I'm finding it difficult to manage life, school, and blog. And finding it even more difficult to care about what reviews I get caught up on and which one's I don't. Not because I'm a snob or anything, but because I'm too tired to, lol.

and in the end. . . I think I really do have to end the review blog. It's more work than what I can do with while going back to school for Law Enforcement. No blurb to this one yet but I did manage to find an image for this book. I like it, I'm not in love with it but I like it. It matches the other covers in this series. I like how the "V" in vamp is a bat. Probably my favorite part of it.

I was contacted by St. Martin's Press about several old classics from Barbara Delinksy that had been published back in the 1980's and 90's under a pseudonym. These books haven't been out in print in a dozen years and though they still won't be coming out in print anytime soon, I imagine, they are going to be re-released in ebook format coming this May! This is the first time these books will be available as ebooks, starting with The Forever Instinct, First Things First, Straight From The Heart, and The Scent of Jasmine. I really wish these were coming out in print because they sound like some serious good reading for a lazy rainy day.

When Jordanna Kirkland agrees to go backpacking in New Hampshire, she doesn’t realize the trip is for men only—and that one of those men would be Patrick Clayes. Not only is Patrick rugged, handsome, and irresistibly charming, he’s also her ex-husband’s business rival in New York. Jordanna knows she should ignore her attraction to Patrick. But when the nights get cold, those lips of his are awfully warm—and impossible to resist. Why fight it? What happens in the wild stays in the wild, right? The real problem starts when Jordanna and Patrick go back to the boardrooms of Manhattan—but the passion never stops…

Chelsea Ross is renowned for her success at locating missing children. But when a wealthy Boston socialite asks her to track down her 40-year-old son, Chelsea is thrown for a loop. The runaway “child” in question, Samuel Prescott London, is a powerful executive who’s apparently gone AWOL south of the border. Posing as a tourist, Chelsea manages to find Sam in the outskirts of Cancun—hot, handsome, and happy to be far from the corporate rat race. Chelsea promised Sam’s mother she’d bring him back home. But after a few days of playing tourist by his side—and spending nights in his arms—she’s not so sure she’s ready to give him up…

Straight From the Heart is a classic novel of one lovesick doctor and the woman who makes his heart ache with desire…

As the head of cardiology at New Haven Medical Center, Dr. Robert McCrae knows a lot about the human heart. But it’s not until he spots Heather Cole’s beautiful face at one of his lectures that he realizes how much more he needs to learn. From the moment he sees her, his heart skips a beat—metaphorically speaking—and his pulse rate soars. It turns out that Heather is a local hand-bag designer who’s not just playing doctor; she’s putting her heart on the line. Rob may be the only one who can help. But first she’ll have to trust him—and take a risk on falling in love…

Every woman in town is buzzing about “him”—the new man on Pepper MacNeil’s mail delivery route—and it’s easy to see why. Standing high atop his old Georgian fixer-up, bare-chested and muscles gleaming, John Smith is a sight to behold. Besides knowing how to shingle a roof—and unhinge the local ladies—he can’t help flirting with his friendly neighborhood mail carrier. Pepper is charmed, and definitely interested. But when she finds a perfume-scented letter in John’s mail, she wonders what kind of romantic secrets he’s hiding. Pepper has secrets, too. But is she ready to open her heart to John? Fortunately, when it comes to love, this man can deliver… (Previously published as Jasmine Sorcery)

Barbara Delinsky has written more than 19 New York Times bestselling novels. There are over 30 million copies of her books in print, including those published in 25 languages worldwide. Her current fiction centers upon everyday families facing not-so-everyday challenges. The Boston Globe calls Delinsky a “first-rate storyteller” who creates characters “as familiar as your neighbors.” Glowing reviews have appeared in USA Today, People magazine, and in major newspapers across the country.

Although her books and writing style have changed since the ‘80s and ‘90s, Delinsky shares her excitement at having her earlier books available again. “These older books are good – I do love each and every one, just like I love my kids – but they’re different,” says Delinsky. “Good but different. Isn’t that the way of people everywhere?”

