Nowadays, we do live in the world where sincere thank yous are rare. Where sorries and apologies are extinct. Let alone, caring for the sake of the people we love. We tend to ignore good the feelings inside but more to the selfishness.

We don't care about what we do to the people who love us unconditionally, either friends or family members. We tend to pay attention more to the flaws and mistakes they do. Especially, we tend to pay more attention to how many followers and likes we have daily. Yet, we tend to ignore the real person in front of us, but more to the DM's and other personal chats.

I used to become the person who cares more about the people in my chats rather than my friend talking about his/her days in front of me. That's when I got my first blackberry. Until one of my very best friends hit me in the gut by telling me how rude I was not paying attention to what he just told me.

His statement hit me like Thor's hammer in my belly.

After that, I learned a lot about being present for most of my friends who need me, personally. Not me in the chat rooms or DMs or whatever online messages I have in the palm of my hand. I'm trying to be a good listener and said my piece of advice when needed, sometimes. Most importantly, I'm trying to be present for them.

It's not something easy to be done. Trust me. Especially when you're already so addicted and attached to your cell phone. But, there's always something about a time you spent with this person or group of people you can't definitely take back.

It's a memory with them.

Stupid jokes, pervert comments, laughter, crazy stunts and just doing what hanging out with friends supposed to be. Because you know what? Those memories won't come back! Exactly like time. It passes you by every time you blink your eyes.

Can't you imagine if that's the last time you're going to talk with them? As if they just evaporated from this world like dust. Will you regret it? Will you play all that 'if only' words in your head again and again?

I bet you would.

I'm saying this because I learned from my experience having lost some friends, I wish I could be better to treat them. To pay attention more to their own troubles or even just a need share some stupid jokes.

So, I wish you can be better than I am. I wish you can express more about how you feel or how you want other people to treat you back. Because those are the things that will shape your character and your future. When you can treat others the way you treat yourself then everything will become gold.

I'm sorry, please, forgive me. Thank you, I love you. These words are my magic mantra I keep telling myself daily. Whenever I feel down and I told some of you too. Practice makes perfect said the Wiseman. I hope one day you will understand whatever I'm saying in here.

Remember, you are SUPER in anyways.

I learned the hard way to understand boundaries and privacy. Wasn't sure actually it's going to be like this. But, I completely aware of the consequences yet, I'm still crossing the lines.

We finally had that big argument. Completely understand I'm in a very wronged position but I'm not going to defend myself. Instead, I apologized in so many ways to him.

Started out as a friend, I never think or even had the slightest idea we will get too close to each other. Yet, the normal way of getting close to someone is to know them better. Their behavior, their loved ones even their families. But, I guess with him was have to be in a different angle. I never realized it until it happened. Invading his privacy when he kept it very private. Sometimes, curiosity indeed like a ghost hunting in your dreams. It scared you shitless but you still curious enough to get to know more.

Being mysterious was his agenda. While I'm the one who always has the whispering ghost.

I completely don't know anymore how to explain it to you about my action. Because never in my attempt was to wreck your relationship or our friendship from the very beginning. I love you in ways only you would understand, that's why I'm not going to do harm or whatsoever. But, I did what I'm not supposed to even when he already said it and I already promised him.

This is a very tiring week for me since I don't have any more energy to apologized to you. I tried anything more than I'm supposed to, but you're not that easy to forgive what I did. Even though I know you're acting like this to punish my action.

I guess I let the time to heal you. Until then, hopefully.

THE UMBRELLA ISLAND

This definitely not my first time to be here. But, this time is special because of the company who come with me.

THE DOC

This is the welcome scene when you arrived at the island. Not so busy island when we arrived here because we choose to come on a weekday. We do purposely choose the date because we want to feel the island to ourselves. It gets busier at the weekend.

THE LAGOON

This is the special scenery is the icon of this island. Because of this lagoon is very serene and just a place to take good picture. The clear water and the quiet surrounding really make us feel in solitude.

THE BOAT MAN

We are a bit lucky because we can catct a gorgeous sunset too during our visit.

