So, what stage do you believe we are in?  I believe we are in the apathy to dependency state.

1. MMS – It is CRIMINAL that that the iPhone does not suppport multimedia messages.  You have to send pictures as an e-mail (only one at a time).  And you cannot receive images.  You receive a message saying go to this website and enter in this message id and password to view the picture.  Lame.

Apple has added Multimedia Messaging Support. Apple has.  I say this because AT&T has NOT.  #attfail!  AT&T says they will have MMS support by end of summer.  At least it is nice to know it is coming!

2. Attaching images to e-mail.  The only way you can e-mail is a picture is from the photo book, and only one at a time. So if you get an e-mail from someone and want to reply to the e-mail and attach a picture… nope.  You have to either add that e-mail to your contact book or WRITE IT DOWN (ugh) and then go to the photo app and send a new e-mail from there.  Lame.

They’ve not exactly fixed this totally.  But, you can now attach FIVE pictures from your photo book instead of just one.  Still wish I could start an e-mail and fetch a picture for an attachment.  At least with Cut/Paste now, (See #3) I wouldn’t have to write down an e-mail address.

3.  No Cut/Paste.  How annoying that you have to remember something or WRITE IT DOWN if you want to take something from place to another in a phone.   Lame.

YES!  This was a big request of many people.  You don’t realize how much you could use it until it is not an option.  They did a fantastic job intergrating it into the OS.

Also, Apple added PUSH technology.  So now one can get a notification from an application for certain things, i.e. an instant message from Beejive, breaking news from AP Mobile, a @reply or DM in  Twitter, etc.  Looking forward to seeing what applications use this technology.

Going into the ball park it didn’t even seem like I was in Bowling Green.  It is a top-notch facility for Single-A Minor League baseball, built in about eight months.  It still is not completely done, but was game ready.  There is not a bad seat in the park.  Mostly chair back seats with a couple lawn seating areas and party deck/picnic area.  Also there are ten luxury suites and a club level seating.  It really has something for everyone.   Below is a panoramic I took with my iPhone using an app.  Not too bad.

Bowling Green Ball Park

The team came out in local classic hot rod cars from center field all the way around the park. The WKU Red Shirts sang “My Old Kentucky Home” Clay Underwood sang the National Anthem and 30 or so people got to take a turn throwing a first pitch.  The place was sold out; almost 7,000 in attendance.  Oh, and the Hot Rods won the first home game, 8-4!

Jerry Seinfeld

Big night tonight!  I am in Lousville preparing to see the King of Comedy, Jerry Seinfeld at the legendary Palace!  Greg, my oldest brother, and I are making a fun night of it.  He is just as big of a Seinfeld fan as I am, so it made perfect sense to get him a ticket for Christmas.  And, of course, get myself a ticket for myself too.  Merry Christmas to us!
