Pig Farmer to perform Sunday, August 22, 3pm at the Trail’s West Festival in historic, St. Joseph, MO

A roots music cooperative, Pig Farmer has performed together for over a decade.  This internationally acclaimed Rockabilly ensemble epitomizes pure midwestern flavor with all it’s down home feel. Pig Farmer’s fourth Nashville recorded album, “Mountain Oysters” has drawn attention from every corner of the globe and has been featured on radio programs throughout the US, Europe and Australia.  The band is currently finishing the next CD in their swine themed discography, “Makin’ Bacon” to be released in January 2011. Pig Farmer’s blend of original and stylized cover songs can be described as a fusion of twisted country with a touch of rock (Americana, Alternative Country).

Kansas City Chiefs Training Camp starts in St. Joseph on July 30! Come see us at the Red Rally on opening day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free food to the first 500 in attendance courtesy of Hy-Vee, live music from ‘you know who’, Chiefs cheerleaders, a balloon artist, a banner contest and a lot of fun.

Under The Influence and Soca Jukebox will have the scoreboard’s view of this “Red Rally”.  Who else are you gonna call when you need some genuine pep?  UTI @ 11am followed by Soca around 12:30pm.  If unavailable, I would propose Tarkio High School circa ’89 for an up tempo ‘smoke on the water’ or MWSC Basketball Pep Band ’91 for referee approved ‘night court theme’ and/or ‘the peoples court’.  Have bongos, will travel.