To get there, you can start early in the morning, at the Kali Adem Port. It's where most of the ship going to the thousand islands. Usually, lots of the agents of the trips will arrange for you. Since I'm going with our own, we deal with the island man directly.

Feel free to try jumping to this island. It's definitely not a crowded one, but it's more a small island to do reflection and just enjoy hanging out with some friends. The signal also not really good inside the house. Oh btw, we sleep in the homestay provided on the island. So, you don't need to worry about sleep and they already have the air-conditioned house too.

This definitely one of the biggest fish we ever ate. They provided the barbeque base on our choice of fish. Then they will serve it a little bit after dinner.

Karena angkasa luas menjadi saksi bisu diantara kita. Dihadapkan pada kenyataan yang haus; aku pun bertekuk lutut dihadapanmu. Tanpa berpikir dan menolak aku mencair dalam manismu. Aku mengira awalnya hanyalah jemu yang tertunda, namun yang terjadi ternyata berbeda.

Ku coba memeluk resahmu dalam hangat selimut senja. Ku coba curi kecup mu dalam sebuah jeda percakapan antah berantah. Ku coba pertanyakan hati yang meradang jawaban. Namun, tak kunjung tiba.

Aku terdiam dalam ruang hampa tanpa kasih.

Berusaha untuk tetap berpura tidak merasakan kekosongan tersebut. Karena aku masih melihat sinar dimatamu dan merdu suara tawamu termasuk jemari hangat yang tergenggam.

Apakah ada artinya semua ini bagimu? Atau hanya sebuah kenyataan dalam mimpi yang sebentar lagi akan lenyap bersama waktu?

Lalu, bagaimana dengan kisah kita? Mungkinkah ceritanya akan berubah atau akan tetap seperti ini hingga saatnya nanti?

Mampukah kau memberikan sedikit saja kepastian akan kehangatan senyum tersungging di setiap pertemuan kita?

I wasn't blind to understand the feelings and the gesture of everything gradually happened between us. Even I keep telling myself not to take it seriously. But, it's hard. I'm just a woman who loves the attention and the pervert jokes too.

Never crossed my mind before even to actually let everything flow like this. But, as the time goes by the feelings arise. I don't want to lie to myself. I do care for you and for whatever exists between us.

Always love the road trip with you, as fun as it supposed to be. But, last Sunday was one of the best thrilling episodes for me. I thought such an experience would ever have happened again with me. Hence, you make it worth.

For me, it's something special, indeed. Something I can remember of your existence in my life.

You came out of the blue with such a persona, once you told me that you're being ignored. Still, you've made it through as a special person in my life.

Just like a petal flower or the chocolate candies home from the story of Hansel and Gretel, you lure me into your life, slowly. Was I unprepared? I don't think so. I can see it in my mind soon or later something might happen to us. I just hoping you would brave enough to seize it.

I'm confused and feel awkward, I don't know what to do or say to you. Why change? What did I do wrong if everything being done?

Hoping you would not be the same as any other guy who passed through my life. Because you're worth more than just becoming them. I can't operate as I'm supposed to as I write this, my mind goes blank and try to calm myself down. I don't want to lose you as a dear friend of mine. That's all I'm hoping.

Nasi Pecel

What if I tell you there's actually an alternative place for you to eat something healthy? Like vegetables and stuff? But, the clue to this place is a bit challenging. Why? Because it's a bit far from Jakarta.

But to my defense, if you're actually a food lover especially like to try the new culinary place, you come to the right place. This only open on weekend means Saturday and Sunday only from early morning.

The Souvenirs Shop

The name Mirama came from this souveniers shop. There is some food stall actually collaborate in front of the lobby of this shop. You can taste the original Indonesian food while you shop for more Indonesian snacks inside the store.

If you're the type of person who loves snacking and hand carries something for your friends and loved ones, this definitely the place for you.

You can't miss the exterior and interior for this place. The surroundings are full of carves and wooden statues, even to the decoration of the food stall. Definitely, something to show it off this is Indonesian souvenirs store like.

The Pecel Madiun Stall

Now, how can you resist this temptation?

