Just grab the articles you want to use, leave them in their original state complete with the resource box providing credit to the author, and use as you wish!

All Article-Directories have many different categories of content just waiting for you to uncover! You may join a “program” which is another way of saying you do the same thing as everyone else. It doesn't succeed. So you try something different. The problem is, due to lack of experience, you make critical mistakes, and, once again it doesn't succeed.

What is needed is a template that forces you to do the main things right, but leaves you enough latitude to add your own personality into the mix without breaking anything. What I propose is a simple way to identify a niche that you know you would like working in, then build some sort of affiliate site that serves that niche, and finally get traffic to the site and start a revenue stream.

The beauty of this method is that you can personalise it 100% and do something totally unique. All of this without spending one red cent. Here goes:

1. Get Keyword Ideas
Go to Google, and click the link called “shopping” at the top left of the page. Underneath where it says “Search Stuff To Buy” there are 25 search terms of things people want to buy right now while you are staring at your computer screen. Scan the list. If you see anything that you think you would like to sell, write down the search term. Refresh the page. Repeat this process until you have 20-30 search terms. Don't worry if you don't know enough about the thing to write anything intelligent. You can research the topic later. Of course if the keyword describes something you know about all the better.

2. Research Keyword Search Volume
Go to http://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal. One by one, type in your 20-30 keywords and click “Get keyword ideas”. The main reason we are looking here is to get some information on search volume. However, we may stumble upon slight variations on our keyword that are less competitive and easier to target.

When you do this you will see a list of keywords on the left, and the search volumes on the right. Trim your list down to keywords with over 1,000 searches. If you see variations with good search volume, write them down too. You will see why in a minute. One of the first niche keywords I came across on the Google shopping search page was “fiber optic lighting”. As of this writing it has 27K searches a month. This is really high, probably too competitive for us. But I will keep it on my list for now. I will also keep variations such as “fiber optics lighting”, “fiber optic light” and “fiber optic lights” which all have healthy search volume.

Now it's time to research the commercial intention of your keywords. Note: This was not included in the original OP. I honestly don't know how I managed to forget it. It is a gem, so if you don't know about it yet, it's time you did!

What does commercial intention mean? Well, broadly speaking there are two kinds of keywords: buying keywords and information keywords. People are looking for information most of the time. But sometimes they are looking for something they want to buy. When we see a keyword we need to know which one it is. You or I may think we know the difference, but we could be wrong. Wouldn't it be nice if you could find out how many times an actual keyword resulted in a purchase? Well you can. Go to adlab.microsoft.com/Online-Commercial-Intention, type your keyword in the Tool Input field, be sure to click the Query radio button, then click Go. You will get a number between 0.5 and 1, plus a qualification of Commercial Intention or Non-commercial. You only want words with an index that indicates commercial intention, and the higher the better. Personally I like to shoot for 0.8 but this is not always possible. However, our search term fiber optic lighting has a Commercial Intention of 0.91! It doesn't get any better! (I'm beginning to wonder if I shouldn't rather be selling fiber optic lighting kits...) Proceed this way with each of your keywords, and write down the Commercial Intention value next to each one.

3. Research Competing Pages
Now go to http://www.google.com and search each keyword, putting it in double quotes. In other words, don't search fiber optic lighting, search "fiber optic lighting". This will return only pages that have the exact phrase you are searching, and these pages are the most likely to compete with you in searches. This is an excepted method used by many successful marketers to pre-qualify search terms. It is not perfect and there are other parameters you could consider, but for you, right now, it is a good place to start.

When you search “fiber optic lighting” with the quotes you will see something like Results 1 - 10 of about 135,000 for "fiber optic lighting". (0.18 seconds) in the upper right of the results page. This tells you that you are competing with 135,000 pages. I don't know about you, but I am beginning to find this exciting. As marketers we want the maximum number of searches and the minimum number of competing pages. As a rule of thumb we go for at least 1,000 searches per month and at most 100,000-150,000 competing pages (exact numbers vary from marketer to marketer). Here we have a whopping 27K searches and only 135K pages!! This may be a goldmine. But we're not finished yet.

Do the search again like with the allintitle operator. Search allintitle:"fiber optic lighting". We get 1,400 pages that have our exact search term in the page title. Anything under 10K is good so we are still on solid ground.

Next go to PageRank Search - SEO Tools - Search Engine Optimization, Google Optimization and search for your keyword without quotes. This nifty tool will display the top results with the Page Rank of each page. Page Rank is not the be-all end-all in judging how competitive a page may be but it is an indication. What we want to find out is what we are up against. If the top 5 results in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) are all PR5 and up, then we are in trouble. If they are all HubPages and Squidoo, and Ezine Aritcles, it will be a piece of cake.

When we do this for "fiber optic lighting" we see that there is some formidible competition but some easy stuff too. A mixed bag. The greatly feared Wikipedia page has PR6 but it is below the fold (bottom half of the page) and the #1 result has no PR. It may be worth a go.

You may wish to corroborate all of this by doing the search directly on Google, and clicking through each result to see the PR with your Google toolbar. (If you don't have it just search “google toolbar”, find and install it in your browser. It shows you the PR of every page you visit).

4. Decide On Your Horizontal
Now you know your “vertical” market – fiber optic lighting, or whatever you may have chosen. This must now fit into a “horizontal” market. Three are covered here:

* physical products shipped from Amazon, Ebay or a multitude of other retailers
* information products shipped from ClickBank or other digital product marketplaces
* CPA income from a CPA (Cost Per Action) advertising network

You need to make a decision about which one suits you best. You may have a preference for information products, or you may have found a niche that really wants a physical product to ship, for example, a specific model of a consumer electronics product. Only you can decide at this point.

5. Find A Product To Sell
Now you need something to sell. What you do next will vary depending on what decided in step 4:

* for physical products, just search your keyword on amazon.com and ebay.com. Try to find products to ship. Also look for retailers by searching your keyword on Google until you find one that can drop ship products for you. You will need to open an affiliate account with the chosen retailer. Procedures vary from one to another.
* For information products, visit clickbank.com, open an account, log in and click on “Market Place”. Search products using your keyword until you find information products that serve your market. Do some ground work on the numbers after each product description: sale price, future, referred, gravity and % commission. This is too big a subject to cover here. If you are serious about doing ClickBank there are good resources here on this forum where you can find out more.
* For CPA revenues, you must join on or more CPA networks. You can begin by applying to NeverBlue, MaxBounty, CXDigital to mention but three. There are loads of them. Just search “CPA” on this forum.

6. Create Your Money Page
Now go to squidoo.com and open an account. Write a 250 word article on your subject. Create a new lens and put the subject in a new text field. After the article, put an affiliate link to your product. This may be a ClickBank hop link, an Amazon affiliate link, or a creative provided by your CPA network. Squidoo will complain that your lens does not have enough stuff on it to make it interesting, so keep Squidoo happy and add some stuff. If you don't like Squidoo or if you find it too complicated you can always try HubPages. Stay away from WordPress because they do not like commercial blog postings.

