Hi all,
I bought an ipod(nano) a year ago and have use it twice. I ike the unit, very light for exercise but it’s really bordering me when I tried import the music to it thru itunes. I could imagine there really type of people out there using itunes, cheese what can I say, a dumb-ass software that I’ve been encounted… and it’s popular!

I hate ipods too!
everyone at my school loves them because they r expensive, and they think that anything thats expensive must be the best thing on the market. and they are wrong. ipods dont do anything compared to the new onda players that have come out which are usually under £100, i mean the god ones like the onda vx777, vx777le, vx767, vx787, and the onda vx525 are all fantasic. and they do way more stuff that ipods could ever acheive. check them out on youtube, cos theres video reviews for each onda player i’ve specified.

For David: ive had the same problem with my shuffle, i didn’t update it for 2 months because ive been quite busy. anyway when it did, my pc wont recognize it, i take it to apple service center but they can’t find anything wrong with it, that’s 3 times i had to go there but they can’t find anything wrong so they can’t replace it, i wanted to resell it to ebay but i was scared of the negative feedback so i had my brother fix it, apparently there was something wrong with the dock or whatever, im sorry i was so annoyed that i left everything in his hands. you can try googling it as it seems that is a common problem.
im never gonna purchase an ipod after that, ill stick to them flash based mp3 players

Sorry but ive got better ways to waste my money. Seriously ive always been against apple as a whole but ipods are just freaking retarded. To hell with DRM and anything proprietary. I have owned an archos 504, 604, an iriver, iaudio x5,and a Cowon A2. Never owned an ipod but had friends who did and always came to me for help. In my opinion, customer service is the pretty much the same at all of em. Advise, keep receipts and boxes. Whats important is how often you have to deal with the customer service. In an ipods case, alot. I have to aree with whoever it was that said ipods are a trend, an image. Americans just get so caught up with that. Thats why ipods dont realy sell anywhere else. They are way overpriced and you just dont get enough for your money. If you really pay attention to what your paying for, ie. features. you dont buy ipods, its simple. my personal favorite would be the cowon. hands down, second archos. look up a cowon a3 specs and what it can do, then look at your ipod. You’ll soon see it for the brick it will eventually become.

Do yourselves a favor, get educated before you buy.

I hate Ipods. I bought each of my daughters one because they just had to have an Ipod. No other MP3 player was good enough. But I can’t put the same music library on both Ipods, and I can’t even use the same computer to sync them. With any other MP3 player I could simply drag and drop the songs they wanted onto their device, but Ipod makes you use their convoluted Itunes software, and you can’t sync more than one device with the same songs. Then, just figuring out how to sync the damn thing is a pain in the ass. I’m pretty computer savvy, but I expect software to be straightforward. To sync an Ipod with Itunes you have to go digging into the menus. Why isn’t there just a button that says “SYNC” on it???

I was recently in Japan with a group of friends and we went into a softbank looking for an ATM not realizing it in fact was not a bank. What an odd name for a phone company.

Ends up the only ATM’s that did work were in the post offices.

Also, side note, we were in Akihabara on the day of the stabbings. Yikes

IPods are the most overated pieces of coorperate shit on the market. I recieved a 4 gig 2nd gen Nano from my sister because she wanted to get an 80 gig classic ipod. It is the biggest piece of shit i’ve ever had the dissatisfaction of owning. It constantly freezes, the battery doesn’t last for shit and cannot be replaced by the average joe, and I have to use fucking Itunes. And on another note, Itunes sucks donkey dick, It forces you to use its shitty format, and If I decide to get a different brand of player, too bad because I can only use Ipods with it. Fuck apple