Pecel is one of the traditional Indonesian food. This comes from Madiun, East Java. The usual ingredients are from vegetables, such as bean sprout, cucumber, fried red onion and the crunchy thing with nuts is Rempeyek. This is just a good addition to eat with this food.

The nuts sauce also a bit spicy, but it makes you want to try more with another side dishes of your own choices.

HUNTING GAME POSTER

It was just one out of the blue planning I hear in my thoughts and I try to let it become reality with some help from my friends. I was having with the analog camera for the past year seems like most of the people out there also excited with the old but new sensation.

There are some new kids that actually pretty new with this old technology, so I went to make some pooling over Instagram stories, and the result was amazing.

Then I started to plan the game. Basically, it was like treasure hunt game. Where people look for something was the end game. But, I make it like a clue to be able to meet at the meeting point.

Oh btw, we played at one of the central parks we have in Jakarta, it was at the Monument National park. Where people can actually find some historical stories around the park since there are some statues of national heroes in the area.

Aku percaya – tidak ada yang kebetulan di dunia ini.

Termasuk mengenal sosokmu. Tidak pernah menyangka juga akan sedekat dan seintim kita. Semua terjadi karena kebetulan. Tidak pernah menyangka bahwa reaksimu akan seperti itu.

Senang sekaligus mengejutkan dan membekas.

Tapi, setelah semuanya berlalu kemudian dirimu menjauh. Terasa dekat tapi jauh, selayaknya bermain dalam sebuah lingkaran dimana aku hanya bisa melihat dan mendengarmu tanpa bisa mendekatimu lagi.

Mengapa?

Banyak pertanyaan terlontar dikepala. Banyak hal yang ingin ditanyakan. Apa yang menjadi kesalahan aku bersikap dan berucap? Jika memang dibilang aku bersikap aneh seperti yang dituduhkan tanpa penjelasan. Aku tidak terima mentah-mentah.

Aku masih ingat ketika kita duduk dan kamu begitu larut untuk datang. Maaf terucap dan muka lelah tersirat tapi walaupun aku merajuk, dirimu tetap saja menanggapi. Malam itu kita berjanji bahwa apapun yang terjadi tidak akan membuat sikap kita menjadi aneh satu sama lain. Namun, sepertinya kamu lupa. Sikap yang kau perlihatkan tidak seperti yang sudah kita janjikan.

Mengapa?

Aku sudah berusaha sekali untuk bersikap biasa setiap kali kita bertemu di sebuah tempat yang ramai. Mengapa kamu tidak bisa bersikap biasa, menurutku loh yah?

Sebagai orang Jakarta, lahir dan besar di Ibukota negara ini. Saya benar-benar melihat kemajuan dalam dua tahun terakhir ini. Mulai dari pembangunan sampai perbaikan transportasi.

Terutama dalam transportasi jalan darat yang sudah dimulai sejak beberapa tahun kita mengenal namanya Busway atau TransJakarta. Perkembangan yang sangat berguna bagi semua pekerja yang memang kesehariannya menggunakan bis atau kereta. Dengan adanya sistem yang lebih memadai dan armada yang cukup banyak untuk mengakomodir pemakai jasanya, TransJakarta pun memakai hashtag #KiniLebihBaik.

TIKET GRATIS DAN RUANG KEMUDI

Saya sebagai salah satu yang sangat terbantu dengan segala kenyamanan yang diberikan, mulai dari AC dan juga petugas yang tetap menjaga didalam ketika bis sudah cukup penuh atau dengan adanya bis khusus perempuan serta pembagian gerbong khusus di bis dengan dua gerbong. Membuat kami sebagai penggunanya merasa diperhatikan.

SUASANA DUDUK YANG SANGAT NYAMAN

PINTU KELUAR DITENGAH

Selain berhenti disetiap halte yang disediakan, didalam bis pun terdapat bell yang dapat dipencet untuk memberitahukan sopir bahwa ada yang berhenti di halte berikutnya. Walaupun asisten supir pun selalu berteriak untuk memberitahukan pemberhentian yang akan dituju.

