As promised, I’ll be giving away another web hosting account with unlimited space and bandwidth plus 2-year free domain registration. This was the prize during my previous guessing game. I still have a few more web hosting accounts that I couldn’t use, that’s why I decided to give them away, instead of waiting for those to expire.

To make it easy for you to grab this free web hosting from Dreamhost, I will just re-post the undeciphered puzzle that I created a few months ago. Puzzle BS6 was not deciphered and nobody answered it correctly. Nobody got even close to the hints.

Maybe this month, someone from you can answer this puzzle.

Here are the tips and hints of the Undeciphered Puzzle:

The Undeciphered Puzzle (BS6)

The first one to answer the puzzle correctly, wins! Please answer this puzzle using the format below:

There’s only one right answer. A correct explanation is required to support the right answer. If you’re explanation didn’t satisfy the hints and tips, then your answer is wrong. It SHOULD satisfy all the hints and tips. Ok?

You can answer as many times as you want, as long as you don’t spam. Please explain clearly. No repeated explanations allowed. The best way to get the right answer is to explain each tip and hint, and elucidate why it satisfied this hint and that hint, blah blah blah.

My post title is the French Decree No. Nine Thousand and Two, which means that for every little thing you do, you do it because it’s little and little things are easy to do. The decree was written by Onziminic-Markku Sauvé of the French Council of State. The word décret, literally “decree”, is in current legal usage in France and is used to refer to orders issued by the Prime Minister.

So why am I writing about this? Wala lang, to be unique. Nyok!. The above title was actually a horizontally flipped phrase and the definition above was absolutely nothing but a joke. If you flip it back, you can read it as “My Top Ten Emerging Influential Blogs for 2009″. All who participated in the Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs had the same uniform title, I flipped mine to be different from the rest. I’m not crazy… who says I am? I know no one did, I just love to type “I’m not crazy”. Hehehe…

I have my list, but it’s not complete yet. I want to publish a complete list here so that I will not be updating it again and again while the contest is in progress. As a result, it will be less headache for Mam Janette, because she will not be checking this post every now and then to see if there are any updates made.

Yes, iBlog5 is the 5th Philippines Blogging Summit. I know you, you know, we all know. I don’t know what to write about iBlog5 because I arrived late and I didn’t listen to 90% of the speakers. Well, iBlog5 was another successful event. The speakers did great (based on the write-ups of other bloggers) even if I didn’t listen to all of them and a lot of bloggers attended compared to the previous iBlog.

Got time to spare? Why not board a Cebu Pacific Flight and enjoy the long waiting time. Cebu Pacific’s legendary flight delay promos — Flight 5J 965, Manila to Davao, delayed once, delayed twice, and delayed thrice. Flight 5J 972, Davao to Manila, delayed for 3 hours. Now , i need not to elaborate more on their flight delay promos because you have to experience it yourself to fully appreciate it.

What I want to share with you here is my unforgettable adventure with their bonus surprise feature on the Arrival Department.

4:50 PM Manila time, 5J972 was scheduled to depart but for some reason it was moved to 7:40 PM. For two straight hours all of us clueless passengers waited earnestly for the ‘go’ signal for boarding while the staffs and crews kept their mouth shut. At 7:00PM, it was finally announced that the flight schedule was moved to 7:40PM. We wonder why it took so long to make the announcement. For those who didn’t bother to take a bathroom break in fear of being left behind finally got up but only a few seconds late after soiling themselves. Around 10:00 PM, flight 5J 972 arrived safely in Manila. Cebu Pacific is Always on Time eh? Yeah right!

Upon arrival, I went to the baggage claiming area. I stood there for 10 minutes but was unable to spot my baggage. I waited for another 20 minutes but still my beloved baggage was nowhere to find. Heck, I persisted and another 30 minutes went by without any signs or traces of my baggage. After another hour, all baggages were claimed. The baggage area was clear and empty. My baggage, together with 9 other passengers’, were a no-show.

Magic? No! Scientific Explanation? The baggage was simply lost or delivered to the wrong air craft due to the negligence of the employees assigned in Cebu Pacific’s departure area. Or maybe, the security guard in the check-out booth didn’t check the bags that were coming out from inside the Airport. The tags were not monitored. The security was not that tight compared to the departure area of Cebu Pacific.

Now, some of my valuables were gone because I trusted the cheapest and most unsecured airline company. I know this sucks. Some of you might think I got what I paid for. I took the risk of choosing Cebu Pacific as my Airline choice. The other 9 passengers were also helplessly mad at Cebu Pacific’s security management.