Now you have a complete business all set up. You just need some customers. That means getting traffic.

7. Get Targeted Traffic
Go to lemonarian.com. Download the report that explains how to build a link wheel. Write a second 250 word article, different from the first one, to be used in your link wheels. Make sure your second article is a blog post that talks about your subject but does not appear to be trying to sell anything. You will get better results with review-type text rather than ad copy.

Open accounts on Weebly, Blogger, WordPress, Vox, LiveJournal and HubPages. Build a link wheel using these six Web 2.0 properties. Use your second article on all six. Duplicate content is ok, according to Lemonarian. Use your keyword in the anchor text of all the links to your money page, and the links to the other spokes of the wheel.

Build backlinks to the spokes of the link wheel using bookmarking sites such as A1webmarks , Ask, Backflip, Blinklist, Connectedy, Delicious , Diigo, Linkagogo, Mylinkvault, Spotback, Spurl, OYAX, Pixelmo, TeDigo, MyPIP, SyncOne, Yattle, Memfrag, Ziki, i89 and Chipmark . Try to put 1 to 3 new links per day per spoke of the wheel. This is tedious work so you may want to automate it. There are a number of automated services around this forum that have a free trial period. Use them, and if you haven't made a sale by the end of the free trial just cancel your subscription. But you can get this off the ground without spending any money, that much is certain.

written by: Peter Adamson

About the Author:
http://www.thelinkjuicer.com/7.steps.niche.marketing.pdf

Article Marketing Myths And Facts

By now everyone has heard of article marketing and so many people out define it in so many different ways there that it has become hard for people new to article marketing to understand.

First of all, most of the SEO Gurus caught on to article marketing late in the game, then scrambled to create their own definitions of it at the last minute so it didn’t appear they were ever not aware of the power of article marketing.

In general, article marketing is where you write an article on a topic that is related to your website topic. Not a promotional article for your website, but an article about something that is informative to the reader. In the article you use keywords and phrases that relate to your topic as well, much like you would optimize a webpage. Your article when reprinted will be the text of a webpage or webpages.

In the author bio section at the bottom is some info about you and links to your website. It is suggested that you put in one link to your main page and one to an interior page that fits the article you are writing.

If your article is submitted to websites that take article submissions and offers free content to webmasters, then webmasters choose to repost your article on their websites, the links in the author bio section become links from their websites to your website.

Now lets go on to the myths and facts about article marketing.

MYTH: Article marketing doesn’t really help you all that much.

FACT: Article Marketing can help you increase your link popularity and be a source of some of the most targeted traffic you can get.

MYTH: Reprinted Articles only get indexed as supplemental pages, therefore it doesn’t help enough to make it worthwhile.

FACT: Depending on where the article gets submitted to, the article itself can get a top 10 listing in major search engines and not as a supplemental page.

MYTH: Submitting your article everywhere creates duplicate content and the search engines will punish or discount those pages as a result.

FACT: If search engines punished duplicate content in the way that myth suggests then all rss feeds that cause a post in a blog to be reproduced to be discounted or published and they are not. The New York Times articles and CNN stuff is blasted all over the web and are not punished or discounted.

Duplicate content is two webpages that are around 70% similar, not two webpages that have similar text on them.

MYTH: The only way article marketing works is you write an article then submit it to thousands of article submission websites.

FACT: There is more than one way to make article marketing work for you. The way mentioned above works okay if you are looking to get a lot of links back to your website whether they are related or not and can be effective if you currently have very little or no link popularity at all.

Another way is to hand submit your article to article submission websites that only accept articles related to your topic. This is more difficult but the links help you more just through the submissions and it’s more likely that the websites that pick up and repost your article will be also related to your topic which can help you with better links and targeted traffic.

Yet another way is to write a very high quality article that you really take your time on and research. You then choose a very high traffic website related to your topic. One that has great PR and a lot of visitors.

Email them your article and offer them an exclusive if they will print your article with your links included in the bio. If your article is of good quality and they get an exclusive you have a good chance they will post your article there.

This one posting of your article can be more powerful than the mass submitted article method if you choose the website you submit it to carefully.

Last but not least, posting your article exclusively on your own website is a great way to add fresh content and if the article is good, people will link directly to the article increasing both traffic and PR for your webpage where you posted the article. But for this to work you need to already have some traffic to work with.

MYTH: You should always post your article in your website first, then wait to get crawled by the search engines before submitting the article elsewhere.

FACT: Adding articles to your own website is called adding content. Submitting those articles to other websites is called article marketing. With article marketing you don’t want the article indexed on your website first.

Yes you read that right. You do not want the article indexed on your website first. You are or should already be doing SEO on your website and adding fresh content to your website for the search engines to get traffic from them.

Submitting articles to other websites and having the search engines find it there first gives another gateway that people can find your website through.

If the websites that you submitted your articles to get crawled often, then having your article appear there with the links intact will get your website crawled as well.

If the websites you submitted your article to are getting indexed well by the search engines, then your article being found on their website first might get it in the top 10 results.

Placing it into your own website with no or low PR might not have gotten the article indexed at all.

I hope this article will clear up some of the myths about article marketing and that it has helped you understand how and why it works.

3 Steps To Getting Hundreds Of Backlinks To Your Website Absolutely FREE

Link Popularity as you know plays a BIG part in your websites ranking within the Search Engines.

So, the basic breakdown is, the more links pointing to your website, the higher up the search engines will rank your website.

More importantly though is getting those High PR websites linking back to yours.

The question at hand is... "How can I get those High PR links without having to buy High PR links and/or spend countless hours surfing the web for link partners with the possible potential of being denied?"

And as webmasters, we can not afford to waste time, especially if your starting out on a part time basis.

We must utilize every minute we can to getting the most out of our efforts.

So with that being said, I'm going to reveal to you the 'Back Door' strategy I use for getting those High PR links to your website Absolutely FREE and have them begging you to come back.

And the cool thing is this can be done following these 3 steps I'm about to mention so pay attention because if you do just this, you will not only get hundreds of backlinks to your website, you'll also get hundreds, if not thousands of Targeted visitors to your website at the same time...

...all for FREE!

Are you ready?

Good, because I am.

Step #1. First you must write an Article.

The first step is to write an related article about your Product or Service that draws the reader in and gets them to click through to your website once they finish reading it to find out more about you and your Product or Service.

Now, your probably wondering why you have to write an article.

Well, it's real simple actually because what do you get to put at the end of your article?

Your 'Resource Box' with your website information and most important of all... your URL pointing back to your website.

So when someone chooses to publish your article in their newsletter or on their website, blog or article directory, they MUST add your 'Resource Box' with your website information and URL.

I know some of you are saying... "I don't know how to write an article" ... well, your not alone.