Setiap kali ada penumpang yang baru masuk, akan diberikan karcis GRATIS menandakan bahwa pelayanan ini memang tidak perlu membayar. Demikian juga dengan aturan naik dari pintu depan dan keluar dari pintu tengah. Sehingga orang yang keluar masuk tidak bertabrakan untuk masuk dan keluar selayaknya di armada yang lain.

Dengan jam operasional mulai dari pagi 05:00 - 22:00 WIB maka setidaknya para pekerja atau pengguna layanan tidak takut untuk tertinggal setelah pulang bekerja.

Saya pribadi sangat menikmati sekali perjalanan ini. Melihat berbagai kegiatan dan wajah manusia saat pagi dan jelang pulang kantor. Banyak sekali dari mereka yang menunduk pada layar ponsel.

Sedangkan saya lebih banyak menikmati Jakarta dengan kilau lampunya diluar jendela atau menikmati cahaya matahari pas di 'golden hour' bagi para pecinta fotografi ini adalah sebuah momen yang ditunggu sekali.

Dengan beberapa tagline yang sering dibaca dan dilihat di luar bis, maka saya kembali mengajak teman sekalian untuk AYO, NAIK BIS! Serius deh. Bis yang baru ini canggih dan beda banget dari yang sebelumnya. Tidak begitu berdesakan karena bis ini ada setiap 30 menit sekali. Jadi tidak begitu berdesakan seperti pemikiran kalian yang trauma naik bis.

Let today be the day of memory of us. The day where we revealing who ourselves. Where we bare each other souls. Thank you to finally trust me to be the one bearing the secret life of the other you. For a while, I was wondering about you. Not because the closer we get the stronger the feelings. But, for the existence of yourself in my life. I believe people come into our life with purpose. Some are good, some to give us a lesson and some to stay until the end of time. Will you stay? I don't know.

I have a lot of trauma letting people in into my life. Especially those who I let them in deeply. Mostly after a while, they will just disappear like smokes. Totally out of sight and out of life, can't even be contacted anymore. Then, I will blame myself because of the situation. I know it's not even my fault, but something always makes me feel insecure regarding having someone I call a dear friend, a best friend or even someone special. If you asked me why? I don't know. I'm still looking for the answers too.

Maybe too much of disappointments in life, also some bad experiences. I don't know. Completely, understand this kind of feeling is not good for me. But, sometimes I just can't help it to feel that way. It's not like I already have some kind of premonitions about the situation, but most things happened as I predicted.

I told you once and keep telling the side of me where I envy the people around you. I know it sounds like a nonsense babbling, but it's true. I don't think I ever have someone as intense as I'm chatting with you.

The insecurities go with the questions, you never want to answer. I keep asking why you stayed to chat with me every single day. Yet you keep answering I'm repeating the questions, again. There are times when we have our own moment to breathe. You're with your days and me with mine. But, nothing that I do when I'm not thinking about you, even you came into my dream. One that I wonder, again.

This is something I want to tell you for a while, a simple Thank YOU. But somehow I feel I don't have enough words or the right moment, until today. Hopefully, with this post, you understand how important you are already for me. There's something between us which better not being said, but more to feel inside. I know you understand what I'm saying, yet we both keep denying what the feeling was. I guess its better stay that way, I let you be the brother, a best friend and a so-called-online-lover, I never had.

There are times when you make me feel special, there are times you also being a young guy at your age. You keep telling me that you're some kind of ignorant person, but you're not. The evil inside you makes the cover real good like a page of a grand magazine. To me, you're charming, sweet, kind and honest. The kind of things that your other character won't let you be. You have to stay like he wants you to be. As evil as you can be.

I'm just glad, you finally confide in me. Again, thank you.

Wishing you dearly to have an amazing life ahead, the kind of life that you keep dreaming about with that Angel of yours. I wish you both to stay together until then, to have each other back. THE SECOND MONTH

It's definitely not easy to write again. I can't even write any highlight of my 2017. While there are lots of things went by through the year.

I even let January went by that easily without a single word here.

Hopefully, this time will be easier for me to write things down. Been managing pictures for a while, also planning to print a photobook too. I don't even know if I can manage to have the deadline very soon.

Let's just hope there will be some time to arrange and design the book.

It's been a while since last I wrote something in here. I'm lost for words. I feel numb all over. The depression taking over my conscience.

