SOS' songs were categorized as R&B. But in this latest album, looks like most of the tracks are slow pop with a little mix in R&B style. But overall, the tracks here are relatively 'easy listening' and more 'slow' than other R&B singer artists...If you like Exile, you may mostly like Skoop On Somebody's songs.

I admit that i'm not a huge fan of their stuff but they are one of the male bands that i sure can listen to. Their music is a nice mix of Pop and Rock, more on the rock side for that. Could be nicely compared to ORANGE RANGE or UVERworld if you want to.
So yes, good stuff and they even team up with some other artists on this one... azumi. <3>

Well, here we go with the debut full album (no, i do not count the anime cover one's) from singer turned cosplaying, cat eating, manga drawing, gravure idol nerd girl Shoko Nakagawa. :>
Beside her many other "talents", also singing is part of that since some time now. With already 5 singles released which for sure esp. her fans liked, now here her first full album.
What should i write about her... mh. Well i think she is some rather strange figure, at least for me. esp. that "cat eating" is something that made me go wtf?. xD But yeah, thats most likely what most westerners saw from her first and thats how she got "popular" over here. Its for sure not the only thing that she is good at... seems she is pretty decent at music too. I didn't listen to any of the singles before, guess i watched a few of her PVs but none of which i can remember now.
Listening to the album right now i can say that its not bad. Starts good with some faster Pop-Rock songs and her voice is kinda ok too. So yeah, if you indeed did like some of the previous singles, get this album and give it a go. If she is new to you, try the previews below as usual.

Weee~ finally, that awesome piano player with the rapid-fire but smooth vocals is back once again with his second major album! Guess he is rather popular around here when i have a look at the completed count of the last two albums that I've posted here. Great to see that and no wonder at all since man, that guy rocks.
I still stick with my "male Younha" definition, even if its a bit odd and may not be that fitting after all. xD
But still, its fun and i like that guy almost as much as Younha. :>
His music style sure is a bit different, mixing lots of different styles in here together with the piano sound...
like rock, some orchestral parts and pop here and there. But all in all a great mix and that with some unique singing.

Well, here we go with the first best of or rather single collection album from buriguri.
Long time nothing new from them and then, out of nothing, they came back last year with a few new songs also releasing this year. Those are also included on this single collection album of course. But what are they up to in the future? Will they release another studio album or will this 3 single 10th anniversary release together with this collection album be their last sign of life for some time? Well, who knows... but it sure would be nice if they would continue to make great music. Tommy is nice solo too but oh well, nothing beats buriguri. They are just fantastic and have sparked some great songs in their history, most of them included on this album.

The Brilliant Green is one of my fav band as well... their songs are some of the gems that bound me into Japanese music. Their style of music includes using Japanese metal guitar effect combined with a 'cute & rough' voice by their female vocalist, Tomoko Kawase. If you don't really bother with their discography yet, maybe this release will be a great contribution to your way to know more about their music style. Anyone mention Every Little Thing?

ABC is the solo project found by Yasu (Yasunori Hayashi) as the main vocalist of one of the most popular jrock band, Janne Da Arc Well...maybe that's why ABC's music style is very similar to JDA's. But overall, I like their songs...

J-eXodia: Resurrection!!

Hi there, welcome to J-eXodia:Resurrection!! After passing through a long way finding out how to blogging along with the widgets, RSS, google, etc, J-eXodia could finally back with it's new format. A weblog!!

There're some reasons why j-exodia has become this way (using blogger as main media). But the main reason is because blogs nowdays are very powerful to talk about something as well as to 'sell' something not to mention it's easily configured and customized tools. It's really useful for people even for newbies to create a website without having to learn so many stuff about web programming, CSS, HTML,PHP,ASP, or whatever it is....besides:

it doesn't need seperate hosting server
have complete enough and wide-variety features to choose from
google integrated
full costumizable for advanced user
very interactive
easy to edit content or customize layout
dll

The main role of this website is still as the mainpage of www.j-exodia.com which is an online shop that distributing jmusic mp3s and original copy DVDs in Indonesia (which is my personal small business at the time to support some expenses)...the difference is, with this new format, I think this blog could be usefull as a 'forum' or community at the same time to discuss about Japanese culture and Japanese music in particular which is very 'unusually' creative, and innovative to me.

From time to time, I will updating the list of my jmusic collections I owned which is viewable from the links beside... this whole list are sorted alphabetically. Most of them are downloaded from jpopsuki, tokyotosho, and nipponsei via torrent. In the future, I will do some review regarding my personal taste of musics, will post some popular new released albums or single, and I hope there'll be some of you who'd help contributing articles, reviews, lyrics, or anything (including downloads) related to jmusic. If you have one of these idea and willing to contribute regularly, please contact me to be added as an author of this blog (plain english only ^^)

I'm not an anti-piracy individual, nor supporting piracy in any ways...I just consider 'distributing' jmusic as it is, with or without cost. For some unfortunate people in certain countries, I found out that there's no way distributing jmusics other than downloading and distribute them freely (which is sometimes categorized as piracy or illegal distributions). For people who are living in some countries which afford to purchase the original copy, I hope you could still support the artist as an appreciation form of the hard works. In other circumtances and point of view, I too realize that not all of the money generated from the sold copies are paid to the artist. not even the large part. Sadly enough, the money you're paying for largely going into the records company's pocket. Only a small percentage are 'spared' for the artist....

End note related to my 'small shop':
One of the very interesting feature about this particular blog is that now visitors may view the list which will always be updated from time to time in realtime (published using google docs) and could fill out the ordering form instead of have to logging in into each email account to send email for placing orders...

OK enough for the intro, till this first post, the list is not finished updated yet. there're still so many titles not listed yet. In the end, please be patient and thanks a lot for the supports so that this blog could be established like this. I hope these improvement and features can be used to it's limit to provide you the informations you're looking for...

PS: The logo of J-exodia is changed too, this logo is captured from a wallpaper (grangos...something..I forgot, sorry..) I found while surfing, and I think it's really match the theme. This logo is showing a 'tribalic style' dragon (and guess what...yes! it forms 'G' key in music theory!!)...very "japanese" I think...