Oh but one of the passengers was lucky enough to receive a call from an anonymous passenger claiming that he brought home a bag that isn’t his. He then called Cebu Pacific and was directed to him. So just how secure is Cebu Pacific’s arrival department? It is almost below 0. It’s security system is poor and pathetic.

Another evidence is the magical disappearance of the security guards during closing hours. So there is no one left to check the baggages during closing hours eh? Thieves can conveniently go in and out from the Airport because nobody checks the baggages anymore!

So what I did next was I reported my missing baggages. After reporting, they will require you to fill up this stupid form and wait for 7 days.

They gave me these numbers: 853-9872, 556-4687, and 09228173470, so that I can follow up my case, but to no avail. The numbers they gave me was gibberish. One of the numbers can’t be reached, the other two didn’t answer my calls. I also contacted the Cebu Pacific’s Lost Baggage Customer Service E-mail using the contract form in their website, but until now no one answered my e-mails.

I know they will not mind about my case because I’m just an Economy Class Passenger and I’m not powerful enough to claim back what I’ve lost. I think If I’m rich enough or VIP enough through the eyes of Cebu Pacific, they will gladly assist me with my dilemma. But I’m nothing, I’m just a lowly jobless slacker that blogs to make a living.

So a message to all snatchers and those who plan to steal “Just head on to Cebu Pacific’s arrival area and claim as much free stuffs as you want. You’ll never whats inside until you open it. Enjoy your free gifts from Cebu Pacific. All you have to do is to choose a bag that you want, then remove the label. Once you removed the label, you can freely claim it as your baggage! Yep! So easy eh? So if you are planning to grab some stuff that’s not yours without anyone noticing you, just proceed to Cebu Pacific Arrival Area, NAIA 3. You can also get inside even if you’re not a passenger because security guards outside will not ask you for a ticket or any verification that you are a passenger. Just tell them that you left something inside. Wait until the automatic baggage handler turns on. Once it has turned on, the passengers can then claim their baggages. The baggages will be put randomly in the baggage handler, then just pick the bag that you want. Once you have the bag of your choice, you can get it and put it in your push cart. Once you have it in your push cart, it’s 100% yours!”

Anika did a great job by answering multiple puzzles in this series. However, Richie was the first one to answer all 3 puzzles correctly, that’s why Anika didn’t grab any prize, but what she did was awesome! Jen and Veej made a clever job by waiting for possible right answers, and posting it in the comment thread. Veej and Jen almost made it (one of them almost got $150.00), but they didn’t know the answer to BS6. Veej wasn’t lucky enough because Jen was the first one to get 4 answers correctly. If there were two 2nd placers, Veej will also get $50.00! But any, Veej still made a fantastic job! Richie was one of the best puzzle solvers in the previous blue stickman puzzle challenge. He was the first to answer BS4 and BS8, then grabbed the 3rd place by answering BS5 first! That’s 3 correct answers in a row! Even if his answers on other puzzles were wrong, he didn’t bother about it. He took advantage of the mechanics by posting unlimited answers, giving all possible answers and hoping that one of these answers will hit the jackpot! Neo on the other hand got BS4 first, this gives other puzzle solvers a tip on BS4. Jonah got lucky in this puzzle series because Richie left the 5th place throne by grabbing the 4th then the 3rd! That’s it for the Blue Stickman puzzle answers summary!

My apologies for the delay of the hints, mechanics and tips of the previewed puzzle in my previous post. In this post I will showcase 5 puzzles, as stated in my title. The 4th to 8th Blue Stickman IQ Puzzle will be posted here. Of course, prizes at stake will be much bigger compared to the previous puzzles. This time, all puzzles are hex-free. It simply means that you don’t need to get the hex value of each blue stickman to get the right answer, just like what you did on puzzles BS2 and BS3.

BS4 to BS8 puzzles are very easy, similar to the first Blue Stickman IQ Puzzle. But still, you need to think and explain your correct answer in order for it to be valid. All IQ Puzzles in this series are logical. You just need to look at the picture and elucidate your answer. Some puzzles have 1 answer, some of them have 2. Each of the puzzle has corresponding tips and hints. All puzzles have the same mechanics.

The prize at stake to the first one who can get all puzzles correctly is $150.00 USD via Paypal. There are 5 puzzles below. You need to get the right answer and explanation in order to claim your prize. There are also corresponding prizes if you can’t get all the 5 answers correctly.

My two previous puzzles were deciphered by a few of the blog sphere’s most talented bloggers. Yay! Congrats to all of you, you know who you are. The one who will receive $100.00 is the one who first answered the two IQ puzzles correctly and satisfied the hints accordingly. I am giving more than $100.00 USD because I’m so happy of the outcome and I’m very glad that these individuals exerted effort to solve the puzzle and gave the correct explanation and answer. Even if they were not the first one to post the correct answer, they still deciphered it with their own brilliant ways.

