i'm so sleepy. i had a good trip. there were some tiffs in the group, but overall it was fun times cuz this time, everything got worked out! it was good partying times at tao, blush, and xs. jojo fell in the pool, but too bad i didn't see it. spent only about $250, which was not bad at all for drinking lots over 4days/3nights.

i didn't get into too much trouble this time around, which was good.

i learned the hard way to not drink 2 5-hour energies in a row, esp if i've had diet coke the meal before. especially when you expect to get drunk, but then plans fell through and you end up mostly sober all night, but with crazy palpitations.

burgers vs. sandwiches

a burger is a sandwich. a sandwich may not be a burger. in essence, burgers are a subset of sandwiches.
a burger requires a PATTY, be it beef, turkey or veggie mush. but it is still a sandwich. ideally the ingredients are ground together and held together by its own consistency. therefore, breaded and fried patties are not really burgers, i.e. chicken and fish sandwiches.

i take back what i said about FO's burger being more like a gourmet beef sandwich. it is a burger for sure. just not anything like the classic american burger.

i'm running on 5 hours of sleep a night for the past week and a half. i'm exhausted.

food diary

yesterday, in addition to the pho and cheese, i had 1/2 a sausage-pineapple-jalapeno pizza for lunch, then arby's super roast beef sandwich + 2 mini eggrolls + 3/8 of the pizza for dinner, then went to rehearsal, then had a beer + 3 shots of vodka around midnight, then had the leftover slice of pizza.

now it's morning. i started my morning with some green tea, but around 9:07 my stomach was hurting for some food. so i'm having an instant pho bowl right now.

i really shouldn't have ate all the jalapenos on that pizza. ugh. today i'm totally making my own lunch to save a few bucks. i totally splurged yesterday on my foods. kind of.

i guess i'll write it here.

this morning i woke up and i was actually not hungry (this is very rare.) i woke up at 6am. by the time i got to work, it as 8:10 and then i made a bowl of instant pho. i had a cup of light tea around 10 and i noticed my hands shook when i was holding the cup. i don't think it was the caffeine though. i had a piece of laughing cow cheese to help a little. now it is 11:51 and i'm so hungry it hurts. i will probably make potstickers when i get home.

1:10 now, and i'm literally shaking cuz i'm so hungry. i'm going to head home now so i can shower/make potstickers.

2:45 i finished 30 potstickers. that's like 3 servings. i'm pretty full. i really want a cigarette, but i'm going to make some hot tea instead.

alright, so here is me this morning after my jog, i know not much difference than the last one. but one week ago i was 125lb and now i'm 122lb. AND i've been jogging every morning since last wednesday (even though i'm taking a break on thanksgiving day).

actually i stayed at 125lb for a few days until monday. i was frustrated cuz i was seeing no results on the scale, then i decided to track my calories and then cut my calories a lot. yesterday i dropped to 123, and this morning i'm 122. yay!!! i know i know, water weight, blah blah blah. it works though! and i'm not really that hungry cuz i just eat a lot of healthy foods with a treat here and there. i'm putting my fitday back up so that i have to be held accountable for my food-actions.

i'm going up north for a few days. i'm not sure how this will work out because my mother will be cooking and i don't wanna be eating too much. i'm worried.

why i'm not voting

ok, before you start to flame me for my ignorance, blah blah blah, understand that in this great country of ours, we have the freedom to not vote too. so by antagonizing me about not voting, you're antagonizing my freedom, which is one of the things you're voting for in the first place.

but seriously. my mother won't let me change my address to los angeles even though i live here, for the purpose of car insurance rates. but then today, my friend brought up the point that i could have mailed my vote in.

well... i guess i don't feel qualified. i have not tuned in to watch the debates or hear the issues. i really don't know the different sides. and even if someone say they'll do something, would they really do it? people are so liberal here, and just yelling "OBAMA" this and "OBAMA" that. but have they all really sat down and researched both sides with an open mind? i'm sure a lot did, but i'm also sure that a lot didn't. if we're voting for one side just because your peers are saying it's the "right" thing to do without truly understanding what you're voting for, isn't that just bastardizing democracy?

all i know is sarah palin is an airheaded MILF, bush is an idiot (and i'm glad he can't be prez again), and obama's steadfastness is pretty outstanding. it's time for a change, but the traditional idealistic principles of the republican party appeals to me more than the democrats. so, i don't know. i mean i DO know what i'd vote for if it was JUST THERE for me, but the benefits of voting just does not outweigh the trouble i'd have to go through to get myself informed, register to vote up north, then have my mother send me my stuff, then send it back in, and so on. but the big thing is really understanding things. if you don't vote intelligently, you might as well don't vote at all, right?

i know i should have been more concerned enough to try to educate myself on the issues. but given the results of the past elections, i already know that democrats will take california. and in the presidential, it's the electoral that counts, not the popular. so stuff like what happened with bush/gore could just happen again and all you fine folks in california that DO vote today will take care of my apathy. thanks!

burger stop #2: South on Wilshire

http://www.southsantamonica.com/

it looks very nice inside, upscale enough but not to the point where it would intimidate me. a good amount of people for a tuesday night. we sat ourselves outside so we don't have to listen to the bingo loudness inside (i wanted to play, but decided to just enjoy the food and the company).

ordered burger, medium, with all the fixins. peet has a way of making fun of me so that i dont' feel all offended. the burger was a good size and barbeque-y.

things i liked about it:
great burger/bun size ratio. the burger meat fit the bun just right and is flat so that it's easy to eat.
the meat was thick and filling
the overall flavoring of the bbq sauce worked for the buger

things that could have been better:
the meat was less juicy than i would have like.
the meat wasn't really seasoned at all. just decent slab of meat
not enough cheese for the size of the burger

when will i learn to start ordering my burgers medium rare instead of medium???
