Choosing between AMP or PWA is a really difficult dilemma. You want your website to load instantly after it’s clicked from the Google Search results, but you also want to make your blog look like a native app and prompt users to add your website to their home screens. It’s kind of tricky to activate both, but there’s a way to easily harness the power of both Progressive Web Apps and Accelerated Mobile Pages in WP.

Wondering how to use the lightning fast AMP and the awesome PWA at the same time in your WordPress blog, here are two WP plugins that are compatible with each other. You just need to install them in the right order.

There are many AMP plugins out there, but this one does its job really well. Surprisingly, this is not the “official” AMP plugin for WordPress by Automattic. The plugin I recommend is the second most popular called AMP for WP – Accelerated Mobile Pages by Ahmed Kaludi and Mohammed Kaludi. This one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/accelerated-mobile-pages/

Install the AMP plugin first, set it up (There’s a newbie mode and expert mode, it’s up to you what setup option you want). Then once you’re done, install the PWA plugin that I mentioned in this post. After installing the PWA plugin, go to Settings > Super PWA > Scroll down a bit, then tick “Use AMP version of the start page”.

That’s it. You have enabled both PWA and AMP in your WordPress site. It doesn’t show the add to screen prompt on user’s first visit from Google SERPs, but you can disable the “Automatically add AMP at the end of menu url” and disabled “Mobile Redirection” in AMP > Advance Settings, so that when the user clicks on the menu link or any link, he/she will be redirected to a normal non-AMP page and that the magical PWA prompt will trigger.

Try it, it’s fun to explore these two awesome plugins.
The post AMP or PWA?

If you’re already an expert in “Progressive Web Apps” and you already have a mobile app version of your WP blog or non-WP blog, then this post is not for you. For those who don’t have a clue what I’m talking about, Progressive Web Apps or PWAs are web applications that are regular websites, but can appear to the user like native mobile applications, but it doesn’t consume that much precious space in your mobile device compared to native apps. You’ll save around 99.9% of storage in your smartphone. You don’t need to update it and it’s blazing fast.

PWA attempts to combine features offered by most modern browsers with the benefits of a mobile experience. As of 2 months ago, PWAs are supported by the following browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, UC, Opera, and Samsung Internet for Android. In the next few months, or perhaps, weeks, Safari on iOS will also support PWAs. Just google “Progressive web apps(PWAs) are coming to a Safari near you by Prathik S Shetty” or “PWAs are coming to iOS 11.3: Cupertino, we have a problem by Maximiliano Firtman”.

If you want to know more about PWA, just click this link: https://developers.google.com/web/progressive-web-apps/

If you’ve read the entire intro and clicked Get Started and you went to this page, https://codelabs.developers.google.com/codelabs/your-first-pwapp/, you probably said (in your mind) that, “whew, this is a lot to digest, maybe next time when I’m not busy”. But fear not, you don’t need to digest it all and know more about those Service Workers, Manifest and Application shell architecture. If you have a WordPress blog like mine, all you need to do is install this WordPress plugin, (make sure your website is https enabled already), then fill up the details in Settings > Super PWA, then Save Settings.

This plugin will magically generate your manifest.json.

Next step is, oh wait. There’s no next step. You’re already done! Just check your blog in your Android phone and you can easily add it to your homescreen.

That’s it. You now have a mobile app version of your WordPress blog. And yes, no need to pay anything to anyone. It’s free! Enjoy!
The post Convert your WordPress blog into a mobile app for free first appeared on Jehzlau Concepts.

Good thing we now have IOTAprices.com. This website is, so far, the most complete guide to buy and sell IOTA, where to store your IOTAs, how to create a local IOTA wallet, how to generate a seed using Keepass, how to collect additional entropy, and everything you need to know about IOTA. You can also check the live IOTA stats in real-time. Transactions per second, market cap, transf/h (I actually don’t have a clue what is this), iota/sec (and this one as well), and all other stats related to IOTA.

PS: Also check out these interesting article about IOTA and why it will disrupt the blockchain industry.

After Segwit2x was cancelled yesterday, people had been rushing to IOTA, Ethereum, Litecoin, and other coins. I received a lot of e-mails lately regarding where and how to buy IOTA using their US dollars and Philippine Pesos. For now, you cannot buy it directly using your fiat. You need to buy Bitcoin or Ethers first, send it to your BTC or ETH wallet on Bitfinex.com and place a buy order for MIOTA. IOTAs are being traded in MIOTAs, that’s why you’re seeing MIOTA in Bitfinex.

UPDATE: You can now buy MIOTAs at Binance. More exchanges coming soon.

To know more about IOTA, just google it. Look for “What is IOTA?”, “IOTA vs Bitcoin”, “IOTA vs Ethereum”, or any keyword combination you can think of. You can also search for “Tangle vs Blockchain” if you want to dig deeper and understand the underlying technology behind IOTA. Also look for IOTA + the Internet of Things (IoT) and machine-to-machine economy. You’ll read a lot of cool stuff.
The post Where to buy IOTA in the Philippines? first appeared on Jehzlau Concepts.

