Most people that don’t know how to cook want to learn. Because of this there are cooking schools popping up all over the country. Residents of Georgia can take part in cooking classes in Newnan, GA.
There are facilities that provide classes for both children and adults.

Let’s focus on the adults first. The best culinary school that services the people of the Newnan area can be found at The Art Insititues (or at least the nearest adult cooking classes). For children, parents can take them to the nearest Michael’s and sign them up for cooking classes (the nearest is 5 minutes up the road). Parents may also want to check out the local park district as it isn’t uncommon for them to hold cooking classes to keep the kids busy.

Adults and kids alike have an opportunity to take cooking classes in Newnan, GA. Being able to cook is very rewarding and leaves people feeling more confident about themselves. For children, these

Piedmont Newnan Hospital: One place that’s always seemingly opening their doors to collect blood is the Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Life South: One of the bigger blood donation centers in the South, Life South has drives all the time. Moreover you can go directly to them and find out about where you can go regularly to donate blood.

Red Cross: One of the world’s biggest collectors, the Red Cross has chapters all over the world connecting donors with the needy.

Giving blood is totally selfless. When you’re looking for blood drives in Newnan, you should go to these or any of the other resources in your area and give regularly. You’ll never know when your needs could be met.

A community garden comes to Downtown Newnan

It is official; Downtown Newnan will soon be home to a community garden that will be tended to by the citizens of our fair city. Restore Coweta is a wonderful local organization that was formed in 2009 for the purposes of advancing and helping people in need within the county. Restore Coweta’s current project is a community garden at Perry Street and Salbide Avenue in Downtown Newnan called New Leaf Gardens.

New Leaf Gardens is off to a great start even though the project hasn’t officially broken ground yet. Of the food and produce to be grown at New Leaf Gardens, one third is planned to be given to those who truly need it in the area, one third will be sold, and one third will been grown by Newnan residents who choose to rent plots of land. If you would like to get involved with New Leaf Gardens and grow your own produce, the space is very convenient to home, located only three miles from Jefferson Point Apartments.

While it’s true that Red Robin is a national chain restaurant, it is one of the few burger joints that truly live up to its expectations. The Newnan location of Red Robin is located within walking distance of Jefferson Point Apartments, making the trip as convenient as it is delicious. With a kid-friendly atmosphere and bottomless fries and drinks with your burger, you won’t leave Red Robin without full stomachs and happy faces all around.

New Hospital Opening Will Have Positive Impact On Newnan Economy

The opening of a new hospital in Newnan (scheduled for May 2012) is expected to create one of the most positive economic impacts on Coweta County in years. The state-of-the-art Piedmont Newnan Hospital will soon be a destination point for both patients and medical professionals, which will also create an increase of hospital support practices and businesses in the area as well.

For those individuals that are currently looking for a job, the addition of the Piedmont Newnan Hospital in our community is projected to bring an estimated 1100 new jobs to the area. Existing local businesses, the real estate market, and the education system will also benefit from the influx of physicians relocating to the Newnan area.

Residents of the Jefferson Point community are just a short drive from the hospital’s new location on Poplar Road in Newnan and can feel good about having easy access to a first-rate medical facility.

NYE Celebrations Around Newnan

Happy New Year!

December 31st is just around the corner–in fact, it’s tomorrow–which marks the end to year another year. Maybe you’ve decided to host a get together with close friends at your apartment. If you don’t have plans yet, one of the many benefits of choosing to live in the Jefferson Point apartment is that it’s convenient to everything including great restaurants and fun nightlife activities.
