de grandes  cidades urbanas que são bastante poluídas. Dizem que  morar na poluição  da grande São Paulo equivale a um ser humano fumar  dois cigarros por  dia. Como tenho certeza que todos nos temos NOJO  dessa droga, praticar o  mountain bike pode dar uma aliviada até nos  seus pulmões.&lt;br&gt;   Bom,  se você pedala mountain bike ou ciclismo já está de bom tamanho,  mas  espero que essa artigo abra ainda mais o horizonte de todos vocês  sobre  os benefícios dos dois esportes em prol do outro.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span style="font-size:larger"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial"&gt;Boa  sorte aos  ciclistas e mountain bikers, acho que deu para perceber que  somos de um  só planeta: o planeta da saúde, do esporte, Por algumas horas, uma sequ&amp;#234;ncia de largadas aconteceu com muita festa e apoio do impressionante p&amp;#250;blico no local, at&amp;#233; que os 6.000 ciclistas inscritos partiram rumo aos 1.230 km do percurso.&lt;p&gt;O PBP &amp;#233; a maior prova cicl&amp;#237;stica do mundo e existe desde 1924. Dela derivou o Tour de France com a separa&amp;#231;&amp;#227;o dos ciclistas profissionais; a prova seguiu com seu car&amp;#225;ter participativo e acontece a cada quatro anos.&lt;p&gt;Milton C. Della Giustina, ex-ciclista profissional com diversos t&amp;#237;tulos importantes no curr&amp;#237;culo, teve a companhia de mais tr&amp;#234;s atletas de Florian&amp;#243;polis na empreitada, cada um com seu objetivo: Nilson Macedo, Jorge Rovetto e Luiz Pereira. A meta final era a mesma: completar o percurso abaixo do tempo limite de 90 horas.&lt;p&gt;Della seguiu &amp;#224; frente durante toda a madrugada e relatou que, ao longo do percurso, foi incr&amp;#237;vel o apoio da popula&amp;#231;&amp;#227;o das vilas por onde a prova passava, incentivando os randonneurs apesar do frio e da chuva que os acompanhou por muitas horas seguintes.&lt;p&gt;A equipe de apoio o encontrou no km 310, em Foug&amp;#233;res. Della fez uma parada mais longa, de quase 2 horas, e aproveitou para se hidratar, tomar banho e receber massagem. Partiu sozinho para o trecho seguinte, enquanto o apoio esperou pelo Pereira e o Jorge. Neste ponto, o Pereira j&amp;#225; estava sofrendo mais devido a uma intoxica&amp;#231;&amp;#227;o alimentar desde o primeiro posto de controle (PC), mas seguiu adiante com o incentivo do Jorge.&lt;p&gt;&amp;#192; tarde, em Loudeac, aos 449 km da prova, novo apoio ao Della, que seguia firme e determinado a chegar em Brest ainda naquela noite de segunda-feira apesar do frio e da chuva que n&amp;#227;o diminu&amp;#237;ram durante todo este primeiro dia de prova. No PC, parada r&amp;#225;pida para hidratar, trocar a roupa e receber massagem nas costas que come&amp;#231;avam a sofrer.&lt;p&gt;Pela noite, primeiro objetivo atingido: Della completou a primeira metade da prova ao chegar a Brest, nos 618 km de prova, com 27h57min horas de prova. Fazia muito frio e chovia, ent&amp;#227;o a equipe de apoio que estava no meio do caminho entre ele e a dupla Jorge-Pereira deslocou-se rapidamente a Brest para que l&amp;#225; o Della fizesse sua primeira parada para dormir, devidamente aquecido, hidratado e alimentado. Depois de aproximadamente 3 horas de sono, ele partiu para completar o caminho de volta at&amp;#233; a chegada. Um pouco antes, a equipe de apoio j&amp;#225; havia se deslocado de volta para buscar o Pereira em Loudeac (km 449), pois n&amp;#227;o teve mais condi&amp;#231;&amp;#245;es de seguir na prova devido &amp;#224; intoxica&amp;#231;&amp;#227;o. Sozinho, mas motivado a terminar, Jorge partiu rumo a Brest em ritmo mais forte e constante.