I only used the front bikini section, and wind jammer peice.

I must say putting on the wind jammer was VERYYY tight, to where I couldnt do it by myself, and alot of swearing. Seemed like it wasnt wide enough. Also my wind jammer did NOT have the 2 tabs that come off the bottom to connect to the little clips on the back of the rear tub, like in the website pictures… all it did was connect to the top and sides, no option to connect to bottom, sort of upset about that, as all the pictures on the site clearly have that on the SW3 wind jammer, hopefully it does not effect it’s use.

Havent been able to drive around with it yet, but just sitting in it feels cooler and blocks out ALOT of the sun.

Update: did a little driving with this today, tops do not flap around, wind jammer does a good job, blocks alot of the sun. I like.

Well I took the hardtop off my LJ and put the SpiderWeb SW1 on a few days a go. My initial reactions haven’t change. The black grommets blend right in with the top and are much better looking than the brass ones. The mesh material is thick and the stitching seems good and tight. The stitched in logo is a nice touch and will let all the other Jeepers know where to fine one of these when I am not around to tell them.

It went on very fast and was an easy one-person job. The bungee balls have held it nice and sung during my 20 mile commute at 65 MPH and there were no problems at all. Of course is moves as you drive but the only noise I could her was the flapping noise of my seat belts in the back.

Even though it was sunny but not hot, the top provided great shade for those in front. As you can see by some of the pictures below, the SW1 doesn’t reach all the way back to the turn of the rollbar so I am not sure if the folks in the back will get the sunshine or shade but more to come on that one as the season progresses. Would you recommend the two-piece top to get everything covered or do you have any suggestions? Also, a buddy of mine wants to know if this the top that you would recommend to them or would you suggest the two-piece?

So far, I really like the top and would recommend it as a fast easy air/shade solution. Very nice product SpiderWeb!!!

As you can see I have an SW1 and it’s been on there since fathers day last year. It’s a great top. Not to mention I am an all around nice guy who never wins anything, I play the lottery and get a bill from the state….. so it would be nice to be picked.

Okay, I installed all but the Windjammer piece today. Have to pick up my kids later. And the Windjammer piece does not allow entry to the rear seat from doors.

1. Packaging was great. Even though this was a demo SpiderWeb does not slack in Customer Service. I have an SW1 that my G/F got me for Fathers day last year and each time shipping was fast.

2. The fit is pretty good. I am a bit confused on the install on the top roll bar in front of the sound bar for the back half, but think I have it. Takes a little tweaking here and there to get it straight but no big deal. Printed instructions for the SW3 might be helpful for some folks.

3. The Black grommets are big improvement over the brass.

4. Still not impressed with the tie wrap for the front, came up with my own solution..

5. Having owned the SW1 I am aware of the wind noise, which is minimal and I found no difference with the SW3 so far. I have yet to take it on a long drive down the freeway. But I am confident that there will be no change.

6. The overall construction is good. There are a few corners that have pennants (or frays for non-military folk). That should be handled at production and QC. But overall I have no complaints. It’s a well made unit.

7. I have to relocate my CB from the Sound bar (see 3rd pic down in group) so that I can install the Windjammer section. No big thing there either. I was thinking of doing that anyway.

8. Not sure if I like the way the back piece comes down behind the seat. This is a personal thing. Maybe because I am used to the SW1 stopping 12″-14″ above the seat. Maybe make a “shorty” version option that stops higher up like the SW2.

To this point I am happy with what I have seen. Had the top down for a bit today but the weather is still a bit top upish . I am looking forward to installing the Windjammer. But will have to wait on the weather.

Took a few pics…

The fit was good and the reduction in wind from the back seats was great. A little bit of a struggle getting the lower corner bungees on (helps to slide the seats forward). Again the quality is good, as to be expected from SpiderWeb. Got lots of compliments. These tops are great Like said I have the SW1 that my GF got me last fathers day and I still have a soft spot for it. The versatility of these top is one of the most appealing things in my book. the nice thing is they let in enough sun with out the burn. I do recommend them. Here’s some pics;

It’s been the third weekend that I have used mine, and I still really like it. It does it’s job to keep the sun off, was easy to install, and it’s quiet and works. It’s worth the $60.

I was able to use the one they sent me yesterday. It installed easy and looked nice. It was a pain to get the front corners straped around the bar and under the plastic trim but once I figured it out it was easy to install. I was able to install mine right up to the windshield header , maybe 1 inch of gap. I will say at 6′3″ tall my head hits it when I lean forward. You will see in the pictures I tried flipping the bungee balls to the top to see if it would raise it up a bit but my head still rubbed when I leaned forward. Other than that I think it is good product. There was no flapping in the wind and the sun was blocked just enough as to still feel open but shaded some. It will be nice on hot sunny days when you don’t want to fry. All things considered I like this top but I wish I was 6′ instead of 6′3″. Here are my 2dr pics.

It had 2 more straps for the front but they were too long. The set should come with 10 long and 3 short bungees and when you put the top up you can take the two little ones off the clamp area.

here you see the balls are up but it did not raise it any. I even tried the one bungee around the surround screw but it was too loose that way. It looks much better with the balls down!!!