Here are a few resources I've put together for you so you can get someone else to write them for you.

The first is team-schuman.com - http://article-writer.team-schuman.com. Article Writer is a Team-Schuman.com business that writes articles exclusively for you to copyright 100% as your own. When you buy articles from them you can rest assured that you are the only one who gets them. They are yours exclusively to do with whatever you want. Make a web page out of them. Post it on your blog. Put it in your newsletter. Submit it to article directories, or for social networking. Submit it to ezine directories. It's yours to copyright as your own.

The second resource is getarticlesdone.com/ - http://getarticlesdone.com/- I think their articles are the cheapest and the best place to get quality content done fast. Like Team-Schuman.com, the articles you order here are 100% your own. You can change them, sell them, put them on your site, blog, autoresponder, pack them into a pdf or submit them to article directories. You can put your name as author under the article. You are free to use your articles in any way you want.

So, I think this will get you started in the right direction.

Remember, your article is the Nuts and Bolts of this 'Back Linking' strategy, so make sure you put some effort into it to get it as much exposure as possible.

Step #2. Submit your article to Article Directories.

This is the next step and an important one at that because this is where your article or articles are going to get picked up by website owners and/or ezine publishers who are in constant need of fresh, quality information to feed their audiences hunger for information.

There are literally hundreds of Article Directories out there and thousands of ezine publishers looking for quality content on a daily basis. And if they choose your article for publication, they must include your 'Resource Box' with your websites information and URL.

It's all about the numbers. The more Article Directories and websites you submit your articles to, the more potential Backlinks you'll get to your website.

And since Article Directories have recently adopted RSS(Real Simple Syndication) technology into the mix your articles will even get More mileage without you lifting a finger, creating even more Backlinks to your website.

More on RSS in a minute.

Are you starting to see the Power behind writing your own articles.

I hope so.

Step #3. Create your own RSS Feed for your articles.

This last step is a very Powerful step as well.

What you need to do is set up your own RSS Feed for your articles.

Now, if you don't know what RSS is here's the basic definition...

RSS is by definition - an acronym for 'Real Simple Syndication' or 'Rich Site Summary', and the .XML extension is the format used for distributing your news headlines via the Web, which is known as 'Syndication.

'Syndication' is where the TRUE power of RSS is unleashed, getting your message or information across the web in an INSTANT to websites, subscribers and/or readers who subscribed to your RSS Feed.

The easiest way for you to do this is to set up your own Blog either through...

Wordpress.org - http://www.wordpress.org

Or through...

Blogger.com - http://www.blogger.com

Wordpress is a little more advanced so I recommend if you don't have alot of experience with Blogs or installing scripts that you go set up a Blogger blog which will only take you less than 5 minutes to do.

I'm just giving you some options, that's all.

Once you've set up your Blog the only thing left for you to do is add you articles.

TIP: Make sure you hyperlink your URL and use Anchor Text with your most targeted keywords. By doing this the Search Engine spiders will rank your website higher under that keyword term you specify in your Anchor Text.

After you've added your articles all you have to do now is submit your new RSS Feed to RSS Directories and RSS Search Engines.

Here's a few resources for you to get started with.

Ping-O-Matic - http://pingomatic.com

RSS Top 55 - http://www.masternewmedia.org/rss/top55

That's it.

Now I know I dumped alot of information on you within this article so just take it Step-By-Step because once you implement it properly it will benefit you for years to come with Backlinks to your website and FREE targeted traffic via the Search Engines, Website Owners and eZine Publishers.

3 Key Off-Page Search Engine Optimization Methods

On-page search engine optimization is definitely one of the key methods if a website owner would like to improve the results for his or her website's searchability. However, on-page SEO often entails technical skills. Why? Not a lot of people are HTML enthusiasts. This is often what needs to be tweaked to do an excellent job in optimizing web pages.

What if a geek friend already did the on-page optimization and now you want to know how you can contribute to the "search engine goodness" of your website? Off-page optimization is the next step. And the results you will have to pine for are one-way backlinks. Why? This is how many of the major search engines such Google, Yahoo! and MSN rank websites. The more backlinks from relevant sites with good page rank, the merrier.

So how exactly do you gather backlinks? It's not an easy task but it's definitely less nerve-wracking than HTML if you are not the techie type. Here are some off-page SEO tips:

1. Article Marketing

Quality content has been discovered to be real king. Everyone is hungry for fresh and quality info and providing it will make backlinks go pouring in. It helps a lot to be a keen writer to be successful on this endeavor. Also, practise the proper way of using a resource box. It should only include a website that contains information relevant to the article you submit to article directories.

2. Forum Participation

Look for forums that are relevant to your website's content and keep on sharing information that will be indispensable for the members of the forums. Your signature or that tag-along message at the last part of each of your posts is what will work for your off-page SEO campaign. Keep it simple and make sure that it conveys something about your website. Learn how to hyperlink to make it easy for the people who want to visit your site.

3. Blogging

Blogs or web logs are now the most popular weapons of SEO experts. Aside from being easy-to-update, they don't require a too formal tone, which is what many readers are into. Informal dialog which can be accomplished through readers leaving comments and the blog author replying to the comments is what also keeps blogs fresh and search engine friendly. Maintaining a blog that's again relevant to your website's content will keep the search engines in touch with your site. Don't forget to have a link on your main website from your blog.

The secret to be successful in carrying out these off-page SEO methods is to be consistent. Submitting quality articles to websites at least two to three times a week and regularly producing content for your personalized blog is a surefire way to make your website stand out. Forum participation should also be something done more frequently since it will not only help you up your website's popularity with the search engines but also make you learn new stuff from other forum members' participation. Also, if you discover that you don't enjoy these stuff, there's always a plan B - hire someone to do them for you!

15 Tips To Drive Traffic To Your Blog

There are many factors that make blogs much better than normal WebPages including the speed at which blogs are indexed, ability to submit to blog directories & normal directories, pings and track backs. All these little things can help drive more traffic to blogs. Here are 15 popular techniques you can use:

1.) Create at least four keyword posts per day. Most of the top blogs such as Boing Boing, Daily Kos, and Instapundit (with literally tens of thousands of visitors per day) publish an average of 30 small 100-150 word posts per day according to "Secrets of the A-list Bloggers: Lots of Short Posts" by http://TNL.net

2.) Submit to My Yahoo! When you submit your own RSS to My Yahoo it is indexed by Yahoo.

3.) Submit to Google's Reader. When you submit your own blog RSS to Google's Reader the Google Blog Search will index your site.

4.) Add a relevant link directory to your blog and trade links like a demon possessed! Although it may take more time than simply submitting to a search engine one time, this method is perhaps the best way to drive traffic to your site. Use software such as Zeus to speed up the link trading process.

5.) Use ping sites like ping-o-matic. Ping your site every time you add a new post.

