Lee Keon Hyok, Senior Vice President at Samsung Electronics who recently talked to BusinessWeek and said,

“The Galaxy S4 doesn’t come out until late April. It’s fast, has a big, bright screen, and will probably be another huge hit for Samsung, as will the S4 mini that will go on sale soon after”.

This statement in a nutshell confirms that the Galaxy S4 mini exists which will be just like its Life Companion (Galaxy S4) in looks.

KnowYourMobile has some unconfirmed info of this mini s4. The main camera will have an 8MP sensor that will capture HD video (possibly 1080p) and there will be a front-facing camera of unknown resolution.

According to the site the Galaxy S4 mini’s chipset (the Exynos 5210?) will pack just 1GB of RAM. The internal storage options are 8GB, 16GB and 32G with a microSD card slot. The estimated price for the Galaxy S4 mini is £300 / $450.

Keep in mind that KnowYourMobile’s data should be taken with a pinch of salt. Even Lee Keon Hyok’s comments should not be taken for granted.

Introduction:

Celkon recently launched a new Android based smartphone named, Celkon A200. Basically Celkon was established in year 2010 and they are popular in mobile manufacturing companies in India. We all might have seen Virat Kohli advertising for this mobile manufacturing company which shows the power of their marketing. Being a less recognizable brand its bit difficult in start to capture mobile market because of other companies like Micromax and Karbonn which have already released more products. Lets have a look at Celkon A200 now.

Form factor:

Celkon’s A200 is a smart looking piece of mobile hardware. It’s very neatly designed and the smooth curved edges and glossy finish, albeit slightly prone to scratches, gives the handset quite a refined look. It looks like a larger version of the HTC Explorer. Equipped with a 4.3-inch IPS panel display with 480 x 800 pixel resolution, viewing angles are great. Colours also tend to be quite accurate. There’s no mention of the display being of the scratch resistant variety, so that could pose a bit of a problem. However, a screen guard will be quite handy to prevent any damage.
Celkon has gone with a simple Android 3-button (soft touch) system for the OS. A volume rocker with well-articulated buttons are placed on the upper right hand side of the device, with the 3.5 mm headphone jack and micro USB ports placed on the top on either side of the power/sleep mode key. A hot-swap microSD card slot is placed under the rear panel . The A200 is a dual-SIM (GSM + GSM) handset with slots placed neatly under the panel. Access to these will require you to remove the 1500mAh battery, of course. There’s also a 5MP camera strapped to the back accompanied by a set of dual LEDs that make up the flash.

The Celkon A200 has a sturdy feel and although the glossy finish and curved edges make it a little bit slippery to hold on to, the handset still scores well in the looks department.

Interface:

Celkon has chosen to go with a non-customised, stock version of Google’s ICS (Android 4.0.4) OS. We’re not complaining. It runs very swiftly with just a tiny hint of lag during functionality. We didn’t quite notice it till we went looking. The 1.2GHz Dual Core processor running under the hood pretty much ensures speedy performance. Linpack scores showed us an average of 39 MFLOPS in Single Thread run and 63.5 MFLOPS in Multi Thread while Antutu puts it in almost the same league as the Galaxy Nexus. Overall, the UI proved to be fluid. Although the 512MB of RAM is sufficient, 1GB would have made quite a difference. A User Profiles setting is also provided so you have a certain measure of quick control for switching between profiles. There’s even a scheduler for switching off the handset at designated times.

SIM management is simplified through the built-in manager in the settings menu. The system allows you to assign functions to each SIM, including which one should handle your Internet. So you could opt to have one with a 3G connection and a second just for work for calls and messages.

Media:

Oddly, the system came with two music players by default – Google’s stock Android player as well as the Play Music App. The music quality in general was quite average. While the decibel level was high enough, the tone quality was a bit off. Higher tones took precedence while the mids were a little too bright. Lower/Bass tones could also have been a little firmer. Even with the built in EQ settings and Bass Boss feature, overall tone quality was just about ok.

Celkon has infused the A200 with quite a few video codecs with support for some .AVI formats, MPEG4, 3GP, 3GPP and WMV. Of course, for more you’d need to get a third party player. Unfortunately, the A200 was unable to play full HD videos. Although the audio was evident, no video played even with non-native players. The A200 also features an FM radio with a recording function and RDS settings. Reception was fairly good throughout most locations in the city that we travelled. A sound recorder for voice memos has also been preloaded.

