This season Band of Outsiders' spin-off collection made an incredibly cool and quirky pair of sweatpants. At first sight the color blocking on the cuff kind of threw me off. But they fit perfectly and the cock outline is well... Not that bad. Not for beginners but definitely a solid piece to add to the arsenal.

I picked these up at Ron Herman after Chris Black convinced me I needed yet another pair of sweatpants. I have the best friends... Ever. I scoured the internet and these are still available at Bloomingdale's but I would imagine won't last long after this post. Ready, set, go...

Visit: Marfa, Texas

I had the opportunity to visit the beautiful town and art colony of Marfa, Texas while directing a fashion campaign film. It's such an interesting visual place I thought I'd post some of the location scout photos I took. I've never been anywhere quite like it. I think I connected to it because it's almost like a warm version of the town I grew up in Woodstock, New York.

There are a few really incredible destinations but my favorite was a quaint retail shop called Freda owned by Susannah Lipsey. It's an amazing place where you can get a full spectrum of goods from Rodarte hoodies to hand painted arrows. What's unique about the boutique and the town is it isn't trying to be something it's not. Everything is so much about rendered high concept nowadays and this place is about living... The patina is real.

Undefeated has gone full tiger camo this season and it's incredible. Spending some time on the west coast I visited each store in Santa Monica, Silver Lake, and Hollywood to get my fix. Being a New Yorker I've asked my buddy Eddie Cruz countless times to open in NYC. For now you have to travel or purchase online and maybe that is some of the allure for me. I especially love this collection for its boldness, comfort and price point.

As I'm not big on logos and labels, the graphics on these goods almost camouflage into the pattern which I'm a fan of. The gear also looks incredibly good on the ladies. Just check out my girl Adrianne Ho in the basketball jersey hitting the beach. I added the scarf, sweatpants, and bucket hat to my collection...

A general store that sells Dries? Yes, please. My friend Kevin Carney has created the modern general store which has evolved with the times. You never want to go full "old timey" and Mohawk has not fallen victim to that sort of typecasting. A beautiful mix of old and new, men's and women's, needs and wants...

Carrying some of our favorite brands like Engineered Garments, South 2 West 8, Santa Maria Novella, Garrett Leight, Our Legacy, Gitman Brothers Vintage, and The Hillside; there's something for everyone. Wood Wood was the line I was the most impressed with on my recent visit to the Silver Lake outpost.

I always find it interesting when classics are on trend or become "fashionable." But there's no denying the popularity of black bomber jackets. From Alexander Wang to Unis there are some fantastic options out there in varying fabrications and silhouettes. It's a classic to me because it looks great with everything and there are so many different ways to rock them.

Reigning Champ has created the essential program for the sweat enthusiast. A core program of midweight terry consisting of three standard colorways: navy, grey, and black, which will always be available. During a recent trip to Vancouver I had the pleasure of meeting the Reigning Champ team and checking out their facilities. As much as I love their special projects and collaborations, the core program is what peaked my interest the most.

The reliability of a great basic every season is really appealing to me. Too often I'll find the perfect sweatpants one season, get a hole or damage them, and not be able to replace them. Reigning Champ has solved that problem for us. I also love the concept of a full monochromatic kit without any logos or graphics: zip, pullover, crew, pant, and short. Then adding a bit of your own flavor with a bold jacket, accessory, or shoe. Thank Reigning Champ for thinking about us with a stylish utility frame of mind.