&lt;p&gt;Novamente em Carhaix-Plouguer, o Jorge e o Della se encontraram pela primeira vez no percurso — um indo a Brest (km 525) e outro voltando (km 703). A equipe de apoio esteve com os dois neste PC para auxiliar com a alimenta&amp;#231;&amp;#227;o, hidrata&amp;#231;&amp;#227;o, troca de roupas, massagem e incentivo. O enorme p&amp;#250;blico no local, como em todos os PCs, d&amp;#225; motiva&amp;#231;&amp;#227;o extra a cada um dos participantes em suas passagens.&lt;p&gt;Deste ponto adiante, al&amp;#233;m do desgaste f&amp;#237;sico, Della pedalou com intensa dor nas costas e devido &amp;#224;s assaduras provocadas pelo selim. Chegou a cair sozinho na pista ap&amp;#243;s uma breve cochilada em cima da bicicleta! Por sorte, apenas uma escoria&amp;#231;&amp;#227;o no cotovelo e na m&amp;#227;o. No apoio seguinte, novamente em Foug&amp;#233;res e j&amp;#225; com 921 km acumulados, parada com direito a visita &amp;#224; enfermaria para tratar dos machucados, banho, massagem, alimenta&amp;#231;&amp;#227;o mais forte e mais duas horas de sono. Apesar do desconforto e das dores, motiva&amp;#231;&amp;#227;o e foco para terminar os quil&amp;#244;metros restantes da prova foram os maiores aliados para o levarem adiante. O Jorge vinha 200 km atr&amp;#225;s em ritmo constante, forte e decidido a terminar.&lt;p&gt;Della e a equipe de apoio deveriam se encontrar novamente em Mortagne-au-Perche por volta das 12 horas da ter&amp;#231;a-feira. Entretanto, o aumento da dor nas costas, especialmente devido &amp;#224;s tentativas de alterar a postura para minimizar o desconforto das assaduras que s&amp;#243; pioravam, fez com que seu ritmo de pedaladas diminu&amp;#237;sse drasticamente at&amp;#233; o km 1009. Depois de novamente fechar os olhos em cima da bicicleta, Della parou por duas vezes para cochilar cerca de 30 minutos no asfalto mesmo. Com uma breve parada no PC, seguiu firme em dire&amp;#231;&amp;#227;o aos 1090 km de prova, onde a equipe de apoio o aguardava &amp;#224;s 14 horas. Alimentou-se, hidratou-se, recebeu massagem e dormiu por cerca de 30 minutos. Uma capa de gel para o selim, que o acompanhou a partir deste ponto, permitiu que o ritmo aumentasse rumo &amp;#224; chegada, o objetivo principal. A equipe de apoio, neste ponto j&amp;#225; dividida em duas, foi auxiliar tamb&amp;#233;m o Jorge, que seguia no ritmo constante e decidido a terminar a prova dentro do tempo limite.&lt;p&gt;O Della aumentou tanto o ritmo a partir dos 1090 km que chegou mais cedo que o previsto em Dreux, &amp;#250;ltimo PC da prova, a 75 km da chegada. Da&amp;#237; para frente, t&amp;#237;nhamos certeza de que, com sua experi&amp;#234;ncia e muita garra, ele buscaria todo o seu melhor para completar o percurso antes do que previam os registros online de passagem da prova. O Jorge parou para descansar em Foug&amp;#233;res, recuperou-se e, dali, tamb&amp;#233;m seguiu adiante at&amp;#233; novo apoio em Mortagne-au-Perche. De l&amp;#225;, a equipe de apoio correu de volta para Saint Quentin en Yvelines para receber o Della na chegada.