Currently driving. Will post more details later… (I can’t resist to make a blogpost while on the road, becuase I was surprised PHP reached top 5 by BTC volume, vs a few weeks ago when PHP didn’t even make it to the top 100).

TBU later…

UPDATE: After a few hours, 1B pesos worth of BTC was pulled out by one individual, resulting to a $100 BTC price drop and rank change of PHP currency in the BTC volume ranking from top 5 to top 6. Hong Kong Dollar now holds the top 5 spot.

If you’re using Coins.ph to convert your BTC to Philippine Pesos like me, then you won’t be able to use it anymore after the SegWit2x Hard Fork this November 17, 2017 or Block 494,784. For a more accurate countdown, check out http://bashco.github.io/2x_Countdown/.

Coins.ph supports SegWit2x, as well as other well-known wallets and exchanges like Coinbase, ShapeShift, Bitpay, Xapo, and Blockchain.info. To view the list of SegWit2x supporters, click here.

To make this plain and simple, your Bitcoins in the legacy chain (non-SegWit2x chain) will no longer be supported by Coins.ph, thus you cannot send your BTC to Coins.ph anymore and withdraw it to cash. If you have BTC in your Coins.ph wallet, it will be converted to B2X (The new Bitcoin) and they will call it BTC. So if you have a BTC in a wallet that is NO2X (supports the core, doesn’t support the hard fork), then you send your coins to your Coins.ph BTC wallet, you will not receive it, because it’s on a new blockchain. There are now two different worlds in Bitcoin. SegWit2x supporters doesn’t want to call the new Bitcoin as B2X or altcoin, they want it to become BTC. On the other hand, the Bitcoin Core team clearly stated that “This hard fork is not supported by the majority of the Bitcoin users and developers and is therefore a contentious hard fork. By adopting this hard fork, we believe the supporters of this agreement are shifting their users to an alternative currency (an altcoin) which is incompatible with Bitcoin. By storing BTC on these services, you could find that after the hard fork, your BTC has been renamed to something else or replaced entirely with the new altcoin. Some services may continue to present and name the altcoin created by this contentious hard fork as Bitcoin. Users should be aware that this new currency is not Bitcoin. Bitcoin can only be changed with the overwhelming consensus of the entire Bitcoin community of individuals, miners, developers and economy.” You can read the official announcement of Bitcoin.org here.

If you’re using any of the wallets listed in that post, better move it now, or regret later. You can also move your Bitcoins to Bitfinex as they will both support B2X (or the new and improved Bitcoin according to SegWit2x supporters) and the original BTC.

I don’t know what will happen this November. Bitcoin Core might lose its value and the Hard Forked Bitcoin with SegWit2x will be the new Bitcoin, or B2X will have no impact and will just be another altcoin, and Bitcoin Core will continue its journey. Nobody really knows what will happen exactly, but two well-known figures in the cryptocurrency space already placed their bets. This is like a real life conflict between two factions in Ingress: the Resistance and the Enlightened. RES = Charlie Lee while ENL = Roger Ver. Haha!

So if you have Bitcoins, you can still withdraw it at buybitcoin.ph, cex.io, or in any ATM with your cryptocurrency Visa or Mastercard. Provided by uQuid, Bitwala, Spectrocoin or other BTC debit cards out there, just Google them. You can also exchange your Bitcoins via LocalBitcoins.com or Paxful.com.

UPDATE 11/09/2017: Segwit2x cancelled. We can still withdraw our BTCs at Coins.ph. Hurray!

UPDATE 11/13/2017: Please don’t sign-up at uQuid if you’re looking for a crypto debit card. Their card services are down for 3 months now. Tsk tsk tsk…
The post Where to withdraw your Bitcoins in PH after the SegWit2x Hard Fork this November? first appeared on Jehzlau Concepts.

This is a quick guide for those who have no clue how to buy and sell Bitcoins, and trade it to other coins like Litecoin, Ethereum, Ripple XRP, Stellar, or other well-known crypto currencies out there, in Poloniex.com.

First of all, I will answer Jacq’s question on “How to send your Bitcoins from Poloniex.com to Coins.ph in order to withdraw it” in my previous post about Buying ethers in the Philippines. Once you’re logged in, just go to Balances > Deposits & Withdrawals.

Then go to your BTC wallet, and click withdraw (right beside deposit):

According to world renowned Scientists (Yeah. I made that up), those who bought crypto currencies are monitoring it since the day they bought it. And when the price drops while looking at the graph, they tend panic and sell their cryptos at loss. They are very scared, thinking that it will dip more. This idea came to my mind one day, to monitor prices in a different way. Instead of charts and graphs that goes up and down, why not make them run going forward, like they are racing endlessly to the moon. This will mentally set your mind that the price will increase someday, but it will take time. Getting to the moon from earth will definitely take time. Hahaha!