6.) Submit your blog to traditional search engines such as AltaVista, and MSN.

7.) Submit your blog to traditional directories such as DMOZ. Directories (particularly DMOZ) increase relevance with Google. DMOZ is very picky, but what do you have to lose by trying?

8.) Submit to as many RSS Directories and Search Engines as possible. This is a simple but repetitive process that can be done with software such as RSS SUBMIT.

9.) Comment on other blogs. Do not just leave short, lazy comments like "I agree." Leave well thought out replies that will force readers to wonder "who wrote this?"

10.) Use track backs. If there is a blog that you refer to or quote and it is highly relevant to your subject, leave a track back. It increases your link popularity and may even score a few interested readers from the linked site.

11.) Go offline. Use newspaper ads, public bulletin boards, business cards, even stickers to let as many people as possible know your blog exists.

12.) Ad a link to your blog in your e-mail signature block.

13.) Use Groups (Usenet). Find a relevant group on Google groups, Yahoo groups, MSN groups or any of the thousands of other FREE group services and find like minded people and talk with them. Make sure your use your blog URL like it is your name.

14.) Use Forums. Forums are one of the best places to go for advice. Go to forums and find problems to solve. Make sure you leave your blog name, but be tactful about it; some forums get annoyed with those who selfishly drop a few links to their own site and leave.

15.) Tag your website. Tagging is a new idea that has erupted across the web. Sites like http://Del.icio.us, Technorati and many others have a social feature that allows you to place your article under keywords or "tags" that everyone interested in that tag can see.

Although these are some of the most popular ways to drive traffic to your blog, do not limit your self to tips and lists. Use your imagination and you will come up with thousands of ways to drive traffic to your blog!

3 Steps To Getting Listed In The Search Engines

You've just finished putting in all kinds of effort towards getting your website online. You're ready to take orders and make sales. The only problem is... No one can find your website! You need to get listed in the major search engines in order to get visitors to visit your website. What can you do? Follow these 3 steps and the search engines will know about your site in no time at all.

1. Write an article related to the main topic of your website.

Not sure if you know enough about writing to write an article? Don't worry about being perfect. Write about what you know. Keep the article short, between 300-600 words long. When you write the article, give out general information that anyone would gladly post on their site as valuable content. Don't try to sell your product or service in this article.

Remember the goal of the article is for you to get a valuable link back to your website, not to make a sale. In fact, if you try to make a sale in the article, most webmasters will not want to publish your article on their site. The whole goal of writing articles is to get your articles on as many websites as possible with a link pointing back to your site.

2. Include a resource box at the end of the article with your website link in it.

If you've created a good general information article that is relevant to the topic of your website, you are ready to create your resource box. Keep in mind here to get to the point quickly. It is usually considered fine to promote your product or service in this resource box but it is necessary to keep it short. You should remember that the main point of including this resource box is to get a link going back to your website. The secondary purpose of the resource box is to get readers of your article to click through and visit your website.

When including a link in your resource box, make sure that one of your links includes the main keywords of your home page. Keywords are a fancy term for the phrase or words a visitor will type in to find your website. Make the keyword the clickable portion of the link instead of your web address. Put this keyword text in between your html anchor link.

3. Submit your article to the major article directories.

Once you've created your article, submit it to the major article directories to get the article distributed on as many websites as possible. Some major article directories include EzineArticles, ArticleCity, ZapContent.com and Isnare. Some services like Isnare will even distribute your article for you for a fee.

Do these three steps and search engines will find, crawl, then list your website in their listings. It's as simple as that!

Writing the Resource Box so it Makes People Click

The internet is the information highway, this phrase has been used so may time it should be nominated for the Internet Cliché Award. People that go to the internet are subdivided into groups, but generally, they are out to search information. Whether for gaming, business, fun or anything else the internet has provided us with information that has proved to be very beneficial.

Through the recent years many people have learned the secrets of Search Engine Optimization. More and more sites have seen the effects articles have done for the traffic of their sites. Some have even created sites devoted entirely to providing articles that could be read by their website visitors and have links that could lead to many sites that are related to the topics and subjects of the articles.

For example, the sites may feature many articles about a whole lot of topics. As a website visitor reads the articles they have searched for, they can find at the end of the article a resource box that can be clicked on to link them to the site that has submitted the article. Of course the article would be in relation to the site. Lets say if the article is about rotating the tires, the resource box may lead to a link to a site that sells tires or car parts.

A resource box is what you usually find at the end of an article. They will contain the name of the author, a brief description of the author, a brief description of the sponsoring site and a link. If a reader likes what they read, they would have the tendency to find out where the article came from to read more. The resource bow will be their link to the source of the article and this will entice them to go to the site and do some more reading or research for the subject or topic they are interested in.

But like the article itself, the resource box must also be eye-catching to demand the attention and interest of the reader. While the resource bow encompasses only a small space, providing the right keywords and content for your resource box will provide more prodding for the reader to go to your site.

Now we know what resource boxes are, what are the benefits of having a good resource box? Mainly its driving traffic to your site. Many sites would allow articles to be placed in their sites because they can make use of the articles to fill their pages. They also get affiliation with other sites that can be beneficial for them as well. You can either engage the expertise of a Search Engine Optimisation company, or if you have the time, there are some changes you can make to your website yourself.

Step 1: Keyword Research
What keywords do you think your customers would type in to search for your products or services? A keyword can be one word (e.g. “optimisation”), but multiple keywords or keyword phrases are usually preferred, because they are more specific and more likely to be what your customers are looking for (eg. “ Search Engine Optimisation Australia”).

Write down as many as you can think of. Brainstorm with your team. Think of alternative words. Consider geographical phrases if they are important to your customer (e.g. “house cleaning Hornsby”). Also, get some ideas from your competitors’ websites. Try to make a list of 20-30 keyword phrases.

Choose the two keyword phrases you think would be searched for the most. But also remember, the more competition there is for a keyword, the harder it is to achieve top rankings. If you want to rank high in Google for the keyword “insurance”, you have a very long journey ahead. So try your best to select two keyword phrases that are the most relevant to you business but that are not vague nor competitive. It’s a good idea to have 2 or 3 words in each phrase (e.g. “wedding catering services”)

Once you’ve selected your two best keyword phrases the next step shows you how to make some improvements to your home page.

Step 2: Web Copy
Web copy refers to all the words or text on your website. Because content is king in the world of search engines, your keyword phrases need to be placed strategically on your webpage to convince Google that your content is highly relevant to those keywords. The more prominent they are, the better. (Keep in mind that as important as search engines are, customers come first, so make sure your copy also reads well.)

Here’s how you can increase each keyword’s prominence:

• Place your keywords in headings, preferably at the beginning of the heading;

• Include keywords towards the top of the page;

• Bold or italicise keywords where appropriate;

• Instead of having a link to another page that says "Click here to read more ", reword it to include your keywords, e.g. "Read more about our seo copywriting Services".