But, you came along out of nowhere.

I still remember that first warm hugs that night. It makes me feel like I belong in the realm of your arm curves. Even if it's just a warm introducing hugs, it touched me deeper.

Never realize the meeting will turn out to be an unplanned date. The kiss goodnight so tenders shivering the back of my bones.

THE WATER PALACE - TAMAN SARI, JOGJAKARTA

Coming back to this town with fresh new friends was so much different. The longing feeling just to feel the vibe of this place. Mesmerizing memories and just sit there to think, contemplate and thankful.

It's been quite a while since last I went to this city. Maybe around 6-8 years ago, some friends really do asked me to come and visit. Sometimes with a lot reason the trip just never happened.

Until last Monday.

The unexpected trip which I eagerly to say yes to.

We went to this place at the last minute before they closed of. Just happened to meet an old man as a guide. Even for so many times going to this place there's always some part of this place we don't know. He told us about the history of each used to be room. Why the all the entrances are made with shallow head? Do you know the story about this?

HELLO, JOGJAKARTA

Damn period!

That's the first reaction when I finally said yes to the invitation to one-day getaway. Because having the first day or two was the most uncomfortable one. Let alone need to travel. Anyway, I never actually traveling in such a rush. But this time I really need the quick trip away from this crazy town. I've been wanting to go to Jogja for a while. Can't seem to find the perfect time or just the money to go. When the time is right, the money not cooperating. When there's money, the timing was never right. That's why since this trip being paid for - I just said YES to the last minute.

I miss being in Jogja and hanging out with my dear friends who live there. Since the time constraint, I'm happy yet a bit sad won't be able to meet them. I went during weekdays they're all working. I have to accept the facts.

Anyway, I went with four gentlemen. They're celebrating their work progress by going on a one-day trip. I was just the last-minute invitee.

I'm just happy to be able to take some of their pictures. Pretending to become a so-called-photographer, the least I can do to actually paid my free trip was with taking them nice pics.

These pictures of them were at the Taman Sari - a place for the mistresses of Sultan and the children, back in those days. This place open from morning until 5PM in the afternoon. My suggestion go there when the lights still up, so you will be able to take some good shoot. Still, if it's too bright there will be a chance for you to get lots of backlight too. That's happened when I was there. It was just too hot for a day in Jogja.

The least to say other than the hot weather, the ticket for the domestic is quite cheap, less than USD 1. I'm sorry didn't get a chance to ask and realize asking for the foreigner price.

PUTHUK SETUMBU

We woke up really early for the sunrise and the hike to this place. It's a bit far from Jogja about 2 hours drive alone. Depends on your driver though. The place still in ongoing construction from the road to the homestays.

There was also a ticket price to go in. Just prepare some cash when you're planning to come to this place.

A small hill for 15 minutes hikes just to see the sunrise on Borobudur Temple from the other side.

First Light at Puthuk Sethumbu

Maybe it's only a one-day trip but to be able to have additional new friends and come back to Jogja after all these years just one hell of a nice trip for me. Finished the roll in my camera too and reload a new film of black and white. I cannot wait for the result.

Bali and it's never ending surprises! This will be my first time this year to be on this island again. Will be going again soon to meet up with some friends from far away land.

I don't really have much to say about this island. You definitely can find lots of things around the net about this island and how gorgeous it this the view. You can definitely see the most beautiful sunsets and sunrises, the amazing view of the cliffs and beaches. Lots of temples for sure and beautiful gates too!

I am indeed lucky to be living in this country with lots of amazing view of islands.

One thing for sure every time I went to this place always to hang out with some friends, find a new spot to take some pictures. Meeting old friends for some reunion over coffee with a view. Things we don't get to see while in Jakarta.

I always dream to be on this island for a long time. Back in 2015 I already booked a ticket to go by myself. Crazy things happened one the mountain blew and made all the flight canceled that day.

Chances are just beginning of this month, I met this fellow trip of mine and encourage me to go with them. I didn't think twice and directly say YES to them. They helped me booked the promo ticket too.

Hello, Lombok!

So, then here we go!