Police Academy Diaries: Playing with guns

*Picture taken by one of my stalker classmates

If you stalk my blog frequently than you know that it's been a while since my last post. For those of you who don't know I've been going back to school since April 9th of this year training for Law Enforcement so my time to read more than our school textbook or State Statue guide book (Which is bigger than the bible and in the same type of print. Tiny and squished together.) is few and far between. Class hours are between 6pm - 11pm which is great for a night owl like me, sadly though by time I wake up I'm already preparing for class and what all I'll need. I leave home at 4pm and get to school around 4:30pm, I leave early because I live out in the country and take several long winding and very secluded roads to the academy, so if I happen to break down, which it's already happened, I'll have time to either call my dad to come get me or flag someone down to give me a jump so I can make it to class on time.

Anyways, last week we started Firearms training. On Tuesday we met our instructors, all 3 of them, and did a quick run through of the textbook and safety weapon check drills. Embarrassingly I had a hard time even getting the slide back on my 9mm to perform the check. Luckily though I wasn't the only one who had this problem. On Wednesday we did more drills of how to perform certain firing techniques and had a pop quiz. . . oh, and I had to do push ups because I told one of my instructors that my name was Jennifer instead of Jessica. He thought it was funny, but he thought it was even funnier to make me do push ups for my little white lie, LOL. On Thursday the "fun" began. We got to shoot at targets. Had I not had a craptastic day before class started and unable to just leave my home life at home and not in training, I had a hard time enjoying this experience even though my instructors and classmates tried their hardest to put me in a good mood. I do get bragging rights that with my very first shot on my very first target I was the only one in my line to hit the target at all. Surprising not only myself but my class and instructors since the guy to my right is an ex Army Ranger. (Boo yeah bitches!) And then on my 5th target I managed to get 5 shots out of 18 in my target. Supposedly this is good shooting for someone that's never handled or shot a gun before. Though I'm still hesitant in believing this to be true, I really think they were just trying to make me feel better.

Tonight we shoot some more and I have a feeling we get to experience a little thing called a "pop quiz." And with that being said I am off to finish preparing for class tonight and hit my books for this quiz, should it happen. I'll fill you in later on how things went tonight.

It comes in several fragrances including green tea, pear berry, citrus, original and several others. and is available in a 4 fl. oz. (120 ml) bottle. I purchased this in green tea, as I happen to love the scent, and was curious as to just how good this product was since I'd been seeing good things about this on the web.

Unlike the original push top it now has a pump top, and the label is much more eye catching than it's previous one. One of the things I like about this product is that you can use this for both shaving and as hair conditioner, though I've yet to try it. Directions on how to use both ways are on the back of original bottles label, not sure if it is on the newer label.

It's consistancy is that of Suave conditioner. And only takes less than a fingertip full of creme to lather up one leg and do it's job.

Unless you are really desperate for a whitish lather to shave with you'll get a nice clear slippery lather to work with. Which makes it easy to catch any areas you may have missed in your mission for hair free skin that's smooth as a babies bottom. Literally. Another thing that I love about this product is that it comes out of the razor blades easy and doesn't clog them up before you even finish both legs to move onto other places. Less is always more with this and it doesn't cost an arm or an leg. (yes, I did have to use that pun).

It took a lot of effort to get that little bit of white lather going on. (right)

I can say that since using this I've experienced less razor burn but I still do get the occasional ingrown hair but nothing like standard foam shaving cream gets me. As far as smell goes the scent on this is really nice, it's not too strong and but not to subtle as to where you can't tell its scented. This is something I do plan to gift to friends and family members as it's been requested by several, and since Eden Fantasys now offers more scents and prettier containers I can still give everyone their own little little bottle without feeling as if I'm just getting everyone the same exact thing. If you're in the market for a new affordable shaving cream this is something worth looking into.

Product Review: Make Me Over

Sadly this is where this product starts to lose points for awesomeness. I was a little worried when I first requested this because I wasn't positive based on looks alone that it would be able to do much in the ways of pleasing me, so I requested it for the sole purpose of trying it as a body massager rather than a sex toy. As a sex toy it's vibrations don't even seem to do much in the way of, well, anything. As a body massager this only worked on my shoulders, neck, and back but no where else. But of course since different strokes work for different folks this doesn't mean this product won't work much better for you than it did for me.

