I can't wait until this movie comes out, one of my favorite manga stories. Half of the anime was good. Part one is scheduled to release this year. The special effects will most likely be not on the scale of Hollywood standards, but still looks like good fun.

okay okay, i'm back . haven't posted anything for about a week . i've been busy with school, work, and basketball... plus i haven't had anything interesting to blog about :]

anywho, i went shopping yesterday & fell in love at first sight with these shoes in the pictures below lol . they're Adidas "Cupie" ... however the hell you pronounce that lol . yeah ummm they're pretty bombb if you ask me . been getting HELLA compliments on em sooo yeah i love em even more now haha

A Week With Je'Toi Studio 5 & 6

As you can see with our ZERO post over the past couple weeks, our team has been completely busy. But good things have come as a result of it! For one Sydney's magazine is in stores now.

I think she has WAY better pictures the editor could've used for the cover and that she honestly looks WAY better in person than the actual cover image but eh. Can't wait to see her tomorrow :3

Also we've had quite a few site updates.

Cakesterr's blog is done, looks pretty neat and clean. Probably should find some good widgets for her.

Her post will be under this web design starting today.

Also I've decided to add a little spring flavor this site.

I have a few projects we're starting this weekend that I'd hopefully like to share by next week before Spring Break. Have a good weekend everyone .

Lingerie Edition

Just a reminder:
Sydney will be on the cover of the Special Lingerie Edition of Playboy a week from today.
Will post the scoop on it when I pick up my copy, kind of a big deal seeing our make-up artist getting out there.

Also Je'Toi's mother did her hair before the shoot, in other words if you want your hair looking sexy in the Houston area go to her hair salon! :)

"Company 3 has posted the "Akihabara Majokko Princess" music video that actress Kirsten Dunst (Spider-Man, Interview with the Vampire) and director McG (Terminator Salvation, Charlie's Angels) created with modern artist and director Takashi Murakami (Superflat Monogram). The four-minute video was first made public at the "Pop Life: Art in a Material World" art exhibit in London's Tate Modern museum."

For those of you who can find the hidden message in this video will find it quite genius.

Resume Design

For anyone who has ever applied for a job at a major retailer, most of them are done online. Furthermore, these applications often have an optional "attach resume" section or something similar.

Naturally, people choose to ignore this part due to feeling exhausted from answering the 50-100 e-questionnaire (I hate those things)
Are you excited clicking on this mouse pad? Really Excited? Kinda Excited? Or Fairly Excited?

or one would just quickly run to Microsoft Word, pull up a template and attach that. But seeing as these retailers get hundreds if not thousands of applications a week, and we're kind of still in recession mode, it might be a good idea to add a little flare to your resume to make you OUTstanding compared to the other applicants.

I'm sure these people are so bored of reading through generic, stale black and white resumes to the point I'm sure if you do go the generic route, if you type "I am the President of the United States" that the employers wouldn't even notice.

For my design I kept it simple and clean, yet fashionable enough to have someone remember it. Which comes to the overall and most important part of the resume, so you'll be remembered.

*Note: I didn't post a full image of the design to protect my references and past employers privacy. You can't tell but there are faint pink dots on the body section.

How to POP Yahoo! Mail for FREE!

Simply change your Yahoo! settings to Yahoo! Asia.
I did this by changing my location to Tokyo, Japan

For those of you who may not know, Yahoo! charges about $20 bucks a year for their premium "Pro" service of allowing you to access your emails on email clients such as Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, and Apple Mail. Using clients such as these gives you instant access to your emails without having the hassle of logging into each site individually.This process is done for free by Gmail by the way.

For Mac users I suggest Mail
For Windows users I suggest Thunderbird
(both clients are free)

The above image show me using my Apple Mail client, you can see I have 3 emails connecting to it giving me instant email access to all

For you Yahoo! users, switching your Yahoo! settings will do the trick without fail without those other buggy alternative applications that hack it.

A Week With Je'Toi Studio 4

Well this week went by extremely fast, mostly due to the fact I've been so busy that I completely lost sense of time. Business school is a B!!!!

This week Je'Toi Studio has been fairly quite site wise; handeling internal affairs: character design, paperwork, trademark preps, and such. All that non-special boring stuff that every other deviation studio goes through on a daily basis. But there are a couple of things worth noting.

For one we're officially one member greater, introducing Cortney, our new marketing promoter. She's cool and loves her iPhone. Really has been giving me insight on what needs to be done from a business standpoint.

For one, the Version 5 redesign. I knew I was going in a little risky with the Version 4 simple and clean look (trying to mimic Mac for the most part). She says it needs more flare, so I took a look at a few of my favorite sites also running on the DP 6 engine and came up with a few ideas for the blueprint I'm putting together this weekend.

Love Michael Buble's Music! His site running on DP. Oh and I just threw in a picture of Sydney for the hell of it, Je'Toi's mother did her hair before this shoot if your wondering how's it so awesome looking :P

Now this is something I'm really aiming for as the homepage. Fun, attractive, and giving the impact for viewers to engage deeper into it. Probably the best design I've seen thrown on this engine.

You should now see a clear direction of where version 5 is coming, I'll probably do a bit to implement to ideas from all three of these sites over the course of version 5's development. Til then expect to see minor changes on version 4 here and there, maybe some color changes this weekend perhaps ^_^
