You are beginning to understand animals’ experiences are their own and don’t need to be validated by humans to be authentic.
It acknowledges humans do not have dominion over animals. It is taking your deep commitment, love and respect for animals and letting those feelings spur you on to meet animals in their agency through your authentic agency.
For 30+ years I have facilitated clear conversations between animals and people, encouraging you to co-create deeper relationship with animals.
I hold space for you as you satisfy your curiosity about your true kinship journey and how it can re-introduce you to your authentic self. I am a helper, a guide, a witness, and a cheerleader as you explore those different pathways, resulting in you showing up more your authentic self for animals.
It is a work I persevere in while at the same time not holding expectations of how it ‘should’ or will evolve.

In today’s world we are at a turning point: are we ready to disengage from the colonized practice of claiming dominion over animals? Are we ready to uphold practices of community and collaboration with all sentient beings? Are we ready to move from ownership to partnership with animals?
True kinship with animals offers a different way to be with them. It offers a vision and perspective for the future, for what can be, not one that is marooned in the colonized past and present.
It is about mutual participation, not control or power. It is the open bond forged and tended between different species when each species has the freedom to participate as, if and how they see fit. In other words, when species are acting from their own agency.
At its core is “We all do better when ALL creatures do better.
This book is written to help you dismantle the centuries old paradigm of humans claiming dominion over animals. It offers a renewed way to connect with animals, one based on mutual respect and co-creation, moving us from ownership to partnership. Are you ready?
