What an honor it was to photograph Oscar and Angel just two weeks before Gideon’s arrival. I loved working with these three. Angel and Oscar were clear about what they wanted…elegance. Yet, they were excited to hear my ideas and suggestions about how we could best achieve their goals. While the focus is clearly on pregnancy, the element of love between Angel and Oscar is sky lined. This is what a maternity shoot should be like. These photographs go well beyond just belly shots. You can see how much they are already loving their baby.

Anthony & Christy married just days before the new year. I can’t tell you how blessed I was to photograph their engagement story and Christy’s bridal portraits. As most of you know, we really honed in on their love for music. Christy’s Dad and Sister were the beautiful musicians softly playing in the background of their engagement session. For the bridal, we couldn’t resist the idea of including a piano. Thanks to our friends, The Long Family! Just before putting up her Christmas decorations, Molly warmly offered us use of her gorgeous piano. The window was also an essential part of the illustration. Christy gazed out with a delightfully tranquil look on her face. How could a bride be so calm? Faith. Hope. Love.

Morgan the Magnificent

Morgan was such an awesome gal to photograph. When we met for her consult, she told me, “Basketball is my life!” After exploring her ideas, strong Christian faith, and the clothing she had in mind, we were able to choose just the right location.

We played some of her favorite tunes to help set ‘the soundtrack’ to her story. Put a basketball in her hand…and that was about all we needed. What a natural!
