I have to say that I am really liking the covers to this series, I especially like this one because of mister mans tattoo. I'm a scorpio so have a thing for guys with scorpion tattoos. I also like that they keep the models faces hidden for the most part so the characters I've come up with, or will come up with, once I read it will stay nicely preserved and not tarnished, lol. Also this sounds just awesome, and will probably be my favorite in the series to date. . . of course I've yet to read the second book, Immortal Rider, in this series. But what do you think? Sound good? Look good? Let me know!

But this newest release just looks and sounds just as good as the previous three do. The cover is one of my favorites I've seen for this years release, and it's title, Nice Girls Don't Bite Their Neighbors, is just too funny. I'm even more anxious to get this series now!

Product Review: Sliquid Lube Cube

The ever awesome staff at Babeland.com sent me the Sliquid Lube Cube free of charge in exchange for an honest review of this product. This product is probably one of my favorites I've been lucky to review so far, not because $2 of your purchase goes to Immigration Equality, but because this little cube full of lube packets is quite handy! Pretty too.

Sliquid Lube Cube comes in a very attractive, but not discreet, colorful box. The ingredients (vegan) for each lubricant is on the one side of the box while the Sliquid Promise is on the other. On the top flap of the box is the quote "Created by sensible women for sensitive women." And on the back is the quote "Love your Body" along with a snapshot of the product you're getting. It's about the same size as a post-it note, but fatter. You receive a variety of 12 different Sliquid lubes; 2 packets of Sliquid H2O, 2 packets of Sliquid Sassy, 2 packets of Sliquid Silver, 2 packets of Green Apple (flavored), 2 packets of Cherry Vanilla (flavored), and 2 packets of Blue Raspberry (flavored). Each packet contains .17 ounces and costs $15.

Vegan Ingredients:

Sliquid H20:

Purified Water, Plant Cellulose (from cotton), Cyamopsis (Guar Conditioners), Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid.

Sliquid H2O is a hypoallergenic, glycerin, and fragrance free lube that emulates your body's own natural lubrication. It is safe to use on all sex toys. Condom safe. But not exactly anal play preferred as it is more of a thinner lubricant. Will require a bit of spit/water to reatcivate it's slickness.

Sliquid Sassy:

Purified Water, Plant Cellulose (from cotton), Cyamopsis (Guar Conditioners), Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid.

Sassy is mostly used for anal play, and is safe to use on all sex toys. Being that it is a water-based lube it does require extra applications, or a little spit/water to reactiveate it's slickness.

Sliquid Silver:

Dimethicone, Dimethiconol, Cyclopentasiloxane.

Use Sliquid Silver when you need extra slickness. Hypoallergenic and scent-free this is an ultra-concentrated silicone lubricant. Waterproof for bath/shower play. It is latex and rubber friendly. Use on non-silicone toys.

Green Apple, Blue Raspberry, Cherry Vanilla:

Purified Water, Plant Cellulose (from cotton), Cyamopsis (Guar Conditioners), Natural Flavoring, Aspatame, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid.

These Sliquid Swirl flavored lubes are best for the obvious use, oral sex. Or if you just want something that smells real nice. They are water based, hypoallergenic, non-toxic, non-staining and glycerin free. Being that these are both hypoallergenic & glycerin free these are less likely to cause any irritation to the users.

These lubricants are all Paraben and Glycerine free, so if you were worried about Paraben & Glycerine's don't be. If you are looking for a new favorite lubricant, flavored or otherwise, this pack of samples is worth the purchase, especially if you're wanting to specifically try a Sliquid product or something designed for sensitive people and aren't harsh on the body. As well, if you are the charitable sort or believe in the cause, the $2 donation is a nice little way to do your good deed of the month.

If you are worried about how to store this you can just toss it on your nightstand, in your purse, overnight/booty bag and not take up much of any space at all. Good for gift giving as well, just maybe not to a male friend since the colors of its box are more girly. Unless of course they like cotton candy colors.

Super Bowl XLVI Suck-Time Show

For those of you who are watching, or watched, the Super Bowl this evening and sat through the half time show you all know that the iconic woman in music, Madonna, was the main attraction. Now, I don't have any problems with Madonna, some of her music is worth listening to. . . just not in the half time show for the Super Bowl! Seriously, that was one of the most awful halftime shows I've had to sit through. Though I imagine, and throw rocks at me if you want for this, if I were transgender, gay or had a habit of dressing in drag, I would have enjoyed it much more. But I guess I should be thankful I had to watch Madonna and not Lady Gaga.