Connectivity:

In this domain, the A200 proved to be sufficiently equipped. It features 3G connectivity with EDGE support as well if need be, Wi-Fi (hotspot), Bluetooth 3.0 (A2DP) and USB 2.0. Opera Mini has been preloaded for browsing and comes in quite handy—not that the native browser is an issue. Celkon has also thrown in a few extras under the My Celkon app. These include – My mango, a video app that hosts a few “channels”, which in fact are simple links to YouTube videos.

Features:

A few extra apps like Documents on the Go, ES File Explorer (as well as a File Manager), Dropbox, a Flashlight App, News and Weather app, and a Lite version of Real calc are also part of the handsets app make up. Celkon has also added a Sketch Note app for quick memos. The A200 is also GPS-ready and comes with the usual host of Google GPS goodies like Maps, Navigation, Local and a few others like Google Earth and a Compass. For social networking, you’ve got Facebook, Google+, Messenger+, Yahoo! Messenger, Skype and Twitter. There’s also a YuppTV app that’s preloaded where you can subscribe to channel packages in Tamil, Telegu, Kannada, Hindi, Marathi and Bengali. My world is another app that’s provided for access to things like Astrology, Business and Entertainment, updates on Cricket, technology and other news as well. For some odd reason, the Hollywood channel in this app doesn’t work, whereas Tollywood, Bollywood, Mollywood et al work just fine. We guess they’re trying to stay as Indian as possible. Stringo, a WhatsApp-like app for sharing contact with FB and phonebook users is also provided.

Camera:

The A200 comes equipped with a 5MP rear shooter with quite a few settings that include HDR, White Balance, colour effects, scene modes, exposure control, a self timer and more. When it comes to quality, indoor low lit images don’t come out too well unless you’re taking close-ups. Outdoor photos, on the other hand, look really good. The focus, colours and sharpness of images in well lit conditions came out better than expected. Take a look at some samples.

Battery:

With its 1500mAh battery, the A200 managed to survive a full day without quitting. We made use of videos, music, a little social networking, a few images here and there and even captured a short video with the camera. All of this was with either 3G or Wi-Fi running constantly. The handset ran from around 07.00am to about 8.30pm non-stop with emails, WhatsApp messages and social networking notifications also coming in throughout the day. We were also able to get just about 30 minutes of call time in this as well. On the whole, the A200 fared quite well here.

The bottom line:

The Celkon A200 bears a price tag of Rs 8,500 (MOP), which puts it in the same bracket as Micromax’s A110, Karbonn’s A7, Sony’s Tipo and quite a few others. As budget smartphones go though, this one does stand out in terms of functionality. It’s a neat looking device with a good battery life, decent camera and a fluid UIX, making it quite worth the money. Although the name might not be one you’d recognise, if Celkon keeps this quality of production up, it’s a name you won’t soon forget.

Here is the simplest way to install Windows 7 from a USB Flash drive. There are lot of methods where you have to write  complicated commands. While the following method can be performed by any Novice.

The whole process takes only two steps, run UNetbootin, load the Windows 7 ISO file, and finally restart your computer.

Before you begin, you will require the following:

• USB Flash Drive (4GB minimum But 8GB Recommended for Ultimate Edition)
• Windows 7 ISO Image file
• UNetbootin

Note: If UNetbootin doesn’t work, try out the Microsoft’s official tool called Windows 7 USB/DVD Tool.

Now insert the USB drive, run UNetbootin, and select Disk Image as ISO. Browse your local drive for Windows 7 ISO that you have in your current PC and click Open. Now Select Type as USB and choose the drive. Just to be sure match with below screenshot.

Click OK and it will begin extracting all installation files to the USB drive. The whole process will take some time(10-15 minutes), so have patience.

Once the installation is complete, reboot your computer. Now while your system is starting up press the appropriate button(usually F1, F2, F12, ESC, Backspace, or Escape) to bring up Bios Boot Menu. Change the startup order to boot USB by default, usually you will have to press F6 to move the selected USB device on top. Once done, save changes and restart the system.

And a Favicon has standard size is 16 x 16 Size and it should be saved as favicon.ico file. Because it is standard and default format that every web language can understand easily.