An important tip is to also include these keywords in your HTML “title tag”. Use your content management system to make these changes yourself, or perhaps ask your web developer to do it if you’re unsure how.

Once you have fine-tuned your home page, consider adding new content, such as detailed descriptions of what you offer, FAQs and informative articles about your products and services. (If you don’t want to write these yourself, they can be located for free on the internet - do a search for “articles directory”).

It’s also good to bear in mind that search engines can only read text, not pictures. Often web developers embed words in images to look better for website visitors or use Flash for animation, but this is a major impediment to search engines.

Step 3: Linking
Each link from another website to your website (not from your website) is considered by search engines as a vote of popularity for your business and will improve your rankings.

But it is the quality, not quantity, of the links that is crucial. The other websites should be relevant to your industry, and preferably highly regarded themselves. Ten quality links count far more than 500 links from arbitrary websites. In the same way your personal business network can have a significant impact on the success of your business, so too the online network you build on the internet.

Brainstorm all the relevant websites that could link to you, such as non-competing companies, and industry bodies and organisations. Write a friendly email to each describing the benefit their visitors would get in knowing about your business, and request them to create a link to your website. Most people will not respond first time round, so a follow-up phone call is usually required.

How do I monitor my results?
Monitor your rankings in Google over the next few months by typing your chosen keywords into the search box, and recording your ranking. Also look at your hosting reports to understand what search terms your visitors are using to find your website.

The above process can be also be repeated for each page of your website. Remember to keep updating your content, and continually increase the number of links to your website.

As you see your rankings climb you should see a corresponding increase in web traffic and a substantial increase in sales enquiries. Be sure to record the source of your customer enquiries, so you can measure the success of your marketing efforts.

Remember, if you measure it, you can improve it.

The Significance Of One Way Back Links Is Immense

by Janet Fisher

If you are new to the Net community you must learn about the importance of one way back links to enable you to be ready to become a total success online. It really doesn't matter if we have a commercial website that is making us millions of dollars per year or if it is a personal website where we're just trying to have a voice, getting additional traffic is always going to be something that is important.

One of the most important things that needs to be considered whenever you're trying to get this traffic are the keywords that you're going to use order to get it. After all, if you choose the right keywords you can receive a ton of traffic as a result but if you choose keywords at random, you will more than likely be unhappy with the results that you get.

The first step in doing this is to compile a list of keywords that are going to be used on your website. Turn your browser over to the Google external keyword tool, which is a free tool that is available through the Google search engine and is used by many webmasters for this very purpose. Plug in a few keywords that can be used to seeds and allow it to give you a list which includes synonyms. Save all of these into a text file.

From that list, you will probably be able to come up with a number of different synonyms that you had not considered before. Add these to the tool that is provided by Google and rerun your searches. Knowing this, you will have a more expanded keyword list that you will be able to use on your website. You may be able to find words that you had never even considered before.

Now that you have all of these keywords separated into list, you need to figure out approximately how much traffic they are going to be able to send to you. Make sure that you sort this list by that amount of traffic so that you can see the ones that are going to net you the most. After that, you need to begin searching for each of these keywords to find the competition, either using the tool or are doing so by hand.

Once you have the best keywords that you want to focus on in a separate list, go to Google and begin searching for each of these phrases inside of quotes. This will help you to have an overall idea of what the competition is going to be as it will show you the websites that are optimized for that particular phrase. This can narrow down the list quite a bit and make it much more manageable.

One final thing that you're going to need to do is to plug all of these keywords into your website and use them responsibly. One other thing that you want to do is to use the same keywords as link text whenever you are finding additional links into your website. When you do this, you will be able to rank well for many of the keyword phrases that you have chosen and you can also rank for a number of other key words because of the additional text on your website.

About the Author:
For a comprehensive and profitable Keyword List, visit our website

Linking Your Website for Ranking Purposes

by Jack Spencer

One of the most difficult things about owning a website to being successful with it is finding search engine rankings that are really going to put you at the top and bring you traffic on a consistent basis. The majority of us might spend some time thinking about that one single keyword that is going to bring us a ton of traffic but the unfortunate thing is, it is typically out of reach. Even if we do achieve a top ranking for that keyword, it can quickly disappear and leave us high and dry.

A much better idea is for you to look for keywords that are available reasonably and although you may need to get more of these key words than just one, you can see a lot more traffic for your efforts. I've been on the Internet for quite a few years and I've seen rankings come and go that have brought me a ton of traffic. I have to tell you the truth, however, I will take five keywords that are bringing me a lot of traffic over that one single keyword that is bringing you the same amount of traffic any day.

It really doesn't matter which keyword you're going after, a difficult or an easy one, if you don't have something in the works that is going to help you rank you are not going to be able to do so. The only thing that the search engines are able to use in order to rank the popularity of a website by keywords is incoming links. That is why you need to make sure that you are getting a variety of these links back to your website regularly.

It can be very difficult for you to get these back links regularly, especially if you are trying to do so through conventional means. You could e-mail a hundred people every day and ask them to link your site and although you may get a few links in return, it is typically not going to be worth your efforts to do so. Sometimes, you need to step out of the lines, even if only a little bit in order to make things work.

There are a number of different programs that help you to get these back links, but not all of them are going to give you the type of links that you really need. For example, some of whom will only exchange links, one between the other and the search engines will really ignore these links for the most part.

What you really need is to find a program, such as my Way links that allows you to post your links on other websites without any reciprocation necessary. Once you're inside of one of these programs, you can get as many links as you need and you will see your search engine rankings begin to climb very quickly.

Of course, it always helps for you to have a great website and content that people want to link to naturally. If you really want to compete in today's Internet world, however, you are going to need to make sure that you are getting additional links and my Way links is one way for you to be able to do so.

About the Author:
Visit our website for more information on MyWayLinks

Free Traffic System Explained

by Ahmad Hassam

Everyone seems to be interested in starting an online business these days. Is there really a difference? If there is a difference, what is it?

For starters, SEM is an abbreviation for Search Engine Marketing, and is a broad label that covers pretty much anything that will get your site listed more visibly in search engine results. This can range from utilizing back links to deliberately submitting your URL to search engines. By contrast, SEO is narrower, and stands for Search Engine Optimization. SEO is a subcategory of SEM, but any individual SEM operation does not necessarily contain SEO.

However, be careful when shopping for SEO or SEM services. So companies may just be providing services, such as submitting your website's URL to a few search engines, which you are perfectly capable to do yourself. Don't be fooled! If they do not tell you the exact services it offers in the package you have intrest in, then be sure to ask questions.

Information that would be good to gain would be what they plan on doing to increase traffic to your website. So they are submitting your URL to search engines? Which ones? Have them give you a list of those search engines. What about the use of keywords? Ask about keyword optimization of the website. Ask about META and ALT tags.