I'm not saying that neither lady has good music. I would just rather listen to Gaga than watch her. Same with Madonna. My disapointment had a lot to do with the song choices Madonna did. I was expecting something more upbeat. Something to get me excited for the game once it came back on, instead I was forced to sit there dumbfounded wondering, why the hell bloody Madonna was the main event! She's Teen Choice Award material, or even the American Music Awards but not the Super Bowl.

Another thing that was just stupid about the halftime show this year were the little glimpses of the other artists that performed with her. They're appearance was just a waste of time and money. Seriously, they had what? Like 20 seconds of air time each to sing with Madonna. I bet they were paid a crap load just to basically walk on and right back off of the stage so Madonna could have her time in the spotlight.

Of course I expect some of the people who watched the halftime show/Super Bowl this year did enjoy the halftime show. They just love them some Madonna, but I bet a majority of the fans were just as disapointed. Hopefully next year we get something kickass and rockin'.

Recipe: Banana Split Cupcakes

My nephew, Ethan's, birthday is coming up here on the 14th of this month (that's right, a Valentine's baby) and so I get the pleasure of making his cake. . . or in this case, cupcakes! He'll be turning four so I was really wanting to do something tasty and colorful but completely unique to what anyone in the house, or who will be attending the party has tasted in a cake. I came across a recipe on foodnetwork.com for a banana split cake while looking for recipes on Vanilla Buttercream Frosting and so decided to see if there would be any other recipes for this on the web, and came across the site Bakers Royale and found one for, obviously, cupcakes! In all honesty compared to the cupcakes the cake looked like crap so I decided to go with this one because it looked more birthday-y and festive.

That image above is from the Bakers Royale site and is what the finished product is supposed to look like. But since I am not any good at fancy decorating I went a different route, and added a few different ingredients to make it. . . dare I say it, yes I shall, better.

When I think of banana splits I think of the yummy gooey mess I eat at the ice cream stand in the summer time. So, a yummy gooey mess I created. For the most part I stuck to the directions and ingredients that the recipe(s) called for, with a few minor changes. Seriously, it is a banana split cupcake! We needed more toppings!

These were a huge hit for the house, I made a sample batch yesterday so I could try them all out before the party (glad I did because I had a few frazzled moments). I still have 5 cupcakes left, guarding them like a hawk, because the people who need to approve these most (birthday boy, his moms, and sisters) won't be here until sometime tomorrow to taste these and give me either the thumbs up or thumbs down. And to be honest, if not a bit insulted on my behalf, lol, my sister didn't sound too enthusiastic about agreeing to let me do his birthday cake, because apparently store bought is better. Anyways, if you would like to make these yourself you can find the recipe HERE.

Here are the changes I made to the directions:

1) I don't use cupcake liners when baking cupcakes, everyone here hates cupcake wrappers because it ends up getting crumbs on your shirt. So I spray a light coat of Bake Easy into the cups of my cupcake pan and pour the mixture into it. They come out nice and easy, without crumbling, and if you're serving these cupcakes in the same manner as I did you don't risk eating paper, lol.

2) Instead of frosting the cakes twice, once before dipping into the chocolate dipping sauce & then again after it froze and set, I took one large spoon of Vanilla Buttercream Frosting and iced it on as if I were spooning ice cream into an ice cream cone. It gives it a nice little peek and gives an even amount of frosting that isn't too much or too little! I did freeze them before icing and after icing so the frosting would set, after the time required I set them in the refrigerator until they were ready to be served.

3) Instead of dipping the first round of frozen frosting in chocolate dipping sauce and re-freezing the cupcakes I just drizzled some Smucker's Sundae Syrup over the cupcake. Also aside from icing the cupcakes I did no other decorating, until cupcakes are ready to be served.

4) Once cakes are ready to be served I set the cupcakes in separate sundae bowls and sliced them in half, spooning in a bit of Smucker's Strawberry Toppings and Smucker's Pineapple Toppings in between each half. Drizzled on some chocolate syrup, sprinkles and added a cherry on top. You could also do like me, if you have a big family with a variety of different likes/dislikes, serve each person separately and add their favorite toppings as they tell you.

5) Also I used a completely different recipe for the Vanilla Buttercream Frosting so if you want it, it's a lot more simpler & tastes amazing, just let me know and I'll post it up.