Congratulations to Ron Del Rosario, the Mysterious Neo (because he has no blog, that’s why he’s mysterious for me, hehe), and Dexter Panganiban. Technically, Ron was the first one to get the right answer, but for BS3 only. Followed by Dexter, and then Neo for BS2 and BS3 (Sadly, Neo’s answer is invalid because it didn’t follow the mechanics and his explanation was not enough to satisfy all the hints, but his answer was right). Finally, Jen gave it a shot by answering puzzles BS2 and BS3 correctly. She satisfied all the hints but was confused with the 204 and 205. For clarification, 205 is really greater than 204 based on Ron’s explanation and Neo’s. To sum it all, only Jen got all the hints and satisfied each and everyone of them. She also got the intransitive verb: To practice Witchcraft, which also means Hex.

If you’re keen enough just like Ron, Neo, Dex, and Jen, you will quickly notice that the only barrier in answering this puzzle is hex. Almost all the hints are pointing to this magic word. John Nash is the inventor of hex games, there are no hex colors in the stone age, hex is the intransitive verb which means to practice witchcraft, and a whole lot more is pertaining to the word Hex.

If you notice, H and D is the one that we are looking for because it satisfied the hint 570565 as the sum of all the hex values of the blue stickmans inside the box. There are no hints that contradicts this logical approach. With the help of Thomas Knoll, creator of Photoshop, you can easily get the hex values of the blue stickmans. As you can see in the image above, only C, R, E, A and M has a unique left hand. The hex value of their left hand is 0738CC, while the rest had no 0738CC in their left hand. That’s what make them unique. The logical approach to get the right answer on this puzzle satisfies all the hints. If you want to read the rest of the hints, click here.

Below is the picture of the puzzle as previewed in the announcement of the first IQ puzzle winner. All you need to do is find the common tribes. There are 15 Blue Stickman tribes in the picture. These tribes are grouped in boxes. The number of tribe members differ from each other, but there are also tribes with the same number of members. There are two unique tribes and these tribes are different from the rest, but they have a common factor (The hints will help you find what’s common with them). All you need to do is choose two boxes (2 tribes) below and explain why are they different from the rest and how they are related to each other.

BLUE STICKMAN PUZZLE NO. 2 MECHANICS:

To all IQ Puzzle fanatics out there, this is what you’ve been waiting for! The Tips, Hints and Mechanics of the 2nd Blue Stickman IQ Puzzle. After the success of the first IQ Challenge, I’m proud to give you the second IQ Challenge! This time it will be a lot harder, but not that hard. The Blue Stickman First IQ Puzzle Winner Is…

After 10 days of solving the Blue Stickman IQ Puzzle, we finally have a winner! There were many possible answers in this puzzle, but there was only ONE correct answer. I would like to thank all who tried to solve the puzzle. Everyone had their own brilliant explanation of who is the real Blue Stickman. 6 talented individuals got the right answer, but only one got it FIRST.

If two of them posted it simultaneously on an exact time, then two of them will win. But there was only one who got the right answer first. This guy answered the puzzle early and correctly. He posted his answer last January 30, 2009 at exactly 4:22 am. The puzzle was pretty simple that’s why the explanation of this puzzle was simple as well. Others are just trying to complicate themselves that’s why they thought the puzzle was hard and impossible to answer.

If you followed the instructions correctly and read all the tips, you will have the right answer instantly. That was what Dean Lozarie did. He answered it first and he answered it correctly! His method was he counted the number of dots as what Tip Number 3 suggested. He was a keen observer and he was fast! He followed all the tips and he got the correct answer!

The other 5 who also got the correct answer were: Joyfulchicken, Philos, Mi, Tonex, and Rina!

Others also had brilliant and logical explanations, but their answers were not correct because there’s only one “simple” and correct answer. Others want to complicate simple problems that’s why they arrived to a complicated solution, but still logical and can be accepted by philosophers. Hehe.

I keep on asking that stupid question to myself. I really can’t find my phone inside this very small room. I already checked every inch of the floor, every corner, up, down, left, right, north, south, east, and west. Inside my cabinet, inside my desktop, inside my laptop, inside my pillows, inside my brain, inside everything, but to no avail. This happened to me for the third time but this one was worst, because 3 days already passed and still, I can’t find my cellphone.