That's right. No batteries required for this. The Make Me Over has 7 pre-set vibration patterns, is splash proof, and made of silicone which is a body friendly material that is Pthalate free. For those seeking a whisper quiet massager this one isn't quiet all that silent but still pretty low on the modest scale. You might not be able to hear it through closed doors or under covers but you still might want to have some sort of background noise just in case.

To turn on just press the + sign and hold for 3 seconds. And hold the - for 3 seconds to turn off. When toy is on and running just channle through the speeds and vibrations by using either button. When you need to recharge just set the "pouff" back in its case making sure the metal ring is touching the two metal buttons inside and connect the USB cord to both the compact base and an available USB slot on your laptop or computer tower. Charging takes about two hours and gives you approximately 1 hour of play time. Instructions say to clean after every use with mild soap and water (dry thoroughly), though I imagine using a toy cleaner of your choice will work fine.

For it's price however I wish it had a little more vibration power for its buck.

These ticklers come in a very pretty shade of red with a few accent "raven" colored feathers scattered about and are priced at a cheap and affordable price of $6.80. You could use these for sensation play, role play (naughty maid), or as a nifty little key chain decoration, which is what I am doing with mine.

As far as packaging goes there isn't anything but a Sportsheets tag with the product name on the front, along with the companies web address; On the back of the tag is a series of bar codes one for each color the company makes as well as a little notice that states that this product is sold as an adult novelty only. And of course on the inside of this tag, it opens up, are a few "sexy hints" on what all you can do with your pleasure feather.

From tip of feathers to the end of the handles string this measures out about 10" long. 6 inches excluding handle, which you can use to ensure that you don't loose your tickler during play time. Cleaning is something I'm still a little unsure about, if you use this with lickable body powder, I suppose you could just smack it against the side of the table a couple good times and then restore it in your toy chest. If you only use this for sensation play, without the powders, than there's really no need to wash this.

Personally I like the tickle it gives when being dragged across a sensitive part but it's not an item that I'm crazy about having involved in bedroom play. At it's price though I would consider getting this along with some other items and tossing them into a gift bag for a bridal shower or a couples anniversary gift. Or if you want a kinky little key chain decoration you could always use it for that.

"Legally Hot" by Lora Leigh, Cheyenne McCray, & Red Garnier

I was actually pretty excited when I opened my mailbox and found this book waiting for me for review. I'd seen this book over on Paperback Swap a few times and had loved the cover, but as with all anthologies I'm always reluctant to actually pick one up. Not only because the stories they give you are typically too short but a great deal of the time almost all of the stories suck. But I did love the cover and had previous read books by each of these authors, two of which I liked the other whom I disliked, and was willing to give this a shot. I regret that decision and think I will no longer have high expectations on anthologies. They always end in disappointment. :(

Given that I no longer have the time to just sit down and read whenever I want and however long I want I'm no longer forcing myself to read something I'm not enjoying to the bitter end. Which is something I've felt I always had to do sense I agreed to review something. Well I can still say something sucks without finishing it because I do that all the times, whether it's eating out, watching a movie or you guessed it, reading a book. Needless to say I did not finish this book or any of the stories included in it.

__________

Shelia's Passion by Lora Leigh

As a former Marine, Nick Casey still wakes up in a sweat over the things he's seen in the field. However, when it comes to his best friend -- and the only woman he has ever wanted -- Sheila Monterey, he may have met his biggest challenge yet. Sheila has sworn off love after having her heart broken one time too many and Nick can't convince her to give it another try. But when he tempts her into becoming temporary friends with benefits, Nick fully intends to make her his forever.

I'm actually a fan of Lora Leigh so was excited to read something by her. Unfortunately I couldn't even make it past the prequel, it was so boring. Prequels are basically an authors selling chance. If it doesn't hold even the slightest bit of promise that this story will be an awesome one I'm not wasting my time. Here's what I got from the prequel: Revenge, revenge, revenge. Betrayal, betrayal, betrayal. Disgraced family. Blah, blah, blah. If you're going to do a story with some sort of mafia family connection to it, make it awesome. Not boring.

