Agricultural Awareness Events Coordinator and Exhibit Hosts

Do you have experience in the agriculture industry? Do you enjoy talking to an urban audience about farming - kids and adults alike? Are you interested in communicating and promoting public trust and confidence in food and farming? Do you want to travel to fun public events throughout the late summer and fall while building a great resume?

Farm & Food Care Ontario is looking for agricultural ambassadors who enjoy meeting new people and to execute our mobile agricultural experience program FarmzOnWheelz.

As an event coordinator and/or exhibit host, you will provide knowledge and expertise about Canadian farming to the public at a variety of events that families attend in Ontario.

Click here to see who will be travelling to Ontario from around the world this summer. Three international delegates will be arriving on May 26th and their first stop will be Zone 4- Wentworth, Haldimand-Norfolk, Brant, Oxford, Waterloo, and Niagara. Be sure to join in on the activities planned, meet the 'delegates' and travel a bit of our beautiful province!

Junior Farmers’ Association of Ontario chooses 2012 charity

April 30, 2012 –The Junior Farmers’ Association of Ontario (JFAO) has chosen the Farm & Food Care Foundation as its provincial charity for 2012. The decision was made by delegates to JFAO’s March Conference, held in Peterborough on March 31.

Each year Junior Farmer members, through their local clubs donate tens of thousands of dollars to local community organizations and projects across Ontario as well as hundreds of hours of volunteer service. In addition to their many local charitable initiatives, clubs from across the province together select an annual provincial charity to dedicate a portion of their fundraising efforts to in order to better make a difference.