&lt;p&gt;&amp;#192;s 22h48min locais de quarta-feira, dia 24 de agosto, Milton C. Della Giustina cruzou o tapete de chegada ao lado de outro brasileiro, paranaense, segurando a bandeira do Brasil. Sob muitos aplausos do p&amp;#250;blico presente no local, completou os 1.230 km do Paris-Brest-Paris Randon&amp;#233;e 2011 com o tempo de 75h57min, bem abaixo das 84 horas que previa inicialmente. Muita emo&amp;#231;&amp;#227;o, festa e, enfim, o merecido descanso. Jorge Rovetto seguiu mantendo o ritmo e, &amp;#224;s 11h33min de quinta-feira, 25 de agosto, completou o PBP 2011 com o tempo de 88h43min e mais apoio.&lt;p&gt;Miss&amp;#227;o cumprida e muita festa para o Brasil na Fran&amp;#231;a, com 43 brasileiros inscritos (cerca de metade desistiu em diferentes pontos do duro percurso da prova). &lt;br /&gt;dizem que ta fazendo muito frio e chovendo desde cedo de segunda feira. Eles
&lt;br /&gt;iam encontrar o Della as 22 hs (17hs aqui) no PC em Fougeres, onde ele deve
&lt;br /&gt;parar para dormir umas 2 hrs e seguir adiante. Ele está empolgado querendo
&lt;br /&gt;fehcar em até 60 horas e em condições para tal façanha, com dores somente
&lt;br /&gt;nas costas. Faltam "apenas" 400 km!!
&lt;br /&gt; 
&lt;br /&gt;Nosso Huli-Huli sofreu uma intoxicação e está no apoio, aguentou até onde
&lt;br /&gt;pode, nos 400 km parou para recuperar mas não conseguiu mais seguir adiante.
&lt;br /&gt;O Jorge vinha acompanhando-o e seguiu adiante, 200 km atrás do Della e muito
&lt;br /&gt;bem.
&lt;br /&gt; 
&lt;br /&gt;O Nilson está andando com o Rogério, do Paraná. Ele largou 3h depois do
&lt;br /&gt;Della, Pereira e Jorge. Parece que segurou até aqui para fazer mais força no
&lt;br /&gt;final, mas sabemos pouco dele.
&lt;br /&gt; 
&lt;br /&gt;Enfim, agora falta pouco! O apoio foi dividido em dois grupos a fim de
&lt;br /&gt;atender melhor o Della e o Jorge -- os dois já passaram da metade, então, tá
&lt;br /&gt;acabando!!! rs
&lt;br /&gt; 
&lt;br /&gt;Se o Della mantiver esse ritmo, deve chegar em St. Quentin en Yvelines nesta
&lt;br /&gt;quarta-feira ainda, talvez à tarde. O Jorge deve chegar na manhã de

&lt;br&gt;participar do Audax Paris/Brest/Paris (PBP 2011), e hoje estaremos em viajem. Disseram que eu era &amp;quot;teimoso&amp;quot;, mas prefiro acreditar que sou persistente e focado nos objetivos, tanto que n&amp;#227;o s&amp;#243; conseguimos como iremos com nossa equipe de Floripa com 4 integrantes:

&lt;br&gt;O PBP &amp;#233; o evento cicl&amp;#237;stico mais antigo do mundo, de onde derivou o Tour de France, com a separa&amp;#231;&amp;#227;o dos ciclistas profissionais, e seguindo com os amadores realizando o PBP sem a classifica&amp;#231;&amp;#227;o individual, mas mesmo assim, a competitividade segue com cada participante dentro de seus objetivos &amp;quot;audaxiosos&amp;quot;.
&lt;br&gt;A prova &amp;#233; realizada atualmente, a cada 4 anos, com 1230 km e cada participante (cerca de 6000) ter&amp;#225; que conclu&amp;#237;-la em at&amp;#233; 90 horas .
&lt;br&gt;Mas para participar precisamos fazer uma serie de 200, 300, 400 e 600 km, em 2010 para pr&amp;#233;-qualificar, e outra em 2011 para confirmar o direito de participar.