If making cakes from scratch isn't something you want or like to do let me know and I'll post up a more easy and quicker recipe for you to try. Either way these are well worth trying!

Here is a series that I've been wanting to try, I just discovered that the third book has recently been released in hardcover, print will be released later on this year some time. I have the first book, First Grave on The Right, but have yet to start reading it. Anyways I've heard from several friends that it's worth reading so figured I'd let those of you not in the know of this series know about it.

Charley sees dead people. That’s right, she sees dead people. And it’s her job to convince them to “go into the light.” But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (i.e. murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. Complicating matters are the intensely hot dreams she’s been having about an entity who has been following her all her life…and it turns out he might not be dead after all. In fact, he might be something else entirely.

***WARNING: MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!!!If you have not read book one, stop now!***

When Charley is rudely awakened in the middle of the night by her best friend who tells her to get dressed quickly and tosses clothes out the closet at her, she can’t help but wonder what Cookie’s up to. Leather scrunch boots with a floral miniskirt? Together? Seriously?

After dragging Charley out the door and trying unsuccessfully to stuff her into a trunk—mostly ‘cause Charley pitches a fit—Cookie finally explains that a friend of hers named Mimi disappeared five days earlier and that she just got a text from her setting up a meet at a coffee shop downtown. They show up at the coffee shop, but no Mimi. After a brief investigation, Charley finds a message on the bathroom wall. Mimi left a clue, a woman’s name. They head to the parking lot only to be accosted by a frantic husband with a gun. After some soothing words and a few deep breathing exercises, the husband, aka Warren Jacobs, hires Charley to find his wife. He explains that his wife had been acting strange since she found out an old friend of hers from high school had been found murdered a couple weeks prior. The same woman Mimi had named in her message.

Meanwhile, Reyes Alexander Farrow (otherwise known as the Son of Satan. Yes. Literally) has left his corporeal body and is haunting Charley. He’s left his body because he’s being tortured by demons who want to lure Charley closer. But Reyes can’t let that happen. Because if the demons get to Charley, they’ll have a portal to heaven. And if they have a portal to heaven…well, let’s just say it wouldn’t be pretty. Can Charley handle hot nights with Reyes and even hotter days tracking down a missing woman? Will Cookie ever get a true fashion sense? And is there enough coffee and chocolate in the world to fuel them as they do?

Charley Davidson—grim reaper extraordinaire, private investigator . . . meh—is practicing her profession under the influence, caffeine and copious amounts of it, due to an extreme desire to induce insomnia. Every time she closes her eyes, Reyes Farrow, the part-human, part-supermodel son of Satan, is there. Only thing is, he’s a tad peeved. She did bind for all eternity, so it’s hard blame him. But 13 days without a wink is bound to bring out the crazy in a girl. So, when a man hires her to find his wife, Charley accepts the job with one goal in mind: Put the man behind bars, and not the wet kind. She can sense the guilt waft off him and vows to find the woman’s body and prove he’s a murderer.

In the meantime, Reyes is back in prison and none too happy about it . . . so Charley thinks, until she is carjacked by the dark-haired rake, who swears the very man he went to prison for killing is not only alive, but close by. And he wants Charley to find him.

While a visit to her old friend Rocket sheds no light on Reyes’s situation, Charley finds out the man’s wife is still alive and time is running out. Finding her before she dies would be a miracle, but she has to try. Together with the help of a fashion-impaired receptionist named Cookie, Charley sets out to bring the bad guys to justice. She just hopes Reyes is not one of them. And that she’s not hallucinating from her self-induced bout with insomnia.

I think one of the things that makes this book so great is that it isn't this big huge long over drawn book on one subject. Not only does it discuss how to introduce your lover to the whole back door sex world but it talks about how to go about it if your a mix-gendered couple, or if you're guy wants you to take him from behind for a change (also known as pegging), the different types of toys you can add into your anal play, the different types of lubricants you should use or avoid, harnesses, positions. It's an endless list. Most importantly it tells you how to do it SAFELY in only 152 pages.

The illustrations for this book are cheesy, I'm not going to lie, but I think they kind of make the book that much more interesting to read. Gives it, and no pun intended here, a cheeky feel. They're not actual nude photos of couples rather rough sketches of cartoonish people. One of them even looks a lot like Derek Huff.