We were going from Bali to Lombok with a promo ticket. Since it's still Ramadan season, some of the tickets are being on a sale. The flight was only like 15 mins from Ngurah Rai International Airport - Bali.

This view was when the captain said we will be landed shortly. My excitement soars like a kid getting a new toy! I've been looking for this trip so bad. Stepping into this island will cross one more bucket list in my life.

For me, it’s never easy to talk about myself. I don’t know why. I found it very weird. But, when you want to know about me I can quickly answer everything. So, just don’t! *biggrin* It still feel surreal that I finally leaving my 30’s – this is ever weirder because I feel like I haven’t achieved anything for the last decade. I can’t even say anything I can be proud about. Still, I really thankful for everything happened. Especially those things that make a positive impact on experiences in life.

On the religious side, I will always be grateful to God. No matter what the situation, He will always be my anchor to hold on to. Therefore, I am indeed blessed to be able to reach another age in this millennial year. When empathy is written on the social media, rather than being said directly. Where people more mobile than once before in the last 20 years. Where news travels faster than a lightning bolt, sure you experience this, also when hoax spreading more effective like incurable diseases throughout the whole nation.

A dear friend of mine once told me about being at 40. She was indeed glowing when she told me about her stories. I mesmerized by how she can tell me how fun yet challenging at the same time. The difference with my situation only the marriage part.

I am single, happy and ready to mingle

Friends have been wondering and family member doesn't even ask me again about this status. I'm sure I have lots of them curious, but I am sure also the time is not right for me to distract myself from this kind of situation. I believe being in a relationship takes more of your time and attention, while my parent still needs more attention at the moment (yes, I still lived with them until this very moment)

Sometimes it's kinda scary to think about how time flies really fast. I still have a lot to achieve, dreams to fulfilled which I don't even know where to start.

So, thank you for all of you who remember my birthday - which I never put a reminder in any social media I have. Thank you for all the prayers and wishes, I am glad I have you to share my day with. Never been party goers or going out to celebrate, I'm more a laid back person to spend my day contemplating about my life.

THE HOPE

For the past weeks, I've been struggling with life issues. Therefore, I have been writing anything yet. Also, I feel my mood also going away. Been trying hard to sit in front of the computer and learn to write anything, didn't work.

So, as usual, I'm just going to watch my favorite TV serials online or anything on youtube, to get my mojo back. Still not working very much. But, today, I feel like I need to write something. Even though this one is a bit personal, but at least I write something in here.

I've been reading a lot of positive article about the power of positive thinking and change the bad feeling into positive energy, try to learn 5 mins meditation daily too. Somehow this one works a bit with me. I feel calmer in facing the issues I mentioned. I learned to channel my grumpy energy to something more positive, or at least I try to realized when I feel sorry, I need to direct the bad thing into something else more positive. It's not easy, never been easy to try something new with yourself. But hey, everything should start somewhere.

That's when I come to realize the word HOPE. The name exists at the last Pandora Box after everything evil were out if you know the story of it. So, I search thing that can give me more support for myself. Being myself and feel the love again. Some said, if you want someone to like you, one need to learn how to love themselves first. To me, this is the hardest part.

Argue with mom, slashing her with my rash comments or high pitched tone were one of the things happening. Again, every time it happens always leave me with a dent in my heart. I know I hurt someone I love deeply, but I can't seem to bring the words sorry to her because I didn't build that way.

Then hope also given by my dear friend Reza, he is my savior for the issues for the time being until I can repay him. I don't know how in the next future, but as for now I pray and hope for all his works and projects runs smoothly.

If you always think that you experience the worst day, NO. You need to stop thinking like that. You need to change it. Nothing good comes easy, they said. Therefore, this action also not easy to apply on yourself, because the hardest thing you can try to conquer is yourself.

Try to find your core when you're down, in any way you can. Some seek for God, some in the party, some in the solitude maybe you just haven't found your way yet. Never give up on yourself, that's what I want to tell you. Because once you give up, nothing will ever show.

Stand up and never give up no matter how hopeless you feel with your situation. Believe, there will always be a way up when you try to channel your energy to love yourself MORE than you usually do.