Deadly Dance by Cheyenne McCray

Detective Adam Boyd is still putting his life back together after a break-up when he gets word that the man who killed his old partner has been released from prison. Keri Holliday's career as a professional ballerina was ended abruptly six years ago after she was brutally attacked. Now her attacker, the same man who killed Adam's partner, is back on the streets, and looking for revenge against the woman whose testimony assured he was locked away. Adam will do whatever it takes to keep her safe... and never let her go.

This was actually my second attempt at reading anything by this author and I will say it now she's pretty unimpressive in my book and I won't try another book. Yeah, yeah, call me a bitch all you want but hey. To each their own. Whatever floats your boat. This author might float yours but does absolutely nothing with mine. She just lacks the ability to grasp me in a death like grip and hold on to the very last page. This one was just too cheesy and forgettable and something I've seen dozens of times with the plot. Didn't make it pass chapter one.

Caught by Red Garnier

After his parents were murdered, young Cody was put in foster care... and Megan has thought about him ever since. Now that Cody is back he has three things to tell Megan: He's a police officer, he's found his parents' killer, and he wants to be her man -- until death do they part.

Now this started out as a great story. A really good and interesting read. But we all know I have high standards when it comes to what I read and out of no where Red just slapped me with a stupid heroine out of the middle of freaking no where. Seriously, this heroine went from awesome to stupid in a blink of the eye. Throughout the story the heroine mentions that she could always tell the difference between the hero and his twin brother, who also happens to be the villain. Then slap a bit of slip and lust in her eyes and she can't tell the two apart, even when it's beyond obvious. This little event completely ruined the story for me and I couldn't force myself to even care to finish it.

Cover: "The Madness Underneath" by Maureen Johnson

No this isn't a daily meme, I just seen my horoscope on Yahoo! and felt like sharing it. I'm one of those people who look to their horoscope for advise. . . unless of course that advice sucks. And yes, I am very into breaking open a fortune cookie to see what that little slip of paper has to tell me. Or sitting down and having someone read my tarrot cards. Not only is it fun seeing if your horoscope and fortune actually seem like their in tune with your life but it's also fun to see some of the crazy crap that gets posted up. Today though it was a pretty good horoscope.

Lately you have been pleasing a lot people and making a major impact without even really trying that hard, and this type of oversized effect is going to continue for a few more days. So it's time to call in a few favors and see who is willing to pitch in on your behalf -- you will be happily surprised by who raises their hand. Be careful not to be 'too' friendly with new people -- you run the risk of making people think that you are flirting with them.

The first part of my horoscope is something I don't really think is all that true. Though I do aim to please everyone I never try to make that much of an impact. So for it to say that I'm pleasing everyone and making an impact has me skeptical. I seriously doubt I pleased anyone this week. . . . other than with my awesome baking skills, I did please a lot of people with the cupcakes I made. (Trust me. If you want to have people sing your praises and gush over something you did. Make an awesome batch or lemon meringue "pie" cupcakes, lol).

The second part I will be taking to heart. Not only because I knew this would be a problem, my being too friendly for my own good, with starting school with a male dominate class but because just seeing it in black and white warning me not to be too friendly just confirms my earlier suspicions. So I will continue my game of "only talk when spoken to." Hey, it's worked for me for years. . . . although it kind of makes others think I'm really a stuck up bitch when I'm not. I'm shy by nature in a crowd of people I don't know. Trying to play nice and be friendly always ends with someone saying I'm flirting with their boyfriend (as if I really make it my goal to be quite the little home wrecker) or that I'm the class/town slut (I'm pretty sure sluts have more sex than I do, but hey, you never know these days. lol).

Cover & Blurb: "Good At Being Bad" by Cathryn Fox

<img class="highslide-image" height="320px" src="http://store.samhainpublishing.com/product_images/GoodAtBeingBad72lg.jpg" style="display: block; max-width: none; position: relative; visibility: visible; z-index: 3;" title="Click to close image, click and drag to move.