So if you're looking for a quick informative read, and see little cartoon drawings of Darek Hough doing the naughty, this is defenitly worth reading. Even if you're not really into the whole anal thing it gives you a better understanding and answers any questions you might have.

Product Review: Inqocnito Necktie

Here is something I think you bondage lovers will like. Even more so if you are into the whole collar and leash thing. I myself ain't into having a collar around my neck like I'm some dog but when I came across this little item on the Babeland website I knew I had to somehow get my hands on it for review, because I know there are plenty others out there who feel the same way I do about the whole collar and leash thing. This is actually a collar and leash I don't mind having around my neck, it's sleek and sexy and something that just adds both class and sex appeal to the person wearing it.

I received the Inqocnito Necktie from Babeland for review, the ties are black and is available with two different accent color options. Rose Gold and Silver "knots." I received the silver for review. Prices for these ties range between $54 - $59; obviously the gold costs more. The neckties themselves are made of polyester and rayon, and feels like the outside of a suit jacket rather than silk as I'd expected, but makes for a sturdy leash and collar. The "knot" is made of sterling-silver plated metal that is nice and cool against the flesh and attracts the eye. Two problems that I have with this "knot" though is that I have a bony collar bone and chest so if I'm readjusting how the tie sits or if someone grabs the tie and then just drops it back into place at a bad angle it hits hard and hurts. Also as much as I like the "knot" I don't like that it's so chunky. Maybe because I'm small and petite it just looks too big from my perspective, on a guy it would probably look different and more in place. (If that makes sense)

I wore this tie with a black blazer and I personally think it looked great. I imagine it would look even more sexy on a guy wearing a suite. It might cost a lot for something as simple as a "tie" but it's also a luxury item, so of course it costs some money! It comes packaged in a simple attractive black box making it great for giving as a gift. There is a handle on the underside of the tie for griping, so you don't get choked or don't go choking your lover by accident. Cleaning I would suggest spot cleaning whenever you need it, or maybe even dry cleaning, there isn't any directions on how to clean if and when it's needed so this is just what I'll do when ever it needs it.

Measuring at 24 inches this has a neck diameter that ranges between 10-26 inches, so will fit a wide variety of necks. For the most part this is a discreet item with discreet packaging. There's nothing on the tie that yells to the world that it's actually a collar and leash. There is a sticker on the box that says that this is a "Neck accessory & leash" and on the inside there is a slip of paper that states the same thing. So unless someone is paying very close attention to labels it's still pretty discreet. Which of course I love! I love this item and suggest this for both those into collars and leashes and even to those, like me, who aren't. It's just so sexy.

Product Review: Obsession Bullet Vibe

I received the Obsession Bullet Vibe for review from Babeland.com. This come in a nice, good looking, plastic case and is available in on the Babeland website in one color, metalic purple. Look wise on the site this product doesn't really do much for me, it looks cheap and not exactly thrilling. In it's case however and once you see it in person it's actually a lot nicer. This is really one of those things where you shouldn't judge a product by it's initial appearance because it works a whole lot better and is much funner to play with once you get your hands on it. And for it's price, $28, it's one of few bullet vibes that I've tried that I can honestly say is well worth the money.

This is a remote controlled bullet vibe, a long cord (over a foot long) connects the vibe to the remote, that runs on two AA batteries (not included). The silver bullet vibe is made of hard smooth plastic that warms to the body's heat after extended use, while the control is a velvety soft plastic making for an easy hold. Two buttons control the vibrations. One turns it on and off while the other shuffles through all seven, yes seven, speeds and vibrations. Whatever setting you turn the bullet off on is the same setting it will start on the next time you use this. Which means it has a memory sensor! It really is an awesome feature that ensures you get to your mode quick and fast without having to shuffle through all the settings to get to the one you want.

Clean up is easy given that this is water proof and fully submersible so you can clean this any way you want. Aside from tossing it into a dishwater or boiling pot of water, of course. Just use your favorite toy cleaner, mild soap and warm water and you're ready to store it away for future use. Noise levels are modest for those of you who live with someone or have paper thin walls in your apartment building. Vibrations range from soft, medium, fast, pulse, medium pulse, fast pulse, and roller coaster. My favorite is roller coaster, because it's a nice tease leading up to a happy ending.