Finally, it doesn't really matter what services are offered, as long as the company uses "SEO" or "SEM". Although, SEM will be more valuable than SEO, because SEM includes SEO as well as other marketing strategies. Even though im sure not all companies are the same in packages. Just simply put, the company could just be charging you for what you could do yourself. If shopping, look for websites with noteable backgroundsand ask about all services offered. Eventually, when you feel your research is sufficient and you know you will get the best value for your money, you can proudly make a efficiently wise decision.

About the Author:
Justin Harrison is an internationally recognised Internet Marketing expert who provides world class Search Engine Optimization to website owners. With the soaring popularity and reach of the internet, people are increasingly using search engines as the favoured tool for finding specific information electronically. Thus, search engines have become an important source of traffic for a large number of websites, and SEO is now very essential for the websites' success.

The number of online services is increasing rapidly with every passing day, and to be able to stand out, you need to have a strong presence in search engine results. It is quite common to find websites getting even up to 80% of their traffic from search engines like Google and Yahoo, which highlights the significance of SEO. The bottom line is that now to be able to have any online success, you need to have a strong SEO strategy.

The first thing to keep in mind in SEO is content optimization of your website. The insertion of relevant keywords at an appropriate frequency in your website's content goes a long way in making the website search engine optimized and helps in increasing the search rankings of your web pages.

The next essential component of SEO is link building, where external links to your site are created to showcase the popularity of your website to the search engines so that they rank your site higher in results. While building links, it is important that you select sites that belong to the same area as your website does. You could get into trouble with search engines if they perceive that you are creating misleading or unnatural links to your websites.

It is important to understand that SEO is not a one time process but a continuing one. Your work does not end at merely developing a website and optimizing it just one time for search engines. As an ongoing process, it is necessary to constantly review the content of the website, active inbound links to its web pages, and the rank given by search engines for important keywords. A continuous implementation of SEO techniques to enhance rank in search engine results will result in a steady increase in the website traffic.

Given the fact that SEO is so essential for any website, SEO training becomes equally important as well, as you need to understand the nuances and ways of executing them. There are many firms that offer such SEO training to educate you on how to develop a search engine friendly website. Learning SEO from seasoned experts through these companies is the most efficacious way of becoming a master of this field.

About the Author:
Find out more about the available SEO services and SEO Trainings from SEO Magic Webs Singapore. It will also be possible to form a rough basis to project further revenue to the number of articles planned for submission, ignoring other factors such as keyword selection, onsite and offsite search engine optimisation which are not included in the study, and only on the basis of the individual writing "flair" and abilities as measured by the constant "c".

While this is by no means exact and is an approximation, keeping statistics and charts like these serves a useful function in helping the marketer to identify sudden trend changes, especially where performance or revenue suddenly falls from the norm ( or the mean ).

He can then study what has led to this deviation from the mean and why. Charting these details will make any change very apparent which may be missed otherwise.

While it is common for an internet marketer to use software scripts to track his earnings from Google Adsense, for example, most scripts do not lend themselves to this particular graphical analysis as explained. It is when the charting is done by hand, albeit in such a simple way, that the internet marketer is sensitive enough and alert to any sudden changes or is able to consider what factor to change in his article writing to derive more revenue.

He can go deeper to ask this question: " Since the revenue is directly proportional to the slope of the revenue line, what factors will change the slope?".

Knowing these factors, he can vary them and test out his changes.

By correlating revenue to the number of articles written, the internet marketer has a way to project profitability, no matter how rough. He has on his hands a set of statistics that he can use for further research and analysis, or in marketing terms "testing".

How To Become An Article Marketer

If you're at all familiar with Article Marketing, then you know that the main thrust behind your articles is the bio box or resource box. This is where you put a link to a significant website that you're trying to promote.

But that can be a real problem when you're attempting to promote a product that isn't your own.

Affiliate links can be long and rather ugly, not to mention obvious. So it becomes pretty difficult to get your readers to see you as an expert when your links have all those "=", "?" and long arrays of numbers and codes in it.

To add to the problem, most of the article directories now strip out html coding in both the article body and the bio box and hyperlink your URL instead.

So hiding your long affiliate link behind some coded text is pretty much out of the question too. Which leaves you to post your articles with your affiliate link hyerlinked in your bio box. And as you probably know, it's awfully hard to hide something that's neon blue against a background of black and white.

There are, however,a few things you can do to hide the fact that you're promoting an affiliate product. Some of them have some potential drawbacks, but when you're desperate, anything is better than nothing.

1. URL Shrinkers:

Pros: These are usually free to use and can quickly change any link to a much smaller, cloaked link. You just have to paste your long affiliate link in the box and click one button to get a mini link that will take visitors to the same site.

Cons: Your new URL will have the link shrinker's domain name. If they are a popular service you might find your links timing out when their servers get over worked.

Seasoned marketers usually know what a shrunken URL means (affiliate link).

2. PHP Script Rerouters:

Pros: Allows you to create alternate links directly on your own domain. Good for Article Marketing because they usually have you place the script in a folder named "recommends" or something similar. So your link looks like . . .

"yourdomain.com/recommends/theirproduct"

Cons: You have to manually tweak php files and upload them to your server. Then you have to have a system where you can keep track of all your real affiliate links, what you've renamed them and where they are on your server.

3. Desktop Link Management Programs:

Pros: You fill in a few lines on a form, click a couple buttons and your new links are created and uploaded to your server for you. Your real affiliate links are stored in the system along with the name and location of your rerouted links. Plus you're able to easily modify the whole process.

You can create hundreds of links for one product, which is a big plus for article marketing because if you use an article submission program you can load all your different links into different bio boxes, which solves the html code stripping problem in the directories.

Cons: They don't come free. There's a price to pay for ease, speed and efficiency. Prices vary, but expect to pay at the lowest around $40.

In any event, there are ways to successfully turn an Affiliate Marketer into a high powered Article Marketer. Affiliate links don't have to look like affiliate links anymore, which opens things up for Affiliate Marketers to use this highly effective marketing venue.

Importance Of SEO And Its Fundamental Concepts

by Lenie Gonzales

The technique of SEO, which stands for Search Engine Optimization, aids in increasing website traffic from search engines by optimizing the site for relevant keywords. You can write articles that are related to your business and submit them to article directories. All it takes is take time to create the article and submit them. The pay off though can be an increase in website traffic and more sales opportunities.

The article process is as follows: You create the article, proof read and correct the article, and submit the article.

One way articles create traffic to your web site is from the reader. The reader can find your web site address from a link in your article resource box. You have to make sure the article resource box contains a link to your website.

Article marketing is also known to be a method of viral marketing. Meaning popularity of your article has the potential to grow. For example, webmasters from other sites can use your articles to use as content on their web site. In return for allowing the webmaster for using your article, your article will include the resource box you created containing a link back to your site.

