I am still learning about the piano, and more now than ever since I bought my new one. After making a living as a pianist for fifty years, this may sound weird. Instead of trying to sound like a saxophone player, I began some time ago to focus on my approach to the piano. Everything here, from sitting low, like Glenn Gould, to removing the fall-board, to tuning the treble end sharp and driving piano technicians to distraction - except for MY technician! It's called stretching the keys, and pushing the envelope.

We just don't dream enough in this culture. Well, I am having plenty of dreams, all doable in this lifetime. Also, my attitudes about creativity and what it means to be a musician, an artist, and a thinker. There's something you don't find too much of lately ... real thinking.