Public relations specialist Allison Cooper is more than ready to handle a career make-or-break assignment: to develop and market a charity calendar featuring hot men. Her only problem is Mr. July, a sexy cop who happens to be her ex-lover.

Trying to keep his image squeaky clean—a must for her promotion—raises all sorts of challenges, especially when this bad boy is throwing a little kink into her plan.

Image is the last thing on Carter James’s mind. He agreed to be Mr. July on one condition—that during his promo month, Allison never leaves his side. He wants her back, and to make that happen he needs her undivided attention to teach him good from bad. Unless bad is what the lady wants…

Warning: Contains frank language, hot sex on the beach, and illegal but sexy use of handcuffs.

Gibson de La Vega is the Bringer, one of the Alpha’s right-hand cats. It is his job to mete out justice and defend the law that holds their jamboree together.

After a contentious meeting with another jamboree, he’s shot—Mia stumbles onto the scene and saves his life. He’s immediately drawn to the female who dug three silver bullets from his body. Even after he discovers she’s a Porter, a family his own harmed grievously half a century before.

Mia has enough in her life. She’s recovering from a vicious hate crime—an attack using silver has affected her ability to do what she loves most. The last thing she needs is a bossy alpha cat like Gibson. A de La Vega no less.

Despite the myriad reasons to stay away, even as they continue to hunt down the would-be killers, their attraction deepens into something else entirely.

The answers they find bring that threat far closer to home than anyone could have imagined and it’ll be up to Gibson to end the mess once and for all. And up to Mia to stand at his side, even as he risks his life…

Warning: A super hot alpha male with a gruff façade, and an uppity female who’s not buying it.
Being the daughter of a world-renowned scientist, Sienna Peters has struggled to carve out her own career in the field. But her world is sent spinning when she discovers a secret species being held in the lab where she works, and the horrible things being done to them. Compelled to do more than hand off an information-packed jump drive to her father, she sets out to free the creatures.

The minute his team enters the compound, federal agent Warrick Donovan knows their mission will have more trouble than they bargained on. Unfortunately, trouble comes in the form of Sienna Peters, the younger sister of his close friend. Now not only does he need to save her pretty ass, he needs to discover just how involved she is with the imprisonment of the shifters.

Sienna knows she should trust no one—not even the man she might still love. But as the danger escalates and past passion ignites, her heart has other ideas. Even when the shroud of mystery is ripped off more than one stunning truth…

Warning: Must love alpha males, be intrigued by federal agents who may or may not shift into wolves, and most importantly be prepared for intense action of the dangerous and sexual kind.

And will be releasing as a digital novella. And I have to say it. I love this cover!

This is what Ben told Erin when he presented her and Todd with tickets to Fiji and the promise of ten days of nothing but sleeping until whenever they wanted, sex without having to lock the door and lots of alone time.

And that’s what they have. Long days and nights filled with pleasure. Long enough that the stress and exhaustion drops away and the three can simply enjoy each other.

They’ve got heat. More than ever before. Recharging their batteries has also brought new levels of intimacy and connection. Do they? Annabelle Ronaldi wasn't 100 percent sure of the answer. Floating between sleep and wakefulness after a nigh of way too much champagne, she figured she'd either had mind blowing sex with the ghost of her dead boyfriend, Chip, or his double. She crossed her fingers for the latter.

She'd only slept with two men, so the chances she'd increased that number by 50 percent beat the hell out of the odds of her waking with a ghost-- especially when she thought about it in a semisober state. A state she hadn't been in before.

She had to admit her relationship with Chip would have been a lot better if he'd been half as good in bed alive as his ghost was last night-- if, in fact, it was Chip's ghost sleeping beside her. Which brought her back to her initial question regarding the ability of ghosts to have sex-- Really, really good sex.

Annabelle opened her eyes and screamed. Loud.

The guy asleep next to her awoke and sat straight up as she jumped out of bed. "my god, you're real." yep, definitely real, and very much alive.

Thoughts: The first sentence alone is something that would instantly hook me into a book. It is a good question, you know. And the following paragraphs after it (which are all on the same page) keep me interested.

