June - Train in Bay Area
Early July - Train with Olympic Select/Olympic Team (If he signs a contract by the start date)
August - Summer Nike Tour of China and Taiwan
Sept - Back in Bay Area
Oct - Start of NBA training camp

My guess is he'll also probably train a bit in Vegas at Impact, and play pick up in L.A. and at Charity events like last year.

Also, I found the interview with Jeremy talking about winning a Gold Medal back in 2010 before he even played a game in the NBA: Jeremy Lin #17: Gold Medal for USA?

Sweet Nike Jacket, I bet they'd sell a ton of these: Exclusive // Jeremy Lin's 1-of-1 "Year of the Dragon" Nike Destroyer Jacket | Sole Collector

Jeremy Lin vs. Goran Dragic - Knicks Blog - ESPN New York

Here are some additional items to look at:

Age: Jeremy is 2+ years younger

23 vs 26

Goran's played 4 years already, Jeremy has just gotten his first taste of actual playing time. JLin has way more upside!

Size:

JLin 6'4" 205
Goran 6'3" 190

Jeremy seems to be at least an inch taller and 15lbs heavier if not more.

Per 36 minute stats (very useful if player didn't start all games):

All of Jeremy's stats are clearly better than Goran's except for TO's, here are a few for 2011-12:

PPG 19.6 to 15.9
APG 8.3 to 7.2
FTMPG 5.6 to 2.3
PER 19.9 to 18.0
TO's 4.8 to 3.2

Defensive stats:
SPG 2.1 to 1.7
BPG .3 to .2

Jeremy was just slightly below Goran in shooting percentages across the board:

FG% .446 to .462
3P% .32 to .337
FT% .798 to .805

However, after another summer with Doc, I'm confident Jeremy's shooting numbers will be as good or better than Gorans:

I haven't seen too much of Dragic but he does seem pretty quick defensively. Jeremy does a good job of contesting even when he gets beat or has no help on the pick and rolls. JLin seems much stronger and bigger and thus does a good job defending 2's as well as smaller 3's. Dragic is not the ball hawk that JLin is either. With all of that said, I'd give the clear nod to Jeremy on the real important defensive side of the ball. So, the only obvious advantage to Goran right now would be ball handling.

Lets also remember, Jeremy was thrust into the spot light on the biggest stage in sports, with a group of roll players. Then, when they were healthy, he had to deal with jealous superstars. This is not to mention teams sending double and triple teams to stop him so not to be embarrassed by Linsanity.

When it is all said and done, I don't think we'll even be comparing JLin and Dragic. Jeremy Lin will be a superstar, Goran Dragic will be a solid starting point guard.

However, you have to give Jeremy a lot of credit in actually comparing himself to Dragic before he even played and before Dragic was more than just a backup. I think this was done in self deprecation but has turned out to be prophetic in that the media is now comparing the two. He obviously couldn't compare himself to DWade before he even played a game in the NBA.

Jeremy from the outset stated his goals were to get in the rotation, become a starter, play in the Olympics (I'm pretty sure on this one but can't find that interview), and win Championships. So, for those of you who think Jeremy is totally surprised by where he is today, think again. He may be surprised by how fast and how crazy the journey has been, but I believe he has always known that he could be this good.
I think Jeremy tried to lead last year but Melo wanted to prove it was his team and wasn't ready to let a rookie lead or control him. JLin's Future In New York?
Back to the bay?

Could Jeremy Lin come back to the Bay?

Where would you like to see Jeremy end up next season? I'm actually hoping he ends up with a team like the Toronto Raptors, where he'll be the main star and where he'll shine bright. None of this 6th man, backup non-sense talk. This guy is a star and will be a true superstar very soon. If he is allowed to run a team next season, like say the Raptors, Trailblazers, or Phoenix (if Nash leaves), he'll be a shoe in All-Star. If JLin stays in NY, he'll still be fine but he'll just have to deal with Melo and Woodson who'll hold his numbers down.

No Lin No Win

This was a very predictable end to this series without JLin. Also, very predictable is the New York media trying to call out Jeremy for not playing. He wasn't even cleared by the doctors and he is making the league minimum. Why in the world would anyone try to come back at 85%, early from knee surgery, without a contract? Also, your team would still be a heavy underdog going up against the team favored to win the NBA Championship?

Yes, he played more minutes, but his production per 36 minutes was about the same. He actually played very well at the end of last season and just carried that over. On the other hand, Jeremy's improvement statistically was incredible. Lots of this may have to do with just being given the playing time, but for whatever the reason the percentage increases are staggering across the board. If you want to say he just didn't play enough games, well that is fair.

Jeremy did receive 10 first place votes and I believe these are some of the well respected writers who voted for him:

Marc Stein
Henry Abbott
Scott Howard Cooper

Also, not all of the voters are great basketball minds. One gave Andrew Bogut a first place vote:

http://www.nba.com/2012/news/05/04/most-improved-player/?ls=iref:nbahpt1
Yes, his back injury and his brothers passing had a lot to do with his poor play and pent up frustration. However, I think Woodson and Melo are just as much a part of his frustration. Remember, they were also trying to trade Stat for Chris Paul before the season.

This will be a very interesting off season for the Knicks.

Anyway, can you believe this was less than three months ago?