So I made a web app that actually entertains, so that you won’t be depressed anymore if the price drops while looking at those red candlesticks and logarithmic charts. Developed from scratch using the Cryptocompare API, you can see your favorite cryptos running towards the moon. Special thanks to my fellow Cryptonians for the suggestions in improving the app and make it more fun. As of now, I only included 11 cryptocurrencies: Ethereum, Bitcoin, Ethereum Classic, Litecoin, Doge, Dash, Zcash, IOTA, Ripple, Stellar, and Monero.

Check out the live cryptocurrency race here: https://www.cryptocurrency.ph/run/

Screenshot of cryptocurrency.ph/run

I’ll be adding more coins soon. Still thinking how to add it without congesting the runners in small screens. The app is not yet mobile optimized, so it will look cluttered in mobile screens (480px or lower). You can just rotate your screen to landscape (if you’re on mobile or on a tablet) to have a better view of the live cryptocurrency marathon! Enjoy!
The post Crypto Currency PHP Tracker + Live Race Viewer first appeared on Jehzlau Concepts.

I love Coins.ph, it’s convenient to buy mobile load, pay bills, and to send cash to anyone even without an ATM card or bank account. I recommended Coins.ph as a way <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow"href="https://www.jehzlau-concepts.com/2017/05/where-to-buy-ethers-in-the-philippines.html">to buy Ethers in the Philippines in my previous post. I even referred my friends to sign-up at Coins.ph to start investing and trading Bitcoins. But now, I don’t recommend them if you want to buy Bitcoins. Their price spread is way too large compared to other Bitcoin exchanges out there.

If you live in the Philippines, there are a lot of places to buy Bitcoins, but are too expensive (i.e. coins.ph, localbitcoins.com, etc). But there’s one place where you can buy BTC at a fair price, and guess what? It’s the first Bitcoin company established in the Philippines. It’s https://www.buybitcoin.ph/. Unlike Coins.ph where you have a Bitcoin wallet, Buybitcoin.ph is just a platform where you can buy Bitcoins, for a way cheaper price vs Coins.ph. You can just sign-up with Coins.ph if you don’t have a BTC wallet yet, then buy Bitcoins at Buybitcoin.ph (or other platforms except Coins.ph), because the price is fair and way cheaper.

Even CEX.io’s price is cheaper than Coins.ph. You’ll save around $300 if you buy from CEX.io, but you’ll save more than $500 USD if you buy from Buybitcoin.ph. What’s great about CEX is that you can buy BTC using your Credit Card. So if you don’t have cash yet and you want to buy Bitcoins, buy at CEX.

The price difference between Coins.ph and Buybitcoin.ph is around 27,000 pesos. That’s a $541 USD difference. Pretty insane right?

So before buying Bitcoins at Coins.ph, think again. You’ll save a lot when you don’t buy from them. You’ll be saving more than a month’s salary for a lot of Filipinos. And I hate to say this, but Coins.ph is ripping us off. I also made a post at CryptoCompare.com to warn other buyers about Coins.ph’s insane BTC buy price.

As of writing this post, the buy price at coins.ph is 144,574, and the sell price is 124,556. While on buybitcoin.ph, the buy price is 117,977.93, and the sell price is 113,420.26.

You can be an arbitrageur by buying BTC at buybitcoin.ph for 118,000 and sell them at coins.ph for a 124,500, that’s an instant P6500 profit! Hahaha!

I just can’t take it, their prices are way high and it’s not fair to those who have no clue where to buy BTC in PH other than coins.ph. Forgive me for the rant.

So remember, if you’re from the Philippines and you want to buy Bitcoins, STAY AWAY FROM COINS.PH. Their Bitcoin buy price is outrageous and out of this world! It’s clearly unfair and unreasonable. Buy from CEX.io or Buybitcoin.ph, or other platforms out there that you know.

UPDATE 06/04/2017: nTrust.com is now selling Bitcoins for a cheaper price. It’s worth checking out. Thanks to @csseyah for the heads up. Currently, Buybitcoin.ph’s price is more expensive than Coins.ph. So better stay away from that exchange. Always compare BTC buy price with other sellers before buying.

PS: This is not a paid post by either nTrust.com, CEX.io nor Buybitcoin.ph. This is just a tip where to buy BTC at a fair price. Don’t get ripped off by Coins.ph. They have a great + super secure platform, but their prices are way expensive. Waaaaaaaaayyyyy expensive.

And oh, if you’re looking for wedding planners, specifically if you’re searching for Wedding Planning Philippines, check out bgbridalgallery.com.ph. It’s an awesome all-in-one site for all your wedding needs.
The post Why you should NOT buy Bitcoins from Coins.ph first appeared on Jehzlau Concepts.