What about you?

Here's a fun little rabbit vibrator for all you political people. From "We can do this together, yes, we can" to "I'll make you scream louder than a Fox News talk show host." the Bipartisan Bunny will satisfy you political sex fiends in more ways than one. This dual-action vibrator comes with two different modes: Red and Blue, which are pre-programmed with different sayings: The Blue Mode will get Liberals hot, and the Red Mode will turn-on Conservatives. It gets even better though, this has a voice recorder so if none of the sayings available work for you you can make it say whatever your little heart desires!

Here are samples of the Bipartisan Bunny’s favorite sayings:

On the Blue Channel:

“We can do this together, yes, we can.”

“A little more to the left, oh yeah, there, that’s it.”

“Oh yeah, baby, just like a filibuster.”

“I’ll make you scream louder than a Fox News talk show host.”

“A little lower please, and I mean lower than a billionaire’s tax rate.”

And all I have to say about this cover is. . . yum. Natural Evil was released as an ebook novella by Samhain Publishing. And for $3.50 what's to complain about?. . . Other than it not being print. (I have no ereader so I'm complaining.)

Passion. Betrayal. It’s a dog-eat-dog world.

Claudia Hunter is on a road trip through the Nevada desert when she sees the body of a dog on the side of the highway. Pulling over to investigate, she quickly determines that the enormous animal is clinging to life. While working to save him with the help of the local vet, Claudia realizes there’s something about the creature that seems more. Other. Wyr. Which makes this case of animal cruelty attempted murder.

Too injured to shape shift, Luis Alvaraz is reluctant to tell Claudia what he knows about his attack, afraid it will only make her a target. But the sheriff is corrupt, and his attackers know Luis is alive and vulnerable. To make matters worse, a sandstorm is sweeping into town, and if they’re going to survive the night, Luis will have to place all his trust in Claudia.

Warning: Take a gorgeous man temporarily stuck in the dog house, add a strong, take-no-prisoners woman, mix in encroaching enemies and a raging sandstorm and stir to combine. Enjoy with a freshly opened can of whoop-ass.

Good Vibrations sells the Onye in two "colors", floral and dragon. I received the dragon for review.

The Onye is a small compact travel sized vibrator that I would classify as more of a clitoral toy rather than a vaginal toy. It's small size and stiffness of the material it's made of makes it hard to take in with. Onye measures out to be a little longer than 3 1/2" and 1 1/4" wide. Maybe it's just me but 3 1/2" is hardly enough to satisfy anything vaginally. If size doesn't matter to you or you're just in the market for a travel friendly vibe than this might work out for you.

Onye is made of ABS plastics, phthalate free and completely body. Runs on one AAA battery. And can easily be cleaned with mild soap and water, or toy cleaner if you prefer, and is waterproof so doesn't have to be babied while cleaning in fear of ruining the toy or it's inside working components. To use the Onye just insert a battery, screw on the cap just right to insure it's waterproofing, and pressing the easy push button. To turn it off just push the button once more.

Sadly there is only one speed for this toy, and for me it wasn't as strong as I would have liked. But keep in mind I didn't have a fresh AAA battery on hand to test this more accurately. Yes, fresh batteries make a one hell of a difference with a products performance. Still I would've liked to see more vibration choices, at least three, as one is always a hit and miss speed for everyone. When there's more choices there's a better chance of pleasing everyone. Noise wise the Onye is pretty quiet and under covers in a room with noise or in the shower I doubt anyone even notices what's going on in the next room.

The package that this product comes in isn't discreet as it shows off the entire toy but since the toy itself looks like a nifty little pen light or something it's not really all that bad, and is real simple to open. No muscles or scissors required. Along with the onye is a little instruction paper and black travel case for your Onye. I really think they should have spent a little more time on this travel case or just used a small black drawstring bag instead as the hard plastic it's made of fits the toy so snug and will eventually scratch off the beautiful details of my dragon. As for it's discreet factor though it passes the snoopers test, and resembles that of a tooth pick holder. All in all it was a decent toy I just ain't certain if it's worth the price tag for it though.