I am thankful to have such incredible people in my life, who has the same hobby with me. Some of them like to eat and take pictures.

This week, I have an experience with some friends to eat out at Gerobak Betawi - Sunter in North Jakarta. It's the newest outlet they have, among the other 2 places. Since this one is closer to my house, therefore I choose this one.

The Interior at the Veranda

The place is very comfortable and the interior very comfortable look. They have two areas for smokers at the verandah, and the other one is air conditioned. Being here with friends was like you're inviting them to your home, not a restaurant, because of the interior.

The high ceilings give some rooms for the wind, and even though Jakarta is a little bit hot, they put an electric fan up above to cool us.

At least that's what I feel since I'm not really a big fan of an air-conditioned room. But, for those who cannot stand being outside because of the humidity a little bit high, you're more than welcome to eat inside.

The inside interior is even cooler than the outside.

I arrived earlier than the rest of my friends, of course. So, I asked for the menu. Since it's a bit hot and a little bit lost when I get here, I need a drink. Something with ice and not too sweet. Then I suddenly I really want to drink 'cendol' a perfect drink for me as a welcome drink, I might say.

What is cendol? It's a dark-green pulpy dish of rice or sago flour worms with coconut milk and syrup of areca sugar, and this one they add cubic cutting of jackfruit.

It's very refreshing to be able to drink this in the middle of the day and just pretend this is the appetizer before the big meal is served.

I also order this teapot of tea, because at this kind of restaurant they served the best tea in the house. It smells good, bitter and they use the 'stone sugar' not the regular one you use to have, using paper wraps or even melted sugar.

I also love all the menu, you cannot stop to try everything on the menu. Perfectly cooked! Especially the 'nasi kucing' it's a small size of rice with some spicy chicken or fish with some spices. It's sooo good! If you happen to be around the area, please stop by to come and try to eat here. They open until midnight daily.

As for Friday evening, don't come around 9-10 PM without booking the place. Why? Because the place usually will have a long waiting list.

Worry about how much you're gonna pay for all these delicious meal and drinks? Don't worry, everything various from IDR 30-40K for drinks and IDR 50-75K for the meal. Not bad right? Will be less than USD 10 for the drinks and meal!

For the past few weeks, I've been going back and forth to this place, more often. Until people and friends start asking if I just open a new business site or I work here. The answer to both of the questions I'll just drink to your wishes! #cheers

Let me tell you a story about this place. For me, this was not just a hangout place. But it's more like a 'second home' for a long while. A place where you can meet strangers and become someone important. A place where you can just sit and laughed and cry with someone you just meet. Also, a place where you can bring along long lost friends even dates to have a great time.

The place was small yet has a very rustic and old look, yet very warm and homey.

THE BAR

Nineteen years ago, Om Ivan (the retired bartender) had a plan with his bartender friends, to open a hangout place for themselves. From nine persons until only three left, holding the court at the old place in Jalan Jaksa by the name of BFC (Bartender Fans Club). When I was still in College, friends happened to bring me along here. Then, a few years later the three musketeers have another plan, which is going separated way.

Some said the place change name and move to another one. But, nobody seems to know where. Until I finally get introduce to Melly's Garden at Jalan Wahid Hasyim Raya. Speaking of which, they're one of the three musketeers that change course to another and use Bunbun Melly's name as the signature place. Sometimes people have mistaken the owner's name with one of the Indonesia famous singer band. You know who, don't you? *big grin*

THE OTHER CORNER

These pictures bring back all the memories, don't you think? I asked specifically for these photos to be posted in here. Because seeing these really take me back to that 'love corner.' The corner that has so many games and books if you're actually waiting for your friends to come. If you're too late, the all the games has been taken by others.

After five years, in this IBEC building, they were told to moved. Because the land actually being bought by some developer. I was afraid if they are going to get a new faraway place. Not that I won't go, I will; but won't be as often as I wanted to.

Don't you miss hanging out again to Melly's? Have you been to the new place? You'll be glad and surprise how the area is changed since last you were there.

