I had the pleasure of photographing these two on probably the ONLY really cold day we’ve had this January. But it didn’t phase them, they were laughing from the minute we arrived!! They were so much fun to shoot and clearly adore each other!! Mark brought his trumpet, which made for an awesome prop! I love with the guys get involved and make it their own! But I think my favorite is the way Kamille always refers to Mark as “Mr Dawson,” which ALWAYS makes me think of Mr. Darcy in “Pride and Prejudice,” an all time favorite read.

First wedding of 2012 begins with the lovely Natalie!! We shot her bridals a few weeks ago and I have been so excited to share them! It was so cold, I really am not sure how she made it through without turning blue, but she held out and it was totally worth it. She is just stunning!

Bridal Fair Give Away!

Thanks to everyone who came out to the 2012 Arkansas Democrat Gazette Bridal Fair! It was a great crowd and the vendors really did it up this year, the booths were bigger and brighter than I have ever seen! I enjoyed getting to meet everyone who came by the booth and have had a great time going through the Photo Booth pictures. I have put together a little slide show of all the images just for fun.

But what you REALLY want to know is how to enter to win a FREE Bridal Session, Photo Booth or Engagement Session! All you have to do is click HERE, find an image of yourself and comment on that image saying what prize you would like to win. Ross and Lianne ~ Married!

I can’t tell you how excited I was when Ross and Lianne hired me to shoot their wedding at The Keeler Property in Jacksonville, FL. It was such a unique and romantic venue!!

When we first arrived in Jacksonville, we met Lianne at this amazing house they rented for the weekend. It’s one of those cool places you dream about living in!

My favorite part of the house was the stairwell and entry way. Simply stunning! It’s safe to say I’m pretty addicted to this place!

This little man was such a cutie!

I love love love love love this shot! I can’t put my finger on it exactly but it’s just beautiful!So this is not just your typical beer shot. The wedding party actually had beer brewed just for Ross and Lianne as a wedding gift!! How cool is that???

Aaron and Tiffany ~ Engaged

These guys were super sweet and I believe that Tiffany should get the toughest client award because it was COOOOOLLLLLDDDDD outside and she didn’t complain once in her dress!! I was dressed warm and I was complaining like a baby but she just kept smiling! But all in all, everything turned out great, the pictures are just beautiful and the fall colors were perfect. It’s going to be quite the contradiction to their wedding which will be on the beach in Gulf Shores this summer! I bet we will be missing this cold weather by then! hehe No stopping, standing or parking…..whoops!! I was lovin’ the light reflecting from the building across the street. Patches of light are my favorite! Hello Marilyn Monroe!! I could not have planned this if I tried! I said “you realize this is really all about her right?” He didn’t argue. Love the way she looks at him! Stunning eyes!!!

Willie and Ji ~ Married

I have enjoyed these two since we first met at their engagement session this summer. So I was definitely looking forward to their wedding, which took place at the lovely Peabody Hotel in Little Rock. And although this place is always beautiful the set up and lights were just stunning! Ji Young went for something completely different, instead of the traditional isle and sides, she put her stage right in the center and let everyone encircle them. It was fabulous! I loved it!

Love the over head light here! This is one of my favs. Love this one too. This little guy was a bundle of engergy! He was having a blast, but did not want his feet on the ground. Kids are so cute!Love those shoes!! I really really liked this set up! Everyone was able to see, and it made my job super easy because I could literally walk circles around them! I love having no rules! During the cocktail hour they transformed the room into this amazing ballroom! The lighting just set it off! Because Ji Young is Korean she wanted to include a traditional ceremony called Pae Baek. This is a Korean tradition that represents the joining of two families rather than the joining of two individuals. This ceremony was originally a way for the bride to pay her respects to the groom’s family, but relatives on both sides of the family are often invited to participate and offer blessings to the couple. The couple will bow deeply to the families. The parents will throw dates (symbolizing girls) and chestnuts (symbolizing boys) which the bride will try to catch in her skirt. The number of dates and chestnuts caught signifies how many children she will bear.

The colors are so amazingly beautiful! And thank goodness Ji Young had assistants to help her up and down because she had to kneel at least 20+ times, I don’t know how she did it!

One of the coolest grooms cakes ever. A duffel bag full of all the things he loves! Made by his sister, who did a fabulous job!!The kids decided to get the party started!! Hey, I think we have seen those shoes before! LOL Be sure to look closely at these, the first toss was slightly unsuccessful, NONE of the guys tried to catch the garter! So on round two Willie just turned around and threw it straight at them so they HAD to catch it! LOLNo such problems with the ladies. The finished the night off with a fantastic confetti explosion, compliments of their awesome DJ Central Arkansas Entertainment!! This is a must do if you can add it to your reception!!And last but not least, must show off my favs from the Photo Booth!!

Wolverine is a master of virtually all forms of martial arts and is experienced in virtually every fighting style on Earth, but this night he has mastered the art of taking his bride.

This may very well be my all time Photo Booth favorite!!

Cortney and Jamie ~ Engaged

This was a particularly enjoyable session for me because the groom and I went to school together, and he also happens to be one my of brothers best friends making him more like another big brother to me. So I was excited about this wedding before I even met the bride, who happens to have a fabulous name if I do say so myself! Cortney and Jamie are just awesome together, we had some time to hang out before the shoot and I just love her!! (I already know Cortney, so I don’t have to rave about him, lol) We had a great time and I just love the pics! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Cortney may very well shoot me for this but I busted out laughing when I saw this and couldn’t help myself, his expression is priceless. I am pretty sure he was saying something like “you want me to what??” LOL I used to have this phrase that I used all the time “focus is overrated.” All of my friends thought pretty much defined me because so many of my favorite shots are not sharp and instead of trashing it, I not only use it but sometimes it’s my favorite shot! This is a perfect example. I love this shot, I love the motion, the color, the feel of it all. And it makes me want to shout out “Attraversiamo!!” (a key phrase from the book “Eat Pray Love“)And I love this too. As the sunset and all of my beautiful light faded away I was super grateful to have Jessica Jo Smith assist with my lighting and holding the reflector for me!! Love ya!