As you create more articles and more sites keep using them, the total number of links to your site increases also. Search engines are place value on incoming links to your website. This determines the how relevant your web site is. The more relevant your site becomes the higher it may place in the search engine results.

Articles can also build trust between your business and potential customers. For example, with more people buying online, writing articles gives you an opportunity to present yourself as an expert on the product people are looking for.

I consider an article as a warm lead generator. You see, people are actually looking for the information you are writing about.

Article marketing is a great way of having your site on the search engines. When writing articles, you must understand that the propagation of the article takes time. "Content IS King" and for good reason because it IS as far as the Internet is concerned.

And when it comes to web surfers, they come online for two reasons, One is to check there email and reason number Two is to search the web for "Information".

How do you think the Internet received the reputation as the "Information Super-Highway"?

Because thats what its primary purpose was before they decided to commercialize it to what it is today.

And... what do 'Articles' contain?

The answer is quite simple... "Information".

So, what does this have to do with you?

Be the one who supplies it.

It's that simple.

Now, for the rest of this article I'm going to give you 10 POWERFUL reasons WHY you should and/or need to get started using 'Articles' as one of your online marketing strategies so you too can reap the benefits.

With that said, lets move on to reason #1.

Reason #1. Search Engines LOVE them.

It's no secret that Search Engines LOVE content, so if you supply it on a regular basis your giving them a great reason to stop on by to take a look around.

Once there they'll spider and index your website which is just what you want.

Reason #2. Website and Newsletter owners always need them.

I touched base on this earlier about why web surfers come online.

Website owners need fresh content to keep there visitors and/or subscribers coming back, where as newsletter publishers also need fresh content for there "email" newsletters that they publish and send to there subscriber base.

Remember the two reasons I discussed earlier about WHY web surfers come online. BINGO!

Reason #3. They generate Life Long residual Traffic.

Articles produce Life Long residual traffic because website owners, newsletter publishers and article directories archive them for there visitors to read and search through.

And since you have a 'Resource Box' located at the end of every article you produce with your website info and URL you'll receive traffic.

Reason #4. Great way to get One-Way HIGH PR links.

This is probably one of the best reasons because when you offer your free information with 'Reprint Rights' and the website owner decides to archive your article within there article directory and their website happens to have a High PR(popularity ranking) ranking, guess what?

You'll be able to 'Piggy Back' off there PR giving your website a PR boost because at the end of every article you produce your able to leave your 'Resource Box' with all your websites info and most important of all, your URL.

Reason #5. They're VIRAL.

This is yet another great reason to start using articles as one of your online marketing strategies simple because your going to offer 'Reprint Rights' with all the articles you produce giving Website and Newsletter owners permission to publish them causing a VIRAL explosion and Traffic surge to your website.

Reason #6. You can syndicate them via RSS.

If your up to speed on the latest marketing technology called RSS(Real Simple Syndication) and you write 'Articles' on a regular basis you can set-up an RSS feed that web surfers and/or website owners can 'Opt-In' to and syndicate your 'Articles' via RSS to them, plus, you can also submit your RSS feed(s) to RSS search engines and directories.

Depending on how many 'Opt-In' this is yet another great reason to get started with 'Articles' and another way to generate LOTS of Free targeted traffic.

Reason #7. Bloggers with BLOGS need "Information" to.

Bloggers with BLOGS or Web-Logs need information to.

If you provide quality information related to a specific Blog that blog owner just might post your article on his/her blog for their audiences/readership to read giving you again more FREE exposure for your business.

It gets better. Blogs also use RSS(Real Simple Syndication) to syndicate there content to various search engines, RSS search engines and directories giving you again more FREE exposure through there feed.

Reason #8. Info-Product developers need it to.

Ever receive a free ebook of some sort in your Inbox with related articles inside it from other authors?

When you offer your articles with 'Reprint Rights' and someone decides to include your article in there ebook for a Viral marketing campaign they're working on, guess what?

More FREE targeted traffic for YOU as that particular ebook circulates across the Internet.

Reason #9. Post them to related Forums and Newsgroups.

Remember, the Internet is all about numbers and Forums and Newsgroups contain numbers to and are yet another avenue for you to gain some extra exposure for FREE for your online business through your articles.

Just make sure you read there 'Terms' before you start posting because you don't want to receive any 'Flames' in your Inbox.(They can be Nasty.)

Reason #10. You gain INSTANT credibility as an Expert.

The best way to gain the trust of your potential customers online is to supply them with quality "Information".

By doing this your stepping up and telling them that you know what your talking about within the industry your in giving them a reason to look into what you have to offer further by following the link you provided within your 'Resource Box' at the end of your article.

WoW! Are those 10 POWERFUL reasons to get started with 'Articles' or what?

You get all those benefits by just producing ONE article.

The more you produce the more you'll benefit.

Do you see how powerful 'Articles' are now and how they can take your online business to the next level?

I certainly hope so.

In conclusion: "Content IS King" online and will remain King for as long as the Internet exists.

It's now up to you to step up to the plate and decide whether or not You want to tap into this 'Proven Internet Marketing Strategy' yourself and reap all the benefits I just finished explaining above.

8 Steps to Higher Search Engine Rankings

Interested in getting your website in the top 10? You are not alone!

The world wide web is a great way to gain exposure in whatever you do. Having a website gives you the ability to have publicity and to be seen by people from all over the world.

Just having a website does not get you instant recognition. It is earned by strategically marketing your business and website. Remember, by putting up a website you are immediately entering yourself into a competition. The World Wide Web has become so saturated with websites, it's nearly impossible to be noticed… unless you have a plan.

The easiest way to be found on the web is to be listed in the search engines, such as Google or Yahoo. You can easily do this by paying to be seen by using Google Adwords or Yahoo Marketing. This can be effective, but expensive.

Ultimately, you want to have your website to show up naturally on the front page of the search engines. Follow these 8 simple steps towards optimizing your website and you will see a positive difference in your website ranking.

1. Comprise a list of search terms you want people to find your site with. For starters, this should be 3-5 word search strings. i.e. McDowell Mountain Ranch Real Estate or Toledo Organic Dry Cleaners. Something that is specific to your business or hobby.

2. Load your website with original content. Take the time to write the information in your own words. Search engines will not give you credit for someone else's work.

3. Add the key words from item 1 to your content on several different pages of your website. For example, it is better to have 500 pages with your key words listed once than to have 1 page with your keywords 500 times.

4. Know your target market. Write content that will interest them and bring them back for more.

5. Add fresh content daily or as often as possible. Ideas to keep your site fresh include blogging, writing articles, interviewing people, and adding polls or RSS feeds.

6. Keep your site for an extended period of time. There are many sites that come and go on the world wide web. The longer your site is around, the higher the search engines will rank you.

7. Drive people to your website by sending out flyers, sending out mailers, emails, writing articles, blogging, linking to other sites and gaining as much exposure as possible.