THE FIRST SNOW - WINTER IN KOREA

It's all started because of my friend Rani who just got back from traveling around the world opening an open trip to travel with her. The first time she posted it on her Facebook. I can't let go of my excitement to go. Then it grew stronger when finally she asked me for real to join the trip.

So, I did.

Everyone can dream about anything. I'm sure you have one in mind too when you read my first sentence there. I fulfilled some but this one just recently added to the crossed bucket lists.

Started this year with a dream trip. After more than 10 years haven't been outside this country, suddenly I dare myself again to go.

So, here we go. I feel so excited yet afraid of things that will surprise me along the way. Because this is not only one step away to a dream but also a plan for something else. Future.

I'm sure you have lots of information on the web on how to do the visa, itinerary etc in this blog you're not going to find that detail information. Sorry! I'm just going to tell you how to have a great trip with some people and have a great time.

One thing for sure it's your traveling group or buddy can cooperate and easy to work with. Especially if you do a backpacking. you definitely can't go with those spoiled brats you whine all the way no matter what the situation. This a big NO! Because you will be stressed along the trip and it's not gonna be fun and excited anymore.

It's better before you travel with some group or few friends, you let them know the condition or the trip. Like they will have to stay in the shared room because it's going to be cheaper. Tell them the reason too. We will be going on the public bus or train, because it's easier, closer to the places you want to visit or even just to let them experience with the local. Let them know every detail about being on the trip with you. If they think all the reasoning make sense, I'm sure there won't be any complaint during the trip. You can always hope for the best, right?

BIG WINDOW

I know, I owe myself catching up some stories. Lots of stories to tell during the end of 2016. Yet, I can't seem to find myself writing anything in this blog. Now, I guess, as one of the resolution, I need to try, at least write something once a month, hopefully, this is not just a wishful thinking, again.

Promise to write all the late traveling thing in here, by giving you this short trip to Bandung, as a start. My best girlfriend needs to go for the weekend away because there will be a seminar for her thesis requirement, while I need a new place to get some pictures, from my Instagram collection. It's been ages since the last time I went on a road trip, so I'm excited to finally can leave Jakarta, even only for a weekend.

My friend chooses De'Halimun Guest House because it's closer to her seminar place. As for me, as long as they have free wifi, I'm taken care off #biggrin

We arrived a bit early in the morning, we thought we cannot check-in before noon, yet the nice lady at the receptionist is very accommodating, and we can check in, right away.

Just when I entered the room, I was so surprised, it's spacious and has this big window! I've been looking for in the old houses, back in the days. I'm just so happy to see this. Means, the process of taking pics will soon be arranged.

The room smell like a damp room, I guess, it's been a while since they open to room door or might as well the windows. Therefore, I opened the window, and look how gorgeous it is, actually!

I just laying down and just relaxing for sometimes, waiting for the other friend to hang out, while the other one already left for a seminar.

There is a leather sofa bench by the south corner of the room, and it's a bit spacious because the plan was to share the room with 3 of us until the other friend actually brings a husband-on-the-way. Should just tell us in advance so we can arrange another room for us. Anyway....

GARDEN CAFE

As the time flies, I was a bit hungry, but not really want to eat a heavy meal. I remember we can order something from the cafe. So, I get out from the room and see this beautiful settlement. All, empty chairs and tables, in white. For sure I took my phone camera and took this shot. It's just soo nice and comforting to see this. Don't you think it's a comfy place to chat over coffee and snacks?

I sit for hours and ordering some snacks and drinks here while waiting for the other friend to picked me up.

SAUSAGES AND FRIES

This snacks just my ultimate order in any restaurant or cafe that I don't really know yet how good the taste. So, this simple snacks always be my favorite. Because everybody will like to eat fries, and also for sure as long as they're not vegetarian, definitely goes by sausages.

It's only around IDR 25K for one serving. Quite affordable yet not too expensive even if you want to add another round, because still busy gossiping. Hehehe...

They have a quite various heavy meal, snacks, and drinks too. From Nasi goreng to Bandrek (local drink with gingery taste). The drink to warm your heart if it's cold #eaaakk

It's been drizzling since 3 PM, and it's getting colder, I wonder what will happen if it's getting hard during the night, I'm sure it will be freezing!