I know that it’s in here but I can’t find it. I know it’s right in front of me, but I can’t see it. What I need to do now is be patient. Maybe someone supernatural inside this room stole it and is playing around with me. Or maybe, I’m just over reacting. Aw… I don’t know what to say next. I think I need to buy a new one. But I need my old phone number, so I guess I should wait for it until it shows in front of me. I already did everything… I’m hopeless now.. Huhuhu.

To everyone who sent me a message for the past few days, please don’t expect a reply because I don’t have my phone. It was gone, gone inside my small room.

Ang daming “the” no? Hehe. 2008 was really an unforgettable year to me and maybe to almost all of us. To continue what I have started last 2006 and 2007, I will write what I have achieved in the year that was. I will not and cannot include all, but here are some of the most unforgettable things that happened to my life and my blog in the year 2008:

1. I earned my first million (in PHP) from my online earnings, spent all of it and saved only 3,000 pesos in my bank account. That’s why I really hate myself, I should learn to save. Grrrrrr. I also received my first check from Adbrite, first payment via Paypal from AW Surveys, Kontera, and Chitika in the year 2008!

2. Joined a mini-SEO contest (this is the second SEO contest that I joined, but technically this is the first one. Because I did nothing when I joined Isulong SEOph. I created an Isulong SEOph site and watched my site go up in the SERPs by doing nothing. How lame, hehe). I almost won, just almost. Ranked 1st until the last month, but was defeated 2 days before the final checkpoint.

3. Participated on a World SEO Contest and placed 2nd on the first month, 7th on the last month and 12th on the last day. To cut the story short, I didn’t win.

4. Generated my highest Adsense revenue. Compared to 2006 when I only earned $1.00 and 2007 where I earned around $100.00. Now it’s bigger, I mean BIGGER!

5. Was featured on Manila Bulletin’s Blog-o-Rama by Annalyn Jusay. This was the second time my name was written on a newspaper! The first was when I passed the DOST-SEI scholarship program! Yay!

6. Was mentioned on Philippine Daily Inquirer’s Filipino blogs Suit Up for Business article by Anna Valmero

7. Ranked 1st in the Philippines’ Top 100 Blogs for 2008 based on Alexa, Feedburner, Google, and Technorati by Ratified.org.

This post is all about the evolution of my blog. I will write about the chronicles of Jehzlau Concepts by showing you what this blog looked like way way back before it had an ugly header. While I was browsing my old pictures here in my laptop, I found out that my logo before was worse compared to my present logo. More about the history of Jehzlau Concepts after the jump!

This is my first header way back 2006. I really love this because it was unique (to my eyes before), even if it looks terrible (to my eyes now).

After a year, it was changed to this narcissistic header. These images were taken from the employee attendance system of the company where I was working before. Everyday when you log in and out, a picture of you will be saved in the database for verification purposes (Kung ikaw ba talaga yung nag login, so walang lusot! Hehe.).

During the Widgetbucks boom, I then changed my header to match the Widgetbucks ad. This ad network had higher CTR and eCPM compared to Adsense before, and I was one of the first WB earners! Yay!

By the end of 2007, a brilliant idea appeared in my mind. Why not create an ugly header to make it look more unique. That’s why I came up with this!

After receiving tons of comments that my header sucks and was tagged as the ugliest blog header in the entire Milky Way galaxy, including Andromeda, Triangulum and all galaxies inside the Local Group of galaxies, (and also inside the Hickson Compact group of galaxies and M81 group of galaxies) I came up with this cool header!

So that’s it! I now have a new header and my layout was tweaked a bit. I will now show you what are the new features here in my blog. Here’s a snap shot of the new layout, viewed in 1280×800 widescreen resolution.

This layout is proudly NOT W3C compliant and has 41 Errors found as XHTML 1.0 Transitional. In short, it has an invalid XHTML Markup! But I don’t really care as of now. (Because I’m too damn lazy to fix the errors *sigh*). As long as it looks good in Firefox, Chrome, Opera, IE and Safari, I’m fine with it.

Another cool new feature in this blog is the Quick Menu. A fixed menu at the bottom of my blog.

In this Quick Menu bar, you will find my Entries RSS, Comments RSS, Current Online Visitors, Privacy Policy, and a nifty button to get back to the top of the page.

And also, a magical and super oh-so-awesome feature of this quick menu is that it changes its options when you are viewing a single blog post! As you can see, a home page button now appears in the quick menu together with the comment button. Once you click the comment button, you will then see the comment box in a blink of an eye! Now that’s fast and extremely amazing!

Another great addition to this blog’s layout is the comments show-off box that is floating on the left of each and every post on the main page. Once you click it, you will be redirected to the blog post of where the comments were.