8. Submit your site to the search engines on a monthly basis. There are many search engine submission websites. Some are free and others charge a fee. Google "search engine submissions" to find one you like. Either way, you must submit to the search engines or your site will not be seen.

As your site ages and gets more information, you will see a higher ranking for your website. This does not happen overnight, but by consistently adding information, you will create a website that provides value to the end user. And ultimately, that is what the search engines are looking for… Providing good information that the end user wants.

To see an example of a relatively young site, 9 months old, that is getting great recognition - visit www.MMRTrailTalk.com. It is loaded with information that the end users love. The owner has added information on a regular basis and before long, it was loaded with useful information that the consumer loves.

Website are fun to own, work on and benefit from. However, they can take a substantial amount of time. Have a strategy and work your strategy. You will see the best results and have the most satisfaction with your website. Enjoy!

Anatomy Of An Article Submission

Writing and submitting articles to publishers in order to promote your business, services and products is a wise choice for any entrepreneur. The only cost for this kind of marketing project is your time and, if you want the maximum benefits, the amount you pay your proofreader/editor.

Many people are overwhelmed by the submission process and don't know where to begin. I have outlined below the ten steps I take with each article submission project. Having a process in place makes organizing submissions so much easier and removes the confusion of where of what to do first.

1. Start by having your article proofread and then add it to your website. Make sure you have a catchy title and a by-line that compels readers to take action.

2. Use a text to html tool to format your by-line so that your URL will appear live when your article is posted on a site. I recommend you use the tool at http://thephantomwriters.com/link-builder.pl

3. Collect the information you'll need for most submission sites including: title, author name, address, phone number, e-mail, website URL, topic, two line summary of the article, word count, line count, article URL, auto responder address (if available), document file names and 10-15 keywords.

4. Make a list of the type of submission sites appropriate for your article. I use EzineAnnouncer to collect and keep track of my submission list and I always write down the categories that are a match for my article. My latest submission qualified for more than 400 sites but your success depends upon your article topic.

5. Begin submitting to sites that accept articles by e-mail. Never send an attachment unless asked. Incorporate the entire article into the e-mail and include an option for the recipient to opt-out of your list.

6. Your next step should be to sign-up for all new submission sites on your list that require registration. Typically, you have to wait for a confirmation e-mail before submitting. You can move on to the next step while you wait.

7. Submit to all sites you have registered for and to all sites not needing registration but offering a submission form.

8. Check your e-mail, confirm your new accounts and visit those sites to add your article. Keep track of your login and password for each site.

9. Update your submission list by removing or correcting bounced e-mail addresses and URL errors. You will also need to add your new submission sites to your list.

10. Create a report to keep on your computer with the name and URL of the sites you used for submission. Update this list when you submit your older articles to newly discovered sites.

Create your own submission process by building on the steps I have provided and you will find your submissions taking less time while helping you to become more organized.

(c) 2005. Investigate which ones are the best ones to use for your purposes. At least this is true from an economical standpoint. It also seems true from the perspective of efficiency. Why put a lot of time and effort into an article that will get lousy distribution or supremely slow dispersal? Check out which ones are the best. This is an annotated list of popular and well recognized article submission services. There is no special order to the list but it includes these services: ISnare, My Article Network, Submit Your Article, Spin Distribute, Unique Article Wizard, Send Articles.com, My Way Links, Fast Submit Articles.com, 1waylinks.com, SEO Content Writers, and ArticleSubmissionServices.com.

ARTICLE SUBMISSION SERVICES.com has a sales page with typos and grammar mistakes. No thanks. I don't plan to have them submit articles for me either. Their cost is not a deal. I can get better results for less. Cost - $20 to write one article and submit to 100 directories is not efficient. At FAST SUBMIT ARTICLES they write and submit one article to 352 directories for you for $30.00! That is not bad but it is expensive unless you wrote the article yourself and have them distribute it for $6.00. EzineArticles and several other highly regarded directories are included. No free submissions allowed.

ISNARE sends one copy of your article to hundreds of webmasters. Articles must be 500 words or more. They prevent cross-posting of the same article to multiple directories. Platinum membership level is $59.95/month and includes a lot of extra services and directories than the free article submission option. The submission and acceptance of articles is substantially different for paid members than it is for free members. You will get some traffic and a decent amount of backlinks. Another company worth looking at is SEO Content Writers. They have a very professional-looking site but they are expensive. It is reasonable to assume they are delivering the goods. SEO CONTENT WRITERS offers specialized content development and quality copywriting solutions for corporations. You can hire a team of writers dedicated to your project. No free submissions are offered.

SUBMIT YOUR ARTICLE is better than ISnare. It submits to EzineArticles and other high quality directories. It applies an advanced Article Leverage technology to enhance your listings. Cost. $37.00/month. SPIN DISTRIBUTE is another network of sites service where you get links from other sites in the network AND from other sources, like directories. They also offer to write, spin, submit, and syndicate 10 articles/month for $89.00/month, and you would be hard pressed to beat that kind of value. There are smaller packages but no free ones.

MY WAY LINKS is a closed-door membership site/service where you will only get links from quality sites. The network is small compared to what My Article Network and Unique Article Wizard have for network size. Cost is $7 first month then $47.00/month You will find that UNIQUE ARTICLE WIZARD has a lot more to offer with its blog, html sites, and article directories network. You WILL get hundreds or even thousands of backlinks per article here, plus a decent amount of referral traffic. Cost. $67.00/month and worth every penny.

Article Marketing Automation, also known as MY ARTICLE NETWORK is a blog network that is roughly 10k-20k sites in size. This kind of distribution of original articles is great for backlinks and referral traffic. The current cost is $47/month. No free membership levels are available beyond a short trial. SEND ARTICLES.COM has a really brief sales page. SendArticles.com sends your articles to only 100 article directories. Don't forget a link from an article directory is only ONE type of backlink, and you want to have a variance of backlink styles for a well-rounded link building campaign. Cost for 1 article/month is $30. There is no free level of participation.

1 WAY LINKS is another network of blogs with about 1500 blogs in the network. They started out strong and I was initially pleased with their results but the quality of the sites was not maintained, too many of them turned into link-farm type sites, thus rendering their links as ineffective. This was disappointing because it was easy to use and only cost $47/month. They had a good support forum too. I am not recommending it now though.

Nonetheless, I have learned that it will be a lot less expensive and much more effective if you apply your own leverage and your own techniques to article marketing and submission. If you connect with networks that already exist and already are waiting for your articles it will cost a lot less than many of these other services mentioned. What works best in my opinion is to use either MY ARTICLE NETWORK ($47/month) if you are just starting a site, or UNIQUE ARTICLE WIZARD ($67/month) for solid power and reliability. Write your own articles or get some written where they have writers who specialize in preparing original content articles in UAW format. Use your time, money and talent wisely. It is best to create your own system. Mine is working well.

About the Author:
Donna Bessken knows experience is your best teacher.