Overview:

Galaxy S Duos is a dual SIM Android smartphone that comes with a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM 7227A processor running Android ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) on its big 4 inch display. Inspired by the design of the Samsung Galaxy SIII, Galaxy S Duos looks good and is quite an object of desire. The 4 inch LCD display comes with 480 x 800 pixel resolution, while the 1 GHz processor coupled with 768 MB RAM takes care of applications well. Galaxy S Duos utilizes a slightly older but functional Adreno 200 graphics engine, which will be good enough for most tasks. HD gaming will likely be one task where the device will lag.

Interface:

The interface of the Galaxy S DUOS resembles that of the Galaxy S III. Both devices use the same UI called Touchwiz Nature UX. Unfortunately, this device uses no special effects,like the water effect on the unlock the screen. However, the interface, the menu and home screen looks much alike. The device scrolls smoothly through the menu’s just here and there a little lag, but this will be resolved with software updates.

As the name suggests, the Galaxy S DUOS supports two SIM cards in one phone.Samsung has managed to optimize this option, so you can select that 1 or 2 cards will be active. Or 1 for data and the other only for making phone calls.Both options are also possible, however you must remember that both SIM cards have their own PIN. So you have to remember that. An unusual thing we get to see is, switch between the Sim cards to change some settings the wallpaper changes with it. This helps you to keep a good overview of which SIM card your using. Also you immediately change from the network. The last point about the Galaxy DUOS is also nice to know, if you want to call someone, you have to select which SIM card you will be using to make that call.

Camera:

The Samsung Galaxy S Duos comes with a 5MP camera that can shoot photos at a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1920 pixels. The camera is quite reasonable. Photos are nice but the camcorder is bad although the quality is quite reasonable. The entire camera interface is just the same as we do have in some other mid range smartphone. There are some options that are missing or may be removed because of the camera sensor is something less but generally the pictures are quite good enough. Right now we are also missing with  the touch to focus option.

In Shooting movies we are provided up with a resolution of 480 x 800 which is still less than the real Galaxy S. Samsung might have shifted there gear a little here up. Still it shoots some decent movies for a normal user.

Battery:

For everlasting experience, the Galaxy S Duos comes with a standard Li-Ion 1500 mAh battery which goes well with the device. When tested, battery performed excellent results on 2G and above average on 3G. The stand by time delivered was up to 550 hours on 2G and up to 450 hours when on 3G whereas, the talk time was up to 12 hours on 2G and up to 8 hours on 3G. So, we can say that Samsung galaxy S Duos ensures you good battery results.

Memory:

The Samsung Galaxy S Duos comes with in built memory of 4 GB. The memory can further be extended to 32 GB using a micro SD card. The phone supports 768 MB RAM, that helps multitasking and swapping applications easily. This is one of the biggest Pros of all. So Storage and RAM may not create any issues.

Features:

Dual SIM service of this phone allows you to receive calls while you are connected to the internet or even if you are already talking on the phone on the other SIM card. The Samsung Galaxy S Duos is pre loaded with SNS integration. The Social Hub includes all major social sites like, Facebook, twitter, You Tube, Linked In and many more. The much hyped ChatOn service enables single and multi-person conversations, multimedia file sharing and even more. Galaxy S Duos is featured with Samsung Kies 2.0 and Kies air. Pro’s

A big problem is resolved with this mid-end smartphone, People with which have two phones, for different uses basically private and business and now with this smartphone Samsung has made that problem look a joke.  Now the you can you have your “work “and private” phone in one device and use it as a real smartphone. Both SIM cards are always connected and therefore always reachable. That is of course a big plus, compared to the old DUOS devices from Samsung.

The Decent looks and Design is similar to Samsung Galaxy S III. It has a good battery backup and nice amount of Storage space for installing apps and RAM of 768MB which is enough for use.

Cons

Yet there are some drawbacks to this device. The screen and camera for example. The Screen is just TFT capacitive touchscreen with pixel density of 233 ppi and not a AMOLED screen. Especially when you see what the price for the Galaxy S Plus is now. Camera could have been even much better better, 5 megapixel camera without auto-focus is really outdated. Hopefully this will be fixed by Samsung with the next generation. We also don’t get any ambient light sensor, So we have to adjust the light accordingly.

The Device also seems to lag at times and also it can not smoothly play the 720p Videos on phone and skips some frames there.

The biggest advantage of the phone is its dual SIM functionality, Galaxy S III-like looks and an attractive price point of Rs 14,500.