The final and most amazing feature of this tweaked layout is the blog’s description position. It is uniquely placed on the right side of the blog layout. Even if you scroll up or down, it doesn’t go with your scrolling. It remains there, fixed and as it is! I’m serious, try it yourself!

Need Suggestions on Parts of a Desktop PC

I’m planning to buy myself a Desktop PC this Christmas from HP and I’m contemplating between an HP Pavilion Elite m9299d Desktop PC or HP Pavilion s3690d Slimline PC. But I realized that I can save more If I assemble my own Desktop PC. I need suggestions from PC/Hardware geeks or not geeks out there of what parts to buy for maximum PC performance (on gaming, photo editing, video editing, eating, swimming, and everything that we can do inside Milky Way Galaxy).

I’m eyeing on an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 Processor , 2 GB DDR2 Memory (or 4GB if I can make use of it), and 1TB SATA HDD. I don’t know what Motherboard to buy, what Graphics Card to buy (nVidia GeForce, ATI Radeon or any better??), and other important specs of a PC to consider. My reason why I’m buying an HP Pavilion is to have my very own 24″ HD Widescreen LCD, because it’s free when you buy an HP Desktop PC. (It’s worth Php20k+ if you’ll buy an PH Widescreen LCD alone)

If I can save more bucks and create a more powerful PC, why not assemble my own and maximize the value of my money and the performance of my very own personal computer.

So the main specs and parts of my dream PC are:
Intel Core 2 Quad Processor
1 TB SATA HDD
2GB DDR2 Memory / 4GB DDR2 Memory
HP 24″ High Definition Widescreen LCD
Wireless Logitech Keyboard and Mouse
Tower Case = Need a slim one, but I don’t have any idea what to buy.
Motherboard = No Idea
Graphics Card = No Idea
Wireless Card = (I’m still skeptical to buy a WLAN card or just buy an External Linksys Wireless-N Adapter.)
And… Just add more parts if necessary.

I hope someone here can suggest what are the best specs for a PC (And what’s the possible total cost) to obtain maximum performance, stability, durability and all lity lity. Hehehe.

Any PC part suggestion or recommendation would be greatly appreciated.

I always carry my nifty Sony DSC-T200 camera with me. This is my very first Sony gadget. This blog bought this for me a year ago (the earnings from this blog of course, not literally this blog, heehee…). I was super satisfied with its performance and it greatly serves its purpose for me (To take pictures). I really love it because it’s handy, stylish and takes great images.

It was like a DSLR in stealth, disguised in a small and compact metallic casing. I’m really impressed with this camera specially when taking photos in macro mode. It can take astounding close-up shots just like a Digital SLR.

Those are just a few of the thousands of images stored in my laptop, captured by my Sony T200. A lot of my friends told me that my shots are delighting their senses. They keep on saying that I am a pro! “Astig! galing ng kuha mo, pro na pro! Anong DSLR gamit mo?!?!” But the truth is, I’m not. I’m below mediocre in the field of photography and I actually don’t know how to use a DSLR. And without Sony DSC-T200, I can’t capture those great portraits. This powerful camera bring memories back to life! If I don’t have my Sony digital camera with me, those memories were surely swallowed by oblivion, erased from our forgetful gray matter, and completely vanished in black and white.

This camera really brings great impact in my life. I really love it because I learned a lot about basic photography, captured a lot of alluring pictures and took a wide array of glamorous shots in the places that I’ve been to and events that I have attended. The chronicles of my journey here on Earth are remembered with my Sony T200. The sweetest and happiest moments with my love ones and family are easily reminisced and cherished with my Sony T200. The everyday beauty of our mother earth, the panoramic views of our industrialized city, the eye-catching architectures of our country’s famous landmarks and establishments, the unseen beauty of our surroundings, the living things around us, every fowl in the air and every fish in the sea and every living thing that moveth upon the face of the earth are captured with my Sony DSC-T200. (naks may pa fowl in the air and fish in the sea pa no? hehe…)

As each day ends and a new day comes, ahmmmmmmmm… la na akong masulat.. nyok

Needles to say, Sony DSC-T200 is a great companion when taking pictures, memories, living and dead animals (hehehe), and every matter, be it solid, liquid, or gas! Anywhere, anytime, and… any… basta any any, you know it na! It definitely gave significance in my life just like the Sony’s World’s First Slimmest Camera with Optical Image Stabilizer, which will help me capture more unforgettable moments and memories that I’ll cherish forever… Yay!

My post title should be “Nuffnang Philippines’ First Movie Premiere for Bloggers” but after reading the mechanics twice, I found out that I missed one very important instruction: 4.