One problem with this toy is that it doesn't come with directions, and even though this is a simple toy to operate I did have a hard time figuring out how to get the dang remote open to insert the batteries (pull the bottom off, don't twist! I almost broke it that way). Aside from the lack of knowing how to open the battery compartment there's nothing I can complain about, other than I wished Babeland offered the other colors the company makes. Not only because I enjoy options but because I'm curious as to how the others look. I've used this toy quite a bit since I've gotten this and it is quickly moving to the top of my list of favorite toys in my box of tricks. Well worth the price and a recommended buy.

"One For The Money" by Janet Evanovich

She’s a product of the “burg,” a blue-collar pocket of Trenton where houses are attached and narrow, cars are American, windows are clean, and (God forbid you should be late) dinner is served at six.

Now Stephanie’s all grown up and out on her own, living five miles from Mom and Dad’s, doing her best to sever the world’s longest umbilical cord. Her mother is a meddler, and her grandmother is a few cans short of a case.

Out of work and out of money, with her Miata repossessed and her refrigerator empty, Stephanie blackmails her bail bondsman cousin, Vinnie, into giving her a try as an apprehension agent. Stephanie knows zilch about the job requirements, but she figures her new pal, fearless bounty hunter Ranger, can teach her what it takes to catch a crook.

Her first assignment: nail Joe Morelli, a former vice cop on the run from a charge of murder one. Morelli is also the irresistible macho pig who took Stephanie’s virginity at age sixteen and then wrote the details on the bathroom wall of Mario’s Sub Shop. There’s still powerful chemistry between these two, so the chase should be interesting.

It could also be extremely dangerous, especially when Stephanie encounters a heavyweight title contender who likes to play rough. Benito Ramirez is known for his brutality to women. At the very least, his obsession with Stephanie complicates her manhunt and brings terror and uncertainty into her life. At the worst, it could lead to murder.

It's been about seven years since I first read this book. I was excited to re-read One For The Money because this is one of my favorite series and have been wanting to get back into it, starting from the very beginning. I remember that my initial thoughts, back when I first read this book, was that it was just good enough to want to read more into this series to see how it developed along the way. My feelings this time around are still the same. This is just an alright read. It's nothing spectacular but is good for passing the time and has good potential of only getting better as the series continues. Personally there is just too much ghetto talk from too many characters to enjoy completely. (Ghetto talkers: Ranger, Lula, Jackie, Ramirez). And again Joe Morelli is my favorite guy between him and Ranger. Okay, it's actually a bit of a tie, if Ranger fixed his speaking some he'd be a dream boat.

Plot wise this was a good read, and gave plenty of laughs, I even forgot until the very last moment, right before all was revealed, who was trying to kill Stephanie and why. There was a good deal of humor to the story but not nearly enough romance. . . one kiss in all, which is just horrible! All in all this was good, not great, but still worth the read. . . or re-read in this case.

January Spotlight is the newest thing I will be doing here around the corner. Each month I will select 1 book, 1 movie and 1 recipe to spotlight on my blog. Read, watch, eat and review. Books and movies will be both newly released in that month or old movies I've discovered or rediscovered and felt worthy of being in the spotlight. Recipe's are either something I've thrown together inside my head and thought sounded great and in reality ended up just as tasty as I thought it would or it will be something I've come across in a cook book, on the web, has been passed through the family or someone has suggested I try and is just too good not to share. Book of The Month

In preparation for it's January 27th movie release I will be re-reading one of my favorite books this month. One for The Money by Janet Evanovich. My bestie and partner-in-crime, Lula, has a habit of re-reading the Twilight books just before every new Twilight movie release and so I am taking a page from her book and am doing that with this one. Not only to rediscover a novel I read some 7-8 years ago but to see just how well the movie sticks with the book. I personally have my doubts, but we'll see.

Movie of The Month

As mentioned above one of my favorite books of all time is being released into a movie here in a few weeks. And though I have my doubts, thanks to the casting directors screwing up an important key to a successful movie, the CAST!!! I still plan on watching this one when it releases. Mainly because I made a promise to one of my readers and my bestie that I'd see this, but also because I just have to see how bad they screwed up on it. And only because it is based on the Janet Evanovich novel is this movie already in a spotlight.

Recipie of The Month

I love baking and have always wrote down several recipes that have popped up into my head and finally I got the courage to actually try one! I've never made cupcakes before so this was my first attempt and they were a hit, so am very excited to share the recipe. And no worries, just because it looks fancy it's simple to make. I promise!
